Gotta love Mondays, our Sundance tradition and you’re not a nutella jar.

It has been weeks since I have done a total body strength workout and months since I have been to a pump class.  I decided that today was the day to start going back to pump classes.  Gotta love how Mondays motivate us to start a new goal.  I was going to run after class but decided to ellipticize instead for a bit… I ran 46 miles last week and that is way too high for me so soon after a marathon and so I am going to definitely back off this week.

Yep, that is my shoe chip from the RnR Seattle 1/2 Marathon that was in June.  I just keep forgetting to cut it off (I have a few different pairs of the Flows that I rotate between).

IMG 9852

Good thing it took me 5 minutes to find a matching sock.  I don’t understand how I lose one sock of almost every pair… I live in an apartment and I really don’t think Brooke is stealing them.  Who knows where they are.

IMG 9853

I woke up and ate breakfast super early this morning so I was more than ready for lunch.  We showed up at Cafe Rio at 10:30 a.m. for a steak salad.  Totally normal.

IMG 9855

After we ate we drove up to Sundance ski resort to go look at the leaves.  There weren’t a ton left but it was still gorgeous out.

We finished up with one of our traditions when we go to Sundance—> get a cookies n creme sucker.

And then we had a bee follow us into the car and I was not okay with that.  I have hated bees with a passion after watching My Girl in 3rd grade.

IMG 9858

We also made a stop on the way home to feed the fish at Bridal Veil Falls.

I always get excited for when my friend Megan (you may know her from the comments section as Megan D and she always leaves hilarious comments) sends me texts because she sends the best stuff, like this one:

So so so true.

What is your next race?!?!  When is it?  Anyone running a halloween themed race?

I’m going to stick with your answers on what freaks me out. I am terrified of snakes. I’m allergic to bees (really anything with a stinger, I’m allergic to) and big spiders. I can deal with small ones. I also really hate grasshoppers. Creep me out.

Swiftwick socks and Feetures are probably my favorites. But socks tend to be my impulse purchase alot. I have a mountain of them.

I am allergic to hazelnuts so no nutella for me. I have had it before and it only makes my throat a little scratchy, so I do have some on occasion, but I don’t do it very often!

NYCM is my next race! 12 days…holy cow…how did that happen?

Sundance is on my list of places that I NEED to go see! Such beautiful pics! What a great tradition!

Reply

AHHHH see I am afraid that I am allergic to bees too (I don’t know if I am because I have never been stung by one).
Okay, I feel so sorry for your allergy to hazelnuts. Boo.
TWELVE DAYS… girl, you are going to love it! Such an incredible race and come out to Utah soon!

Reply

Plan is to run Utah Valley in June! I’m excited!

My arm tripled in size when I got stung a few years ago. It was no fun! I hope you never have to deal with that!

Reply

SERIOUSLY!?!?!? I will be there for sure. We will have to go for froyo after!
Tripled–> not okay!

Reply

Yeah – a month on antibiotics – also not ok!

It’s a froyo (and marathon) date!!

Reply

This is where your socks go Janae :)

BAHAHAHAH I needed this. Hilarious. Thanks Valerie!

Bees are a completely irrational fear of mine!

My favorite socks are Brooks. They’re so cozy! Of course, I’m a sucker for all compression socks too, but only after a run, I feel too constricted by them during the run.

Sundance looks gorgeous! I haven’t been there in years! Maybe next time I make it to Utah!

Reply

You really need to come back soon and we can go to Sundance together! I am glad to hear I am not alone with my bee phobia.

Reply

I love feetures running socks, but they are marked left and right which is confusing in the mornings. Plus, it is hard when you lose them, because with other socks you can match up two “orphans”, but you can’t do that with feetures if you lose 2 left socks and have 2 rights, etc.

Great job on getting back to bodypump! I think it’s hard to do that when you run a whole lot of miles because it’s just crazy hard on your legs to do both workouts. Looks like you and Brooke had an awesome time looking at the leaves too- it’s very beautiful where you live.

