***SENTENCE PER PICTURE***

My foot felt great when I woke up this morning so I went for a few more miles—>  running completes me.

This song came on and reminded me of that one time I listened to this song on repeat during the Las Vegas Strip at Night 1/2 Marathon… it has a great running beat so I just stuck with it for 97 minutes.

IMG 7633

Blow drying Brooke’s hair with a round brush happens approximately 30 times more often than attempting to do the same thing with my hair.

IMG 7632

My sister bet me that I couldn’t curl my nephew in his carseat, I owe her $5 now.

IMG 7670

Lunch Bunch meeting at Corner Bakery Cafe!

IMG 7665

I had the Southwest Salad (with added chicken) and it was crazy good… and so were Brooke’s pancakes.

IMG 7661

It came with quinoa, black beans, cucumbers, corn and tomato salsa, tortilla strips, avocado ranch dressing and some delicious jalapeños which need to be on more salads in my life.

IMG 7666

How can you walk past their desserts and not try something?

IMG 7657

We shared one of the classics…

IMG 7667

Especially random but I saw these at the gas station and every single time I see them I am reminded of being pregnant because I am pretty sure I had these a few times a week during that time because I craved them so badly.

“It’s always better when we’re together.” -Jack Johnson.

IMG 7681

He doesn’t understand her knock knock jokes but she tells them to him regardless.

IMG 7678

Went shopping for some rugs for our new place (we need one for the family room and Brooke’s room)… would love to know if you know of any good places to look for some or awesome deals online please!

I LOVE Corner Bakery! I usually go for a panini and a cookie, of course.

Sentence for the day: I want to run in the sun and then eat a Steel City Pop.

Reply

Inside run today. It’s been alot of inside runs lately!

My husband loves those donuts! They remind him of his dad!

All the treats at Corner Bakery look so good! I really don’t think you can go wrong, regardless of what you pick!

Ugh! I’m sick and my coach says no running! :( I’m glad your foot was feeling better! Yay!

I’ve never been to Corner Bakery, but…that salad looks so good. Hmm…

Reply

The corner bakery looks like my kind of place. I love small bakery/cafe style restaurants like that.

I’m glad to hear your foot feels good. Getting back into running after a break (or anything you love) is such a great feeling.

Reply

I love jalapenos on salads – and on all kinds of other foods too! The only thing I did outside today was shoveling – again! That dessert case looks very tempting.

Reply

I bought a pink rug for my daughter’s room at Target. I like shopping at hobby lobby, target, and home goods.

Reply

Overstock or Wayfair has good deals on rugs. Home goods is also a great option, although not online.

Reply

I agree, I found good selections and decent prices at Wayfair!

Reply

No run today! I did 11 on Saturday, 6 on Sunday, and 8 yesterday and it’s SO cold so I’m taking the day off! Brooke has it made hanging out and doing fun things with her mom all day especially when she gets her hair did!

Sentences: I’m tired from work so now I’m going to hibernate until it’s time for dinner! I’m big on Antropologie for home decor, but they don’t have as wide of a selection for everything!

Reply

All of our decor is a mix of pottery barn and target! Target has some really nice stuff, and if you buy discounted gift cards you can get good deals at pottery barn! Those jalapeños look amazingggg!

Reply

rugsusa.com! it sounds a little shady but they always have great coupon codes and the ones i’ve gotten from there have been good quality.

Reply

I second this! Love rugsusa. Great value/quality, quick shipping, and so many options! I recommend it to everyone.

Reply

100% agree. RugsUSA is my jam

Reply

I love rugsusa.com too! They have one with a big diamond pattern in the “contemporary” section that I’ve been eyeing for a while.

Reply

RugsUSA!! They have huge sales…I got one of mine for 70 percent off!

Reply

Agree! Rugs USA. Follow on Instagram and wait for a 70% sale!!

Reply

AGREE!! Prices, choices cannot be beat!

Reply

No run. Still nursing this injury.
Ymmmmmmmm donettes.

Reply

I feel for you :( I too have an injury and my doctor told me to give it 4 weeks with PT and but it could take up to 12 weeks! At least she didn’t tell me no more running!

Reply

Target has great deals on rugs, I’ve also used Rugs-direct online and Wayfair. Excited for y’all’s move! Have a great day!

Reply

At Home has a ton of rugs and decor at decent prices. And I’m so happy your foot is feeling better!

Reply

No run. I am sick and working all day :(
I find nice rugs at home goods.
I am getting on the bus heading home from work and already know I’m going to need 5 cough drops at least to keep my hacking to a minimum and not freak out the rest of the riders. :)

RUG DEALS: We got our huge high pile 8×12 rug from the Overstock.com warehouse in SLC for only…. wait for it…. $75!!! They have awesome deals there and you can try to barter the price down a bit even more (that’s what we did, it was $100) so go for it!

Reply

I used to have rugs…then I got a puppy. He is all grown up now, and I still have not replaced the rugs.

No run today. Just a good ole workout video on the schedule. I did run 6 miles last night in the snow and wind here in Maine. Loved it. Felt so alive and the hot aftershower….the best!

