Good morning Janae!
I am going to check out your 45 minute class. For some reason I have no issues with 30 minutes daily on the Peloton but that jump to 45 just seems too much, lol! I think I can count on one hand how many 45 minute classes I have done out of the 200+ rides I have done now. I need to challenge myself!
I just read something this morning as I was journaling that really resonated and has me all fired up to go today! Here it is: “People need you to be you, for you to fulfill your purpose. Once you know you are good at something you love to do, you manifest how you can help people through your purpose.” I have known this to be true for myself over the past two years and am grateful I am able to help in my community. It just fuels me to be better in my craft!
I loved cross country and basketball as a sport, I really miss that team aspect!
I live in Hawaii where I have zero reason to have a treadmill but I am honest when I tell you I am eyeing the Peloton tread just for the people.
Green beans..it is truly astounding how many green beans I eat!

Hahahah I relate so much… 45 minutes feels like you are really committing to something. I think it was only my second time going that long… not sure how people do 60 minute classes. I will say the time went by very fast! Thank you for sharing that quote. I’m going to read that one to my kids this morning when they wake up. Beautiful. Ohhhhhhh I want the Peloton treadmill so so much too. I’ll eat some green beans soon in honor of you! Have the most beautiful day in Hawaii. Thanks Amanda!

That dessert looks delicious and I want it. Yum!

Today I have the third day of a work training class and I’m already counting down to 5 pm so that I can walk my dog then get in a warm bath with some new bath oils I got, my book and a glass of wine.

Hey Maureen! I hope that the day speeds by at the work training class and that it is 5 pm before you know it❤️ Enjoy your evening and add a delicious dessert to the evening too!

Best day of my life! Love this mindset. I am going to make it my sentence of the day!

Reply

Oh I am so glad you loved it. Me too! Why not make each day the best?! Enjoy Jo and I know I’ve told you this before but whenever I see your comment with your name it makes me so happy because it is my mom and Skye’s middle name.

I love your nephew’s mindset! Yes, why not make it your best day/week!?!
I love running in the cold, up to the point where it’s below 20° ( obviously not here, but when we’re in Colorado or Chicago). I love that crisp feeling on my face.
Yay! Knox is home ?
I have those same leggings and love them.
Everyone has today off for Veterans day, it’s going to feel like the weekend, ha.
Have a good day Janae!

Right?! I am just so amazed by him and what he teaches me each and every day! I am so with you on the 20-degree border, below that and it just hurts ha. Are you going to Colorado anytime soon? Or Chicago? Aren’t they the best leggings for such a great deal. Enjoy the day together. Thanks Wendy!

We’re actually flying to Chicago tomorrow :) It’s the last game (and a home game) of the season for our son’s football team on Saturday. I’m so excited! We haven’t seen him in person since this summer.
Thanks Janae!

Wow—your nephew’s words/email!!! That is so powerful–thank you for sharing it because I need to remember that. Life is fleeting; why not make every day the best that it can be?! Okay, my sentence of the day—“Don’t overthink it……”

And, another wow–Skye looks so different in that gymnastics picture with her hair pulled back! I didn’t reconize her!

I feel like I eat either sweet potatoes or brussels sprouts most often. I try to eat some kind of sweet potato-based lunch on the days where I run during the school week, and brussels are just so easy to throw on a tray and roast to put in lunches during the week. I NEVER ate them as a kid, but I really do like them now, esp. when they’re crispy :)

Reply

You are so welcome, he is sure teaching me each week! And I love your sentence and that is just what I needed:) Right?! I did it again today because I loved her hair so much yesterday. Those are my two veggies that I eat a lot of too. You just can’t go wrong with them! The crispier the better for me! Hope your day is a beautiful one, Jen!

If you like the PoweZone Endurance class check out the PowerZone Pack website at pzpack.com. There are challenges that are posted quarterly as well as mini-challenges. It is a lot of fun. Matt Wilber’s is an amazing coach as are all of the other PowerZone instructors.

Just bookmarked the site, thank you Julie! I am excited to join in on some of the mini-challenges. I hope you are having a beautiful day!

I’ve loved following along as you do more and more Peloton classes! Any chance you could share more information on what class(es) you take each day? (At least for the ones you’re loving!) I think it’d be fun for your readers to do some of the great classes you’ve found and whenever you try something new (like 45 minute endurance–whew!), I find myself wanting to try it, too!

Also, I’m impressed by your nephew’s mindset–what a great reminder that it is all about attitude. I hope his mission is going well!

