Perfect Running Form

I had a lofty goal that I made for the year 2014 and I have just been set up to fail miserably.

My goal was to actually wear something other than workout clothes/leggings/sweatshirts all day and to attempt to maybe wear something that makes people think I am a responsible adult.  You see, I just put so much thought into Brooke’s outfits that I run out of time to pick something out for myself;)  And I really like to be comfortable.

The Phoenix Marathon peeps sent this amazingness to me and my goal is now a goner.

It’s not coming off and leggings are just meant to be worn with it.

My friend Jessica is in the market for new running shoes so I went with her to the store for moral support.

The girls must have done at least 20 laps.

Please notice Brooke’s perfect mid-foot strike, she drives her knee forward and how her foot lands directly underneath her body, her running form is right on.

IMG 7860

I found what I am getting myself for Valentines Day.  1 lb of goodness.

IMG 7863

And Brooke picked out her Valentines that she is going to give to her cousins and friends.

IMG 7866

We went right on over to my sister’s house because we were hungry and we showed up at the perfect time.  I don’t know if you have noticed this or not but I eat a lot of chicken and a lot of salad.   You may also notice that my nephew enjoys doing interesting things in all of the pictures for the blog.

No meal in my family is complete without some amazing carb.

And since it is my birthday week it is kind of a tradition (I am starting this one this year) that I have froyo every night of the birthday week.  ***WARNING–> if you are already sick of hearing about my birthday week then you should probably skip reading HRG this week;)  Okay, I promise I won’t talk about it again until my actual birthday (Thursday).

I have really nailed the head tilt.

Who watched The Bachelor last night?  Thoughts?

-I just can’t with this season.  Each week I tell myself that I am not going to watch it again (this season… JP drives me crazy) and yet I continue to do so.

Where do you go to buy your running shoes?  Store or online?

Valentines Day—>  Would you rather get flowers or chocolate?

Something you have been eating A LOT of lately?

I try and always get my running shoes at our local store. I love your sweatshirt! I wouldn’t change either! Brooke is totally learning from the best! Happy birthday week :0)

Reply

Loving that sweatshirt. I gave up on “real clothes” a while ago. I have work clothes but I can’t possibly wear those out in public ;)
Love your nephews personality coming out in the blog pics lately. He’s getting so big!

Reply

I always buy the online. I wear Brooks, and I just look for the best deal, because I am cheap.

Happy early birthday pretty girl!

Reply

runningwarehouse.com has brooks on liquidation for cheap if you don’t mind last years model and if you search on line you can find a 15% coupon only to be used for liquidation.

I scored to great deals this month

Reply

Thank you Michele! I’m totally gonna grab my treasured purecadence 2’s tonight! what a good find :-)

Reply

one last thing use FEB25D and get 25% till Friday

Reply

My daughter picked out the same Valentines as Brooke :) Oh and 1 lbs of gummi candy….you’ve out done yourself Janae!

Reply

That hoodie is so cute! Whenever I see photos of you, you look adorable, so I’d say the non workout clothes thing is going pretty well for you from what I can see. And when you DO have workout clothes on, you still look adorable. So, I wouldn’t fret it. ;)

I’m not into the Bachelor this season… I haven’t even tried. When I found out JP was the bachelor, that was reason enough not to watch it.

Have a fabulous day!

Reply

I told joe don’t waste money on flowers use it to buy extra chocolate! Something I’ve been eating a ton of are giant salads with different types of nuts and cheese, kind dark chocolate chili bars, and trail mix :) have a great Tuesday!!!

Reply

I love my local running store :) definitely like to feel a shoe first, sometimes the next iteration of a model you love sucks so you have to be sure! I’ve been eating a lot of homemade Mexican food lately, tacos, quesadillas, and enchiladas have all been made in the last 10 days!

Reply

I get shoes at the local running store and then find a repeat pair online, if I love them.

When I got the PureFlows they were $100 still in the store and $60 online. But it is worth supporting the local shop, every once in a while.

Our little boy does a head tilt and a one-eyed squint (not quite a wink when we take his picture) ;)

Reply

Love the hoodie!
I buy my runners at the running room and a lot of my running gear there too. I do buy a lot of workout clothes online though.

Reply

I buy shoes online since we don’t have any good stores nearby, and I can usually find a better deal that way anyways.

