How did my race go?

HELLO!!! This is reminding me of the good ol’ days of blogging twice a day (does anybody remember when I used to blog three times a day)?!

I’ll have a full race recap up for you tomorrow but I thought I’d share how today went real quick:

THE COURSE WAS SHORT!!!!!!!!

I know.  I was pretty bummed about that so I’ll talk more about that tomorrow but for now, here’s what my time was for 2.86 miles:)

But I did set a new personal record for my 4.6k;)  It’s been a long time since I have set a PR and this was my first 4.6k so that’s fun ha.

I really wish I would have just kept running after the finish line but there were so many people all standing in the finishing area so I just stopped and didn’t really have time to think about it.  Next time.

Way to go speedy!!! That is my dream to run a short 5k!!!!! Clearly the most difficult race distance, in my opinion…

I did the Rock N Roll Dallas 5k and Half Marathon 2 years ago. The 5k course was short too, my friends and I all PR’D ;-).

And an automatic PR in this new distance!! I too, have done a 5K only to learn in wasn’t actually a 5K at the end…but oh well! Race days are always super fun ?

Wow! Just wow! BTY, the first 5km I did post-baby (almost 9 years ago lol) was a 4.3km! I thought giving birth had given me super powers but turned out the course was short haha your time is amazing though! You should be super proud!

Ugh that’s SO annoying! What’s worse though, short or long?! I honestly don’t know. Both.
Great job anyway! ?

so did you tell your coach you are still waiting to run that last mile?

I’ve run a couple of 5ks that have been 2.8-2.9 miles and it can be so frustrating. I also think having an exactlly 3-mile race is frustrating because people say “it’s only .1” but that .1 makes a whole lot of difference in time (like 30 seconds). Glad to see you out and racing again Janae!
