Recently…  My sister and I did an early morning workout which we haven’t done together in years.  I love early morning workouts and she does not but that is probably because she has teenagers keeping her up late at night along with toddlers running her around all day ha.

Recently… I was fooled by Burn Bootcamp.  We started doing this workout below and I was so nervous during the first few burpees thinking I had another 40 minutes straight of burpees but after a minute they told us it was an April Fools’ joke.  We ended up doing a different workout that was probably just as hard but it did not include 4 million burpees.  I am too trusting and people get me every year on April 1st.

IMG 0459

Recently… I put wipes in my car and in my bathroom to use the second I finish a workout.  I always wash my face after a workout but sometimes it’s not for 30 minutes because of the kids so these make it easy to use the second I finish a workout.

IMG 0453

Recently… Skye was beyond happy to have her sister back and ready to play with her.

IMG 0468

Recently…. Brooke grew six inches over the weekend.   Before we know it she is going to pass me up.  We walked with Skye at the track while Andrew got his run on there.

IMG 0484

Recently… I started this book from the library and I am loving it.

IMG 0375

Recently… I laughed and related so much to the meme that Megan posted… she posts the best stuff on her IG, you need to follow her.

IMG 0299

Recently… We played frisbee for at least an hour.

IMG 0493

Recently… I loved the idea of JOMO and will be doing it myself often.  Brene just speaks to my soul.

IMG 0344

Recently (currently….) I cannot stop thinking about Boston and how excited I am to be there.  We get in on Friday and leave on Monday evening so send all of the recommendations of things we need to see and eat.  This will be Andrew’s first time to Boston.  Candice will also be there wahoo!

IMG 9264

Recently… I was very excited to see my qualifying time for Boston printed out on my Boston mail!

IMG 0511

Recently… I got so excited for my brother’s (the one that just ran his first marathon) new treadmill set-up.  He lives in Arizona and during the summer months he will be on the treadmill more often because of the heat.  Let me know if you would like him to write a review of the one he bought after he gets a bunch of runs in on it!

IMG 2590

Recently… I ate burrito bowls for dinner after Eleanor talked about them in the comments yesterday.  I couldn’t stop thinking about them after I read her comment.

IMG 0502

Recently…  We put out some rocking chairs (from Target) on the porch and I have a feeling we will be spending a lot of time on those.

IMG 0207

Recently… Brooke spent some of her Jelly Bean money (you can read about the jelly bean store HERE that we use with our kids for rewards… we started this store in December and it has been such a motivator for them) to get peeps at the store.  She probably chose Peeps because she knows they are one of the three types of candy that I will not take Mommy Tax from.

Any recommendations on things for us to see or eat in Boston?

For those of you that can meet-up… Would you rather meet-up at the expo or meet for some food/treat/breakfast (send ideas if you can think of some good places near the expo)?  We are thinking mid-morning on either Saturday or Sunday!

Peeps—>  Delicious or NO WAY!?

Were you fooled by anyone yesterday?  Play any tricks on other people?

So funny…I just read that book this weekend! I chose it for our book club next month and I finished it in a day! (Took advantage of being sick.) It was great! Hope you have a great day

Reply

NO WAY!!! I am seriously loving it too. I hope you are feeling 100% again. Thanks Jessica, you too!

Love that you’re doing Boston with a sponsor bib! So no one “lost” their Boston or missed out, but you still earned that spot. Nice!
And yes, the Indy marathon posted that they had sold out — April Fool! I want to do that race. It’s in November, on a Saturday so I don’t miss work, and great crowd.

Reply

Hahaha the Indy Marathon got you… I’m glad it isn’t sold out so that you can go do it. I hope you have a beautiful day!

Hi Janae! I live in Boston and have lots of recs :) What neighborhood will you be in? For casual places I highly recommend flour and tatte. Amazing salads and baked goods. Would you consider doing a meetup??

Reply

HEY SUZANNE!! We are going to be staying right next to Boston Common! Anything near that that would be a good meetup spot (<-- I am so looking forward to meeting you)!!

Reply

Hey janae! I’m in the market for some new Brooks, and I’m wondering what you’re wearing and loving these days for every day runs. Thanks !

I use face wipes right after working out too. I have super hormonal skin and being pregnant plus sweat equals major breakouts for me. I finally found products that help me so much with my adult acne. I use BeautyCounter and love it. It works great and I feel so much better knowing its a safer product line. I even use their makeup. Having small children and being pregnant I am super aware of what I put in and on my body. I use some of their baby products too because my daughter has sensitive skin. Side note: I don’t sell BeautyCounter, I just love it. I just wanted to share. If you have a friend who sells it, reach out and see if you can get some samples of the line designed just for acne prone skin and the amazing face wipes.

