Some News to Tell You!

We are all so excited to share something with you…

I’m 15 weeks pregnant! (I was so excited to buy this tank:)

I’ll be sharing more information on HRG BABY with this pregnancy but for a quick little summary now:

*Andrew and I feel so beyond blessed to get the chance to add another one to our crew.  There were a lot of years that I dreamed about having more babies before meeting Andrew and I just feel very lucky.

*The morning sickness is just starting to chill out (luckily, homeschooling started just about the same time that the morning sickness started ha).   My morning sickness usually started around 11 am and lasted until I fell asleep each day which meant I was able to get things done in the morning but then I was on my couch for 99% of the rest of the day.

*Running is going great!  I’ve slowed down, I take more walk breaks and I’m just thankful that running makes me feel more like myself during this time.

*I’ve been having the most random food aversions and cravings (I did have to google one day if it was possible to overdose on oranges).  I hope there is a day in the near future where I like water again ha.

*Knox is praying daily that it is a boy, Brooke is hoping she gets another sister, Andrew and I think it is a boy and…

*Skye refuses to believe the news and tells us that SHE is the baby.

Congratulations! Wonderful news!

In both of my pregnancies, I had pretty strong aversions to fish and chicken until I got through the first trimester. In my first pregnancy, I craved sweets (cookies, brownies) and Granny Smith apples (the tart, green ones). In my second pregnancy, I craved salt and vinegar potato chips. :)

Congrats to you and the whole family, Janae! This is exciting, as both you and Tina Muir are expecting right now and are sure to provide helpful pregnant running stories (I myself am 28 weeks along). Best wishes for a healthy pregnancy.

So many congratulations to you all!! I’m pregnant too, just a few weeks behind you! Skye and my daughter are also just about a month apart. Our pregnancies sound super similar. I too googled if it was possible to have too much vitamin C. I’ve been eating oranges like candy!!

Congratulations !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So happy for your family! And I love that tank !! I didn’t really have any aversions but my one cravings was Skim Milk. I am not a milk drinker, ever. Once pregnant, I drank 2-3 gallons per week. Would literally chug a whole glass right before dinner each night. As soon as she was born, right back to not drinking it ever. BUT my kid had severe milk allergies !! (not lactose intolerant, but an allergy to the protein in it) Whoops, sorry about that. lol Not sure if that’s a weird coincidence or what, but it’s sure strange. But I guess I did OD her on milk …. And my friend craved brownies (not a bad thing) and she ate a pans of them by herself and her kid is not allergic to brownies. So I don’t know, haha.
Wishing you all the best and a safe pregnancy !

Congrats! I googled the same thing when I was pregnant with my daughter. I ate cuties like there was no tomorrow. I also hated the taste of plain water, it tasted metallic, so I had to put like lemon juice or some sort of flavoring just so I made sure I was getting some water.

Congratulations! Honestly, I just KNEW you were pregnant.

Weird aversions? #1: ground beef. #2: milkshakes and comfort food #3: frosted cheerios and Costco rolls (I was super sick, on TPN, so water and food with color was OUT. All foods that tasted good were bland/white: bread, potatoes, rice) #4: wonton soup, and rocky road ice cream. The funny thing is I am not a meat eater so pregnancy #1 really threw everyone off, especially me!

Love all of Skye’s bandaids!!!!

Congratulations to ALL of you!!!! (insert all the heart and cute emojis)

YAY YAY YAY!! I’m so excited for your family :) You’ve definitely hidden it well–I wasn’t even suspicious, though now I’m remembering a few times you mentioned napping :) Congratulations!
Food issues were different for me with each pregnancy. Cravings (with different ones): deep dish pizza, fresh tomatoes, oyster crackers, squash (all kinds, and that kid doesn’t like squash), scrambled eggs on PLAIN English muffins. Aversions (starting 22 years ago & still can’t handle): garlic, onions, aroma of chana masala; temporary: depended on the day or time of day.

Oh yay! Congratulations! I had a feeling this was in the air. I’m so so excited for you both. ?

Congratulations Janae, and for your family too! I hope you have a wonderful pregnancy and a healthy baby. I never had particular cravings, but I didn’t like coffee as much as I usually do. Best part of my weekend was that my husband drove me to a village 10 kilometres from our house and I ran home over a trail through the meadows. I have a booklet of walks in our neighbourhood and I’m hoping to run on them all. This was the first half of the second one, it ‘ll take a while to finish, but that’s okay. Have a great day!

Wonderful news!!!!! I had the biggest aversion to chicken my first pregnancy. I could only eat corn muffins for breakfast. My 2nd pregnancy I HATED water…unless it was sparkling. I drank a LOT of Perrier and Pelegrino. I also really hated food in general esp when my “morning sickness” hit every afternoon and i had a lot of smoothies for lunch!!! Congrats on the new addition ❤️❤️❤️

Janae, no joke I literally thought to myself yesterday, I wonder if HRG is pregnant? Aw that is so awesome congratulations! I don’t know if it was the grapes and cottage cheese pic from the other day or what but something made me think that maybe you were.
Pass along the congrats to Andrew!

Congratulations!!! Your family is very cute. I had an aversion to water with my first child … and he turned out to be a boy! I don’t remember everything, but what I do remember:

Kid #1: Aversion to water, salmon, and coffee. I don’t remember specific cravings. No morning sickness. BOY!
Kid #2: I don’t remember any aversions. Cravings: Starbucks decaf iced vanilla latte, blueberry muffins. Just a few episodes of morning sickness. GIRL!
Kid #3: Aversion to water. Craving for deli meat (darn) and soda (which I almost never drink). Mild but incessant morning sickness until about 16 weeks. BOY!

Janae, that is so fabulous! I remember several years ago when you thought having triplets was amazing so I imagined that there were more babies in your future. Your children are all incredibly fortunate to call you Mama :)

Reply

Congratulations that is so exciting! Some good news is that my older daughter is finally interacting more with her baby sister. I think becoming a big sister rocked her world and it took her awhile to warm up. With my second pregnancy I had a huge aversion to all things dairy. I could eat a little bit of ice cream, but outside of that dairy was something I avoided. Even 8 months postpartum my stomach cannot handle a lot of dairy. The best part of our weekend was starting a back yard renovation!