Reply

I’ve never been to Corner Bakery but I think I’m missing out and need to remedy that situation. Inside run today. Windchill was zero and that’s too cold for me. I love Home Goods for all things decor, including rugs.

Reply

Never been to corner bakery but it looks yummy! Those donuts are just a little addicting.

Reply

Rugsusa.com has AMAZING DEALS!! I have been searching high and low for decently priced rugs and I couldn’t believe the prices!

Reply

We’re getting Corner Bakery at work tomorrow and I ordered the Southwest Salad + avocado! YUM!

Reply

If you’re getting a dog, I would recommend to hold off on the rug until you’re sure it’s 100% house trained! I’ve definitely lost a rug or two due to my pup not understanding that rugs are for humans, not dog portapotties…

And sadly no run today because I had an early AM appointment, but I’m getting out there tomorrow and trying for my highest mileage since I had a minor injury!! :D

Reply

jalapeños, lobster nachos, & milky ways…sometimes I wonder…. ;)

Reply

Outside run in the dark with snow. Definitely over the freezing winter mornings! Love that salad – yummy :)

Reply

Rugs in my house came from Overstock.com and BedBathandBeyond.com (think 20% off coupon!)

Another great option is remnant shopping from a regular carpet store. They can cut and finish the edges on remnants for a fraction of the price. I did this in my larger rooms and it turned a $2000 rug into a $300 custom remnant. Win!

Reply

I think Wayfair might change your life – free shipping: http://www.wayfair.com

I love your outfits – so cute!

Reply

Homedecorators.com

Reply

sheesh. I’m getting great deals here. Thanks for asking the question!

Reply

Rugs direct and Rugsusa are both good sites.

Reply

I can’t imagine listening to the same song on repeat for an entire half marathon. It must be really good!

Reply

I scored a really good deal on a nice rug at lowes. They have sidewalk sales a lot.

Reply

I think Marshall’s and Home Good have good decor and you can find some great deals. I Like Pottery Barn rugs, they aren’t super cheap but they aren’t crazy expensive either. I got some blackout faux silk curtains on Amazon that I LOVE. They look way more expensive than they were too. Just read the reviews before you buy.

I ran on the treadmill today. 3.1 miles of ladder style speed intervals.

Reply

IKEA has lots of options for rugs, from super cheap and thin to higher quality and more expensive. Also, Target.

Reply

I got outside today for 5 miles. Its been a long time. Wherever you decide to buy rugs, always get a pad for underneath. No matter the cost of the rug, the pad will make it last much longer.

Have fun shopping!

Unrelated to your questions but related to the most important thing: your new dog!!

I got my pup (Abe) at a shelter–specifically looked for a schnauzer mix. He’s a schnauzer border collie and a bit bigger than what you want (35lbs) but he barely sheds and is such a great dog!! If you are looking at shelters for dogs that don’t shed and are small poodle or schnauzer mixes are a good shot. Bichons also don’t shed and are sweet, funny dogs :) it’s true that at shelters there’s no guarantees on either size or shedding, but if you get an older pup (ours was 4 months–already neutered and had all his shots) you can start to predict their growth curve! :)

On the other hand, my family grew up with full bred mini schnauzers–and while I live that I got my own dog at the shelter, schnauzers are amazing dogs (exhibit a of why I went for a schnauzer mix). Anyway. Sorry for the tangent–I was just playing with my best buddy and felt like sharing my love for him :)

Your mom looks radiant! Looks like her health issues are under control? The closest Corner Bakery cafe is 550km away! Maybe it’s worth the detour?! ;-)

Reply

I’ve never been to the Corner Bakery Cafe, but the food looks amazing! I am so going to go. Brooke’s hair look so cute, but yours always does too so whatever you do to it, it looks great! :) My run was inside on the treadmill this morning. I did 4 miles with only a few Braxton Hicks contractions so it felt good. :) I’m at the point in pregnancy where I get contractions and have to pee all of the time so that’s super fun ha. ;)

Reply

I totally by chance ended up seeing Basshunter at an outdoor concert in Romania years ago. It was pretty funny. He sang the same few songs over and over again, but that one is really catchy!

Reply

I second the recommendation for IKEA. Great decor (and fun colors!) at surprisingly affordable prices.
We ran outside today. It was too hot! 86 in Phoenix. :(…I’m not ready for this.

Reply

IKEA or Target for kids rugs.

Reply

Wayfair!

Reply

Yay for running pain free!!!!
I ran 1:30 outside in flurries. It was so much fun! Better than rain and wind!
I had a Lady Gaga song stuck on repeat…IN MY HEAD for the ENTIRE TIME!!!

I’d love to say I shop at Restoration Hardware…but it’s just too expensive!!! They have amazing stuff tho! So does Pootery Barn, but still a bit pricy.
I tend towards Target, Costco, and even Home Depot / Lowes. Do you have a Home Goods or World Market? They can have some good stuff too.
Ikea is great…but getting there and shopping is so draining that I never go!

Your family is so adorable!!!