Reply

Face wipes are a must have in my gym bag! I drive my daughter nutty (well, she’s 12 so I drive her nutty in lots of ways) because I insist we wash our hands and faces before we leave the gym. But gyms are super germy places and sweat can make you break out.

Reply

Hahaha hopefully soon she’ll see what a good example you are! I wish I would have started using face wipes right after a workout forever ago! I really think these are going to help my skin!

Reply

Megan, that sounds awesome… I bought some things and if they don’t work then I’ll definitely check out BeautyCounter. Thanks so much and I totally understand that hormonal skin! Have a beautiful day!

Reply

Boy do I wish I could meet up with you in Boston!!!!! HOPEFULLY my time from Richmond will get me in for NEXT year, so you will have to come back :) (Cross your fingers and toes for me! :) I have no recommendations b/c I’ve never been there, but I hope you will have the BEST experience and that the weather will be perfect. I have a friend running who ran in 2014, suffered through a lot of injuries/tough times, but is back running again this year. I am super excited for him.

Peeps–when I was a kid, YES! Grown up–only if stale Now (still a grown up ha ha)–I don’t like them any more!!!! It’s kind of sad. My kids actually don’t like them either!

Have a great day, Janae, and eat some Jolly Rancher or Tootsie Roll Easter eggs instead of Peeps. ha ha

Reply

YES YES YES… You are going to get that BQ! YOU CAN AND YOU WILL DO THIS! I am so excited your friend is back this year. I haven’t tried the Jolly Rancher eggs?!? Do I need to?! Thanks so much and I hope you have a great day too!

Hi Janae! I also live in Boston and can give recommendations.
Depending on where you are staying, I second Suzanne’s suggestion to eat at Flour and/or Tatte for casual lunch/breakfast.
Stephanie’s on Newbury St is a great brunch option, but could be crowded on Sunday. Maybe get there when it opens?
And I highly recommend Uni, which is right around the corner from the Expo, for some amazing asian/sushi. You can book on Open table. Eatily, which is in the Prudential center, also near the marathon expo, is also amazing. It’s basically an indoor italian market with many options to eat/drink from casual to more fancy.
I’m so bummed I’ll miss you when you are there (I’ve always wanted to meet you, but we will be away for school break), but hope you have an amazing time and good weather! Boston can be iffy this time of year! For instance, on Saturday it was 60 degrees. This morning it was a balmy 25 degrees!
Also, if you are taking the kiddos, there is an amazing playground that is right along the charles river. It’s near the Hatch Shell. It’s a pretty easy walk from back bay.
Take care! Mary

Reply

THANK YOU MARY!! We are staying right next to Boston Commons. All of those restaurants sound incredible… writing them down. I will absolutely be hanging out in Eatily:) . I’m so so sad I won’t get the chance to meet you but I hope you and your family have a wonderful time. I need to pack my entire running wardrobe haha. Thank you Mary, I can’t wait to explore your city!

Reply

My must go every time we are in Boston place is JP Licks for ice cream.

Reply

I second JP Licks!! The best ice cream and fro yo!

Reply

This speaks to my heart… we will be going to JP Licks! Thanks Jennifer and Beks!

Reply

Uuggg… No way on Peeps! I think my boys have even outgrown their like for them.
But, we all love all the jellybeans! Oh, and I finally tried a Tootsie roll egg. Soooo good!!!
Have a great Tuesday ?

Reply

AREN’T THEY INCREDIBLE!?!? We are all hooked on them. Have a great day Wendy!

Reply

Hi Janae! I will be in Boston mid day Saturday- Tuesday and would love to meet up! Either the expo or another spot is great with me.

I love Trident Cafe on Newbury Street for breakfast/lunch, so so good!! I will be carb loading with my boyfriend (he is running, I am just eating) at Posto Pizza in Somerville area which is also amazing!!!

Get cannoli’s at Mike’s Pastry in the North End after the race along with a good Italian dinner. It is really the best!

Reply

Maria’s (46 Cross Street) has better cannoli’s than Mike’s!!

Reply

I CAN’T WAIT TO MEET YOU KELSEY and I hope you can come too Katrina! THANKS FOR THE recommendations! Writing these all down! Have a great day girls!

