Pretty Much Silent Saturday

Woke up and decided that the Museum of Natural Curiosity sounded like a much better idea than going to the gym.

Lots of stuff, kinder gym with my younger son, then a trip to Michaels, then I need to pick up my race kit for tomorrow’s 10k, possibly a nap, sewing a baby blanket for a friend and probably visiting my parents!
Twin bars are amazing! I don’t even remember the last time I went to a movie! I’d probably just fall asleep at this point!

I really want to see that movie! Was it good? Today I’m planning on 8 miles trail run of the weather cooperates. It suddenly got cold and rainy in Phoenix. Weird right? It’s supposed to rain all weekend then be 100 all week. Weather is a weird thing. PS love your sunglasses. Where did you get them?

My plan for basically the whole weekend is to relax, spend some time with family and watch a few movies that I haven’t seen yet. The Imitation Game is on tap today!

Have a great weekend!

You know what’s worse than stepping up onto a curb? Stepping down off a curb. Or lowering yourself down onto the toilet seat. OUCH. And then once we’re on the toilet? Have fun getting up. I’d rather just spend the next 3 days right there.

Going for a hike, sisters soccer game, and then possibly dinner with the family! It’ll be a pretty chill weekend! I’ve never been to one of those recliner movie theaters! One just opened not too far from my house, I’ll have to check it out!

Have an amazing Saturday!

Annabelle: (after seeing the bag) Are there really 19 million people who have the same birthday as you? How do they know?

Me: Yes. Because that is about how many people who have a birthday every day.

Annabelle: Why does it say ‘Good for you?’ :)

I freaking love that bag. And the presents inside (food is my love language) and of course, the person who gave it to me. You’re the best!

I ran this morning for the first time all week – not sure where my motivation was all week long… But it was a gorgeous morning and I’m glad I got out there! Today my agenda is to buy carpet for our basement which is almost finished yay!

I had a kinesiotaping course this morning and now, NOTHING! I can’t wait. Especially since tomorrow morning I have my final 20 miler.

I love kevita, too!! The carbonation helps me not want soda.

Reply

I ran 10 miles this morning on Oahu. We have Kona winds and Vog, it is hot, still and sticky, and I PR’d my favorite loop! I pushed hard for it and was so glad when it was over.

Brooke’s hair is gorgeous! Can this girl be any more darling?

My BFF and I ran the Pat Tillman’s Run in Tempe, AZ. It honors him because he was an AZ Cardinal who left football to join the Army. He was killed in action. It was suppose to be a fun run but I have chest congestion from allergies so I ran with a cough drop in my mouth. My chest was on fire by the time I finished! Now I’m on the couch icing down and hopefully a movie or retail therapy later. Happy Saturday Chicas!

I’ve been wanting to see the Age of Adaline – it looks so good!

I ran a 10 mile race this morning & it was sooooo chilly! After I ran my race I came home and signed up to run 2 5k’s next weekend! Crazy about running…just a little:)! I will have to try kevita! Does it have any carbs?

Reply

Kevita is THE BEST! Try the blueberry/cherry…my favorite!

Today was filled with baseball for my youngest son-my High School kids had their games in different locations. Yesterday I did an awesome 20mile day so today I rested at the baseball fields, stretched, and cheered!

Edible presents are the best!

Reply

That list is so true! One exception to the shower though: water hitting anywhere that chafed! I thought I had escaped my last race with no chafing and BOY was I wrong! Can you guess how I found out? Hahaha.

Reply

A friend of mine got engaged in the mountains this morning!!! It was beautiful and we got to celebrate over breakfast.

Yup, edible presents are something you really can’t go wrong with. They will always use them. :-D

Reply

I did a 4.2 mile Fun Run to support The Pat Tillman Foundation. He was a true hero and I am so glad I was able to go!

I want to see that movie too!
Love your Boston nails!

No running for me today, still resting a bit from Boston. Our city is hosting a marathon tomorrow and the kids ran in the 1 mile race today. It was cold, but fun!
Loved that marathon video. I was shocked that I had no chafing or blisters from that rainy Boston race!

Looks like you’re enjoying some time off! :)

Today was perfect: froyo at my favorite place, then hanging at the pool with my sis. The countdown to summer is underway. I also bought some sugar cookies at Corner Bakery, which was a wonderful decision.

I ran by that museum this morning ! I did the Tulip Festival Half Marathon. Such a beautiful and hilly course.

Was a low key kinda day here in Georgia as well!! Actually took a 4 hour nap! YES! Call me lazy! But, i guess we have days like that!!! I did get in a few miles on the treadmill, so I wasn’t completely a slug! LOL!!!

The museum looks like a great deal of fun!!! :)

Hey Janae. Congratulations on your Boston result. You worked really hard and deserved your success and I especially love how you enjoyed it – after all that’s what its about :). From a fellow movie addict, I also loved Age of Adeline – loved Harrison Ford and Blake is so, so beautiful.

You really do have an adorable little girl!

We spent most of our day at our local “Butter & Eggs” festival/parade. Our munchkin was marching with her junior high band. They did really well!

There was a couple in wedding attire riding on a float with folks who looked like they could be attendants. Turns out, they got married at the end of the parade by one of our councilmen. Pretty cool.

Saw Age of Adeline yesterday and LOVED it! Seriously, amazing story line and a great cast. I actually called my mom right after and told her she had to go see it lol. Glad you agree ;)
