Silentish Saturday!!!

Very early 10 miles + some strength training + a little girl who woke up very excited to make bracelets together.

She asked for a nap at 9:30 a.m. (aka 3ish hours earlier than normal)!

During Skye’s nap we watched Disney rides on Youtube because we are planning on going as soon as this is all over.

Your weather looks great! And your sprouts… you have sprouts !!! So exciting. 1. Cleaning out my car. It’s bad. Could take awhile. 2. Going for a bike ride. 3. Making a dessert of some kind. 4. Side walk chalk creations. This has been a big thing the last week.

Thank you for being excited about the sprouts ha… I’m so thrilled:) You are inspiring me to attempt cleaning up my car. Enjoy that bike ride and let me know what dessert you end up making. We need to join in on the side walk chalk creations too! Thanks Michele and enjoy your weekend!

I listened to that podcast on my run today too! i love Des and will listen to any and every podcast that she’s on (same for Jared Ward.) I’ll spend the rest of the day cleaning the house and getting ready for Easter! Even though my kids are 11 and 17, they still get Easter baskets and plastic eggs filled with candy hidden around the house. Have a great day Janae!

I’m the same way… if I see Des or Jared on a podcast, I will 100% listen. Enjoy getting ready for tomorrow and I’ll be just like you and continue to do Easter for our kids as long as they let me:) Thanks Jenny, you too!

Well I was supposed to race today, but the race was cancelled of course. It was a 5K. I ended up running it around my neighborhood and finished with a 20:13 time! I was pretty happy since last thanksgiving I ran a 21:44 and last month I ran a 20:20! I was supposed to run the Rock n roll marathon in Nashville 2 weeks from now, but that’s been canceled. So instead, I will end up running that marathon around my neighborhood as well! I ran a 3:45 marathon last December (my first one), so this will be exciting! I hope you have a great day

ALEX, way to go!!! You crushed it and did it all on your own?! You keep knocking time off! I am cheering so loud for your marathon in two weeks and will you PLEASE let me know how it goes?! Thank you and you too. You just pumped me up to get out and do my races (on my own)!

We finally have sun today!!! So you know I’m doing everything outside! Run, pull weeds ( after all this rain pulling weeds should be easy), walk, just sit in the warm sun.
Ok, that picture of Brooke with sunglasses makes her look 16. Such a sweet, pretty girl ?
Have a great Saturday and a wonderful Easter!

I AM SO HAPPY that you guys finally have sunshine, enjoy every second outside! I agree, the sunglasses made her look like a teen! Thank you Wendy, you too!

I wish my kids liked fresh air half as much as yours do…. I have to practically bribe them to get them out! LOL!
My list for the day is: roasting brussels and sweet potatoes now to go with fried eggs for breakfast after the kids destroy their easter baskets (we’re spreading Easter over the weekend!), cleaning out the fridge and doing yoga and strength training later.
Have a great weekend and Happy Easter!

Hahaha there are definitely days I have to bribe too! Sounds like a fabulous weekend and I need that fried egg combo! Have the best day Jenny!

Hi Janae!

First, I just wanted to tell you how much I love reading your blog! It has definitely been a breath of fresh air these days! Thank you! My three things:
-22 mile bike ride this morning- I’ll take the nice weather in Chicago while we have it!
– picking up a used bike trainer for when the weather is sub-optimal (ankle a little beat up and cannot run…so sad!)
-Watching and most likely finishing The Crown this evening. My favorite show ever!

Have a wonderful Easter!

Reply

Colleen, thank you so much for telling me that. It really motivates me to keep blogging through this all. SO happy you had such a great ride with such great weather too! I hope your trainer works out really well and that your ankle is happy to run again soon. ENJOY The Crown and I need to watch that! Thanks and you too!

This is so random, but I bought the morning summit cereal from Costco that you had mentioned a while back and it is UNREAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Reply

This is WONDERFUL news and I’m so glad you told me. That stuff is addicting! Enjoy and try it with bananas and raspberries too:)

Reply

Does Brooke plan on visiting her dad during all this?

Reply

Hey Kourtney! Sadly she won’t be seeing him for a while. I know it’s very hard for both of them but he completely understands (and has been sheltered in place for even longer than Utah has). I hope you have a beautiful weekend!

Reply

Hey there! Love reading your blog, it’s so positive! I am wondering about your shorts in the first pic. Could you share a link for them? They look so comfy.

I am soo excited for sun today!!

I ran 6 miles, cleaned the back porch, and we’re making pizzas and s’mores tonight!