Reply

lol, you certainly have nailed the head tilt! :-) too cute!

I would rather get chocolate for sure! Flowers are pretty but I am always so sad when they die.

Happy birthday! You should talk about it and celebrate it everyday!!! :-)

Reply

Chocolate wins hands down. I also don’t like flowers, so that makes things even easier.

The first time I got fitted for running shoes, I bought them at a store, now I just order online.

Reply

I have never watched the bachelor! I order my running shoes online from Road Runner Sports! Sometimes I will get them at a sports shop when I am out shopping. Brooke is just too cute! Comfy clothes are the best. I live in my under armour pants (men’s size so they are looser) and hoodies are the way to go!

Reply

Enjoy every minute of your birthday week!! I think celebrating with fro yo every day would be a great plan, and I may copy this in May for my birthday week :)

I love Brooke’s valentines!!! Of course she would pick the puppies! I told the bf NO flowers, they are a waste of dollars in my opinion… I would take chocolate any day. And on the 15th I will just stock up on my own :)

I just can’t handle Juan Pablo, so I’ve only watched maybe one episode this season..

Reply

That sweatshirt looks amazing!!!! Leggings are always appropriate. :)

Ice cream…I cannot stop eating it!

Reply

My Grams isn’t impressed with The Bachelor this season either, lol. She turned 84 yesterday and I called her around 7:45 and around 7:58 she said “oh hunny, the bachelor is almost on-I don’t like him but I need to watch it anyway.” Too funny.

Reply

So Brooke is a better runner than me. Got it. Also, happy birthday week!!! Treat yo’ self.

Reply

I did watch the Bachelor last night…I’m with you…I can’t get into it. I went to Realty Steve to get the end result but am still watching to see how it gets there.

I buy my shoes at a store in our town…they have a fit guarantee even after you wear them for a couple of runs…can’t beat that!!!

I’m eating raisin English muffins with peanut butter like they are going out of style!

And of course Brooke has perfect form…she watches her mom! (despite your heel strike. ;-))

Reply

What a great sweatshirt! For Valentine’s Day I prefer chocolate (but GOOD chocolate)! But if I really had my choice, I would want flowers also. :)

Reply

I watched the Bachelor last night. He drives me a little crazy as well…yet I just can’t help myself. It’s not just him, but a lot of the ladies this season. In the end, however, there is nothing like a giant bowl of ice cream with whipped cream, chocolate sauce and goldfish + the Bachelor. It’s my tradition!

I’d rather get CUPCAKES on Valentine’s Day :-)

I’ve been eating a lot of hard boiled egg whites with salt n’ pepper. I know it’s weird. But I just love them!

BTW, I wear the same “uniform” as you every day. No shame! It’s comfy!

Reply

Now that I’ve been wearing the same pair of Brooks a few times, I order online from Running Warehouse. I got my last pair for $67!!!

I’ve been eating a lot of carbs recently in order to keep up with training.

I agree…at first I thought JP is sweet and maybe he is, but his act is a bit much, it seems fake.

That sweatshirt looks super comfy! Love it!

I wasn’t a JP fan to begin the season, and I like him less now. Mainly because I don’t like how he pulls out his daughter as an excuse when it’s convenient. How he treated Clare was deplorable. But I do enjoy his humor in the outtakes… it’s just too bad that that doesn’t extend over to treating women with class.

Reply

I love wearing sweatshirts and leggings… guilty! Cute sweatshirt, by the way :)

I asked my husband to please never buy me flowers; I can’t eat them and they will eventually die. I’m more for chocolates or a nice coffee date! Oh my, or that giant gummy bear!

We don’t have any clothing stores within an hour of where I live, so I mainly shop online, especially for running shoes. They usually don’t have a huge selection in stores (here at least)!

Reply

I want that sweatshirt! I just had to drop down to the half from the full at Phoenix due to a groin injury. Hope I get to meet you when you are here!!

Reply

One of my favourite things about reading your blog is birthday week! That is a lie because you put a smile on my face every day but because we share a birthday week I feel like I have a birthday twin to share it with!

Reply

I could buy my shoes online but I like the experience of going to the running store!!!

I would always rather chocolate. And I’m totally on board with wearing running clothes all day everyday. :)

I’ve been eating a lot of greens lately! Salad + chicken or hardboiled egg every meal!

