This meal was brought to me by Costco. Salmon. Butter on my salmon. Edamame. Sweet potato. All from the Costco. The only non-Costco item was the South African Smoke seasoning on the salmon from TJ’s.
Brooke decided yesterday that the whole nap thing wasn’t an option so instead we discussed life and things life physics and politics on the couch.
After dinner I switched kiddos with my sister so Brooke could spend some time with her cousins and I could take my nephew to the largest trampoline gym in the USA (that is what they claim at least).
Side note—> this is a picture of me and my nephew when he was Brooke’s age. Time flies. And back in the good ol’ days I had a different color of hair every three months.
Climbing out of that below foam pit was quite the workout. I had to take at least a few rest breaks as I was trying to get out. Great cross-training and it was very similar to pool running.
A little video that may help to explain why I get injured so often. First, my nephew shows me how the move is done. Second, I attempt what he does and land on the hard part of the trampoline and hurt my foot. Third, I try it again and somehow make it through alive but do not make the basket at the end.
At Maverick I experienced two very strong emotions—> Pride and disappointment. I am a very proud aunt because of my nephew’s skills but beyond disappointed with my own performance.
I hope your Thursday is off to a great start!!!
