This morning was insane. Jess and I could not believe the sunrise and I almost tripped over ten rocks because I couldn’t take my eyes off of how gorgeous it was outside. We went trail running early this morning so that the day could be 100% Brooke celebrations once she woke up and I am glad we did because I would have been so sad to miss this view.
(From my Instagram)
I came back to my mom’s house and once Brooke woke up she had her phone call with her dad so I did two more miles on the treadmill and ended with my one legged squats and planks. If you want to make planks feel better then I recommend doing them with your face directly in front of a fan.
For my planks I like to do 2 minutes in a normal plank (on my elbows) position, 1 minute of side planks on each side and then I finish up with 1 minute back in the center for a total of 5 minutes. I am always shaking like crazy by the end.
One of Brooke’s birthday presents this year is a year pass to Thanksgiving Point. That means unlimited pony rides, petting zoos and the coolest museums ever for kids. This will be the best thing that has ever happened to us especially during the winter when it is 2 degrees outside and we need fun things to go do.
We came and did the same thing on her first birthday:
I’ll let the rest of the million pictures do the talking because while Brooke naps I’ve got cupcakes to make and presents to put together!
Feel free to wish Brooke happy birthday and I will read all of the birthday wishes out loud to her! Have a phenomenal Monday!