Reply

I would normally say Chocolate for Valentine’s Day but since I am trying to stop eating so much sugar I am going to go with flowers this year for Valentine’s Day :) We are on a crazy budget so we are actually only going to be making cards for each other, but I think that is PERFECT!

Reply

Yay for your Birthday Week!!!

I’m pretty sure I’d pick chocolate over flowers any day!

Reply

I love birthday weeks! Mine is next week!
Ugh the bachelor is awful! If JP doesn’t kiss you, get ready for him to blame it on his daughter. Sharleen and her awkward kissing is still there and I don’t get why?! Looks like she wants to go home, though. I don’t care for his women at all! Except for Andi…she’s bearable.
I bought my last 2 pair of running shoes online and they were great purchases.
Chocolate=meh. I would have fresh flowers in my house every day if I could!

Reply

Everything. I have been eating a lot of everything lately. Allthefoods.

Brooke does always look super cute. But dressing kids is way more fun than dressing yourself. Plus, if I looked as cute in leggings and a hoodie as you did, I’d be wearing them daily too. Own it.

I ate fro yo while watching the bachelor last night too. Trying to decide what is worse this season…Juan: who has zero personality and basically has just man whored himself thus far, Sharleen: who clearly shouldn’t be there. She doesn’t want kids!! I think that Juan knows it too and that is why whenever she actually tries to talk he shuts her up by kissing her. That, or he can’t stand her man voice. Clare. Ya. It’s most likely her. She is manipulative and serial killer eyes. But it’s the open mouth sex faces she makes at juan while he talks to her that really throw me over the edge.

Clearly, I too, need to stop watching this show. Lol.

Reply

I try to buy at the local store but once I lock in on a shoe I keep an eye on Amazon and RunningWarehouse. Any money I can save helps out a lot in the long run!

LOVE the sweatshirt they sent you and I would totally live in it, too! The food I’ve been eating the most lately is crackers and ginger ale ;) as for Valentine’s day – I totally want my husband to get me an Edible Arrangement and preferably one that has chocolate covered bananas because they look like giant marshmallows and taste delicious!!

Reply

Maybe it was unintended(?), but I got a good giggle out of your pun:
“Any money I can save helps out a lot in the long run!”
Amen, putting on training miles can get so expensive, especially where shoes are concerned!

Reply

hahaha analyzing brooke’s running stride- that was hilarious! I like ordering my running shoes online… I know what works for me so I can just easily order a replacement pair!

Reply

Normal clothes are for normal people, and workout clothes are for awesome people. The Bachelor is ridiculous. It’s like a brothel. And still I watch.

Been eating about a jar of almond butter a week, but never before runs… :-/

Happy early birthday!

Reply

My daughter, Taylor, chose the exact same Valentine cards as Brooke! Great minds think alike! Or maybe it was the super cute puppies that sealed the deal.

Happy Birthday week! I also agree that birthday’s should be a week long celebration. Enjoy this week, you deserve it!

Reply

My Girlie picked out those exact same valentines for her class! We got them ready yesterday. So much thought into who gets a puppy or a kitten card!

I’ve been eating my weight in coconut chobani with added chocolate chips. I actually just ran out though ’cause my grocery store was out of the coconut flavor. Vanilla just isn’t as good…

Reply

Corn bread?! You and your family always have the most amazing recipes, could you share?

Thank you!

I have not watched the bachelor yet so I didn’t read any of the comments but I will be watching later this week. I buy my running shoes at city sports usually and I’ve been eating a LOT of those new oreos after seeing them on your blog haha.

Reply

No Bachelor for me, my Monday night show (really the only show I watch week to week) is The Following. Love me some Bacon.

I love our local running store, Running Wild, but if I can find a deal online then there.

I would rather get one of the chocolate covered fruit bouquets. Pineapple daisies? Bring it on.

toasted Ezekial bread with fresh ground almond butter and local honey. can’t get enough.

Reply

That sweatshirt is beyond amazing. It’s nice that races are finally coming out with really cute race gear. I’m so glad I’m not the only one who lives in workout clothes. It’s one of the big reasons I love working at a running store–I can wear stretchy pants to work. I don’t know what I’d do if I had a corporate job.