Reply

HAHAHA I always put those socks on the wrong feet. I agree about it being hard to do both… this may just be one of those goals that I keep for a few weeks thing;) Hope you are having a great day Amy and come visit Utah!

Reply

I’m terrified of bees and wasps all because of that movie!! I still cry everytime I watch it too! But I’ve never been stung either, so I’m scared of the pain (I’m a wuss) and being allergic.

Reply

Yep. That movie traumatized us.

Reply

I am TERRIFIED of snakes. I’ve got a real big phobia right here! I don’t care for bees or spiders either.
I’ve never been a nutella person, but I’ll eat a whole jar of cookie butter on pretzels!
I don’t have any races lined up right now, but I’m hoping to do a Turkey Trot.

Reply

Okay, now I have to try cookie butter on pretzels, that sounds so so good. Snakes are pretty dang scary.

Reply

cookie butter is good on EVERYTHING

Reply

I’ve only been to Sundance a few times, but it’s beautiful!!
Freaks me out: Loose teeth…like when little kids wiggle it. I’m so weird!
Sock: Swiftwicks all the way!
Nutella: Bread pudding
Next race: The Flying Monkey Marathon in three weeks…eek!

Reply

I have never heard of that fear!! I will make sure to not post a video of Brooke with a loose tooth in the future:) You are going to rock your marathon!

Reply

I’m so afraid of mice ahhh. I love nike anti blister running socks. My next race is a half marathon 6th December but due to hip and back pain my physio said to take a few days off running so haven’t run in 6 days can’t wait to be back running. The pool running and cycling gets boring for me!!!!

Reply

Oh I forgot about mice… add that to my list. I am so sorry about your hip and back pain, hopefully you are feeling better ASAP!

Reply

Thanks Janae hopefully I will get good news on Thursday and be back running. Your photos look amazing I would love to ski there.

Reply

I ran the Haunted Half Marathon in SLC this past Saturday. I wore a Karate Kid headband that I made :) It was fun and the temps were perfect!

I am totally freaked out by the chewy (weird cartilage or fatty pieces) of chicken. Seriously. If I’m eating a chicken salad and I bite into one of those pieces, then it’s game over and I’m done with the salad. Sounds ridiculous, but it totally makes my stomach turn.

Reply

I love that you made a karate kid headband…. so glad you loved the race! Oh, I totally get that chicken thing. My friend found a bone in her piece of chicken in her salad and we almost both passed out because of it.

Reply

What about your friend who found a chicken bone in her crepe? My gag reflex is going just thinking about it.

Reply

One of my favorite memories of you Megan;) That seriously was so awful.

Reply

YES to nutella in ice cream! Love how it kinda solidifies, so good.

I really hate heights, or anything ‘extreme’ if that makes sense, haha. I wouldn’t go skydiving for love nor money!

Reply

Actually not such a fan of Nutella.

In terms of socks, I decided in college that it’s not worth matching them up. If I’m wearing socks, I’m not dressed up anyways, so who cares?
My husband solves this issue by having 90% white socks.

Reply

My favorite running socks are the Smart wool running socks I have never got a blister in them! I love to eat nutella with pretzel sticks, I just dip them in the jar, it is heavenly! I am running in the Haunted Half in Provo this weekend I am so excited I love a good down hill run!

Reply

For running, I really like my SmartWool socks in the winter, not too picky in the summer. I have a half on November 1st–feeling nervous about it!

Reply

I am terribly afraid of spiders. Now that I stay home all day with my son, it’s sort of a problem when I see one. I recently became involved in an epic battle with a HUGE daddy long legs that would NOT die. My heart rate was through the roof the entire time. Ultimately, I won.

Reply

‘You may know her from the comment section!’ Like that is my intro to when I win an award or get my own tv show. Cause that happens. More like you may have seen her comments cause you have to scroll for 10minutes to get passed them. Hmmmm.

I have the same fear of bees for the same reason. My Girl scarred me for life. Talk about a depressing movie for children. Also, I always think of that movie when I hear about or see mood rings. But I would say I am more scared of spiders. Probably because I would ask my dad to kill them for me, which he would, but then he would chase me around with the tissue he killed it in and pretend like it wasn’t dead. Ya, I don’t have to wonder where my issues in life stemmed from.

