-Brooke and I were staring at the clouds and then I asked her to take a picture with me. This was her response to my request:
-My mom had 10 of her grandkids over the other day… Brooke was in heaven.
-This candle from Bath and Body is kind of a must at this time of year.
-My sister’s baby has a sore on his big toe. Why does he have a sore on his big toe? Because he uses only his big toe to push off when he is scooting around.
-He wanted to take a selfie of us so I let him.
-Brooke is running way more than I am lately and it sure is fun to watch her. Maybe she can write a guest post with her tips on how to Run Happy.
-I’ve told you a million times about ‘You Are Special’ being my favorite children’s book… well, this is my favorite page. I cry every. single. time.
-My awesome nephew at his cross-country race with a killer look of determination and a sweet pair of the green Brooks Launch 2s.
-A text that made me smile and nod when I read it from Dr. Bennett after I told him I wouldn’t be running St. George:
-Brooke has been the best snuggler this last weekend.
-Keeping my bag of race gear from St. George packed and out for me to see… it’ll come in handy for my plan B and really determined once I’m back to running. PS I had a few questions about what I was planning on wearing—> THIS TOP (all-time favorite, I have it in three colors) and THESE SHORTS. I can’t wait to wear them soon:) PPS I got the bag at a wedding so I don’t know where it is from.
-Brooke is more patient than I am about letting her nails dry after painting them. She waited 25 minutes to touch anything.
-I took Brooke to the movies to get her out of the house yesterday because she has been such a trooper with all of my lameness lately. I fell asleep for approximately 45 minutes with her on my lap and I am pretty sure she didn’t blink once during the movie.
-Still not feeling great but I have times throughout the day that I do feel a little better = improvement. You can read about what is going on here! It is crazy how much things like this change my perspective. Usually when I don’t run it is because of an injury that really only bugs me when I am running so it doesn’t effect anything else. This time around I am excited to get back to running but more than that I think a lot about how excited I am to just feel like myself, not want to lay down all day and for food to sound good/taste good again:) I don’t know how people do it with long term illness. This kind of stuff makes me realize how precious our health is and I am sure going to appreciate feeling good when it happens (which should be soon according to the doctor… just stick with me for a bit more:)
Have any Tuesday Tangents to share with us?
Last movie you saw in the theatre? How was it?
What foods (if any) upset your stomach… what foods do you stick to because they make you feel super great? PS Not talking about junk food here because I think that doesn’t feel especially great on any of our stomachs)
How is your running going these days? Fill me in please!!
