Our local waterslide park took things to the next level and they turned the place into the North Pole.
We started off on some bumper boats that took us around the lazy river.
The abominable snowman (not pictured) at the beginning was the highlight of Brooke’s December. You think I am being dramatic, but I can assure you that I am not.
She hit up the train ride.
And the highlight for me was the waterslide that they turned into a sledding run.
We finished our date together by making a cheers to an awesome holiday season with a cup of hot chocolate from Maverick. I just put a little bit in Brooke’s cup with enough creamer to make it lukewarm:)
We got home and Brooke’s bff and her mom came over. I got all fancy in the kitchen and made her my famous sweet potato with shredded bbq chicken dish. I had this meal for lunch and dinner yesterday… if it ain’t broke (besides it turning me an orange tint), don’t fix it.
The girls then got to work on decorating cookies for Santa.
And today we will make reindeer food. Flashback to reindeer food making last year:) Glitter, oats and sprinkles!
Brooke’s finished product. She is convinced that Santa also likes 500 sprinkles per cookie.
And somehow when I was supposed to be writing emails last night at 11:30 pm my Netflix turned on… I should not be allowed to start this show because once I do, I can’t stop.
I hope that your day is filled with your people, delicious food and of course a good run because running on a holiday is the best (especially if you dress up a bit).

I told my niece that I really liked sprinkles on my sugar cookies and I got basically Brooke’s cookies! I love that they turned the water park into a winter wonderland! How fun!

I love how you have your phone propped against your computer monitor with netflix on. I do that all the time too :) I bought an iPhone stand on amazon for like $7 so that I could have it propped up without ever worrying it’s going to fall down and make me miss 2 seconds of show!

Minus the gas station hot chocolate (it was a must), we had very different experiences at the north pole. We were thete for a while and didn’t get to ride one ride. We did the craft and saw santa. I wu add h I would have seen you. Next year can we join you and actually go on the rides??

Water park turned North Pole is brilliant! We got about a foot of snow today so it’s been one of those cuddle on the couch days watching Christmas movies.