I love my pro compression socks, but also my adidas ones from Costco.

And nutella is delicious on fortune cookies or vanilla wafers. Also, these cookies I make are one of Ross’ favorite: http://www.ambitiouskitchen.com/2012/09/nutella-stuffed-brown-butter-sea-salt-chocolate-chip-cookies-my-favorite-cookie-ever/ I will have to make them for our next get together. I like that I use my need to bake as a reason to get together. Or is it the other way around? Who knows. Either way it is beautiful thing we have going on and I don’t intend on changing it anytime soon ;)

Reply

Mood rings. Yes. I do too.
Thanks a lot for bringing me some of those cookies.

Also, if you ever stop commenting I don’t know what I will do with my life.

Reply

I really don’t like fish in streams/lakes. They creep me out for some reason. But fish in tanks at the zoo and in people’s homes are okay. Weird, I know.

Reply

Definitely afraid of bees and spiders!

I love Asics running socks but I usually just end up running in whichever matching pair is clean.

For Nutella, I’m definitely an out of the jar kind of girl, nothing better.

As for Fall races…I was supposed to run Marine Corps this weekend in DC but got hurt. I’m doing the Chilly Half in newton in 3 weeks as a make up race and debating running a Santa Hustle in Maine later in November. I have never done a costume race but they look like so much fun :)

Reply

Snakes really freak me out. I keep seeing them on the trails lately. BIG ones too, not the little green ones I usually see. Maybe it’s snake season or something. Does that exist or did I make that up? I also hate most bugs but those thousand legged creepy crawlies are like my worst nightmare.

Fave way to eat nutella? With a spoon.

Reply

I don’t have a favorite way to eat Nutella, because there is no wrong way to eat Nutella.

Reply

I am SO terrified of snakes, it’s not even funny! I even freak out when I see one on TV, it’s quite bad, just something about them really scares me and gives me the creeps and spiders too!! Thinking about it, I’m actually afraid of quite a lot aha :)

I LOVE Nutella, I always have it on waffles, maybe that’s because I’m French and that’s how they’re served over there but that’s the best breakfast in the world!

I can’t get over how breathtaking Utah looks, Brooke is going to love growing up there, it’s beyond beautiful! My mum grew up in Norway and I’m so jealous that she got to grow up with such amazing scenery!!

Reply

Ahhh, that quote is hysterical! And oh so true.

Lizards are my number one critter fear (they are too fast!) and bees come in second. Spiders and snakes don’t really scare me too bad. I mean I’d still prefer not to run into one, but I’d much rather them than a bee or lizard!

Besides my PROcompression socks, I love Feetures! I never ever blister with either of those two brands on my feet!

Reply

Next race…Sunday…RnR Vancouver, BC 1/2!!!!

Reply

AHHHH good luck Aimee!! You are going to rock it. I bet that race will be so beyond beautiful!

Reply

I really like road runner sports house brand of socks.
Totally freaked out by the pitch dark and bees too. Also creepy basements.
I’m running the Dash to the Finish line 5k the day before the NYC marathon. It finishes at the marathon finish. :)
Nutella on cinnamon raisin toast with a cup of coffee. Yes please!

Reply

I hate bees with a passion – I’ve been known to scream and run away. People leave the door open in the staff room and wasps come in – I make people kill them for me…..

NYC Marathon in less than 2 weeks – just finished my last 10 miler. Almost go time!

I don’t really eat Nutella :-(

Reply

It is so heartwarming to see all the experiences you give to Brooke. She is one lucky girl to get to take in all the beauty of Utah! Some parents are understandably reluctant to take their children places because it is a lot of effort (I don’t have kids but some of my friends are complete homebodies just because it is much easier and I can completely understand that). But seeing your effort and the resulting joy is fun to watch.

Reply

That waterfall is absolutely breathtaking!

My favorite way to eat nutella is a good old fashion banana nutella crepe. Ugh so good!

