HELLO… I’ve got some things to share today!
Their morning planning meeting:
Andrew went on an early long run in shorts and came back and said, ‘maybe this is why people wear running tights” (his legs were bright red) ha.. and then he continued to wear shorts for the rest of the day.
I did a 2 mile walk and then took advantage of Brooke and Knox being at school…
I watched two of my all-time favorite Friends episodes—> the episode with Phoebe’s crazy running (I think I’m going to try her running form one time at a race;) and the one where Ross & Monica show off their dancing routine at the New Year’s Eve party/show (I almost woke up Skye from laughing so hard)!
My lunch was so good and so easy—> leftover salmon/roasted broccoli from the night before, my favorite salad mix and a sweet potato.
My lunch dates yesterday (Knox left after lunch)!
Her reading game is strong!
Another 40something degree day so we took it outside to move!
We had a staring contest and she won.
Brussels sprouts cooked in honey, balsamic vinegar and olive oil!
And Brooke requested spaghetti with meatballs (or ground turkey) for dinner!

The other night we realized the kids found a way to talk once they go to their rooms for bedtime at night… THROUGH THE VENTS… Andrew and I laughed pretty hard when we found them doing this.

Those are two awesome episodes. I love Friends. I just finished it again. One of my favorites is the one with the wedding dresses. But in general I like the second half of seasons better than the earlier ones.
I have wild and crazy laundry doing plans for tonight ;) And then sleeping in tomorrow. Getting up today was tough.

I just started watching Friends again because we no longer have DVR on the TV with my treadmill. (And I can’t handle higher technology than TV when I run!) Friends seems to always be on when I am running. I saw Monica’s baby shower recently – it was hilarious! Please start posting your treadmill screen again! I would love more details on your post-pregnancy walking regimen. Thanks!

Friday is my rest day ahead of my long run tomorrow (13 miles). I know this will sound like blasphemy to many but I like Friends, I don’t LOVE it. As such, I have no favorite episodes. I tolerate them and will watch them if there is nothing else on TV and its certainly entertaining but thats about it. Sorry.

Love the Friends episode with Phoebe’s crazy running!! When my sister and I were little we have a big vent in our room that opened up to the living room and we would watch tv when our parents thought we were sleeping!! Now as a parent I’m pretty sure my mom and dad knew we were watching tv lol!!

My absolute favorite episode is the one where they do the game show in the apartment! No matter how many times I’ve seen it I laugh so hard! And I always cry when I watch the last one. It is a great show!

Those are some of my favorite Friends episodes! Sometimes I wonder how that show got filmed without the actors and actresses all laughing. If you’re ever looking for a cook appetizer, wrap bacon around brussel sprouts and brush maple syrup on them and bake in the oven. So good!
My sentence for the week is stay warm! Between a foot of snow yesterday and below zero wind chills until tomorrow night, I don’t want to be outside unless absolutely necessary.

I never really got into friends believe it or not. My brother is in town and we are just relaxing today because it’s so cold. I hope we get to do something or at least the house.

I literally JUST watched the “Phoebe crazy running” episode of Friends this past week – Hilarious!! Absolutely love Friends – too many fave episodes to count. But the episode where “Chandler Can’t Cry” is def. in my top five. I laugh (out loud) every time! Have a great day!

I’m going to hit the treadmill at the gym for a 5-miler this afternoon. Boston is a mess weather-wise right now so I’ve been watching a lot of HGTV on the treadmill at the gym.
My favorite friends episode is probably when Phoebe’s music blows up because she has a cold and her voice is all raspy:)

Re: Brussels sprouts- My favorite way to cook them is similar: halved, tossed with olive oil and sprinkle of salt; roast until brown and a bit crispy; then drizzle a mix of equal parts honey and balsamic over it. Keeps them crispy and tart and sweet! I could eat them every day…

I have heard and just read some of the comments that some people don’t like Friends which is just so confusing to me :) I LOVE it. I have been going home at lunch to walk on my treadmill instead of my normal walk outside since it has been so cold. TBS does a marathon of Friends starting at around noon here so I know I could watch on streaming with no commercials but when a commercial comes on, I’ll mute the tv and read my book. Quite the system going on over here :) Hmm – one of my favorite episodes is probably when Chandler proposes to Monica and the room is all candlelit.
Random but that affirmation sounds like it could be written by your Mom (from what little I’ve learned about her from your blog and never having met her!)

My rest day is always Sunday! And in the past year I’ve also taken Saturday as a rest day too. It’s nice to have weekends off. I had salmon and sweet potato for dinner last night too (with cauliflower and quinoa)! Glad you’re enjoying the relatively warm weather! ?

Friday is always my rest day unless I have the day off and rested on Thursday. I have two good workouts for Saturday and Sunday.
My favorite Friends episode is where Ross buys a new couch and won’t pay for delivery “PIVOT! PIVOT!” I’m cracking up just thinking about it. Close 2nd & 3rd is Ross and the leather pants or Ross and the tanning booth. Seems like Ross has the funniest story lines.

