Hahaha wow. Maybe subconsciously I was wanting today to be Sunday or maybe I’ve lost my brain! I hope you have a great weekend Bridgette!

Reply

Ah glucose test! I assume you mean the orange sugary stuff? I empathize: With Cf I have to do it every year! crossfit class this morning then baseball and fireworks tonight!

Reply

Yes, that is the stuff! EVERY YEAR… Oh Mel, I am so sorry! I hope your class was amazing and enjoy the baseball and fireworks tonight! Thanks girl!

Light easy runs this weekend, no races. 1. We are going to take our daughter to Adventureland. 2. Taking down our pool…it’s that time of year. 3. On the hunt more monarch caterpillars (one for school, one for home). You guys enjoy your weekend.

Reply

I hope your easy runs this weekend are a blast Michele! ENJOY ADVENTURELAND and how are we at this time of year when pool season is over!? Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

New girl is so good! Also the Goldbergs is pretty great:)
3 things: work (Labor Day weekend at a tourist attraction= nutty!), pet sitting, movie night with the hubby………should be a fun one!

Reply

I am so happy to have a new show! I hope things go well at work this weekend and enjoy movie night, the best!

Reply

Ugh glucose test is the WORST! We are visiting family so today we are going to bear world and I might sneak a run in too.

Reply

Have a blast at bear world… Knox would love that! Enjoy your weekend Jenny!

Oh my gosh… I love New Girl SO much! And the glucose check is the worst! Good luck with that! ? My doctor with my third pregnancy didn’t make me do it. Yeah… he was pretty much the best.

Reply

WHAT? That is so awesome! I wish I could skip it! I’m tempted to watch New Girl episodes now haha! Thanks Ashley!

New Girl is one of our favorite shows! Schmidt is our favorite character! Who is yours? I was supposed to do a long run this morning of 8 miles but it was raining. Now that I have waited for the rain to pass, it is 82 feels like 88, so that isn’t ideal either. Hard to know when to do it today. Maybe the evening will be a better time.

Reply

Aimee! I am not sure who is my favorite character yet… I need to give it a few more episodes to decide on that (because it is such a big decisions hahaha)! I hope that you are able to get out tonight for your 8 miles and that it isn’t so hot! Let me know how it goes!

How cute are Knox and Brooke together? Yesterday you mentioned that Knox was sad about getting to see Michael Jackson perform, I feel the same way about Freddie Mercury. :)

10 miler, supporting a local animal adoption event (not adopting, just yet, Missy in old age is challenging at the moment. I couldn’t deal with integrating and training a new addition right now) and laundry, that never ending chore.

Reply

Nina! I’ll let Knox know he isn’t alone in feeling sad about missing out on seeing someone perform:) Way to go on the 10 miles and I hope the event went really well! Yep, I did laundry today too… along with every other day this week haha. It truly never ends. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Good luck with the glucose test! yuck!

Three things: 8 miles today for the virtual #runfortexas, sending gift cards to my sister and our friends in the Houston area (I’m in VA) and snuggling and movie time with my family since it is rainy and cool here today!

Have a great weekend!

Reply

Sounds like a perfect day Leanne. I hope your sister and friends in Houston are okay! Thank you!

I ran ten miles this morning, which is a LONG run for me. I’m training for a half marathon (my second) in October.

Three things I’m doing today: (1) Volunteering at humane society, (2) Making calzones for supper (requested by my youngest daughter who will be home from college for the weekend), (3) Making butterscotch pie for my mom’s birthday.

Have a great weekend!

Reply

MARTI… ten miles IS LONG. Way to go and I am so excited for your second half marathon, please keep me updated on how it is all going! Calzones sound so good and so does that butterscotch pie! Thanks girl:)

Long run of 14 miles today. I am doing Hal Higdon’s “Senior Marathon Training Schedule” (I am 44, but qualify as he says anyone that has done multiple marathons and can easily run 10 miles without a problem can do it), which o it has you run 3 days a weeks and the training program is only 8 weeks long! 12 last week and was a little sore then 14 today and was wiped.

I set my alarm for 4:30 and ran on the treadmill until dawn (7.8 miles, a new record for me), then did 6.2 outside. My legs felt like jello twice: once when I started running on the street after The Mill, and then after 3.1 miles of running up the mountain I turned around and ran down – jello.

Afterwards I made pancakes with raspberries and whipped cream for my hubby, son, and myself (thought you would be proud)!

Then an evening homecooked meal of grilled salmon, pico de gallo, and baked French “fries”. Yay for Labor Day weekend!

Reply

TONYA… way to go on your long run today! My legs feel like jello just thinking about your run up the mountain! I am VERY proud of your breakfast, next time I’ll come over too! Enjoy your dinner tonight, sounds amazing!

So season 3 gets not so funny and then season 4 is hilarious, but I stopped watching it at season 5. Basically Nick and Schmidt need their own show. They are my favorite. Although winston will grow on you. He isn’t so funny at first and then his randomness wins me over. Happy watching.

Reply

Thank you for the heads up… I wish we could just watch all of the shows together. Your commentary is my favorite.

Reply

Up @ 4 to run hills with some of my xc boys, my bro is in from out of town so I get to hang with him and his family, and a surprise 40th for a girlfriend!

Reply

UP AT FOUR… holy cow! Great job on the hills today! I hope you get in a nap today:) Enjoy the time with your brother and his family Marissa!

Halloween/ Christmas?! Where has this year gone?

Reply

I don’t know but I’m hoping Christmas time gets here really quick haha;)

Reply

Yay New Girl! Have you checked out Parks and Rec? OBSESSED. Ok my three things:
1) ran 10 miles with my border collie
2) made the most delicious chia seed pudding, oh my gosh!
3) my husband’s family is coming over for dinner!
Happy Saturday!

Reply

Okay, Parks and Recs is HILARIOUS!
WAY to go on your 10 miles and I love that your pup joined you! Send me some of that chia seed pudding and enjoy dinner tonight with family! Thanks Mandy!

My boyfriend got me started on New Girl a few months ago, we are on season 3. It is adorable.

Reply

We should have discussions about it… I need to catch up to you first:) Enjoy your weekend Ariana!

Reply

I am right there with you counting the days until Stranger Things comes back! My bf and I binged it in one day hahahaha! Then we went for a 6 mile run, I call that balance.

Reply

Love those leggings Janae! Where did you get them?

Reply

Hey Brittany! Thank you! I got them at Old Navy last winter… they are the best! I don’t see them online anymore but they have a bunch of other cute ones right now!

It is 10 year old party day!! Pancake and s’mores party with 4 of her friends, pizza and fruit family party, and now watching the Grinch stole Christmas??!! It is in the 50s and rainy so I guess my girls are thinking of Christmas. Very proud of my big girl. She has been earning money for 6 months by doing chores so that she could have an iPod touch for her birthday. Her Dad and I told her were would cover some. She raised over $200 and then with gifts of $ money from relatives she had more then enough. She cleaned all of our bathrooms, fed our neighbors chickens, weeded, and did many jobs along with her regular chores. She has now asked to keep cleaning all our bathrooms to earn money. Ummm… yes!!!

I’m on season 2 of new Girl. Love it

Reply

new girl is GREAT! also, if you haven’t, watch Brooklyn 99. might take a few episodes to get into it, but it is absolutely hilarious, so witty…but warning: you have to pay attention to get a lot of the jokes. this is tough for me and i literally have to put the computer, phone, whatever away when i watch. but then i’m in hysterics :)
