Saturday morning started out with 8 miles. I pushed my pace on Friday and so I made sure to keep the pace super relaxed (and about 1 minute and 20 seconds slower per mile) yesterday. The recovery is just as important as training!!
We stayed at my aunt’s house in St. George and her exact words were—> “Mi casa es su casa.” Ummmmm okay… St. George is one of my absolute favorite places. I am positive we will now be down south all of the time now.
I think the red dirt brings out my pink shoes quite nicely.
I’m sure you really needed to see two pictures of my shoes this morning.
We hit the road but made plenty of stops because that is what you do with a two year old and a 28 year old that forgets they are about to go on a road trip and drinks way too much water.
Sure going to miss this little sidekick of mine.
Because vegetables just make me feel good.
After lunch Brooke and I both picked out these as our treat at the gas station.
Delicious at any age:
We picked up our really good friend Amanda along the way….
Once we dropped Brooke off to stay with her dad we hit the road again to meet up with the girls for a mini trip in Phoenix.
I was in the car for 14 hours yesterday. Fun stuff.
Found this little gem at a random gas station in Indio.
Megan sent me this picture when we were about two hours away from her house. She takes good care of me.
Longest road trip that you have ever done!?
Three things that you are doing today?
-I’m not going to be in a car.
-I’m going to eat the above donut.
-I’m going to enjoy the Arizona sun.
