We really need to stop going to Target so much.
Boston Marathon runners—> HERE is the place to go for a personalized pace chart… They take your goal time and give you mile splits for the course according to the elevation gain/loss etc.
You have to admit, this is pretty cool.
Brooke treasures any and all cards that she ever gets from people (below is a Vday card from my mom and dad).
My aunt gave me a pretty sweet mug:
Sissy’s new little man just had his newborn pictures taken!
Flying on over to Minneapolis to hang out at GENERAL MILLS today… We took a little stop along the way in Colorado.
I left my house at 4 a.m. this morning and so the below image is quite accurate.
A salad (with BEETS… who am I?) first and then my plane necessities.
There is still time for you to celebrate pancake day.
Won’t be seeing Brooke until tomorrow night so we went on a special date together last night!
Also, I am pretty sure the airline lost my bag, if anyone in Minnesota wants to let me borrow their PureFlows so I can go on a run tomorrow morning that would just be splendid.
—————————————-
What is your sentence for the day?
I didn’t run today so I need to live through your run and hear all about it please:)
Last place that you flew to? Ever had the airline lose your bag… I need some reassurance that they will find it.
What store do you go to the most?
-Target.

I go to Target so much also! Last night I went for a few groceries and returned with a new coffee maker.
Last place I flew was to Detroit a couple years ago but my husband and I are flying to Seattle this weekend!
One of my friends had their luggage lost by the airline when we went to study abroad in Germany and the airline eventually returned it! I hope you get yours back!
Jennifer
Nashvillians are suffering from some serious cabin fever from our ice storm!
I ran 13 treadmill miles.
Last flight: DC and yes I’ve lost luggage. They’ve always found it though.
I go to Whole Foods way too often…oh and Fleet Feet.
Sarah @ KS Runner
Last place I flew was to NYC. I’ve only ever lost luggage on the way home, so it didn’t really matter that much, but they did always have it to me within 24 hours.
My run will be 7 treadmill miles after work…22 minutes and counting.
Hope your bag shows up soon!!
Hollie
Is there any way you could spend too much at target LOL?
But seriously so sorry to hear they lost your suitcase. If you were in NJ, I would be able to get you a pair of pure flows. I ran through the snow and by run I mostly trudged…
Kristina @ Blog About Running
That mug is the best gift! I love it!
I hope your bag shows up so you can go out for a run in the morning! And also so you have the other, less important things, like pajamas, clothes for your meeting with GM and stuff like that ;)
Courtney @ Cardio Queen
There’s still IHOP’s Pancake Day benefiting a great cause!! :)

oh my gosh, i also need to stop going to target so much! excited to hear about your trip to GM.
Megan D
Nooooo!! I hope they find it and find it soon. I have only ever checked a bag a handful of time because I am scared they will lose it. My mom’s was lost once and they never did find it. Ever since then she puts a big paper on top of all her stuff before she closes it with her information for them to return it.
Just flew to AZ this weekend.
I probably go to Walmart the most. And that gives me the sadzzz. I am always forgetting something on my grocery list.
Looking at your pace chart..it makes me tired. That is an amazing pace to keep up for 26.2 miles. You’re kinda my idol.
Kristin
I have some Mizuno’s you can borrow! Did I mention I live in Minneapolis and work down the way from General Mills?
Amanda
I know there have been several comments along these lines, but I also live in Minneapolis and am beyond excited that you are visiting. Though I do wish the weather was a bit nicer for you… perhaps you need to compensate for all of that nice Utah weather you’ve been enjoying. Can’t wait to hear all about your trip.
Ashley @ A Lady Goes West
Target gets me every single time. Have fun on the trip! Lots of cereal in your future!!! :)
Pam
Thanks for the Boston Marathon pace chart. I had not seen that and while I have run parts of the course with my sister, this will make race planning easier.
Natalie @ Never Serious Blog
Oh TARGET. Without any doubt.
