Morning! An easy 8 miles @ 8:32 average started off my day.
Poor Maddie had the craziest bloody nose along the way. Just as we were trying to figure out what to do, one of her friends drove by and had a tampon she could use. She only had to run with it for a bit before it cleared up, ha. Oh, and luckily some sprinklers helped her to wash all of the blood out of her cute top.
We went on one of my absolute favorite roads.
I’m thankful that Kneaders is always so kind to runners and allows us to grab water on really hot days. This was my reminder that I need to start bringing my handheld bottle.
We got outside together of course.
Brooke earned some money being my blog photographer for the afternoon, she is getting really good.
And Beck was connected to me for the rest of the day…. The best until you have to get anything done😉

Just a few favorite things this week:
*I have wanted a pair of sunglasses that somewhat resembles Andrew’s mountain biking glasses that just have one big lens. Goodr makes the best running sunglasses and I’m loving these. You don’t even realize you are wearing them while you are running.
*These from Costco. The creamiest sorbet with the best fruit flavors. I don’t get a stomachache with these like I do with ice cream even though it includes some cream!
*This episode is a must.
*Just in case you are in the mood to wear bright green apple pants like me lately. They are a bit cropped, so comfortable and the material feels like it was made to last for decades. I bought them for my expo talk last week and they work for any occasion. I have them in a size small!
Ashley has put together a virtual 5k to raise money for rare cancer research (she lost both of her parents to rare cancer) to fundraise for the Berlin marathon. Everything will go straight to cancer research and you can read more about it HERE.

That’s so weird about your friend’s bloody nose. But it is very dry out there. Thank goodness for the friend driving by.
I love those green pants! Super cute and such a fun color for spring and summer.
I haven’t been listening to podcasts lately, which is strange for me. So I will be checking the comments for suggestions too.

Goodr’s are my favorite sunglasses! I just bought the blue light glasses they make since I’ve noticed I get headaches on days I’m in the office which I’m guessing is always being on the computer. Doesn’t happen at home since I notice I walk more. Hopefully they work. Plus I bought my sister a pair since I think she’ll enjoy them. Bonus points for me that her birthday gift is ready to go months in advance ha.
So this is kind of cheating because I can’t pick one episode but I love Morbid! It’s a true crime podcast run by two sisters and so good to listen too. The one today was from a case back in the 18040s so they pick a wide range of cases to cover. Have a great Friday, Janae :)

Hahahaha I love the bloody nose fix! I’ve been wanting a pair of those goodrs, they remind me of my snowboarding goggles!! I always wear my goodrs running, I wore a hat and sunglasses for my last marathon and my friend said I looked like an incognito celebrity. 🤣🤣 (but way more awkward obviously).
I have a 5k tomorrow and it’s going to be HOT and HUMID! Hopefully I can run a little quicker than my last race, but we’ll see!!

I have so many goodr sunglasses my family thinks I have a problem. :) I wear sunglasses virtually all the time, even on cloudy days. No clue how anyone goes outside on a bright sunny day without wearing any!

I just ordered a pair of Goodrs for my husband yesterday–and of course added a pair for myself! ;-)
My weekend plans are lame–babying my tibia on the couch! I ran way too much the last few weeks (we had suuuuch good weather–like 50s every morning!!–and so I basically doubled my normal base, added speed and hills–you know, all the stuff you’re NOT supposed to do!–and after 3 weeks of that my old stress fracture site is complaining!). I’m hoping that if I give it a couple of weeks off it will be fine; I’ve got 21 weeks until my fall marathon so now is the time to rest it!
Podcasts–I am having the best time catching up on Ali on the Run! I was way behind bc I was always listening to Peloton runs so I could get my annual challenge minutes in, but now that they’ve added the Just Run feature I’m getting through 2-3 podcast episodes per run which is amazing! I’m also really excited for the new running podcast that Lindsey Hein of I’ll Have Another just dropped this week. And I also love Dear Bob and Sue, which is all about the national parks. It’s getting me excited for summer adventures (we used their podcasts to basically plan our whole spring break trip to Zion, Arches, Canyonlands, and Bryce).

I need prescription glasses, so as much as I love the look of Goodrs, I’ve gotta stick to my Oakleys..and I cannot handle contact lenses..
I’m finally getting my first aid training done tomorrow….seriously, with my history, anyone running with me needs to have that more then me..I fall a lot, even during today’s morning run I tripped while running through a ATV trail….yikes
and Sunday…run, bike and swim!
