Woke up and decided that the Museum of Natural Curiosity sounded like a much better idea than going to the gym.
Little carts always make us happy.
My latest addiction. This stuff is bomb. PS I hope my Boston colored nails never come off.
Food always makes for the perfect birthday gift. HAPPY BDAY MEGAN D!
I told you, the kaleidoscope is pretty much another appendage at this point.
The only cup I use at home.
Easy dinner at home with steak and other goodies.
Put the Brookers to bed at my parents’ house and went to my favorite weekend activity.
Because a twix and a recliner chair are just right.
I cried 5 times during this movie. Loved it.
11 Thoughts Every Runner Has After Finishing a Marathon! Absolutely hilarious and absolutely true.
What are you up to today?!?!?
I’m actually building a fire pit.
This could be very good or completely catastrophic, probably the later…..
Have a great weekend!
victoria @smiles 'n' snuggles
Lots of stuff, kinder gym with my younger son, then a trip to Michaels, then I need to pick up my race kit for tomorrow’s 10k, possibly a nap, sewing a baby blanket for a friend and probably visiting my parents!
Twin bars are amazing! I don’t even remember the last time I went to a movie! I’d probably just fall asleep at this point!
Megan @ Skinny Fitalicious
I really want to see that movie! Was it good? Today I’m planning on 8 miles trail run of the weather cooperates. It suddenly got cold and rainy in Phoenix. Weird right? It’s supposed to rain all weekend then be 100 all week. Weather is a weird thing. PS love your sunglasses. Where did you get them?
Molly @ Motherhood and Marathons
I love that gift bag, it’s super cute!
Today we’re going to toddler gymnastics at Gymboree, which is always hilarious! Then we’re going to Monkey Joes for a play date :) tomorrow we’re going to my brother’s house for a play date with lots of babies <3
Have a great weekend!
Sarah @ SarahRuns26
Food is the perfect gift!
My plan for basically the whole weekend is to relax, spend some time with family and watch a few movies that I haven’t seen yet. The Imitation Game is on tap today!
Have a great weekend!
Laura @ This Runner's Recipes
Food is always the best gift, especially if there’s chocolate involved!
This weekend is busy with garage sales and apartment viewings. Three weeks until we move out west and each week gets busier!
Hope you and Brooke have a wondeful Saturday!
I am glad you gave a movie review–that one has been on my list to see!
Just finished 15 mile bike ride and now onto a baseball tournament for my nephew.
P.S. I love the nail colors–will have to do something like that when the Broncos start playing again!
I am going for a long run which I am putting off because I don’t really want to….and we are getting a hot tub!!!!!
You know what’s worse than stepping up onto a curb? Stepping down off a curb. Or lowering yourself down onto the toilet seat. OUCH. And then once we’re on the toilet? Have fun getting up. I’d rather just spend the next 3 days right there.
Going for a hike, sisters soccer game, and then possibly dinner with the family! It’ll be a pretty chill weekend! I’ve never been to one of those recliner movie theaters! One just opened not too far from my house, I’ll have to check it out!
Have an amazing Saturday!
That movie looks so heart breaking! I’m sure I’ll cry the whole way through.
I’m getting my hair cut (ahh!), getting a bunch of writing done for work and then stake conference tonight.
Becca @ www.Run-becca-run.com
I’m about to head out for a six miler in the rain. I’m so badass. :) I plan on working on my blog. I’ve neglecgted it since my dog Sam died. And if the spirit moves me, I’m going to the mall to buy “necessities”. Woo hoo!
Oh, I will go watch that movie!
Sally @ sweat out the small stuff
Resting up and icing everything. Marathon #6 in the morning. Running the New Jersey Marathon For the 3rd consecutive year :)
Fighting with cable companies while they ruin my life! Blah
and going to my cousin’s bridal shower tonight :)
Leigha @ The Yooper Girl
Watching the new Pioneer Woman then going out for a 7-8 mile run! Also going to eat some homemade cinnamon rolls that grandpa just dropped off – especially with my new body acceptance!
I love the last point on the 11 thoughts every runner experiences after a marathon article. “Signs up for the next race”- ha so true! Signed up for St George Marathon yesterday, it would be my first! Fingers crossed I get into the lottery!
Browsing the internet in bed. I have NO plans. My favorite day. Well, I’m going to the gym. Need to get a few miles and some weights in. Plan out my 20 miler…..
Robyn @Robyn's Living Life
Haha I love that list! So true!
hahaha those “11 thoughts every marathoner has” was hilarious!! I’m pretty sure #8 is me most nights and #9 is most mornings. I heart sleep.
Food really is the best gift. Megan should be thankful for a friend like you (happy birthday megan!)
Awe. Thank you! I am VERY thankful for Janae! She is a stellar friend,
jessica @ VEGGIE RUNNING MOMMA
How cute.! Those mini carts are the best.
Unfortunately I’m working today.. but I think I’m going to run after work.. I like never run in the afternoon. So that should be interesting.
Annabelle: (after seeing the bag) Are there really 19 million people who have the same birthday as you? How do they know?
Me: Yes. Because that is about how many people who have a birthday every day.
Annabelle: Why does it say ‘Good for you?’ :)
I freaking love that bag. And the presents inside (food is my love language) and of course, the person who gave it to me. You’re the best!
