She is pretty stoked about them.

I wear these babies all of the time.  Racing, before a race, after a race, after a hard workout and sometimes even to bed (I know, I really need to tone it down).   Mainly I love them because I really think that they help with my recovery time.  They help to improve the blood flow which helps deliver nutrients to the muscles and remove the toxins.

Plus they look awesome.

And a flashback to when Brooke was just itty bitty.  She has grown up with PRO Compression all around her.

Ah yay! I love Pro Compresion, I wear mine all the time :) I had a fun birthday weekend…we went out for alcoholic milkshakes and pizza (and my husband had a bacon shake!) and had game night all night which is always my favorite. Then we went out for breakfast cookies after my Sunday run!

Ooo silver, I must be up late. My weekend was pretty good. Saw the Book Thief and ran both days. It was raining so blobbed around inside. Much better than the Monday I’m having. Love those socks!

Brooke looks like a natural.

This weekend was pizza, Menchie’s froyoy and an 11 miler. That and a growing belly (and not just cause the pizza and ice cre trend)

I love Brooke’s sleeves, I love that they make workout wear for little ones.

Ok, cutest things ever on Brooke! She’s going to be an amazing runner, just like her Mom:)

My weekend included migraines, weekly food prep, more migraines, and weirdly painful body lower body. I’m taking a couple of extra non-running days to he fully give my legs time to get over whatever their issue is.

My weekend was a great movie – The Book Thief and lots of exercises from the physio from my big injury. A full rupture to the ACL and complex tear to the meniscus in my right knee. Have been off work for 5 weeks but finally getting operated in mid March.

No running :( actually not much of any exercise and it’s killing me. Recovery after op is 3 months so still a long road ahead. Living through your runs and all your awesome followers comments :)

I had a great weekend! Saturday I was productive and Sunday I was lazy, which I think is the perfect combination. Sunday I went down to the beach for lunch. It was SO crowded with spring breakers though. Every year it makes me feel so old that I don’t get a spring break anymore and that I don’t even remember it’s spring break time until all the college kids are in town! haha

Weekend was great! Went on a running shoe shopping spree (and bought a jacket and a vest)… $500 later… I’m all set. For a little while :)

Our doggy baby met all my friend’s kiddos this weekend and he was a peach. That made me happy :)

I LOVE pro compression! I hope you had a nice weekend friend! I did a 20 miler and ate a lot of pizza and ice cream. :-) I’m off today because of a snow storm, yay!

Reply

This weekend I baked everything in the entire kitchen, went on a 6 mile run, did a 30 minute kettlebell workout, and drowned in schoolwork. In other words, it was a success.

It is snowing here AGAIN!!!! I can usually get myself to have a good attitude but this is crazy!
My girls had 6 friends spend the night on Friday….fun!!!!!

I love little baby sports wear! I was going to mention it to you a while back when you said you started journaling again. I journal for myself but I also have a journal to each of my kids. I write in it everyday about something they did, how I felt, and maybe even tape in a picture of them. Some people do this on the computer but I like that they will see my handwriting. Just an idea for you!

I love Brooke in her Pro Compressions! Pro Compressions are my BF!!! I wore my black argyles in the Hypothermic 1/2 Marathon here in Nova Scotia yesterday! 1:39:15 :D

This weekend I spent a ton of time on my running trail and even more time on my boat. It was beautiful and sunny and the fishing was great. I got a bit of a sunburn but I’ll take it ;)

Brookes little running outfit is adorable and the sleeves just cracked me up!

SO glad to be in Florida visiting family…as I watch the snow falling from afar in DC (home).

I totally want to enter this!! And I had no idea they made running sleeves for kids, that is awesome!! I just studied this weekend haha so exciting. Although, fun fact, when I fall asleep at night I’m going over the bones (in my head), and when I wake up I’m going over the bones (in my head) haha

Nothing wrong with starting them out young. Well this weekend was jam packed with cool stuff. My Fiance ran in the Phoenix Marathon and completed her first half marathon, I was so proud of her. I spend the day driving around pit crewing for her every two miles. Then I woke up early Sunday morning and knocked out my first 8 mile run, beginning the training process for my own half marathon. Super busy but super productive.

Oh my, those sleeves on Brooke are almost too cute! You definitely make cute babies!