My next race is this weekend- Lake Hodges 50k. Can’t wait for taper to be over! :)

Reply

I MUST try nutella on ice cream! That sounds so incredible :) Brookes are my favorite running shoes! I used to be a Nike girl but after marrying my husband and also reading your blog I made the switch, and I am soooooo glad :) They offer so much support for my high arches!!!

Reply

My daughter and I had a grasshopper jump in the car when we were parked up by a trail head. We jumped out so fast you would have thought it was a bear! Then we argued how we would get it out of the car. So funny!

Reply

What absolutely stunning views!! I am terrified of snakes too. Nutella on everything! But lately I’ve been putting it on the last bunch of strawberries. Next race is a Xmas 5k but this Thursday my running group is apparently having a Halloween themed run! I am going to have go back to the post entry you had of different costume ideas. :)

Reply

the waterfall is gorgeous!

favorite socks BALAGA!!!!! (obsessive for them)

nutella – LOVE it straight out the jar!

FIRST RACE EVER november 9th 10k (or 5k if i dont feel ready).

new blog for running (will be starting up this week)!!!!

love your blog and read it religiously!

That Nutella comment rocks! I’m so using that line. My biggest fear are rattlesnakes. I found one in my garage a few years ago and always felt paranoid they were everywhere after that. In the bed, toilet, bath tub. All the places they never would be probably but somehow I always thought they were. I’m so glad I moved because I never could shake that feeling.

Reply

Bees don’t bother me, but keep nasty wasps away!! That and spiders….yuck!

Don’t hate me, but I’m not really a Nutella fan. Now give me some cookie butter and I will devour that jar, lol.

Just ran Nike Women’s Half yesterday….lots of fun. Next race will prob be a turkey trot, then I have another local half in December.

My favorite running socks are Balega and Thorlo.

I love those pictures at Sundance, how beautiful.

Reply

I’m gonna have to try out all these sock suggestions :)

Reply

You are not the only one afraid of bees. Check out this super funny video of gymnast Simone Biles on the podium. Nothing like finding a bee in your flowers.

Reply

I don’t like seaweed… actually I HATE IT, IT SCARES ME. Years ago I was showing off out in Casco Bay in my kayak when it capsized. As I was getting back in, I felt something wrap around my foot. I screamed, “IT’S GOT ME! IT’S GOT ME!”…it was seaweed.

Next race is 11/1, My first 10K! I am not doing any Halloween races. I should…it’s my fave holiday.

Reply

Favourite eay to eat nutella? Spread it on pancakes and watch other people eat it. I don’t know who, I like watching people eat food commercial style?

And hah, who has time for matching socks?! Get grab a pair and go!

Reply

ha – I loved the movie My Girl! Hated that scene though with the bees. Terrible…Is it weird that I don’t like Nutella? I am a peanut butter all the way kind of girl.

Reply

Something that freaks me out big time: haunted houses and horror movies. Halloween is the worst!

My favorite running socks are Sofsole. They are the perfect fit for me and they don’t give me too bad of blisters.

Favorite way to eat Nutella: Let me count the ways! It is so good on french bread, baguettes, bagels. Also Nutella and strawberries is an almost nightly bedtime snack. Soooo good.

My next race is the Utah Santa Run 5K on November 22 in Salt Lake City! It starts at Gateway mall. Everyone is provided a santa suit so there will be like 600 santas running around SLC. Oh and the volunteers are all dressed as elves, aid stations are milk and cookies, and Christmas music plays through the whole race! I am so excited. Hoping to place in my age group. You should totally run it with me. Or maybe not because then you would beat me :)

Reply

I’m currently into Saucony socks for running.

I am running my second half marathon this weekend ahhh! Halloween themed … just sticking with an orange and black outfit :)

Reply

A bee in the car is one of my worst fears. The worst is when you’re driving and realize one’s been hiding the whole drive!

Reply

The Bridal Veil Falls are AMAZING!

Nutella = I’m a straight from the jar with a spoon kind of girl. Keeping it classy.

Reply

I hate to ruin it but… I hate nutella! I have never met anyone else who feels this way so I may be the only person on earth who does :)

Reply

I will forgive you Erin:)

Reply

Erin — I don’t hate it, but I’m really not a fan. Maybe we can start a nonutella club.

