Here are the pictures from our Saturday! It is kind of weird to me that I used to live here because it feels like that was a lifetime ago… So it has been fun playing tourist and trying every donut with 80 miles of where we are staying.
I will have my computer again soon and back to normal blogging:) enjoy the rest of your weekend!
How many different states have you lived in?
Favorite donut type or donut shop?!?
What is your mood right now?

Just ran my first half marathon (the Lady’s Queen Bee in Cincinnati) and just before I did I read the Lauren Fleshman article that you recommended. Made all the difference. Thank you!
Becky @ Olives n Wine
All of those tasty food photos <3 And I've lived in 6 different states. As for donuts, plain ol' cake donuts with chocolate frosting and sprinkles are my favorite :)
Leigha @ The Yooper Girl
I’ve lived in plain old Michigan my whole life! Some day I hope to live in California… it seems beautiful. Favorite doughnut is a regular honey dip but I think I’m going to make some apple cider doughnuts today!
Hollie
Donut crawl and an eye brow bar. Now if you added 10,000 emoji’s this post would be written for me. It looks and sounds like you are having a great time! I’m glad to hear that :-)
Katie @ Peace Love & Oats
I’ve been on that same trail in San Francisco! One of my best friends lives there!
Livi @ Eat, Pray, Work it Out
I love SF! I want to go back!!
Michele @ paleorunningmomma
Donut crawl is hysterical! I used to love any donut filled with any type of cream. My kids love jelly filled ones. Looks like such a fun time :)
Kristina @ Blog About Running
It looks like you’re having so much fun with your girlfriends – those kind of trips are the best!
My mood/feeling today is that it is a lot easier to track my friends running a marathon than it is to run it myself ;-) haha. It feels good to be tracking them with my legs up! I did go for my first post-marathon run yesterday and that felt really good. Only two miles but it was nice to be back at it a little!
Lisa @ Running Out Of Wine
All that food looks great! I have lived in 2 states: NY and MD. My mood right now is tired. It’s a lazy Sunday over here!
Ally Turner
All of those food pictures is making me so hungry! My favorite donut has chocolate and sprinkles. My mood today is rested! I feel ready to take on the new week!
Daisy @ Fit Wanderlust Runner
I am glad you are having a great time with your girlfriends. I have only lived in CA and Mexico. I once thought I wanted to move to Boston but my husband hates the cold so he ruled that move out. I want to try moving to Oregon or Washington one day. I don’t know why but I am beyond exhausted! Every inch of me has no energy so I missed my run this morning. :(
Karin
I have lived in Utah pretty much my whole life with a brief stint in Connecticut when I was a kid (don’t even remember it).
Favorite donut is the old-fashioned buttermilk with a cold glass of chocolate milk. Favorite donut shop right now is the Lehi bakery.
meredith @ The Cookie ChRUNicles
I have only ever lived in NY but sometimes think about Florida for the warm weather…Donuts aren’t my thing but I can talk the best chocolate cakes, cookies, brownies and ice cream any day.
chelsea
I don’t know if the donuts or salad look better! Apple cider donuts are my favorite- a New England specialty. I’ve lived in three states and four countries- too much moving!
Megan @ Skinny Fitalicious
I lived in Tucson ten years before moving to Phoenix. I haven’t gone back yet and always wondered what it would feel like after living there for so long. Hope you let us know how you felt. Enjoy your Sunday!
Marissa @ Run Riss Run
I’ve only lived in 1 state, but I’ve visited about 20 :)
My fav donut is from Top Pot Donut in Seattle, the Pumpkin Old Fashion, yum!
My boys are getting baptized today and we’re celebrating the middle’s bday at a sandwich and ice cream place. So, I am super excited for today!
Dee
The brow bar is totally my go-to brow place and always get complimented on my brows. It’s pretty much the magic shop.
I’ve lived in 4 different states, and have had my share of doughnuts. I am a huge fan of Top Pot in Seattle where I live — the salted caramel chcool ate is my favorite — and Voodoo Doughnut in Portland.
Have fun the rest of the weekend!
Jasmine @ a cupcake for my thoughts
Looks like you’re having a fab time! I’m from England but I lived in Chicago for 5 years!! I’m back in England now (have been for two years since my parents separated) and every time I go back it also feels like a lifetime ago since I lived there, even though it’s only been two years!!
Linda @ Fit Fed and Happy
If you live in Canada, you’d be familiar with the shop, Tim hortons. Their best donut that I’ve tasted so far is the honey cruller! Absolutely one of the worst for you but obviously, their best doughnut. It’s made with eggs and flour, deep fried then glazed in honey. I guess I love something about eggs that that one is my favourite flavour out of all the othwr ones(strawberry, chocolate, Boston cream, jelly, etc).
I have only ever lived in Canada and China, and I’ve never visited the states but I might visit in January for my audition into a few ist secondary schools. Of course it’ll have to be close to canada, so state farther than new York!
Michelle W
6 states total, but now we’re settled in Texas for the long-haul (though I dream of moving back to Florida!!).
Kristen @ Glitter and Dust
I’ve lived in Oregon, Alaska, and Texas. Lots of variety for sure, but Oregon will always have my heart. I don’t eat donuts very often, but when I do I love a good apple fritter or a something with maple :)
Leah (goodnight, cheese)
In that photo your eyes are to the camera, but your peripheral vision and real focus is on the donuts. It’s great.
Ashley @ A Lady Goes West
Hi there! I’m new to HRG! I learned about your blog from Kimmy, who just happens to be photographed above. She and I met through teaching BODYPUMP. So glad to start following your adventures. I’m in San Francisco and moved here two years ago from Orlando, Florida. I LOVE IT!
melvie
Gracious, girl…do you not know any regular plain jane people?! All of your friends and family are GORGEOUS!
Michele
Where is Bangs?!
Jean
I agree with Melvie, you are all gorgeous, I was thinking the same thing!
I grew up in Alaska and lived in some other northwestern states before settling in San Diego. So much I miss about Alaska, but so much to be grateful for here.
January
I have lived in 3 states: Ohio, New York, and California
Favorite Donut is Pumpkin
Current mood: Relaxed. :)
carolee
I have lived in 2 states. I grew up in Connecticut & have lived in NJ for the past 18 years.
Current mood is happy because I ran a half marathon, had a PR & placed 2nd in my as get group!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend with your friends! You all look fabulous!
Rachel @ Blonde with a Chanse
Looks like fun!!! I have lived in 8 different states and more houses than I’d like to count! Right now I’m missing my family :( I wish we all lived in the same place.
tess
Hmm. I’ve lived in ::counting:: five states. And two countries.
A tame life for a military wife.
I love the donuts with the frosting on the inside and chocolate topping.
None of which I can have.
But there’s plenty of gluten free delicious out there, I’m sure of it. I just have to find it. :)
Amy N.
Looks like you’re having an amazing time!
Christina
Omgosh I want that salad now!!!! Ran a PR half marathon for me today! Finished in 1:51….I am happy! I was hoping to get sub 2 hour then decided I’m just gonna see what happens and go by feel rather than time and push myself. And that’s what happened:)
The Hungry Runner Girl
Ahhhhhh huge congrats Christina! That is so so so awesome!
Alisha @ Real Girl Running
Oh, I NEED some of the Ghiradelli Mint Cookie chocolate! I haven’t seen that flavour in Australia yet … YUM!!
Right now, I feel tired. I went to bed way too late for me, and slept in instead of getting up to exercise = doubly tired day.
LeAnne @ This is my faster!
I’m not a big donut girl (I know those words might be forbidden here) but of all the ones I’ve had (4 or 5 different brands) Krispy Kreme stands out as the best. I’m in a great mood thanks to being able to complete my LR today and therefore feeling better about the half marathon I signed up for next month :)
Lindsey @ SimplyLindsey
I’ve lived in 2 states: VA and now NC! Dunkin Donuts is my favorite donut shop and I always get 1 chocolate frosted and 1 glazed donut every single time. They’re the best! :)
Nikki @will run for pizza
My favorite donut places are: Schneiders bakery right here in my town & Patterson’s apple farm where my sister lives – about 2.5 hours away. Love the cream filled, pumpkin cake, maple, blueberry cake, & apple cider! Mmmmm donuts! My mood? Relaxed due to the wine im drinking, but my marathon next Sunday is constantly in the back of my mind lately….
Jennifer
I’ve always lived in TN.
I LOVE chocolate covered glazed donuts!
I’m still on a post-race high in Chicago :)
The Hungry Runner Girl
Congrats!!!!!!
Danica @ It's Progression
I *just* moved to the SF bay area (Berkeley) a few weeks ago! I hope you’re having a great time!!
gracekelle at leangirlsclub
Those donuts look AMAZING! Hope you had a great time in SF – it’s one of my favorite cities outside of NYC with some great people and great food.
Allie
Hope you’re having fun in SF! I recently moved here and had the most amazing apple fritter at Bob’s donuts…I see that you hit that up, so I hope you were able to get one :-)
Katie@Run Wild in Alaska
Lived in Alaska, California, and Utah. Now (obviously) we’re back up in Alaska.
Fave donuts are old fashioned – love the sort of crispy edges.
Mood is determined to get back on track with eating and exercise this week now that I’m back to running!

