I’d like to hear more about that snack! Which Boars Head Turkey is that? What type of cheese? Our grocery store just started carrying Boars Head and I can’t find one I love…

Reply

Hey Jenny! I love the swiss cheese and maple honey turkey the best. Let me know if you try it and what you think. Enjoy your Thursday!

I made the enchilada stuffed sweet potatoes from yesterday’s post. Soooo good! Total hit.

That makes me so happy!! I had the leftovers for lunch yesterday and they make great leftovers too. Hope your day is a bright one Marcia and thanks for telling me.

OMG! You look so much like your niece in that picture!

I thought the same thing and Brooke looks so much like my niece when she was 7… some strong genes over here! I hope you have a fabulous day Mary!

I’ve tried to change my hairstyle but.. I keep going back. I feel like long dark hair with a side part is maybe just the real me?

Reply

I relate to you so much… its just the real us!!!

I eat that same snack all the time. It’s quick and easy and I feel like I’m getting good protein.
My hair hasn’t changed too much over the years. The length varies, but the style doesn’t. That’s funny. Although, I did do a lot of perms in high school 😜
I have a twin sister, and we’re the youngest in a family with 6 kids, so we shared a bed until Jr. High when my older sisters were starting colleges. So many good memories of sharing a room.

Reply

I didn’t know that you had a twin sister. That is so cool and I love that you shared a bed even! I did with my sister for a while too:) . Good memories! Wait so what is this quick and easy snack?!

Reply

Ha ha… apparently I can’t type this morning :P
I shared a bedroom, not bed, with my sister. Funny that I didn’t catch that!
The snack is the same snack in your picture, turkey and cheese rolled up together. It’s the best!
Yep, I have a twin sister. We were very close, with little periods of time when we weren’t so close. But it’s like having a built in best friend :)
Have a great day Janae

Hahah it was too early… you wrote it the right way! It’s the best snack! I love that you have each other. Thanks Wendy and I hope your day is great too! Oh and haha my sister and I actually shared a bed!

I can relate, same long hair side part style. I tried bangs, that was the mistake of 2013. The only difference is my hair is blonde and somewhat naturally curly. Not nice easy naturally curly either, more like I have to work to make it straight or curly.
I snack on rolled meat/cheese all the time! Sometimes I put a little gherkin pickle in the roll too. :)
Have a great day!

Reply

Oh I forgot I tried bangs too! I bet those made it hard with curly hair. Well now to try it with a gherkin pickle. Thanks Shannon and have a beautiful day!

Reply

Always going back to the same hairstyle here too! I go short and styled but then start pulling it back into a pony as soon as the hair reaches. I’ve stopped trying!
Please give us your review of those Kiehl’s products after you’ve tried them out. Just starting to use Kiehl’s also, so would be great to have tips!
Have a great day!

Reply

I use a lot of Kiehl’s products, hair & skin and that Hydro plumping serum is hands down my favorite — I can’t go a day without it especially in the wintertime.

Reply

Ahhh oh that makes me happy! They tested my skin and told me it was crazy dry so I’m excited for this to help! I didn’t know about their hair products! Thanks Gretchen and have a beautiful day!

Reply

Yes, agreed. Their stuff is great.
Also? I loveSkye’s daily snarl. She needs her own Instagram to document the trouble she gets up to/into.

That “two year old” quote is so accurate!
My whole life, I have grown out my hair, and then chopped/donated. I’ve donated over five feet of hair in my lifetime! My hair grows like a weed. Now that I’m almost 40 years old, though, I like to keep it about bra-strap length. I also keep cutting and regrowing bangs. I always seem to forget that I hate having bangs. haha!
My snack of choice lately is Lay’s Dill Pickle chips. They are PHENOMENOL. Mind you, though, I’m 8 months pregnant :)

Reply

YOU ARE GETTING SO CLOSE to baby #2! I am so thrilled for you and I hope you are getting all of the Pickle chips today:) Haha isn’t it funny how we keep forgetting things like your bangs situation! I do that too. That is incredible what you have done with your donations. You are a really great person!