Reply

Doni – great idea! Us nonutella members have to stick together since there aren’t very many of us. Thanks for letting us stick around, Janae, in spite of our shortcomings. :)

Reply

Big bugs freak me out. Don’t like them, not one bit.

I love my Balega running socks. And Feetures.

I made Nutella stuffed chocolate chip muffins a while ago – SO good! Basically nutella needs to be on everything.

My next race is a 5 mile Turkey Trot. I haven’t picked out my next half yet, which makes me feel a little lost.

Reply

Oh man. I did not like My Girl. Saddest movie ever. I still won’t watch it again.

Wow, Brooke has soo much hair! Soo cute!

Love my Pro Compression socks. And that Nutella quote = brilliant!

Reply

Best way to eat Nutella = straight out of the jar.

I’m so impressed you snapped a photo of the bee without losing it. A bung actually stung me on my run the other day when I still was 3 miles out!…talk about a way to get negative splits.

Reply

Snakes definitely are #1 for me and rodents of any kind!!! Spiders I am ok with and just kill them! I am not picky about socks, but I like very short tight thin ones :)

Reply

My favorite running socks are Nike Dri Fit..I lose socks all the time too and I have no idea where they go!
My next race is in 5 weeks- the Philadelphia marathon!

Reply

That waterfall is beautiful! My favorite way to eat Nutella is probably straight out of the jar.

Reply

Love Brooke’s shirt- adorable!! Gabriella will be jealous when she sees it ;)
Nutella on ice cream?! Sign me up. May need to do that tonight. I have both. I think I have a plan :)

Reply

What freaked me out is when you said ‘watching My Girl in the third grade’ because now I really feel old!

Reply

FAVORITE way to eat nutella? That is a mean question–how can I choose?

There is a cafe in DC that serves a Nutella Latte….I have nicknamed it a nutatte. It is delicious but my favorite way is probably just sticking my head in the jar.

Reply

Nutatte. Snort.

Reply

I don’t get that freaked about snakes, bees (been stung about 4 times, no big deal since I’m not allergic), or 8 legged things. But start cranking the leg count up to centipedes and millipedes = major heebie jeebies.

I know I’m totally in the minority…possibly alien…but I have no burning desire for Nutella. The best way I’ve tried it was on carrots. Yeah, I know. Weird.

Running Marshall University Marathon (MUM…hahaha) in 12 days. Woot.

Your pics of Sundance are amazing. Thanks for sharing them. Such a beautiful time of year.

Reply

Brooke’s hair is so adorable in these photos! OMG!

I’m afraid of bees and snakes also! I’m actually really allergic to bees to I always freak out when they don’t seem to want to leave me alone! EEEEKKKK!

Reply

I am so scared of bees it is not even funny.
Balega socks saved me from all the blisters I kept getting.
I love Nutella on anything, but I’ve never tried ice cream! Time to combine my two loves.
I am running the Halloween half in Provo this Saturday. I’m so excited. Weather should be good and it’s my first half post baby #2 so I’m just happy to be getting back out there.

Reply

Ok so I’m kinda of afraid/hate Mosquitos. I’m really allergic and swell up like a beast plus I itch for weeks and I always wonder which one of those blood thirsty suckers (see what I did? A pun :D) will give me West Nile.

Fave way to eat Nutella is with a banana. Seriously you must try this. A close second is on bread with peanut butter…tastes like a Reese’s PB cup :-)

Fave socks….hmmm I struggle here. Ran in Inji for years bc of blisters but even those suckers are giving me blisters. I may have to check out these Feetures other ppl have commented about.

1/2 marathon next month!

Reply

I *always* think of My Girl anytime I see a bee or hear about someone getting stung, too!

I’m absolutely not a fan of bees. And semis freak me out big time as well!

BAHAHA ‘you MUST leave.’ Love it! Thanks Pam!

Reply

I’ll leave those d-tags on for MONTHS, or until the next race. I just always forget! So this last race, I took out my scissors and put them right where I take my shoes off. Pathetic the things I resort too…
My husband is a sock-loser and I made him buy all matching socks.

