I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own blog and was wondering what
all is needed to get set up? I’m assuming having a blog like yours would
cost a pretty penny? I’m not very web smart
so I’m not 100% certain. Any recommendations or
advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I love the paper chain countdown!!! I used to do those in college

Hey! We went to that same patch a few weeks ago. The old man that runs it is the nicest! We loved it! Hope you had fun too!

I’m in the midst of running Ragnar napa! Ran 3 legs so far and have 3 more in the morning. So that’s my long run :) 29.5 total for the relay.

Happy weekend!

My back is still playing up, so for now it’s just yoga and trying to rest before I have a race next Sunday! Good luck on your long run! Those raspberries look so yummy :) Finishing all my homework and then going to the movies with my mum tonight, haven’t been to see one in forever!! Have a great weekend :)

So exciting. I have never been raspberry picking. I’ve been blueberry and strawberry though. What an adorable idea to do the paper chains. I’ve never seen that before but it’s adorable.

I feel like everytime you ask for saturday plans I say I’m working but then again, I’ve worked every Saturday this month haha. Luckily that won’t be the case next month.

I’m taking the RRCA course this weekend.
I hope you have a great run!

20 miles today! that’s why i’m awake and reading this at 5:15 am! haha

Side note: Your hair is ALWAYS gorgeous!

My Daddio got into town last night from Texas, yay! Harry is taking him to a Cubs game, and I’m going to treat myself to a pedi. <3 Tomorrow is my last 20+ miler before the Chicago marathon. Running a supported 20-miler along the Lakefront should be pretty boss.

Reply

Talk to me about getting a pedicure before your long run. I always wait until after my races, because of all my (earned!) calluses… I’m afraid they’ll scrape them off! Does it seem to make a difference to you?

Reply

To be honest, I’ve fallen out of the habit of getting my feetsies worked on regularly. I haven’t had a pedi in probably three months or so, and my toes just looked sooooooo awful, with so many callouses and blister-buildup around my toenails. I just had to get them cleaned. I asked the lady not to scrub the bottoms of my feet too much, as I like my callous-padding, too.

You went to a pick your own farm! Aww. Is it rasperberry season already? The last time we went it was major peach season.

Reply

I do, actually, have a long run today. I am now 14 weeks post-op on my hip, and I am in the process of reducing or eliminating all walking breaks. The weather is going to be under 80 today and I might do a whopping 8 miles and I am thrilled!

Reply

My husband, sister and I are taking my boys to an apple fest at a local winery. They have a ton of fun things for the kids like pony rides and hay rack rides.

I’m doing my long run tomorrow since my toe has bothered me on my last two runs. Going to ice it an extra day.

Love the pic of Brooke in her Minnie ears standing next to your Disney count down. My husband and I are visiting CA next weekend for a little vacation. Isn’t having a vacation to look forward to the best!

Reply

Brooke is the absolute sweetest baby ever. You’re looking pretty skinny though, are you ok? Genuinely not trying to be rude, I’ve just come back from a nasty bout of Mono and I know what it’s like.

Reply

No long run today but a half marathon tomorrow. Unfortunately I just came down with a cold and I’m not looking forward to it at all, but still planning to do it. It’ll just have to be a lot slower than I wanted.

Reply

Same here! Think I will bail on the half. Woke up with aches, cold and fever. ugh… rest up.

Today is an 11 mile long run @ pace with the hubs. We’ve been adding more speed during the week to help him get to his goal pace for our race in 2 wks and he kicked butt today! Then we have a x-country meet for our high school that we teach at, then the fair, and date night watching The Great Debate because I’ll be teaching it next week.

Love picking berries. My grandparents and I would pick berries all the time when I was growing up and my grandma always made the best desserts out of them. So fun.

My husband had surgery a couple days ago, so I am on nurse duty 24/7… which means today we will be watching a lot of football. Hopefully I can sneak out for a run at some point. :)

Woke up with my “back to school” cold. Aches, fever and sore throat. Supposed to do a half tomorrow. Think I am bailing. Will find another one soon. :(
I use the countdown chains in my classroom with 20 days of school to go. Kids love it!

Ugh, the annual back-to-school cold. Just to make things interesting, whooping cough is going around here. So I am trying to stave off the back-to-school cold and really hoping my vaccine does its thing against whooping cough.

Hope you feel better soon.

I did 6.4 miles this morning which is on the longer end of average for me. I’m planning to do 11 tomorrow or Monday – my first half marathon (SoJo Half in south Jordan) is 4 weeks from today!! :)

Raspberries are one of my favorite things to eat. Yours look so yummy!

Side note: I saw an ad for Starburst flavored Candy Corn. No lie. I’m not sure how I feel about that but I may have to try them in order to form a proper opinion.

Does walking a mile there and back to a soccer game with a newborn and toddler in tow count as a long run? Because, mentally, it seemed very long. :)

Reply

Mmm those raspberries look so good – they’re my favourite summer fruit! This weekend is off from running :(

Oh my goodness the size and colour of those vibrant orange huge pumpkins, and the raspberries yummmmmmo.