I ran this morning for the first time all week – not sure where my motivation was all week long… But it was a gorgeous morning and I’m glad I got out there! Today my agenda is to buy carpet for our basement which is almost finished yay!
Joanna @ Crazy Runner Girl
12 mile run & enjoying the beautiful weather!!
That museum looks so fun!
I had a kinesiotaping course this morning and now, NOTHING! I can’t wait. Especially since tomorrow morning I have my final 20 miler.
Jennifer @ JenChoosesJoy
I ran the country music half this morning!
I love kevita, too!! The carbonation helps me not want soda.
I ran 10 miles this morning on Oahu. We have Kona winds and Vog, it is hot, still and sticky, and I PR’d my favorite loop! I pushed hard for it and was so glad when it was over.
Brooke’s hair is gorgeous! Can this girl be any more darling?
My BFF and I ran the Pat Tillman’s Run in Tempe, AZ. It honors him because he was an AZ Cardinal who left football to join the Army. He was killed in action. It was suppose to be a fun run but I have chest congestion from allergies so I ran with a cough drop in my mouth. My chest was on fire by the time I finished! Now I’m on the couch icing down and hopefully a movie or retail therapy later. Happy Saturday Chicas!
Heather @ Run Eat Play
I’ve been wanting to see the Age of Adaline – it looks so good!
Today is a rainy, stay home day!
I ran a 10 mile race this morning & it was sooooo chilly! After I ran my race I came home and signed up to run 2 5k’s next weekend! Crazy about running…just a little:)! I will have to try kevita! Does it have any carbs?
Kevita is THE BEST! Try the blueberry/cherry…my favorite!
Today was filled with baseball for my youngest son-my High School kids had their games in different locations. Yesterday I did an awesome 20mile day so today I rested at the baseball fields, stretched, and cheered!
Edible presents are the best!
That list is so true! One exception to the shower though: water hitting anywhere that chafed! I thought I had escaped my last race with no chafing and BOY was I wrong! Can you guess how I found out? Hahaha.
A friend of mine got engaged in the mountains this morning!!! It was beautiful and we got to celebrate over breakfast.
Yup, edible presents are something you really can’t go wrong with. They will always use them. :-D
I did a 4.2 mile Fun Run to support The Pat Tillman Foundation. He was a true hero and I am so glad I was able to go!
I want to see that movie too!
Love your Boston nails!
Lisa @ TechChick Adventures
No running for me today, still resting a bit from Boston. Our city is hosting a marathon tomorrow and the kids ran in the 1 mile race today. It was cold, but fun!
Loved that marathon video. I was shocked that I had no chafing or blisters from that rainy Boston race!
Looks like you’re enjoying some time off! :)
Today was perfect: froyo at my favorite place, then hanging at the pool with my sis. The countdown to summer is underway. I also bought some sugar cookies at Corner Bakery, which was a wonderful decision.
I ran by that museum this morning ! I did the Tulip Festival Half Marathon. Such a beautiful and hilly course.
Polly @ mytimerunner
Was a low key kinda day here in Georgia as well!! Actually took a 4 hour nap! YES! Call me lazy! But, i guess we have days like that!!! I did get in a few miles on the treadmill, so I wasn’t completely a slug! LOL!!!
The museum looks like a great deal of fun!!! :)
Hey Janae. Congratulations on your Boston result. You worked really hard and deserved your success and I especially love how you enjoyed it – after all that’s what its about :). From a fellow movie addict, I also loved Age of Adeline – loved Harrison Ford and Blake is so, so beautiful.
Erin @ Her Heartland Soul
I want to see that movie! Glad to know you enjoyed it!
I spent the day at the Drake Relays with my dad. It’s always so cool to see such great athletes compete on the track! It was raining and cold all day but still fun to hang out with my dad and watch a great track meet!
1) your hair looks fantastic in the first picture!
2) look how curly her hair is getting! adorable!
Amanda [email protected]
30 k race today! Now resting and watching Last Man on Earth with the family!
Amanda B @ Cupcakes and Miles
I was thinking of seeing Adaline. I’m happy to hear you thought it was good!
And, it looks like you guys had a great Saturday! :)
Running and shopping were on my Saturday to-do list.
I have been hanging out with family all day and it has been wonderful!
I want see that movie!
Have a wonderful weekend! :)
Doni @ My adventures in living
You really do have an adorable little girl!
We spent most of our day at our local “Butter & Eggs” festival/parade. Our munchkin was marching with her junior high band. They did really well!
There was a couple in wedding attire riding on a float with folks who looked like they could be attendants. Turns out, they got married at the end of the parade by one of our councilmen. Pretty cool.
Saw Age of Adeline yesterday and LOVED it! Seriously, amazing story line and a great cast. I actually called my mom right after and told her she had to go see it lol. Glad you agree ;)
Brooke is SOOOO cute in this picture! And I’m cracking up over the “11 things” article!! Have a great day :)
Super cool glass. If I had one I would totally rock it every day too! I have a local race 1st place coffee mug and use that every chance I get!
Looks like a fun day!
I went and saw Age of Adaline as well, loved it. My sister was hoping she would end up with Harrison Ford, she said he was way hotter. haha!!
The dog scene was so heartbreaking.