Reply

I’m really iesrmpsed with your writing skills and also with the layout for your blog. Is this a paid topic or did you customize it your self? Anyway keep up the excellent high quality writing, it’s rare to see a great weblog like this one today..

Reply

aww I gotta have that hoodie!

Reply

Last year for Valentine’s day I got some maple bacon jerky. And a giant heart shaped pb cup. The man knows what his lady likes!

Reply

haha I dont know what it is but its nearly impossible to take a picture of by yourself and NOT tilt your head! I noticed that in allllll of my bridal pictures :-p

Reply

I watched the bachelor last night. I don’t think I have ever seen a season where there is so much lip locking. I mean even on group dates or at the rose ceremony he is pulling them a side for some smooches. Yet, I still watch.

I have been eating a lot of dairy lately. Drank half our gallon of milk the other night. Cheese, yogurt, fro-yo all making their appearance as well.

Reply

I actually turned The Bachelor off last night, usually I am glued to the drama but between JP’s vocabulary and Clare…no thanks. I read Gone Girl instead, check it out if you haven’t read it – MUCH more interesting than the bachelor (this season at least, because I do love my bachelor/bachelorette drama)! :)

Reply

That sweatshirt is super cute, I would be living in that as well!

Chocolates for sure!!!

If I’m being fitted for new shoes I will go to the running store, but if I love the ones I have I usually try to find deals online.

I’ve been eating a lot of Brussel sprouts lately….roasted….they are so good!

Brooke is too cute sprinting around the store.

Reply

I wish I could have a years supply of froyo for Valentine’s Day , how absolutely awesome would that be? Someone should really offer that because I would make my husband buy it!

Reply

I love birthday weeks! I usually get my running shoes at Runner’s Edge but I do order sometimes from Road Runner Sports. Since I am a complete nut, I like to try each pair on since I am convinced that no two pairs are alike so ordering the exact same size and style may not fit as you hoped.

Reply

I Love, love LOVE that hoodie! :D

As a newish runner I am working up the courage to go to the running store and get fitted for shoes.

Reply

That hoodie was made for you! And happy birthday week!

Reply

Aww of course Brooke picked out the doggy Valentine’s Day cards!

I have no idea why you would make a resolution to wear anything other than running clothes aka the most comfortable clothes ever made. If I didn’t have to go to an office every day I would most def just wear my running clothes 24/7 … I already do that on the weekends. Personally, I think I look super cool in them and you do too! Everyone does! I think it’s hard to look bad in running clothes :)

Reply

If you need a buddy for more birthday froyo, you’ve got my number ;) Also, you should talk about your birthday every day. It’s your birthday week. You have the right!! haha

I just can’t watch this season. JP drives me crazy too. He’s super annoying.

Hmmm I can’t chose. Because how can you turn down chocolate but flowers are so nice.

Reply

*i love hearing about your bday week–>It is one of my BFFS bdays tomorrow so i will never forget yours :)

*I always go to Marx Running and Fitness when I need a “new” kind of shoe–but then once i fall in love and needa NEW pair…i usually scour the world wide web until i get a good deal on my new fave’s

*FLowers. Although i LOOOOOVE chocolate-I loooove not gaining weight from the massive amounts of it that i will eat! And plus i like to use the flowers inan arrangement afterwards:)

*I have been eating alot of cottage cheese–It keeps me full for a really long time!! and its yummy! I know alot of people don’t like the texture though, which i totally get.

Reply

birthday week?! I celebrate the whole month :)!

Reply

Running shoes are always cheaper online, so I pick them out in the store, or just buy the same ones from last time, and order them online to save money.
I would rather get flowers because I can buy myself chocolate but it feels weird to buy myself flowers.. ;)
I’ve been eating a lot of broccoli lately! so into broccoli right now

Reply

Why does JP drive you more crazy than the other Bachelors? And I’ve lost all sense of shame with the Bachelor. I don’t even pretend to act superior any more. :)

Reply

If I decide to branch out and try a new brand of running shoes I go to a store (bought a pair of Brooks yesterday). If I’m just buying a new pair of the same make and model, and can find a good deal, then I go online.

Can I choose flowers and chocolate?

I’ve been eating a lot of salad and fiber one granola bars (they have chocolate in them AND they’re healthy, so the guilt is totally non-existent while eating them).

