Silent Saturday because I didn’t bring my computer.

I hope your weekend is off to a good start. I left my computer at home so I am blogging from the good ol’ iPhone! Day 1 in San Francisco was a success.

3 Donut stops in one day!?!? I’m so jealous! :) Can I please tag along for the next girl trip! You guys seem like too much fun!

I love San Fran. Little Italy and China Town have some of the best restaurants.

29.24 weeks pregnant and just took an hour jog, that counts as a long run right?
Way to do the donut thing! Sticking with that today, or changing over to a different indulgence?

Reply

You are definitely doing San Francisco right. Nice!

Love the donut shirt and donuts. San Fran is so gorgeous. I love Pier 39 and the GGB.

Janae! I was in San Fran yesterday too. That means we have been in two places at the same time (St. George marathon and San Fran) and I have yet to see you. We need to change that :)

If you have time you should DEFINITELY go to CREAM. They have them all over the bay now, but the original is in Berkeley. If you like cookies and ice cream sandwiched together (who doesn’t?!) you should go for sure.

You MUST go to Tartine Bakery in the Mission. It’s the best bakery I’ve ever been to, you can’t go wrong everything is spectacular. My favorites are the ham and cheese croissant, peach bread pudding (I don’t even like bread pudding and I can’t put this one down), and all the cookies. Enjoy your weekend and have some baked goods!

18 mile run in the rain today! Feels good to be done. My only SF experience involved food poisoning, a 2 month old, and lots of breast pumping so unfortunately not great memories!

You girls know how to do it! I have a friend who’s a district attorney and super organized who makes itineraries like that on our girl trips I love it!
I’m running a half marathon tomorrow and am hoping to get sub 2 hour again and am second guessing myself and have butterflies ahhh! Hoping I sleep tonight!

SF is so much fun. COLD, but fun! Looks like you’re having a great time. ALL THE DONUTS. I did five miles this morning. Second Saturday in a row since my injury. Feeling good!

I have my 6th half marathon this weekend – sub 2 hour finish here I come! :)

My husband and I were just in San Francisco two weekends ago (we’re from Iowa). It was so much fun. The Mexican food at Don Pisto’s was amazing, especially the al pastor tacos. We went to Bob’s Doughnuts too. We sure earned those doughnuts walking up all those hills! Have a great time :-)

Reply

I’ve never been to San Fran so I have no types but it sounds fun!! Enjoy all the donuts! I did a little over 8 miles this morning in preparation for my 15k next weekend.

LR tomorrow (10 miles…longest run since my half in August…and starting the LR prep for my second half next month). Have fun in San Fran! It’s such a beautiful city!!!

I love SF! It’s such a beautiful city. I most definitely would not mind living there someday – their weather is basically perfect for running all year long! ;)

Tomorrow I am going to do my first run post-marathon – just something short and easy by feel! So weird to not have a long run on tap this weekend!

HRD coffee chop in SOMA- Not a coffee shop but unbelievably awesome Asian fusion. I miss it so much! http://hrdcoffeeshop.com/ Go and eat all the thing!

I travel to San Francisco every year for the Nike Women’s Marathon. Ferry plaza building is my favorite place for all things food related, especially the giant farmers market on Saturdays.
I love the feel of North Beach and there is great shopping and so many good places to eat in Pacific Heights.

Your friend’s donut shirt is pretty awesome!

I love that you are finished “clubbing” by 10:30.

Totally messed up my hip on my long run today. Will have to wait and see if this means I am out of my marathon.

Reply

How fun! Love the itinerary :-) I’ll be in SF next weekend for nike and can’t wait! Even though we only live an hour away, we don’t go often. I think mainly because of the traffic. So annoying!

I went to nursing school in San Francisco, I love and miss it so much!! Sadly I was flat broke all the years I lived in the city, and our apartment was out in The Sunset, so I didn’t get to really live it up :(

Have so much fun with your girlfriends!!!

Janae, I have been reading your blog religiously for the last month and LOVE it! I want to be you when I become a “real person” aka graduate!