Friday night plans for me will be going to a physical therapy appointment after work. I messed up my already messed up shoulder on Christmas Eve and I want to get back to strength training so PT for me for awhile. Not convenient when everyone at home needs mom but I tell myself I was long overdue to get this shoulder fixed and since it is winter and dark so early it is the perfect time of year to be away in the evening. Then my husband is meeting me for dinner since Monday is my birthday and we are booked for the weekend.

It’s 9 degrees out today and yesterday was supposed to be my rest day but we got 10 inches of snow. 2 hours of shoveling means today is yoga and/or Pilates to stretch out those achy muscles.

I need to know more about your eye lashes! I’m obsessed. How often do you get them done? Is it super expensive? I’m in Denver so I have no idea what to even look for! Yours look so natural and not like you’re a dancer of the night ;) I’m also pregnant so can I do it while pregnant or should I wait?
Also Skye is amazing and I love her bows and ive been taking notes for my little girl on the way. I have a boy now and he wasn’t as fun to dress :) bring on the tutus!

My favorite Friends episode is probably the one where Chandler is in the box to make things up to Joey. It was my Netflix show a few months ago; now I’m wondering if I should watch it again. My husband can’t stand Friends, which blows my mind. I guess it’s the same way I feel about Seinfeld.

Well, I ran yesterday in cold/wind/slush, and it was miserable. It’s been so cold in the east here that I’m starting to dread running, my body hurts, and I’m not a TM runner. Today we have 20-30 mph winds and negative wind chill. SO, I’m listening to my goals for the near year and listening to my body and cross training today and tomorrow. I’ll get back to running Sunday! Missing a couple of runs in miserable weather won’t hurt me in the end! Boom! ha ha I’m proud of myself for finally realizing that!

We are dealing with record low temps and frozen pipes at my house!! We are on day 2 of no school and somehow I ended up with 2 extra kids at my house!! Luckily I was off from work any way today.

Favorite Friends episode, the one at Monica and Chandler’s wedding where Rachel takes the pregnancy test in the bathroom and Phoebe fibs and says it’s negative. Rachel says ‘how could I be upset over something I never had?’ Then Phoebe tells her she lied and she really was pregnant. I cry every single time. Nice my eyes are welling up just typing it!

I cant choose one Friends episode, I love them all! The one where they play football and Rachel stinks and Ross and Monica fight over the Gellar cup; the one with the cheesecakes and they eat it off the floor; the one with Brad Pitt where there is the “I hate Rachel Green faclub”; the flashbacks to college them where Monica is trying to be sexy with carrots and drops the knife on Chanler’s toe…….they are all so funny!

My favorite episodes of Friends are when everyone finds out Monica and Chandler are dating, I die every time they are trying to get the others to admit they know, also the episode where Ross laminates a list of women he can hook up with without any repercussions and tries to hit on Isabella Rossiline at the end of the episode. But honestly, so many are favorites it is hard to pick just one. Also the game show to win the apartment is awesome.
My brothers and I always used to talk between the vents, it felt so sneaky but I’m sure my parents could hear us too :)

Just finished work and I’m off to a yoga class which after a rough day at work I’m really looking forward to it. I don’t think I could ever pick 1 episode that’s my favourite but Phoebe’s running one and the one where Joey learns French (because I’m half french I find it SO funny!) are my top two! My Friday night plans consist of a 7 mile easy run while watching Riverdale, and then studying for my Global Business class. I am currently training for the Little Rock Marathons in hopes of a sub-4. I have recently been using the Hanson’s Running program, and I am really enjoying it. I can definitely tell a difference in my running.
As I am living the single life, I always think back to the Friends episode where Monica tells Richard she is “being breezy” on his answering machine…..I use that line all the time when talking to my friends about dates. Cracks us all up!

This is really random and has nothing to do with your post, but we share a love of broccoli (and running and candy :) so I thought I’d let you in on my new fave way to prepare broccoli. Usually I just toss fresh broccoli in olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper and garlic powder and then roast it. BUT this week I got a little crazy and made homemade pesto and then tossed it on the broccoli before roasting. Life changer! SO good!
Oh and yes, LOVE Friends! Too many fave episodes to name here, but one that comes to mind is when Ross asks Rachel to help him move the sofa into his apartment…pivot, pivot, pivot! Haha!

It came about as I was finishing up my blog post for today. Yesterday – while at work – I got to belay!!! One of my coworkers got some amazing pictures that I put in my blog.
And I’m going to try to do a running streak; at least one mile every day on 2018. I’ve never done one before but so far so good. :)
My wild & crazy plans for tonight are: running at least one mile and finally getting the Christmas stuff put away.

My friend and I are cooking dinner together and having game night because I’ve eaten dinner alone a lot the last month and a half, oh the joys of being a grad student. -_- But first I’m going to try and slog a few miles out on the treadmill at the gym. I’m hoping I do at least 3. I really hate the treadmill, I actually don’t think I’ve run more than 3 consecutive miles ever on one. =/