Reply

I second Mike’s Pastry – best cannoli I’ve ever had and I make it a point to go there every time I’m in Boston!

Reply

Hi Janae!
So excited you are running Boston! I am just an hour west of Boston and it is my goal to qualify soon! Just 3 minutes to shave off my time! And congrats on your 50 miler! I shared that post with my family and we were all in AWE! Absolutely amazing! I was curious where you got the striped tank you are wearing in the picture of you & Brooke at the track??? I love a high neck tank!
I hope you ENJOY Boston and I have my fingers crossed that the weather will be perfect!

Reply

AHHHH you are so close Jamie, you can and you will do this! Thank you so much, you are the nicest. Here is the tank, I’m obsessed with it (I got it in pink too):

Thank you so much!

No way on Peeps, but my mom and daughter love them. I guess it skips a generation! Give me my Reese’s peanut butter egg any day, lol

Yesterday I was almost fooled when we got to daycare and the lights were off with a sign saying they were closed, but I realized it was a joke before I finished reading it! LOL

Congrats on running Boston! I re-read your Boston recap and I hope you get much better weather this year!

Reply

Hahah I’m with you on any of the chocolate Easter treats instead too:) . Oh my… your daycare would have definitely tricked me! Thank you so much! Crossing all of my fingers! Have a beautiful day April.

Reply

I am so hype about you running Boston again. It is a dream of mine to run one day. I am a super slow runner so it will never happen for me, so I am living thru you. I cant wait to hear all about your experience.

Reply

Thank you so much Angela! Keep on doing an amazing job with your running and have a wonderful day!

Reply

Flour Bakery for everything! And Blackbird Donuts for the best cake donuts :)

Reply

I love Kane’s Donuts on Oliver Street!!

Reply

Yes! I love Kane’s donuts so much!!!

Reply

I will take it upon myself to try Kane’s, Blackbird and Flour:) . Thanks so much Danielle, Katrina and Natalie! I am so excited for the food. Have a wonderful day!

The Duck Boat tour is a great way to see and learn the history of Boston, and fun even if you don’t have the kids with you. The Freedom Trail is great too. Of course you will have to hit up Fenway Park straight away, there should be a few games. There is a fun bar there too Bleacher Bar. Fanueil lHall is a must see as well. Restaurants will be nuts of course but I heard that Eataly in the Pru is taking reservations- give it a try, they were not open in 2015 when we both ran and they have a few restaurants.

Reply

Oh we did a Duck Boat tour in Seattle once and it was the best… I would love to do that in Boston too. Checking out the Freedom Trail and we are going to go to a game at Fenway wahoo. I cannot wait, thank you so much for the recommendations… writing them all down. Have a beautiful day!

Reply

I know burpees are good for us but boy, are they the worst! I do a HIT class and it’s always full of them!

Peeps are gross! I saw Birthday Cake flavored ones at the supermarket the other day!

Reply

THEY ARE MY LEAST FAVORITE EXERCISE ON THE PLANET… good job getting them in at HIT because they really are so good for us. Oh I am okay never trying the birthday cake flavored ones haha. Have a wonderful day Samantha!

Reply

You should find the Cookie Monstah truck in Boston. Its a cookie truck and they are so delicious!!! They have 4-5 trucks throughout the Boston area and they post where they are ate on their website.

https://www.thecookiemonstah.com/the-truck/

Reply

Ummm yes yes yes… we must try these. Thank you so much Hannah! Have a great Tuesday!

Reply

Peeps are my favorite!! My daughter was born around Easter, and I’m surprised she didn’t come out covered in pink sugar.

Reply

Bahaha I love this! I need to send you the cool flavors of them that I see around here. Have a wonderful day Claire!

Reply

Hey Janae! So glad you enjoyed the burrito bowls..theyre some of my faves. I ended up making burritos last night;) You can’t go wrong with Mexican, amirite?

Definitely would love to hear your brother’s treddy review. I am thinking of getting one for the same reason–Florida heat = need to do runs inside more often the next 6 months or so.

I’m so so excited for you to go to Boston. Are the kiddos going to get to come with you? Either way so exciting for Andrew’s first time. I have never been!

I’m also excited because this morning both me AND my fiancé got lotto spots into the AJC Peachtree Road Race 10k in Atlanta this year!!! I was so happy we both got a lotto spot. So hopefully that will be my next race after coming back from injury, yipppeee!

