Of course I am grateful for my family’s health (albeit we are on a two week quarantine as my son’s entire grade at his school was exposed), and for my treadmill desk so that I can get in my runs, but also for my new job I started Monday! Yahoo! I realize this is a tough economy and feel this is a bit out of the norm, but I’ve been looking for a while (and more passionately after my part-time job dissolved at the end of July. Yip-yip: YIPPEE!

P.S. In true Hungry Runner Girl fashion I ordered 4 Thanksgiving dinners for our quarantine: Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat. It’s my favorite holiday of the year!

Happy Thanksgiving to Janae and the HRG family and community!

I am also on self quarantine from my family since a coworker tested positive. I go in for an MRI on my left knee next week. I will find out if I can continue running or if I need to become a full time cyclist, lol. I can give more details after I get the results if you are interested.

Hey John! I hope your quarantine is going well and please let me know what they say after your MRI! Thinking about you and hoping you can keep running! Thank you and have a beautiful day!

Happy thanksgiving!

There is always so much to be thankful for, even in the middle of so much frustration and even when that gratitude feels complicated. Today I am grateful for the community I have at one of the gyms where I teach, and for a body that loves to move, and for an amazingly generous and compassionate husband who is my softest place to land and BEST reality check (and the real MVP in our two-person Team Awesome), and for friends who have lifted me up, been an amazing support system, and helped me feel loved and cheered on no matter how hard things have gotten. And I am grateful that even when stress-eating cookies and cheetos has been part of my reality that athleisure has plenty of stretch!!!

I ran my own personal 5K today – the farthest I’ve gone since recovering from a second hip surgery this summer. It was the first run I’ve had since then where nothing hurt, I wasn’t struggling, and finally felt the joy of running again. So thankful for this body that will still let me run after all I’ve put it through!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Ha, I know exactly how you feel! Congrats on your 5K!

At the risk of sounding super sappy, I have to say I’m thankful for you! You’ve been my favorite blogger since way back when (I’ve been reading your blog way pre-Brooke!). I appreciate your optimism, all that you share about running, the ups and downs in life, and well, you being you.
I hope you and your beautiful family had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