Reply

I watched it and I agree, I wish I didn’t but I still will. he drives me nuts.

I buy my shoes at a local running store because I have to try them on. even though I usually go for the same model.

My favourite part of valentines day is the card. I like that the best.

Reply

I usually buy my running shoes at a store, but have online as well (when I had an Amazon gift card). I always get the same kind – Brooks Adrenaline. But right now I’m also running in Nike Flyknits because they looked too cool not to try. Not sure I’d want a minimalist shoe for outside, but they are perfect for while I’m just on the treadmill!

Reply

I’d like to get flowers from someone other than my mother or sister :)

I’ve been eating lots of hummus and kale. Yummm

I prefer to go to a physical store for running shoes. Just got the Brooks Transcends!! I need to break them in though – they are super rigid now but I know they’ll be comfy once worn.

Reply

Your local running store looks awesome! I am hoping to try some Brooks Transcends soon… I’m watching the Bachelor but hate when there is no one that I really like and am rooting for. I can’t imagine any of the girls ending up as the final one, really.

Reply

I completely forgot about the Bachelor last night! Thanks for reminding me of my priorities today. I am right with you on the getting dressed in responsible adult clothes everyday. It just isn’t going to happen!

Reply

I watched part of the Bachelore last night and recorded the rest. JP drives me crazy too!

I always go to the store to buy running shoes. I always think I will change brands/style and I end up with the new version of my Mizunos every time. They are just so light and comfy! I can’t help myself! We have a fantastic running store called Garry Gribbles (if you are ever in KC, you should check them out). They are local and friendly and really support the local running community!

I would always rather get chocolate. My fiance gets me a bag of Dove milk chocolate every year on Vday.

Happy birthday week!! Froyo each day sounds wonderful!

Reply

LOVE your sweatshirt!!!!! And there is nothing wrong with leggings everyday. I was a nanny for 2 years and EVERYDAY I wore leggings or work out clothes!!! On the weekends I would surprise my hubby and wear jeans, he was shocked!!
I buy my running shoes online after I try them on in the store! But I keep buying Asics and I just get the next ones so I do not need to try them on anymore, I’m up to the Kayano 19’s and SO ready for the 20!
I love flowers and chocolate covered strawberries for Vday!
The bachelor. . . I got into it and then some weeks just do not interest me but I read the spoilers so I know who he picks at the end!!! LOL
Hope your having a FABULOUS birthday week!!!!

Reply

Working at a running store, I buy them at the running store! Before I worked their I would always buy local as well.
I love watching JP and I can’t stop!
Flowers all the way!
And I have been eating a lot of apples.

Reply

I love your sweatshirt! I need that! Oh and February birthdays are the best! Mine is Monday, the 17th. At least you only talk about your birthday for a week… I talk about mine all month. :) I have been eating a lot of nut butter lately, and it’s been great! Oh and I like to go in the store to buy my shoes so I can try them on!

Reply

Since I’m not working right now I can relate to that. I at least bought myself a non seethrough pair of leggings so I’m more appropriate. I’ll probably never get out of my typical hoodie and leggings…well until I go back to work I guess ha.

I’m not sure regarding flowers and chocolate. Probably flowers. I’m a summer baby myself (shocking since everyone seems to think Hollie=Christmas). That would make sense, but when does my life ever make sense?

Reply

Your sweatshirt is so cute!! I’d choose chocolate. But I haven’t gotten flowers in a while, so I’ll settle for flowers too ;)

Reply

Been eating a LOT of Korean sweet potatoes lately. When it comes out of the oven, all hot and delicious, it’s perfect for the chillier months!

Reply

I am hooked to the Bachelor and I am embarrassed to admit it…..I haven’t watched one of those shows in years and my girls were watching it so I sat down with them one Monday. Now, its sooooo bad (the show) and JP is kissing every one and playing with their hair too much that we watch to see how quickly he will kiss or play with their hair again….ugh!!!

Hey we are 2 days apart in the birthday week of all weeks!! WooHoo to that! (I share the exact day and year with Jennifer Aniston we my family jokes how the two of us should get together and celebrate…Do you share you day with any one?)

Reply

I can’t put my finger on it but I’m really not into the Bachelor this season either! Its just not as good. We usually watch the episode on Tuesdays so that we can skip all the commercials but tonight the Olypics might win out!