The sharing a room question brought back so many memories! I shared a room with my sister who is 5 years older than me. We had a lot of fun times, a LOT of fights, and a lot of craziness. My sister was scared of noises and was constantly waking me up (it was usually the same tree branch against our window.) I will confess that I was horrible to her at times! I had a life size rubber rat that I put in her bed on a regular basis. Although I am the blonde, she was the gullible one!

Reply

Haha LIFE SIZE RUBBER RAT… that is cruel… but part of life with siblings;) It gives us a thick skin, right? I hope you are having a great day, Kathy!

Reply

I love how your hair looked like although you still keep the same hairstyle :)

I’ve never colored my hair, so my hairstyle hasn’t changed much. Except now I have it longer and I curl it more often.

My favorite snack lately is Ritz crackers with pieces of mozzarella cheese that I cut from a block. The flavor combination tastes so good!

Have a greta day Janae:)

Reply

I bet your hair is just the absolute healthiest! Now I need to try your cracker and cheese combo. Thanks Nathaly, you too!

Reply

Shared a room with my sister from 3-12. Loved every single second of it! Not sure she feels the same way. Ha.

Reply

Hahaha that’s what I think might end up happening with Skye and Brooke;) . Tell H & C hello for me!

I use and love Kiehls!!!!! I use their Vitamin C serum and the multicorrection cream (in the little tub that you have above), and I have used them for years—they have been very good to my skin! My dermatologist always compliments my skin!!!! For my crows feet/eyes (ugh!), I just started using Olay Eye Cream that has Retinol in it (it’s in a little purple jar). I really think it has worked as well as super expensive eye creams that I’ve tried!!!!! I think you’ll like the Kiehls!!!!

Reply

Oh this makes me SO happy! So far I’m obsessed with it and I can’t wait to keep using it! Hope your day has been great so far Jen!

Wow, you and your niece are truly twins.

Love the girls’ room!

Reply

Thanks Kathy! We are almost done with it and then I’ll post more pictures:) . I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day.

My sentence of the day is a quote by Mark Twain I read this morning ‘I’ve had a lot of worries in my life, most of which never happened.’ (It was in an article about our thoughts and rumination.)

I like this quote.

Reply

Thank you so much for sharing that quote with me, it’s just what I needed! Hope you are having a beautiful day. Thanks Ingrid!

Reply

I’ve bought a few Kiehl’s products but haven’t tried them yet! I hope you share how they work for you.

Reply

I totally will wahoo! Have a great day Kristie!

Reply

My hair style has been the same every since I grew out my bangs in 8th grade so I can relate. I like having my hair long and just like brushing it and not having much maintenance.

Reply

Omg in your tennis picture you look identical to your neice!!

Reply

Love your Boars Head snack! Meat + cheese = good! => cheese board time

Come summer there is no way Skye will want two dresses. It might happen in spring if she’s running around. Imagine her reaction if one or both tear!! It would be so Cinderella.

So, what were you reading and it was so good it blinded you from making the other dinner???

Reply

Oh! For personal products did you see Beauty Counter? You might want to look.

Reply

You look exactly like your niece in that pick!! (Curly’s older sister:)

LOVE Kiehls!! Years ago I was struggling with acne prone skin, and I made the switch to Kiehls cleanser/toner and moisturizer. My skin has been SO much better ever since. I also use the midnight recovery oil at night and the vitamin C line reducing concentrate around my eyes and fine line prone areas. It’s not cheap but anytime i try something else, I’m just not as happy.

Reply

Ive been wearing my hair in a bun for so long! I think since high school. Oddly this coincides with when I started running!!! It’s just so easy and I cannot have my hair smacking me in the face when I work out.

I shared a room with my twin (Bunk beds!!!!!) until my older brother went away to college and the one of us took over his room. By that time it was the best freedom, but we had so much fun sharing because we were besties. I remember a lot of late night antics, giggling and not sleeping when we were supposed to be (yes, you can take that as a warning!).