Have a great Tuesday and keep enjoying the fabulous weather! Praying for good weather in Boston this year

Reply

They really were so good and now I might need a burrito tonight. I will have him write one! I am SO SO happy for you both… that race is on my bucket list. SO happy for you and I want to hear all about it!

Reply

Yesterday, our alleged gym workout started with a burpee broad jump mile, then 3 other things. I figured it was April fool’s, but the “15m one-arm handstand walk” confirmed it, LOL.
I’m never good at fooling people.
I used to like Peeps, and my mom thinks I still do, so I thank her very much when she gives them to me on Easter each year :)

Reply

Oh goodness hahaha… I probably would have believed them too and walked out to my car and left when I saw the handstand walk. Haha I hope you have someone you can give those yearly Peeps too! Have a beautiful day!

Reply

You need to go to Boston Burger Company and try one of their Freak Frappes! They are over the top milkshakes and I think it’s right up your alley!

Reply

I feel like that will be the perfect post-race meal! THANK YOU!!!

Reply

I loved Eleanor Oliphant – that is one of the books I recommend to EVERYONE!

Reply

IT IS SO SO GOOD!! I can’t wait to crawl into bed with it tonight:) . Have a great day Ann!

Reply

Peeps are a definite no way! I don’t understand how people even like them!!!

Reply

I hear ya… one of my brothers loves them and it confuses me when there are so many other delicious candies to eat:) . Have a wonderful day Laura!

Reply

Definitely Flour – their breakfast sandwich is amazing and all of their baked goods are delicious. Tatte is also very good.
Union Square donuts (my favorite) has a booth in the Boston Public Market near Fanueil Hall.
Toro in the South End for tapas.
Crudo in the North end for sushi (sushi tacos!). North End in general for Italian food.
Lolita in the Back Bay for Mexican food.
Douzo in the Back Bay aslo for sushi.
Sarma in Somerville for Middle Eastern food (small plates).

I live near Boston so hopefully can make your meet up (whatever you decide)! There’s a live podcast Saturday evening (Ali Feller, Carrie Tollefson, Lindsey Hein and Tina Muir) that looks like a lot of fun if you have time for that!

Reply

I am drooling over these recommendations, I cannot wait. Thank you Carol… we are writing them all down. I CANNOT WAIT TO MEET YOU and I’ll be at the live podcast. It’s going to be amazing!

Reply

NO NO NO on the peeps. I’m almost 45 and have always hated them. Luckily, my sister hates chocolate so we always traded peeps and reeses….I definitely got the better end of that deal!

Reply

She hates chocolate?!?! I’m glad you guys could trade ha! Have a beautiful Tuesday Stephani!

Reply

Eleanor is the BEST BOOK EVER! I listened to it and the accent of the reader fit the personality of Eleanor and I LOVED EVERY SECOND. I hope they come out with a follow-up!

Reply

I am seriously loving it so much… I hope they do too! Have a wonderful day Stacey and keep me updated with what you are reading and loving:)

Reply

It’s been too long since I’ve been to Boston (to visit fam) but I remember any and all of the canoli that we found in little Italy was amazing! Also the gelato. I might have to take a trip back there just for the sweets!
My scientist friend just told me about a way to turn peeps into slime … I’m not a fan but my little guy likes them so those are the only 2 reasons I will every buy them!
I lol’d at your comment about Brooke growing 6 inches over the weekend … my 8 year old has officially passed me up in the shoe department! We’re thinking he’ll pass me in weight and height before he’s out of elementary school! Motivation to keep lifting weights?? We’ll see … Lol!
I hate April fools and somehow i was able to dodge all pranks. I think. I’m similar to you in that I’m too trusting and I also like to see the good vs bad in people. I guess gym trainers just can’t be trusted though! That joke is just plain evil!
Have a great day!

Reply

I’m going to try as many sweets as possible when I am there. Oh I will have to look that slime experiment out (that is creepy)! He is growing like crazy!! Hahaha we cannot trust them ever again. Thanks Jenny, you too!

Reply

I’m also running Boston this year. It’s my first and I’m so excited! I ran my first trail 50k last year and LOVED it! I also loved following your training for your 50 miler. Nicely done!

Reply

I AM CHEERING FOR YOU CASSANDRA!! You are going to do amazing. I hope I get to see you there and congrats on your trial 50k. That is awesome!

Reply

So excited to hear your recap after Boston! You’re ready!

I also lol’d when you said Brooke grew so much – my daughter just got back from Spring Break with her dad, too and it’s amazing how just a week apart can make it seem like they’ve grown so much!