AHHHH NOOOOOO! That thing was huge and it eats birds?!?!

Reply

I love Body Pump!! I’m slightly biased since I teach it :) I did do it in my living room this morning though :)

I am TERRIFIED of bees…like it could possibly be a legit phobia. I’m not allergic-I was stung a few times as a kid, but they just freak me out!!

In my opinion, nutella is best on pretzels. Something about the sweet and salty…

Next race is the Gilbert Half next month-it’s a brand new race this year and I can’t wait!!

Reply

Mice and snakes = ick!

I really like the C9 premium running socks. I have had the least amount of blisters with them :)

Call me crazy, but I don’t like Nutella at.all.

I don’t plan on running any races until next year, but I’m already starting to get the itch. I’m a nut.

Reply

Girl, I got stung by a yellow jacket on Saturday, and my wrist is still SO swollen and hurts! It’s crazy. So, your fear is totally rational, bee stings are the worst!

Your state is so super pretty. I want to come visit!!

Reply

That’s crazy. I am deathly afraid of bees, snakes and spiders AND I also had a bee try to kill me in my car today. Luckily, I was not driving. Hope you weren’t EITHER! :)

Reply

I think I’m gonna brave a Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving this year. Wish me luck – I’ve never done an outdoor race in the snow!

Reply

Something that freaks me out: rodents of all shape and size, especially mice!
Socks: balega! Have tried many different kinds and have not gotten any blisters from them.
Favorite way to eat Nutella: on pretzel crisps
Next Race: 5 miler on 12/13/14

Janae, thank you so much for your blog. Your positive energy, commitment to fitness, and honesty are wonderful! Life can make it so hard to act with grace, and you are rocking it girl!! Thanks again :)

Hey!! Thank you so much! I really appreciate your comment:)

Reply

So weird that you wrote about bees today. My oldest got stung by a yellow jacket six times today. Good news – he isn’t allergic. Bad news – those suckers pack a punch! I felt soooo bad for him!

My favorite socks have a hole in the bottom of them. I have been using a pack I picked up at Target on impulse and so far I really like them. No races on the calendar but I will probably run a Christmas race and hope to do a half this spring. That Brooke is a cutie!

Reply

Balegas!

Nutella on strawberries!

My next race is the Marine Corps Marathon, if my tendinitis doesn’t sideline me.

Reply

Spiders freak me out the most! I actually jumped up on the kitchen counters last week because I stepped on a wolf spider on the floor…I broke out in a cold sweat and ran out of there so fast!!

My fave running socks are lululemon. They’re pricey, but they are seriously the best running socks I’ve ever worn!

Reply

While I would DEFINITELY SERIOUSLY NOT be cool with a bee hitching a ride inside my car, I find bees really fascinating. Have you ever read The Secret Life of Bees? Its one of my favorite novels of all time, and it might help counter your My Girl memories!

Reply

I’m really terrified of seeing things at the bottom of deep water. Doesn’t matter if I’m standing on the bank or wherever, freaks. me. out. Also moths.
Next race is the Seattle Marathon in 5.5 weeks!
And Balega are my favorite running socks :D

Reply

Ants, I don’t do ants – yeck!! Traumatic ant experience in preschool. I can handle one or two, but when there’s s bunch, it’s like kryptonite!

I’ve never had Nutella – am I the only one?

Reply

Snakes are just so wrong. I hate how they move, it’s just bizarre.

I could eat truckloads of nutella.

Coming up in November I have a local half marathon and then I’m off to Vegas!!

Reply

I can’t even buy nutella- I just eat it from the jar with a spoon, and its gone in no time. I love thorlo experientia running socks, followed by smartwool phd lightweight running socks. I also really like my smartwool phd compression socks.

I’m running a marathon at the end of November, and I think lots of people run this particular race in costume…I’m still undecided on that…

Reply

So many amazing places to visit in Utah! I’m so jealous! And they all seem to be on your doorstep!

