6.3 miles @ 8:21 with a few short strides at the end with Emilee for my Wednesday run… normally we do a hill day on the trails after our speed workouts but we want to freshen up our legs for Saturday instead.
We decided it was time for Skye to get her first pair or running shoes. The joy she had when she first put them on was contagious for everyone in the store.
She gets her chicken arms while running from me… my coach told me last Saturday that I really need to work on keeping my arms closer to my body because I waste a lot of energy!
They found a snake.
It’s going to be a sad day for me when they are no longer obsessed with stuffed animals and taking them on their adventures with them.
Picked up snow cones on the way home. They came with the color changing spoons so that was the highlight of their day:
Lunch together for the first time in a while… quinoa salads followed by Costco blueberry muffins.
Brooke and Knox had their friends over for the rest of the day in the backyard.
Skye hung out with me.
Mango and chicken fajitas from here for dinner… did the prep while Skye napped.
And finished it up right before we ate.
Our cherries are starting to show up…
Made the peanut butter cups from Run Fast. Cook Fast. Eat Slow. and they are UNREAL… we will be making these often (I used a normal cupcake tin… not the mini ones).
So much recovery + water drinking going on over here… 2 more days until race day.
I need a new book to read… I just finished a book that I didn’t love at all so now I need something really good:). Help me out!