Last place I flew to was Bend, OR, and the next place I’m flying to is Cancun! Desperately in need of a vacay!
I feel so so bad for you and your lost luggage, it can really ruin the fun of a trip! :/
Jessica @ VEGGIE RUNNING MOMMA
dudddeee Target is totally my store too. I just got a running jacket for 20 dollars there.! it was the best steal ever.
Brooke is so cute :) and thanks for the link to that site for paces. I’ll have to check it out now
and I ran just 3 miles today. but it means soo much to me now that I am coming back from a groin injury :)
Traci
Where did your aunt get that mug?? I need to buy one for me & all of my friends!
Karen @karenlovestorun
Sentence for the day: Packed our apartment to move on Friday!
Target is definitely the store I go to most, I’ll use anything as an excuse to run over there!
Last place I flew to was DISNEY! :)
Karen @karenlovestorun
Robyn @ Robyn's Living Life
I have lost mine before! They brought it to my place overnight:) But I never check anymore b/c I am paranoid they will lose it!
Alisha @ Real Girl Running
Today was strength training day, so I just did a light 3km warm up jog before hand.
That is the greatest mug ever!!!
Well, apart from my grocery store, I probably visit my coffee shop the next most. Oh wait, that’s food too …. hmmm. I go to JB Hifi a lot for a browse – it’s an electronics / dvds / music store. But then next is probably Target :)
Becky @ Ok, so here's the plan
Sentence: Stop eating so many skittles!
I ran an easy 4 miles on the treadmill today while reading American Gods on my kindle.
The last place I flew was London last summer when my boyfriend was there for work. I miss travelling! My bags have missed connections before, but they always turn up eventually!
I go to the grocery store by my house the most.
Erin @ Her Heartland Soul
Have fun with General Mills! I love Target!
Jackie
Love the mug! Any idea where your aunt got it from?
Livi @ Eat, Pray, Work It Out
The grocery store… i love food haha!
Kathryn
Hope you had a safe flight!
Today was 8 miles on the treadmill because of all of the snow outside. I have Yaktrax, which I love, but I thought today I would keep warm rather than freeze my tiny toes off. It was a solid 8, but I did 16 yesterday so I was slower than normal. I rode the bike for ten minutes after and did some light lifting just to add a little variety. My next marathon is in Spring, so I am pushing out longer runs.
That mug is too adorable. I think I will be adding it to my collection ;)
The last place I flew was to Georgia for a memorial service this past summer. I have never lost a bag, but I imagine it is a nightmare. It did happen to one of my sisters though when she flew to England! Once again, nightmare.
And store… I am thinking the grocery store. I probably go to the grocery store or CVS for something everyday. I live in the city, so I just walk there whenever I need something (…. or candy).
Have fun!
Denise @ An Academic Athlete
Last place I flew to was Boston, which was fun because I had never been there before! I did a 3.5 mile run today, and the first .75 miles was with my dog, who likes to go fast! :)
Kathy
OMG~ You are in MN????? I am just a little south (ok 30 miles?) of Downtown…do you were a size 9…you could borrow anything…although, pretty sure not much would fit….but you may fit into my daughters stuff. ha!
Are you just stopping by GM or anywhere else??? Seriously if bored email me!!! ;-))
Susan
Hi from Colorado! We just flew in from a weekend trip to Arizona last night and I was not ready for our cold/snow!
My luggage did not make it one time when I flew to Oregon, but it made it by the next day so all was fine. I hope they find yours!
The store I spend the most $$ besides our grocery store would probably be Dicks Sporting Goods. Since I work from home, all cute workout clothes become my work attire.
Brianne
I just got back from a trip to Montana. I thought of you as I changed planes in Salt Lake City since I caught up on my blog reading during my layover! I’m also a target addict. My husband said there is a problem since he was with me and our daughter last time and the cashier said hello to our daughter by name . Whoops!! :)
Leah
Ah! You’re in MN! I have purple pure flows (thanks to your many recommendations) here for you if you need! Have fun at General Mills!! Welcome to the frozen tundra!
