TEN YEAR BLOGIVERSARY (+giveaway)!

Ten years.  Ten.

That seems crazy to me when I think about the fact that I have posted 5,143 blog posts… You’d think I’d have run out of things to say, miles to talk about and pictures to share!

Ten years ago I decided to start oversharing all of my thoughts on the internet and I haven’t stopped since then.  I started blogging as a way to connect with other running-obsessed humans while I was injured and found over the years that we can all relate to so much more than just running.  I’ve always felt like I was just chatting with a few of my closest friends each day online and that is why I’ve stuck to blogging for so many years now.  I really am so thankful for each one of you and for your love through the highs and the lows.  Thanks for seeing past the ridiculous amounts of mistakes I make, helping me to grow and for sharing your time and thoughts with me.  I owe you all big time.

Here’s to more posts, more connections and another year of blogging!

I thought it would be fun to share a few of my top viewed posts over the years just in case any of them interest you!

Congratulations on your 10 year blog-Versary!! We have zero in common except for that I’m a marathon runner in my mind. I really hoping that you have a boy so you can name him River! I started following you after the birth of Brooke. Life is tough and it’s been such a joy to see your growth through all your ups and down. So I hope the next 10+ years are everything that you need it be to continue to kick life butt!!

Congrats on 10 years! That is amazing to still be blogging this much. I am a newish reader and started following you when you announced you were pregnant with Skye. I had just found out I was pregnant and was excited to follow some pregnant ladies. Then I had a miscarriage and you had happened to make a post around that same time (or maybe it just popped up after a post) about your divorce and thoughts looking back at that time. I don’t even remember what you said but whatever it was really helped me. They are different hardships but I just remembered feeling like I would get through that hard time and I would be okay. So thanks for sharing a little bit of your life with us! You are such a great positive and inspiring person and that’s just what we need more of.

Congratulations on 10 years!
I really enjoy reading your blog every day. I’ve really appreciated your reminders lately about how running will always be there. It’s not a pregnancy that’s dropped my miles way down. I’ve recently gone back to school, and the schedule of parenting plus school just isn’t giving me as much time to run as I would like. Your posts have helped me remember that it’s only temporary, and someday I’ll have time for more miles again! Have a great day!

Reply

Congratulations on 10 years!! I love starting my day “with you” and am so thankful for your authenticity and consistency! Cheers to another 10 and more!

Love your blog! It’s keeping me connected to running right now while on a pretty major surgery break, so thank you! (Speaking of which, if anyone has had a PAO surgery and returned to running I’d love to hear details of how long it took and tips!)
Brooks Adrenalines are my go to! :)

Reply

I have really loved reading your blog! I have been here for 9 years. I can’t believe that!!

I want to try out brooks ghost or glycerins. I am in Hokas for awhile as my doctor told me, only those for at least 6 months after my heel fracture and then I can branch out. I miss Brooks, they just fit my foot better. I appreciate the padding of my Hokas, heck the ONLY way I actually could walk when I was waiting to see the doctor was with Hokas.

We are also waiting to find out gender :) – my favorite brooks shoes are glycerin size 8

Hi! I literally read your blog everyday while I sip coffee and get going for the day. I’m in a crazy period of back in school again…this time gearing up to begin nursing school in Jan. I ran my first marathon last November and if you can believe this…my longest run since then has been 5 miles! School and heading back to work and juggling three kiddos plus husband and my miles have taken a nose dive…but I have been faithful in running 4-5 times a week and I’ll take it for this season right now. But, I totally need a new pair of shoes. It’s time after almost a year! Congratulations on 10 years of sharing your life with many…it’s an encouragement to us! ❤️

Reply

Happy 10 year anniversary! I have only been reading for about 4 years now, but I really appreciate what you do!