Reply

My birthday is the 18th (tuesday) so I am declaring this week and next week my birthday week- only fair right? And wish our running stores had a mini track how awesome!

Reply

I’m seriously addicted to homemade almond butter. I go through a batch a week. It’s become so much of a problem that I made a batch of chickpea cookie dough just to switch it up. It sounds gross but it’s delicious. Just google chocolate covered katie and you’ll find it. Isn’t that just the sign of a true addiction when you try to get others on the bandwagon? Ooops!

Reply

I love the hoodie! That is so awesome! To me Valentine’s Day is not about flowers and definitely about chocolate. My husband always makes a gourmet meal for Valentine’s Day and incorporates chocolate or a product of into every step of the meal. For example cocoa dusted scallops or lobster raviolis with a cocoa vanilla butter sauce. Delicious every year!

Reply

I don’t want flowers or chocolate – huge piece of chocolate or carrot cake would work! And watching a movie with my husband in comfy pj’s by 6pm :)

I can’t stop eating pb2 on bagels; or ice cream (specifically anything “birthday cake” flavored)

Reply

Vantentine’s treat is definitely chosolate for me :)
I buy my running shoes at IRun, it is a store here in Miami (they also sell stuff online) but the owners are amazing and they have free running clubs every morning at 5:30 am and saturdays at 6:15 and even for triathlon season they do trainings for free for all of us !! really cool running store !!
I can’t watch the bachelor, i love mindless shows but that one i just can’t stand it for some reason !
and lately i have been eating A LOT f lettuce wraps for lunches (i try to be good and bring my food to work, and i find myself eating that 4 days a week) haha i guess i really like it !!

By the way i love your blog, you are such a sweet person and Brooke is a cute baby :)
Have an amazing day !

Reply

I need to go try on running shoes soon too! LOVE the sweatshirt–it’s so cute!

Reply

i love the idea of having fro yo every night during your birthday week :)

Reply

First, one can never talk too much about birthday week.

Second, I LOVE that hoodie. That color looks really nice on you.

I have gotten running shoes at running stores, and once I know what kind I like, I buy them online to save some money.

Reply

I love that sweatshirt, looks so comfy! And I might steal your fro-yo birthday week tradition when my birthday rolls around :)

Reply

I always buy my running shoes at the store – I’m terribly picky (well my feet are) and sometimes new versions of shoes have not worked for me. I also like to try on new products too :-)

Reply

Happy birthday week! I like that idea :)

I wear a size 5 shoe, so I usually buy online. Stores rarely carry my size. Road Runner Sports has an amazing return policy.

I’d rather have flowers – I’m the chocolate buyer in our household, so we never run out!

Reply

We have the same birthday week – mine is Wednesday (tomorrow)! Happy Birthday :)

Reply

I’m no expert, but have you read Born to Run? Toddlers really do have the perfect running form!

Reply

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WEEK!! You should dedicate one of your bowls of froyo to me this week since I’ve never ever ever had any! That makes me a horrible person I know lol…
Look at that running form!! If she keeps up that form, she’ll be a great runner!! (even if she doesn’t, she’ll be a great runner because she has you as a mom!) :)

Reply

Now you just need to perfect the one-arm-akimbo thing and you’ll be all set!

I envy my little girl’s stride too. Are we all that natural to begin with?

Reply

I only watched the first episode of the Bachelor, and then last night’s — I find Juan Pablo extremely irritating! I don’t get the attraction!

Reply

Ah I’m so busy this week I can’t watch the Bachelor until Thursday night!!! Awful, I know.

Reply

a) JP drives me insane I still watch it but I can barely handle it.
b) I really, really want a 3d puppy valentine
c) I also really want that sweatshirt.
d) froyo every night of birthday week sounds like a tradition I want to steal.

Reply

Happy Birthday week! I always go to the store to buy everything. I like to put my shoes on and walk around in them, regardless if I have worn the exact pair before. I guess I will never be too trusting of internet shopping. (Read: I am set in my ways).

Reply

Happy birthday week! Please ask Brooke to send along any running tips, because my stride could use some work.