Rachel @ Blonde with a Chanse
Oh no I am so sorry about your luggage!!! I hope you can get things worked out! How did you handle the beets girl?! I can’t stand em :( Have fun in Minnesota!!! :)
Megan @ Skinny Fitalicious
I go to Sprouts (my grocery store) the most. They’re a smaller and more reasonable version of whole foods. Today’s workout consisted of heavy lifting. Hope you find some runners. That’s a huge bummer about your bag!
Doni
I’m heading to Puerto Vallarta at the end of this week with my hubby and some friends. Can’t wait. We’ve discussed whether to check luggage or not. He’s 6’5″ though and a pair of his shoes takes up an entire carry on — so unless he’s planning on wearing the same pair of shorts all week — we’ll probably be checking. I have had luggage lost before — only on the way home, so it wasn’t a huge deal, just inconvenient.
Really hope the airline delivers your luggage promptly!
Erin @ Erin's Inside Job
Man everyone is going to Minnesota today! I hope you have a great time at GM!
I didn’t run today but did teach 2 classes this morning and then took the one after that so at least I got a good workout in! Tabata Tuesday all the way :)
Hope they find your bag! Ive never lost mine but my friend did and they found it so there’s hope.
Lisa
First off, welcome to Minnesota! I hope you love it! The pace chart is amazing – they need to do that for every race and I LOVE the mug!
Fiona @ Get Fit Fiona
Oh no, I hope you get your bag back soon. Lost luggage is the worst!
Laura
I flew to Paris last summer. I have complete faith that they will find your bag! I just know it. MMMmmm, your plane snacks look great!
I haven’t gone to the gym yet.. (teaching), but it will be great.
I often go to Meijer a ton because I go through produce so quickly.
Linda @ The Fitty
Funny thing…Target is closing in our country because their prices are just too high(we’re in Canada). They just can’t compete with Walmart!
I can’t wait to move to the states to visit Target and get some decently priced foods.
Kimberly @ Keeping Up With Kimberly
6 x 400 workout today and I powered through thanks to your post this morning :)
Bummer about your luggage…hopefully you still have a blast with the General Mills crew!
Gretchen
Eeek! I live in MN. You can totally borrow my Brooks but I think my feet are much too big for you. I’m sorry you have to be here when it’s so darn cold. Enjoy!
Natalie
Stationary bike today!
Last place I flew was Puerto Vallarta
Bummer about your luggage! I hope you get it tonight
Unfortunately there is a Whole Foods close by, and I need to stop going so much :)
Have a great trip!!
jaime
My last flight was probably Arizona, and the airlines have lost my luggage before but I always managed to get it back. I have a friend who had their luggage mailed to them years later. Sooner or later it all flows downstream (but hopefully sooner than later ;) I shop at Target too often as well. Love that store! Happy trails!
Anne @ CandyCrazedrun.com
I love pretty much every single one of these haha.
Brooke, I totally get the card thing, I just feel TERRIBLE throwing away a card someone took the time to give me.
Your Menchies picture makes me long for it, I wanted to give up something that was an actual sacrifice (It’s sad that Menchies is that important to me) so I gave up froyo for Lent and I’m only one day in haha.
Good luck with your bag!!
Krista
1. That Boston pace chart is everything!! So helpful that it takes elevation into account. I will be printing this out and laminating it for the race :)
2. Target is also my downfall. I can never escape without buying something i didn’t know I needed!
Lindsey B
Welcome to Minneapolis!! I live here and lots of running clothes and PureFlows to share!! Hit me up if you for reals need anything :-)
Amy Larson
Oh , you are in MN! I live in the Twin Cities and would meet you for a run, but this is too cold even for Minnesotans. Be careful. Your skin could freeze.
