Thank goodness for activities that get in my need for Vitamin D when I am not running/going on walks etc! I think the fresh air and sunshine are among the biggest reasons I love running, so it felt so good to get out of the house with Andrew, Beck, and Skye to Sundance.
The leaves were unreal.
It was Beck’s first time on the chair lift, and he took in every sight and sound the whole way. We were on the chair lift for about an hour round-trip, and Skye had stories for us the entire way… She is a chatter just like me;)
Because sometimes you have to get a cookie for everyone as an appetizer. Life is too short to miss out on face-sized cookies.
We ordered the nachos from the restaurant at the top of the mountain, and it was heavenly.
We realized on the way up that we had lost Beck’s blanket…
We saw it on the way back down, and then Andrew ran up half of the mountain to go and get it. I was most definitely jealous of the Sundance trail running that he got in;)
I went to an excellent PT for dry needling, and I can actually put some pressure on my left foot again. Hallelujah. I go again on Thursday, and I think this is going to solve the problem… Along with the other 50 things I am currently doing (I’ll write a detailed post on everything I am doing, so it is all in one place once I heal this foot).
I never knew such pain existed. It hurt so bad. I cried, and I was sweating like crazy when the needles were inserted. They kept them in for 15 minutes and every few seconds the needle pulsed, causing more of an aching feeling, but the needle’s insertion was next-level pain. Dry needling helps to reduce the tightness and tone of the muscles that are causing the pain.
The pain was worth it to feel a bit more mobile!
The heat pack after felt so good, and I’ll stick to only heat (no ice) for 24 hours.
Just a few questions…
Does anybody else find remnants of fruit snacks in their hair (even though they can’t remember the last time they ate a fruit snack themselves)?
Does anybody else want to freeze time? I want them all to be at this age forever.
Does anybody else KNOW that this is the best cereal that has ever been created? It’s at Costco right now if you haven’t tried it yet.
Does anybody else jump on one foot to the hot tub first thing in the morning in an attempt to take away the knife in the heel pain? I SURE HOPE THE ANSWER IS NO ha and that this morning I won’t have to do this because of my dry needling.
Does anybody else get injured and then realize how incredibly grateful they are for the days when they can walk with absolutely zero pain?! Injuries always change my perspective on things!
Are you much of a chatter? Does it depend on the person you are talking to?
-I will tell my entire life story to every human I meet, which is probably one of the reasons I force you guys to talk with me every day;)
Can you answer any of my anybody else questions?
Last baked good that you had, and please rate in on a scale from 1-10?
Does it feel like fall where you are? Are the leaves changing? Needing more sweaters?