Have been following your journey for awhile now and feel as though we’re kindred spirits and root for you and your family always – you’ve got a lot of people in your corner, don’t forget it :)

Am only a little ashamed to admit I have never outgrown my love of Peeps – my daughter and I adore them :)

Reply

OH thank you so much Marissa. Isn’t it crazy when they get back… I’m always like WOW, you are 6 inches taller! Thank you so much Marissa and I’m cheering for you too. I feel our connection just talking about our girls leaving. I hope you are doing well!

Reply

Hi! I highly recommend going for a Chacarero while in Boston. They are NOT open on the weekends,. but during the weekdays, this is a really busy lunch place! When I lived in Boston, they used to be set up just outside the Filene’s Basement department store and the line would wrap around the building, but they have since moved locations. It’s a Chilean sandwich and is unlike anything I’ve ever had before…fresh bread, avocado spread, grilled chicken, cheese, steamed string beans (sounds odd, but it is tasty) and a little bit of hot sauce!! So yummy!

Have an amazing race day and enjoy Boston!

Reply

Writing this down… maybe we can get there on Friday!? Thank you so much Gloria, that sounds like heaven (I WANT ONE RIGHT NOW). Thank you so much and i hope you are having a great day!

Reply

I LOVE PEEPS!! That is all.
I played and epic trick on my 4th grade class. We have state testing this week and I told them they need to be at school an hour early and stay until 5:30 in the evening because the writing test required a minimum of 10 pages typed and single spaced. I was very official about it and told them their parents have already been notified blah, blah, blah.. They fell for it hook, line and sinker. It was awesome! The look on their faces when I said April Fools was epic!

Reply

Hahahah this is awesome! YOU GOT THEM GOOD! Way to go Lisa:) . Have a great day and I hope they don’t come up with a plan to get you back;)

Reply

You’ve got to check out Boston Public Market! It has lots of local vendors and little shops so that everyone can find something they like (think high-end food court)! I recommend Bon Me for amazing noodle bowls or Mother Juice for the BEST salads ever. And the main reason I recommend it is for the best donuts I have ever tasted – Union Square Donuts!

So excited for you to experience Boston and would love to do a meet up anywhere in the city!

Reply

We will totally go there… I cannot wait and that noodle bowl is calling my name. Thank you so much and I cannot wait for those donuts. Have a beautiful day and I cannot wait to meet you!

Reply

I loved the laundry meme haha. I used to leave my laundry drying on racks for days but it makes my partner crazy so…no more:)

Mikes pastry in Harvard Square has the best cannolis. I haven’t done this but friends of mine took in a baseball game and loved it. Also we did a Duck Tour – basically a boat tour of the city and that was super cool. It would be fun for the kids especially if the whole family is going.

Have a great day Jane!

Reply

Hahaha teach me how to get it all put away faster. THANK YOU and I want to do the Duck Tour too. Thanks Kristine, you too!

Reply

Boston is going to be awesome! Ha, what a funny trick your boot camp played on you!

I will be in Boston that Monday night. It’ll be my first time traveling there and I’m beyond excited!

I like about 1 peep per year and I prefer it to be roasted over a fire. Seriously, it’s delicious. The sugar caramelizes.

Reply

Lobster Rolls!
*Neptune Oyster
*James Hook

Reply

Peeps are ok… I prefer them if they have been out on the counter for a few days… much better stale. However, I am a HUGE fan of them when we roast them over the fire! They are just a sugar coated marshmallow. The only thing is that the sugar melts and becomes lava so they need to cool a little longer than a standard marshmallow.

Reply

Hello! I am so excited for you to go to Boston ! (A little jealous too…) You should go to Flour Bakery when you are there. Flour has several locations around the city. One close to the new packet pickup and another close to the finish line. I am slightly obsessed with it. Last year I went there for lunch the day before the marathon and immediately after I finished the race. I think it will be right up your alley.

Reply

I’ve been using makeup face wipes before my workout (if I’m wearing makeup) and after (always) because I work out at the gym at work and my commute home varies from 20-30 min. I have to say, I haven’t had a single blemish (knock on wood) since I started. Once I get home I still do a thorough face cleaning in my shower too. Totes the fast/easy way to go.

Reply

Boston! I’m so excited for you Janae! I’ve run it 4 times (I was there in 2015 also…eeeek!). It holds such a special place in my heart because it is just such an amazing crowd…no…I should say CITY supported race!
Have the best time!

