I have Beck’s 6 week update HERE! Feel free to check it out:)
It felt like a miracle but Andrew and I were able to work out (he rowed while I walked) together yesterday morning (thanks to our baby monitors and sleeping kids). Andrew is loving having a rower in our garage and I cannot wait to use it. My 6 week appointment is this week so I’ll talk to my doctor about what exercises I can start!
I had the idea during our workout yesterday that we should get another treadmill someday so we can run side by side in the garage.
Skye was so excited to see that we had new snow and in this picture I realized that she is now six feet tall;)
Beretta was also very thrilled about the new snow.
Beck was pretty chill during the day…
And Andrew and I finished all of our Christmas shopping and wrapping (we are celebrating Christmas tomorrow with our kids because Brooke and Knox will be gone on Christmas) which was very exciting.
I have a few pictures to share from my phone over the last few days.
*This is me every single night of my life.
*I love this picture of my mom and dad so I thought I would share it here too.
*Can you believe Beck’s eyelashes?! They are double as long as mine are.
*Brooke found out about making edible slime and it involves melting gummy worms to make it.. the dishes were fun for that and thankfully the glob in Skye’s hair came out after some TLC.
*When my mom is over, Skye does not leave her side. Also, Skye came into the kitchen with a collared shirt under her sweatshirt that she picked out all on her own (I’ve never put those together on her) and I thought she looked quite preppy.
*Beretta is getting to know Beck a bit more each day but she is not about to give up her favorite spot of putting her head on Andrew’s leg.
*I’m feeling very thankful… This waterfall (not the best picture because it felt like we were in a cloud when I took it) was almost bought by a company which would make it no longer open to the public for free. We spend a lot of time at this waterfall and I run on it’s path often when I’m running so I was very happy when the decision was made to leave it open to the public.
*Happily Fed (AN AMAZING ANTI-DIET ACCOUNT TO FOLLOW) posted this the other day and her answers were raw almonds, plain greek yogurt and dark chocolate. It really made me think about what I used to eat because they were ’safe’ foods or I thought they were healthy and I SHOULD eat them or the diet industry told me to eat them even if I didn’t really enjoy them. She goes on to say, “You don’t have to eat certain foods that certain ‘experts’ claim are ‘healthy.” Satisfaction is the most valuable and most underlooked aspect of human nutrition. When you are satisfied (which includes being full) you can move on to other important matters.”
Just another reminder of a new Beck updated!
What were some foods that you have eaten in the past that you didn’t really like but you ate it because you thought you should?
-Only the egg whites (I LOVE the yolks), fat-free cheese/yogurts/salad dressings and ridiculously large amounts of vegetables.
Those of you with dogs… how are they with kids?
