Happy Friday! I’ve got a few things to share from our first day in California.
We did the second half of the drive yesterday morning and stopped along the way for Panera because we don’t have one where we live.
I am very grateful that he loves splitting food with me.
Santa Monica was our first stop.
Downtown Disney was our second.
Lots of browsing… the Lego creations are incredible.
Earl Sandwich for dinner—> Hawaiian BBQ sandwich for the win.
We may have gone a little overboard… when in Rome (Disneyland).
He has never been to California Adventure so we are going to be quite busy today riding every ride possible today.

I was just at Disneyland on Sunday – face rides are Space Mountain and the Indiana Jones ride on the DL side and the roller coaster and tower of terror on the CA side.

I lived in Santa Monica (as a single mom) when I was attending UCLA. Yay for rent control! I loved everything about that town: walking to the beach from our apt, walking to the library, and riding bikes in t-shirts in November.
There used to be a Toy Story arcade type ride in California Disney that my boys and I played over and over again because it was interactive and ‘time on the ride’ ratio to ‘time in line’ was favorable!

I used to live in Santa Ana when I was a wee one. They didn’t have California Adventure back then! I’m insanely jealous. You know what I love the most though? Six flags! I LOVE rollercoasters. I could care less about food, but give me ALL THE RIDES.

Panera is the best! We always go to one when we travel since we don’t have one where we’re at either!
I’m spending time with my friend who is in town from London and with a friend who is moving soon :(
Long run this weekend, 18 miles. Had to switch it with next weeks run since I’ll be out of town. I’m excited to get to it!

So fun! I haven’t been to Disney Land but love Disney World, especially the bake shop. The giant chipwiches and chocolate covered apples are the best, I am sure they have them in Disney Land too!

This weekend we have “paellacue” at our house. My husband will be trying out his new paella pan and we’ll be firing up the smoker too. Good friends, nice wine – I’m really looking forward to it! Plus, it looks like the weather will be good. Yay!

You look like you’re having so much fun! My husbands first time at Disneyland was so fun to watch. It was like he was 3 seeing Mickey for the first time haha. Favorite ride is probably splash mountain or space mountain. Never been tocalifornia adventure though.

Love Panera, your salad looked amazing! Earl of Sandwich is one of my favorite places to eat at Disney. I’m a huge sandwich lover so it’s always somewhere I stop! I say just get all the desserts you want. You can’t go wrong with desserts! 7 miles for me this weekend! I hope you enjoy your trip!

There are so many great rides in California Disney. I really liked the Tower of Terror and Rollercoaster. My husband enjoyed the Grizzly River ride (of course) and Soaring over California. The light show at night is a MUST if you can make it!!