Reply

Socks – my tip is to buy a bunch of the same running socks (same colour, same everytning) so if thy start to go missing one-by-one you can still compose a pair that look the same :)

But this just might be my thing – if I find something that works for me (hair products, tank tops etc.) I just keep buying those. Extremely loyal to my favourites :)

Reply

I totally had a bee in my car the other day too! It sat on my gear shift for a while (luckily the car is an automatic) then if fluttered in front of my face for a second or two.. while I was driving. That was not fun!! Contorting bodies freak me out the most! And cave crickets..

1/2 Nutella + 1/2 peanut butter on a waffle w/ sliced banana… try it!

Reply

Cockroaches freak me out really bad. They’re so gross!!
No Halloween races for me, I’m running a Turkey Trot in November, though. Excited!

I’m freaked out by any bug that dares come into my apartment. I don’t bother them, why do they have to bother me? :)
My favorite running socks are Feetures! (but I’ve also never tried any others)
Nutella Crepes. End of story.
Next race is the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure this next Saturday! I’m very excited to get all pink-ed out and run for a great cause!

Reply

I visited Utah (Park City) last week for the first time and it was absolutely gorgeous! You are so lucky to live in such a beautiful place!

Reply

I am terrified of snakes. My husband killed a rattlesnake in our yard Sunday when we were cleaning up, and I seriously hyperventilated.

Nutella is great on waffles and just straight out of the jar :) I haven’t tried it on ice cream, but I definitely will! I try not to buy it to avoid the temptation.

I have a half marathon coming up Saturday. My 2nd one! Going to try for under 2 hours!

Reply

Cockroaches irrationally freak me out. I will literally run away from them screaming and ask my 5-year-old to please get some TP and flush the dang thing if my husband is not around to take care of it. Luckily he humors me and just thinks mommy is silly, not ridiculous and wimpy.

The ProCompression low trainers are my favorite, favorite. I wish I could invest in more, but they last FOREVER and haven’t shown the least sign of wear in 2+ years, so no excuse to shop ;-)

Nutella on one side, PB on the other, smoosh the English Muffin back together.

My next race is the Soldier Marathon in less than 3 weeks – taper time! I’m really looking forward to it because I got my half marathon PR there last year and I loved the course, the atmosphere, and the motivation of so many soldiers present and so many runners running in honor of fallen soldiers. Plus, November in northern Georgia is quite beautiful and tends to have perfect race weather.

Reply

Haha ‘My Girl’ is pretty much the reason I hate bees as well! That movie traumatized me and of course I’m still terrified of bees/wasps to this day.

When I was in Paris I would eat crepes with Nutella multiple times a day. They were sold everywhere by street vendors! It’s dangerous I tell ya…

Happy Tuesday!

Haha I love the Nutella meme! What a fun fall day!

Mice! I absolutely don’t do nice or anything that resembles a mouse-I’m looking at you hamster. It has been so long since I’ve had Nutella. I Like but butters just a little bit more.

My dad was a beekeeper, so I grew up getting stung a lot. I even got stung on the bottom of my foot once and went inside to put socks and shoes on before I told them so that I wouldn’t get in trouble for going barefoot in the yard – again! But the yummy, fresh honey was so worth it!
My next race is Nov 23rd. I foolishly signed up for a half that I am so not prepared for. Your posts are inspiring though and keep me motivated, thank you!

I hate snakes, in fact just had a very disturbing dream about them last night I had forgotten until now lol!

I have two favorite running socks Powered by Thorlo Pads and my other favorite pair are all in the wash currently so I cannot confirm them for you right now…but I won’t run in anything different than these two brands :)

I have never tried Nutella as both my little guys have nut allergies, one more severe than the other who needs epi pen…which totally sucks because I LOVE almond butter & actually have a jar hidden high in pantry that I only dive into when boys are at school or asleep…I’ve also discovered those Justin’s single packs which are great to have immediately after or even before a run.

I have the Run Like Hell 1/2 on Sunday in Portland, Or…done it the last 2 years, love it its a fun costume themed run & they give you not one but two Lagunitas draft beers after race…ummmmm yes please! Of course there’s water too ;)