Reply

I am so excited for you to be in Boston!!! I live in NH, so I do not have any official recommendations, but will totally be making the trip with my husband if you coordinate a meet-up!! :)

Reply

When you’re in Boston grab breakfast/lunch at Tatte and save room for a halva brownie! And try to make a pit stop at blackbird donuts (or union square – they’re both really good). For dinner there are so so many great restaurants in every neighborhood!

Reply

I’m so excited for you running Boston–and full of admiration that you’re doing it so soon after your 50 miler! My coach for the London Marathon is in the Boston too–Dawn Grunnagle. She’ll be with the elite runners too. Best wishes and tailwinds all the way. (I used to live in Boston and the race went right by my windows on Commonwealth Ave near Mass Ave!)

Reply

Hi Janae! I’m using your post to scout out good Boston spots too because I am moving there for medical residency in less than two months! I was just up there to visit this weekend but have been a few times in the past year. I 100% second the Tatte and Flour recommendations (definitely must-go places). I also just ate at Buttermilk & Bourbon for brunch and they have these AMAZING biscuits that I wish I could eat daily haha (definitely need a reservation for here though). Good luck at the marathon! I hope to run it one year while I’m there <3

Reply

If you are in Boston, you can NOT miss Mike’s Pastry. I love walking through the Commons and the public garden is my absolute favorite place to be when I am in the city (it is at the top of my list). They have swan boats in the garden, opening April 13th, perfect for kids. Maybe there will be a sports home game for either the Celtics, Bruins, or Red Sox (also a must, we Bostonians LOVE our sports)! Enjoy :)

Reply

I’m reading Elinor Oliphant to and love it! I just visited Boston a month ago – one of my favorite places. I love Quincy Market! We also took the train to Salem and spent about 4-5 hours there. It’s my favorite New England town!

Lots of good recommendations already! I lived in the North End for 3 years and now Beacon Hill, both awesome “neighborhood feels”for living in the city good for walking around. If the weather is nice, taking the water taxi from the airport is always fun. Mike’s is good for cannolis but the real hidden gem is on Prince / Salem Street called Bova’s Bakery. Amazing calzones and coconut cake.

Not food related but unfortunately the Common smells more and more like weed these days so heads up… wander over to the Public Garden if it gets bad/you need an escape :)

Best of luck! Have fun!

Reply

So many great places to eat! My family from Utah always has seafood when they come to Boston. On Marathon weekend Legal Seafoods is probably the best place, there are a few of them around town. Also, Cafe Nero for coffee, etc. Sweetgreen for a salad on the go. Anywhere in the North End is amazing, but will be hard to get into that weekend. Staying near the Common, you can walk to all of those places pretty easily.

Reply

Going to be running Boston too! And judging by your qualifying time, I may run into you in the corral! My qualifying time is within 30 seconds of yours. However I am DEFINITELY not in shape to break sub 3 again. Grrr.

I am going with my running club. We are also doing the Duck Tours and catching a Red Sox game. Going to be fun for sure. I’m also staying with family out there so it’s going to be a longer trip for me.

Have a great evening!!

Reply

From right outside of Boston here. You can’t go wrong with any of these recommendations! I have 2 girls, one the same age as Skye. We will be cheering you on at the marathon for sure!! So fun!

Reply

Hi! I live south of Boston – going in Saturday for the BAA 5k! Might go in for the race Monday too. Have you done a duck tour? Those are fun. Check out Mikes Pastries in the North End.

Reply

You must go to the Friendly Toast for breakfast in Boston. It’s freaking amazing. Get the anadama toast!

Reply

flour bakery, blackbird doughnuts, Area4 in cambridge for pizza and/or brunch, Pavement for bagels. My MIT friends are the ones behind Spyce a robotic kitchen with amazing bowls made by robots in downtown boston!

I’ll be there Monday-Friday as a spectator, tell Andrew if he is going for ICU new grad (as I remember him considering) I can try to make a meet up to talk to him about it!

Reply

What about a 2-3 mile shake out run Sunday morning? I would love to have some friends to run with!

Reply

Oh that is a great idea!!!!!

Reply

I can’t believe you’ll be running Boston so soon after your ultra. You are amazing!!! I have to work Marathon Monday but my office is only a 5 minute walk from the finish line. I’d love to meet and say hello and maybe take some family photos in the Public Garden if you’re up for it after the race. Good luck!

Reply

I am so excited for you and Boston!! I can’t wait to follow your adventures!!