Reply

Taylor, that’s a fabulous idea! ABSOLUTELY! I want to set up a time that we all do a class together, wouldn’t that be fun? I will start posting which ones I do, thanks again and yesterday I did 45 minute sweat steady ride with Jess King from 11/06/21! Let me know if you try it and what you think. Thank you, he is loving it so far. Have the best day!

Reply

Yay! Can’t wait to do the Jess King ride! And oh my goodness, doing a class together would be so fun!! And if we did one that wasn’t live, it’d be pretty easy to tell who was an HRG Rider :) (since the live ones tend to have a ton of people from all over the place, but the replayed ones often don’t have that many riders on at any given time–in my experience, at least.)

Oh that is so so true. Okay, I’m going to put one together… I am SO excited!

Hi Janae! Luckily I’ve never lived anywhere where it snows regularly in the winter, so I can keep running outside. the vegetables I eat most are probably whatever looks good at Costco.. cauliflower, brussel sprouts, broccoli. Wish they sold cabbage too!
Have an awesome day!

Reply

Can I come run with you this winter when I get sick of the snow? Hahaha we do that with Costco produce too hahaha. They do need cabbage there! Thanks Amy, you too!

Reply

Absolutely!! Oregon has some nice trails, sometimes I run in Nike campus and see some super fast people. My dream is to see Shalane or one of the women she coaches running.

Running around Oregon sounds like heaven… Please let me know the day you come across one of them. I hope you do soon!

Can I call “bagged salad kit” a vegetable? It’s a combination of vegetables (even if it’s just mixed lettuces…each one is unique!!!), but honestly too many nights Tom and I make a bagged salad kit and quickly cook a protein and slap it on top and call it dinner. It’s MY way of managing the fact that I am the primary cook in the house (who does legit enjoy cooking but gets tired of it), that Tom doesn’t often like to even think about what we should have for dinner, and I want to keep everything in our budget AND time spent grocery shopping as minimal as possible.

Your burgers from date night look AMAZING. I approve! *AND* I approve of that dessert choice. It looks so good!

I have a similar looking pair of black/grey camo leggings by CRZ Yoga, but I have heard a lot of great things about the brand you’re wearing (esp that they’re the closest dupe to lulu aligns out there…), so next time I am doing amazon.com retail therapy I seriously might need to look into getting those. Especially if I can find a capri/crop version that’s a 23″ inseam (full length on me) or 21″ inseam (7/8 length on me–I AM SO DANG SHORT).

What temp do you cook your sweet potatoes at in the air fryer and for how long? I love sweet potatoes, but I usually shy away from getting them since Tom hates them (I also shy away from getting things he loves that I hate–lol). BUT, since I work from home many days and the air fryer won’t heat up the entire apartment, that might be a great solution for me. I do love sweet potatoes!!!!!

Reply

You absolutely can… we love those salad kits too! Some days are just way too busy to cook much more than that, you guys are doing amazing. We ate reallllllly good luck night. You really should try out the leggings, I forgot how soft they felt on my skin until yesterday. 390 for the sweet potatoes and I usually just check them every few minutes until they look/taste done. Yesterday I think it was about 8 minutes. Let me know what you think, I think you are going to love it!

I don’t mind running in the cold! I love getting outside, so as long as I bundle up, I know I’ll warm up while running. Did a run this morning with a friend because I had the day off of work. Then went to a new coffee shop, had an amazing latte and pastry.

We played soccer as kids, but gymnastics looks so fun! Glad Skye is enjoying.

Bundling up is KEY for the winter and really makes it so fun if you are dressed well! Enjoy your day off and I love that you had a run with a friend and then went to the new coffee shop. Sounds like the perfect morning! Thanks Mariah and I hope you get in some relaxation today!

My sentence of the day is “let’s go see some dinosaurs” because tomorrow me and the kids are going to the museum to see their dino exhibit!
I took horseback riding lessons for years and loved every second of it.
Give me cold weather ANY day over the treadmill. I wish I had your fondness for it. I appreciate it for what it allows me to do (run inside safely) but boy do I find it boring!
My favorite veggies are broccoli and sweet potatoes, and luckily my whole family loves those, too :)
Have a great day, Janae and family!

Reply

Ummmmm do you mind if the kids and I fly across the country to come join you guys at the dino exhibit? HOW FUN! I love that you did that and I really need to find a way to get Brooke riding again! I think more people are on your side of the treadmill love/hate questions! Both are delicious veggies. Thanks Stacey, you too!