When someone writes an paragraph he/she maintains the idea of a
user in his/her mind that how a user can know
it. So that’s why this paragraph is perfect. Thanks!
Anne
That mint cookie chocolate bar looks amazing!
I like a boston creme donut the best, but I’ll eat pretty much any kind.
I have lived in three states, but also three different countries, thanks to my husbands job. In the 2.3 years my daughter has been alive she has lived in two different US cities/states, and 3 countries on three different continents. She’ll have some great stories to tell when she’s older (that is if she remembers all of the excitement!)
Lisa @ Exercise eat repeat
That chocolate looks soooooooo good!
Lauren @ The Foodie Runner
I’ve lived in there different states and two different countries (if studying abroad counts!)
And i ran Chicago yesterday so my current mood is sore, tired and hungry! Haha
Monica
Can’t wait to hear more about your weekend!!! :)
cait @pieceofcait
mmm all these food pics! I just had a pumpkin donut from dunkin!
Ashley
I’m team apple fritter, I love Donut Hut in Burbank, CA but when I’m on the west side of LA DK’s Donuts has some really fun options and they do a lot of hybrids.
Monica
As an adult I’ve lived in 4 different states (we moved a lot when I was very little). Louisiana, California, Florida, Ohio.
My fav donut is chocolate glazed, my favorite donut shop is Southern Maid Donuts in Shreveport, LA-BEST EVER!
Kate
If only your sister was having a girl! I have been sewing these all morning and they are making me hungry!

ive only ever lived in one state and don’t plan on moving. Sure there are other places that would be fun to live in for awhile but I really enjoy being close to my family and don’t think I could live so far away that I couldn’t see them whenever I wanted to.
Kay
Mmm, everything looks delicious!