Reply

Inside run on the treadmill today! While watching Fixer Upper so it wasn’t bad at all :) I love Home Goods and Hobby Lobby for decorations! Oh and Target. Target for everything.

Reply

Inside run sadly. :( Just got hit with more snow on Monday so the sidewalks are a slushy/snowy mess where I am. I’m with Brooke on those pancakes -> they look amazing!

Reply

Outside run in 60 degrees :)

I buy decor at target and pottery barn.
You can find great stuff at tj maxx and home goods. :)

Reply

No run for me today –> rare spring-like weather had me out riding my bike in short sleeves and shorts!

I use Wayfair and Joss & Main for home decor. I also love West Elm and Crate and Barrel.

Reply

Try rugsusa.com for some great deals. I’ve ordered from them twice and gotten amazing deals.

Reply

So glad you’re getting back into running again! Inside run today (I just can’t get myself to run outside when it’s still pitch black outside) & I typically get my house decor at Hobby Lobby or Pier One. Have a fabulous evening :)

Reply

My best friend works for Wayfair and just got me killer discounts on 2 new 8×10 rugs I bought for my townhouse! I can pass along her info if interested

Reply

Yum! I used to love the crunch donettes! Haven’t had one in so long!!

Reply

Overstock! Lots of my stuff comes from there and they have great customer service.

Outside run. I’m in FL.

No Corner Bakery near here that I know of. Panera is the closest. We really lack in the sandwich & salad type places. :(

Reply

Meant to say, your mom is cute and full of life. Brooke has her smile.

Reply

I get a lot of decor from TJMaxx or Marshall’s. I think Lowe’s may also have some options for rugs!!

Reply

Inside run for me today. You should try IKEA for rugs.

Reply

Today’s run was awesome. I only had 25 minutes so I ran the fastest I could and called it a speed session ; ) I recorded my fastest miles ever and it felt so great!!! Oh, and it was outside.

I love Corner Bakery. Their soups are amazing!

I usually go to Home Goods and Wayfair.com. Wayfair has so many cute things for not a lot of money!!

I tried to curl Rylee (my 10 month old) and failed miserably!

Reply

So glad to hear that your foot is doing better! That picture of Brooke and your nephew is really cute.
My sentence for the day is that I won tickets on the radio for meet and greet passes for Passion 2016!!! I’m super stoked for it.
Corner bakery is soooo good. I like to get the brownie if I want something sweet. They will even give you a glass of milk if you ask!
My run was inside today followed by a killer cycle sculpt(they are seriously not kidding about the sculpt) class.
I like to get a lot of decor stuff at Target. It’s just the best.

Reply

If you are ever at Corner Bakery during breakfast time you have to try the chilled Swiss oatmeal, it’s my favorite!

Reply

Your salad look soooo yummy!!! But I have to admit Brooke knows how to live her life! Pancakes for lunch! Now we are talking!
Stay dry!!! Thats my sentence since the weather completely turned around over here and its been pouring for a few days… No running for me today, had a tough track workout last night and my legs could use some relaxing and stretching. As for decor I ve always loved target!

Reply

I’ve found great rugs at Home Depot of all places! I love that they deliver for free (perfect for buying a rug much larger than your trunk!)

Reply

Recently bought a rug off Overstock.com. They usually have 10-20% coupons they’ll email you too so don’t pay full price!!

Reply

rugsusa.com has a great selection and they regularly have huge markdowns. They have a ton for 70% off right now.

Reply

ive gotten some beautiful rugs for great prices from joss and main. i have to say though that was THE hardest selection we made for our new house, i seriously took 3 months to find the one i wanted. not looking forward to doing that again when the current one gets too old and nasty. good luck!!

Reply

I love the Corner Bakery Cafe! I went there a lot when I was in grad school in SLC. I love their oatmeal and their turkey sandwich with bacon and avocado. And of course the desserts! Yum!

Reply

I’ve gotten some good quality, large rugs on Rue La La for less than $100…just have to wait for the right sale and be willing to scroll through a million rugs online. Joss and Main is great, too!

Reply

World Market! Every time I go in there, I say to my husband, “Can we just live here?”

Outside run today – it was 70 degrees for us in Austin, TX today! Only 1 run left before my first marathon!

Reply

Inside run today! Those bakery goods looked AAAAMAZING.

You and your sister have such a wonderful relationship! Love it.

Reply

RugsUsa online has been said already but it really does have a great selection of top quality rugs at discounted prices! Also, Peachtree Road Race in Atlanta has been a tradition every 4th of July for the past 5 years for my husband and I, it’s a boat load of fun!

Reply

Home Goods all the way!

Reply

BLUBERRY HANDPIE!! Try it! You’ll be so glad you did!

Reply

Wow! I know this is SUPER Late! I’ve been catching up on emails since being out of town but you should check out RugsUSA.com. I found the link from someone else but they seriously run 75% off deals (and sometimes FREE SHIPPING! What?) and their big rugs come a great price. Rugs can be so pricey! They have so much selection! Good luck decorating! I love decorating the house/house projects but they can get so pricey! : /
Can’t wait to see more of the new place and the new PUPPY! :)))