Nicole@Thegirlwhoraneverywhere
I love Target and decided a long time ago that it’s quite impossible to spend less than $50 per a trip! The clothes, the snacks, the cosmetics-there is no where you can go WRONG!!
Meredith
Ha ha ha! I was in the Denver airport today too! Lots of snow and ice and then they are suppose to go back to 57F again tomorrrow….My sentence for today is it has been a long day and I made it to beautiful Seattle!
Liv @ Healthy Liv
The airlines lost my bag when I went to KENYA and I didn’t get it for 3 days! So I’d shower off with just water and then put the same clothes back on every day. Yikes!
Hopefully they’ll get your bag to you ASAP :)
Linda @ running4two
Going to Target is my go to activity when I am bored…it’s so great for my budget. :)
I hope you get to eat lots of cereal on your trip!
Rachel
I live and work in Minneapolis! Enjoy your time here, it’s supposed to Be super cold!
Anne
I have a brand new pair of PureFlow2s in the box, but they’re a size 8 :( Hope your bag showed up!
Enjoy what you can in our freezing Minneapolis weather!
Irina @ Miss Irina
I miss Target so much! And Costco. We have both in Manhattan but they’re so far awaaaayyyy and without a car I’m not going all the way up to Harlem just because I’m addicted to the stores :)
Have a great time in the Midwest!
Trina @anegineergonerunning
That mug is the best!
Anna | Gone Banannas
Target is a deep, dark black hole. I have said to myself time and time again, “I’m just going to stop by Target to pick up (enter the ONE item I need) and then head home.” An hour and one hundred dollars later, I leave Target with everything I wanted and forgetting the one thing I need! WITHOUT FAIL!
Sam @ Grapefruit & Granola
The last place I flew to was actually Utah! I did my dietetic internship through Utah State’s program in SLC and had to fly out there for orientation. It was very beautiful!
Airlines lost my boyfriend’s bag in college and it was a nightmare. And then they dropped it off on his doorstep in the middle of the night one night and he didn’t even know it was there, lol. I hope you get your luggage back safe and sound.
Molly Rose
I’ve been on a treadmill kick where I start at ~9:20 min/mile (comfy) pace and each lap make my way down to ~7:45 (FAST for me) pace… it’s just a couple miles total but a butt-kicker! Quick n sweaty :)
That gummy candy scarf…. those sour punch straws…. I miss gummy candy! I stopped eating copious amounts of sugary carbs and THE STRUGGLE IS REAL. Someone punch me. (sour punch me).
never stop going to target, it’s not right Janae.
courtney
hey girl! wanted to write fast so you know this– you can usually get the airline to reimburse you for your lost luggage, a certain amount per day! mine was left behind when i was on a business trip to japan, and i was reimbursed ~$50/ day– you might even be able to snag some extra sneaks with that reimbursement. definitely look into it!!! good luck!
ps– that pacing chart is so great. just got mine! enjoy your trip xx
courtney
oh, and ps– i did get my bag back the next day. i know some people who have had to wait longer, but that’s usually for international flights. i think you’ll be good to go :]
Ashley @ Saving Money in your Twenties
I think target is probs the store I go to most, too. well maybe tied with the grocery store, haha. I hope they find your bag soon!! have so much fun on the trip! :)
Jessica @ kiwiyogirunner
I hope they find your bag! I just flew back to New Zealand!! It took approx 30 hours and the longest leg of the flight was 14hrs, I am officially a zombie :) but they didn’t lose my bag luckily!
Kristen
I wish you were in MN longer!! Would have loved to meet you in person! And I have pure flows you can borrow! Enjoy your time at GM!!!-
Laura W
1. Where did that mug come from?!?!
2. I live in Minneapolis and it is SO BIZARRE to see some of my favorite bloggers posting about it! -30 windchill tomorrow though, are you sure about wanting those PureFlows haha
Enjoy the trip and come back when Mother Nature will let you actually enjoy the city ;)
Suzy
I’m sure another Canadian commented on this already but I’ll say it again… we had a Target up here for a split second before they took it away! SO SAD.
tasha
If you are able to you must run along the Mississippi while you’re in MSP! West river road and east river road trails are the best and run over Stone Arch Bridge…it’s the best of minneapolis!!
