I’m running a half marathon today with 7 of my friends! It should be fun but mainly because we have plans for a huge brunch after! (<I run for food!)

My middle name is Ann after my Nana :)

Son’s football game, short recovery run after yesterday’s long run and an Irish festival. Needs to warm up and stop raining!

I have a longish run scheduled for today (seven miles) and I’m baking cupcakes. Tomorrow is football, so I never plan anything! :)

I don’t have a middle name. Sad, I know!

Enjoy your weekend!

morning run with some friends and then up to Winter Park for the afternoon. I also need to do grown up things like laundry and buy food at some point…

middle name: Christine

It’s also been jacket weather here – yesterday I actually wore a long sleeve shirt, jacket and long tights on my run. This should not be happening in September.

Reply

My best friend is up in Winter Park right now. Says it is absolutely spectacular & the leaves are starting to change. I need to get up there soon!!

Reply

At least you can get some good runs on the trails in? Sorry you have to leave Brooke this weekend. I hope your marathon training is going well. That salad looks really good, I’ve been craving avocado lately myself.

This weekend I’m just working. Same ole, same ole.

Reply

I don’t have a middle name! I work today but tomorrow is a sleep in and run day :)

Reply

Lee. This weekend I’m doing a walk with other bloggers then my first accupuncture experience. Eek! I’m scared. I wish it were jacket weather here. It’s still crazy hot in AZ.

Reply

My middle name is Leigh.
I CAN”T believe you won that stuffed animal! My kids are always asking if they can play that machine and I always say that it is rigged so no one will ever win :). I tell them it would be cheaper for them to buy a stuffed animal then play till they win one :).
I get a nice easy run today after yesterday’s 20 miler!!!

Reply

I hope you have a relaxing weekend

Reply

My middle name is Ann.
I am packing today for my trip next week. I head out to Arizona first to visit cousins and then to San Francisco for Ragnar napa! I am running 6 legs covering 29.5 miles. That’s a lot of running clothes to pack :)

Yay for scoring that stuffed toy!!!

Reply

Oh, wow, we have Pastels on 5th Street in our town this weekend! Same concept.
Just completed 4.4 miles + yoga. Onto nephew’s soccer game then CSU football game with my husband (go Rams). Kind of feels like it’s gonna be a great day!

…and middle name = Kathryn.

I think jacket weather is perfect weather for running, are you kidding! Your body temperature balances out the cold air and I feel faster in the cold than I do in humidity.

Good post. I learn something totally new and challenging on sites I stumbleupon everyday.
It will always be useful to read through articles from other writers and use something from their web sites.

A long (to me) run
Coffee with a friend
Bake something, but I have to decide what first.

Reply

Haha, I can totally get behind your idea of a balanced diet!
Today, I have work and then a quick gym session planned! And then some quality time with Netflix naturally :)

Reply

Jacket weather is seriously throwing me off too. It’s not allowed to come until 9/21 officially, so I think we need to talk to someone about this and see what the heck is going on.

My middle name is Alisa. I’m named after a soap opera actress and Alyssa Milano. That’s what happens when your mom is passed out and your dad names you after people he thinks are pretty.

Reply

Hilarious. You have a beautiful name and I think there are far worse people to be named after. Alyssa Milano seems like a decent person.

Reply

I’ve never gotten a stuffed animal with a “claw machine”! So cool! My middle name is Alanna and today we’re tackling some to dos before hanging out with my bro-in-law who is in town! Happy Saturday! :)

Saturday plans – short workout and going to Starbucks to do some work with the husband. Middle name – Lynne. She wanted my middle name to be Leigh, but didn’t want people to think ‘Sara Lee’. Good call, mom, good call.

Going out to dinner with my best friend, haven’t seen her since school started again, so I’m super excited for that!! That salad looks really delicious, I’m going to try making a turkey burger next week! My middle name is Mary Jeanne, don’t really like it but it could be a lot worse! Have a great rest of your weekend! :)

My middle name is Ruth, after my great-grandmother. I hated it all through my youth but now that I’m an old lady of 40, I kind of dig it :) Actually, my husband and I carried the tradition on and made our girls’ middle names their great-grandmothers’ names…Rose and Hazel.

Just finished 10 “test” miles to see how my knee will hold up to a little distance post-injury…Still hoping to go for 20 this week to try and salvage my Oct. marathon. Fingers crossed! For now, it’s time to bundle up and head to my girls’ soccer games…Brrr!!!

Reply

Such a great middle name…I’ve got the same!

Already got an awesome trail run in this morning, now I’m thinking about second breakfast and what I want to make for dinner. That’s pretty much all the planning I’ve done for the day!

My middle name is Kathleen, which I think only works as part of my full name, but I like it because my grandma who died a few months before I was born helped pick it out.

Reply

My middle name is Louise. I hated it growing up and then I kept it when I got married and could have changed it.

My favorite thing this week is that I started running again, after 2 solid months off. I’m slow, but I’m doing it.

Odd spelling because my dad filled out my birth certificate and didn’t know how to spell it. :)

This morning my youngest daughter and I are sitting together in our PJs, reading, and enjoying our morning coffee. She’s a PNW girl. Coffee is in her blood. Next we are heading to the library, a hike, and then to a festival with both daughters and a friend to get a piece of pie each before working the late shift at our church’s famous burger booth. There are seriously two lines down the block from open to close for our burgers!

Reply

Middle name is Marie, named Mary my grandma. But Karin Mary sounds like a nun so my parents modified it. I gave my daughter my middle name to carry on the tradition.
10 miler under my belt today. Planning a second breakfast to get blueberry pancakes at cracker barrel and then going to Oktoberfest with the fam at Snowbird. Then I’m sure I’ll crash by 6.

this is a great post. I love hearing all the names! As one of your older readers, I have a very old fashioned name. I was named after both Grandmothers (apparently this is popular). My first name is Teresa (My mom’s mom was Theresa but she hated it spelled that way and said “if you insist on naming her that, at least take out the “h”. It’s so old fashioned!”) and my middle name is Fern. I was tormented in school for that name but my grandmother was SO proud I was named for her I couldn’t complain.

Saturday is almost over but I ran 7 miles this morning after a week off and I feel good. Spent the afternoon in jammies and went out for salad later. Now getting ready to take the plunge and buy a new pair of Altras that are smoking good deal on Amazon!
