And just like that, Christmas is over… this last month has flown by!
My day started off with a few miles in 17 degree weather before Andrew went to work.
Once Skye woke up I had her open one present from Santa (we did presents from me and Andrew with Brooke and Knox and then Santa gifts yesterday) and then waited to do the rest for when Andrew was home.
We spent the day at my sister’s house.
Her couches are the best to snuggle on.
Lots of facial expressions yesterday.
Skye kept ‘calling’ Brooke and Knox on her new phone.
STEAK for dinner… it was so good.
Food coma.
And homemade oreos for dessert. We also subbed in funfetti cake mix into the oreo recipe for the other batch to try another variation. They were delicious.
Brooke comes home today and I cannot wait to see her!

Taking a day off from the exercise bike (my legs are SORE, but in the good way) and doing some yoga/Pilates! Other than that, we are just taking it easy…the time after Christmas always feels a little weird, but pretty relaxing, too. Maybe I’ll have to bake again…so excited for you to have Brooke back!
I listened to you on the Suite Run podcast yesterday and I dreamed last night I was out running the Utah trails!! I guess it really sunk into my subconscious…or I miss traveling and running…or both!! Might have to book a trip to Utah when it’s safe again!

We can do this and all it takes is trying for a few minutes and then adding upon that over the weeks and months. I know you can do this and I’ll be your biggest cheerleader!

Your day sounds nice and cozy with family. I am so glad Brooke comes home-it will be so fun having her back.
Today we had some sun but as soon as we got on our bikes, it started to lightly snow! Luckily we took the bikes with spiked tires but it was fine. It’s a holiday over here so lots of families were out walking (but there is nothing open today, just gas stations!)and enjoying fresh air.