Chloe
I just lost my luggage YESTERDAY! It arrived safe and sound today. Good luck with yours!
Katie@Run Wild in Alaska
Of course Target is the best store on Earth! That was the first thing I checked when we talked about moving a few years ago – no Target would have been a dealbreaker!
Love that Diet Coke meme. That’ll be me gearing up for parent-teacher conferences this week!
Amanda B @ Cupcakes & Miles
Don’t worry, there is no such thing as too much Target!
That mug is absolutely AMAZING!
The last place I flew to was Vegas for a friend’s wedding; I’ve never had an airline lose my bag (knock on wood), but I always make sure to carry a change of clothes in my carry on. I will now be adding running shoes to the list of carry on only items.
I hope they find your bag soon though. That really stinks! :(
Daisy @ Fit Wanderlust Runner
The headquarters for Target are in Minnesota. They are super big especially in Minneapolis. I had a great time when I went there a few years ago.
Tantra
I flew from Long Island to ohare for a long weekend. My bags never made it to Chicago however they did meet me back in Long Island on Tuesday when we got back on Monday:( lol
Amanda
Janae if you could squeeze your feet into a size 7 I would totally have your back on the PureFlows! My apartment also has treadmills which you may love once you get here and step outside. Enjoy Minneapolis!
Monica
That mug is the coolest!
Kimberly
I go to Target waaay too much. 2-3 things on my list seems to turn into $200 worth of random stuff every single time…
Sorry about your luggage!! That is the worst!
Becca
Where did your aunt get that mug?? I must buy it for every runner I know!!
Marissa @ Run Riss Run
I recently flew to TX. I have had my bag sort of lost. We got on our connecting flight and my bag didn’t. They FedEx’d it to me shortly thereafter. I <3 Target.
Johanna B
I lost mine on the way from DFW to Sea-Tac. They finally found it and then blamed me for it being torn up because I’d bought such a cheap bag. Bah humbug!
Jane @ 50statecanuck
Last place I flew to was San Antonio Texas…coming from Canada, that was a pretty exciting trip!!
Yes, I’ve once had my luggage lost…for 36 hours. Such a pain. But when they did find it, they drove it the 2 hours to where I was staying to get it to me.
Kate @ Kate Lives Healthy
Hope you have a great time in MN! Love your fill-in book. I always pick a book up for long trips!
Thea
I won’t begin to tell you how often I go to target, both with and without my family…. it is scary.
Kristen
Tuesday was HARD. Wednesday WILL be better.
I’ve only lost luggage when I was a kid so mercifully don’t really remember the process. I had stuff stolen out of my luggage in Mexico though. Not cool.
Believe it or not I think I actually go to Target more than you do. It’s kinda between my house and the gym, plus it’s the closest store to my house other than a gas station. So we go wayyy too much.
Mindy W.
Sentence of the day – Stay focused and be present.
I am obsessed with TJ Maxx and go allllll the time! 2nd is probably Marshalls….
Jarrelle C
Where in the world is that mug from??? I NEED it!!!!! Please tell:-)
Tricia @ A Couple of Dashes
That mug is hilarious! I’m with you, I need to stop shopping at Target so much too! I stop in there to grab one thing for $5 and end up spending $50. It’s gotten a little out of hand!
Krista
I need that mug where did your aunt get it !!!! Target in Canada closed but was never as dangerous as in the us
Tedi @ Running With Infertility
I ran yesterday (when you posted this) and only ran 3 miles. I didn’t have any pain, which is totally great! Love it!
Kay
I could literally go to Target every day and not get sick of it, haha!
Losing Lindy
ack lost luggage is the absolute worst