Random, but I ate a Balut this weekend when I was running an amazing race type thing with the husband. My arm and shoulder are still super sore from running back and forth with a five gallon bucket of water.

I went out for my sister’s birthday to a mongolian grill and then over to the mall to look at local kids artwork. it was a fun saturday!

sunday i took my nephew on an 1hr walk and watched him play outside for awhile. it had just rained the day before so it was so beautiful. later i went on a 4 mile run down the muddy alleys of my neighborhood which was fun:)

i kind of watched the Oscars and saw the most important parts: the beginning and the last few awards, lol!

That picture of little Brook in-between your legs is just precious!

Hmmm, I went for a great 9.5 mile treadmill run on Friday (it is tooo cold in Omaha for outdoor running – below zero is just TOO cold) and played with my friends’ children most of the rest of the weekend. A perfect weekend in O-Town, I’d say!

Reply

Awww love Brooke’s sleeves! They are SO her! I worked all weekend and this is my first day off in over 7 days…SO this is more like my weekend than the past 3 days. That’s OK though! I plan to enjoy every minute today and play catch up.

Reply

My weekend was packed with work! Which I LOVE my job so it was totally okay! Helping people with running shoes makes my day! And I finished it with the Oscars!

Reply

Brooke in those sleeves! I die!

This weekend was pretty low key, but I did end up going out to brunch with a friend, so that got me out of the house for a while.

Reply

What an awesome giveaway! I love Pro Compression marathon socks! They are awesome and right now dual purpose, keeping my legs warm in the cold.
This weekend was pretty quiet, which I liked. Needed some rest time.

Reply

Hooray for giveaways!

This weekend I did my long runs on a treadmill at the gym because it was POURING rain in SoCal. I went to a wedding reception and had the most amazing red velvet cupcake with cream cheese frosting. And my husband and I started watching Heroes on Netflix. Not sure what I think yet. But I’m running out of good shows to binge on. So if you have any suggestions…

Thursday night my friend and I went out for pork burgers (is this just an Iowa thing?) and fro yo (cinnamon roll, pistachio, mango sorbet and dulce de leche- 8 of those ounces were free!)
Visited my parents and ate an obscene amount of salmon, broccoli salad and my mom’s homemade fresh strawberry pie. Started reading Run! by Dean Karnazes and wrote a lit paper about running

My weekend was bittersweet. My son turned 17 years old on Saturday, which blows my freakin’ mind. It seems like just yesterday he was as young as your adorable little Brooke! (LOVE her sleeves btw!) I’m so proud of the young man he has become. We’ve come a long way together! (I plan to blog about our journey soon, so check it out in the next couple days)

But, on the flipside of that, now for the next year I’ll be thinking “this is the last time __________ will happen before he goes away to college”. He’s my world, and I don’t know what I’m going to do when he leaves. It’s breaking my heart just thinking about it! :(

Hello fellow HRG readers… OK so my weekend consisted of a shopping spree.. check out the Nike.com Clearance! I went crazy on clothing from Nike. I do not care for the running shoes but the clothes rock!
I had an interview on Friday and wore heels.. Ouch I ended up with a pinky toe blister and my ankles were killing me from the elevated heel.. I am not a heel person… But they looked pretty with my outfit. The price us ladies pay for beauty.
I ran Friday and Saturday only 3 miles each day bc of the above meationed heels. Visited my family and enjoyed the crazy Ohio weather! FUN FUN
BTW I love Pro Compression too! I wear to EVERY race.

We were supposed to have a big storm. We got ice and no snow.
I tried the Costco carrot cake cupcakes this weekend. The walnuts were too huge for me to enjoy the cake. Still in search of one that beats my sister’s recipe.
Watched Gravity , got a bit dizzy.

Calf sleeves are for amateurs. One day if you’re lucky like me you can spend each day in medical grade compression stockings. Bonus: getting them on each morning is a workout in itself .

Reply

I wear my procompression socks CONSTANTLY. I wear them overnight before long runs all the time!

Saturday-did 7 mile training run around White Rock lake and then had breakfast. After a post-run nap, went for a belated birthday dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. The next day, I went running shoe shopping with a friend. That night, THE OSCARS!!!!

I can’t live without my pro compression socks. I need to try their sleeves next. I started MAF training. It is going to be a slow but hopefully fruitful process. :)