Reply

Had no idea when your birthday was and then saw Thursday! We have the same Birthday!! I’m turning 17 this Thursday- yay and I always celebrate for the whole week, it’s the best way to do it! Happy almost Birthday :)

Reply

I usually buy my shoes online through Running Warehouse, unless a new model comes out, then I’m neurotic and neeed to try them on first

And screw chocolates, froyo for V-Day (and everyday) please and thanks!

Reply

Birthday weeks are the best! Happy Happy Birthday (week).

Just an fyi — on my computer (might be different on others’), you have a living social banner ad that is covering up your headline and a line or two of your post. While I like living social — I like your posts better. :)

Reply

I buy my shoes at Runners Gate. I love the help I get and can return the shoes (only if worn on the treadmill) if I don’t like them.

I like the heart shaped box of chocolates and flowers would be nice too! Just being remembered is nice!

I’ve been eating a lot of popcorn..

Reply

That’s what we’ve all been waiting for! Great posting!

Reply

I’m so hooked on the bachelor it’s sickening haha.. JP seems kinda like player? maybe I’m wrong…. love hearing about your BIRTHDAY WEEK! You deserve to celebrate big.!

Reply

AHHH! Your birthday week! WOOHOO! I love that you decided to eat froyo every night. Smart girl. I may have to do that this year. I always do a birthday week for Craig & Gabriella. I just love birthdays, could care less about my own, but love doing special things for everyone else.
& definitely NOT into the Bachelor this time. Ew.

Reply

Nice gear from PhxMarathon! Hopefully I see you out there. It will be my first full. I know you’re doing the half – boooo, lol. I’m already trying to position myself to at least catch RER at get a picture. Stay blessed!

Reply

I feel the same way about the bachelor. I keep thinking I am done but then I come back ha ha! I recently started getting my shoes from a running store. It has definitely been a good switch from just buying at a sports store.

Reply

I go to a running store :)

Reply

Hmmm something I’ve been a lot of lately would have to be this dried fruit I found at Whole Foods. It’s not all sweet and chemically, and I figure it has to be a little bit better for me than candy like I really want :)

Reply

When I’m not at work (which is pretty comfortable dress to begin with), I’m ALWAYS in my running clothes. That way, I’m always prepared to go running! And they’re super comfy. :-)

Reply

Solid head tilt : )

I like Juan less and less every week. BUT I love getting together with my girlfriends once a week and watching the show and making fun of every one the entire time. Oh and drinking copious amounts of wine.

I buy my running shoes through the running store I work at, discount!

Chocolate, all day every day.

Reply

I’ve been eating a lot of kettle corn lately.
I usually get my first pair of a new style sneaker at my local running store and then order replacements online until that model isn’t available anymore and then back to running store to get options and some guidance.
I don’t watch the bachelor. I can’t watch beautiful couples making out. It makes me want to hurl :) I stick to singing reality tv like the voice and American idol. :)
Would totally rather get flowers! Chocolate is a personal choice. I would be disappointed if it wasn’t the kind I like. Lol.
That hoodie is perfection!!!

I’m impressed that you left the running store without new shoes – that is hard for me!!
I think that you should celebrate your birthday for at least a week – sometimes even the whole month!!!

I prefer getting running shoes in person, online the sizing is tricky. I’d pick chocolate over flowers any day. flowers are temporary, chocolate is forever ;)

Froyo every day is an amazing idea – I might have to copy you ;)

If I didn’t have to go to work I would totally just wear workout clothes all the time. They’re so comfortable!

I usually buy my running shoes online, old habit of living where I had to internet shop for everything.

I would rather get flowers for Valentines day – I have no problem buying myself chocolate, but I would feel silly buying flowers for myself. :)

I have been eating a lot of FMW lately. Like daily.

Chocolate all the way! That also happens to be the thing I’m eating lots of lately – not so good.

Enjoy your birthday week! Everyone deserves to celebrate (or not celebrate) their birthday how they want to do it.

Totally off subject!!! I have a friend that is pregnant and asked me about a belt that she should wear while running/walking and I told her that I knew where to look to find her one! I tried looking through some of your preggo post and I couldn’t find, can you point me in the direction where she may be able to find one!
Thanks a bunch and Brooke is so darn cute!!!!

I have made the goal of putting more effort into my appearance two years in a row. Both years now I have given up pretty quickly into January. It is so hard to convince my waist that it wants to feel a button against it. Leggings for the win. Now all I try to do is my eyebrows before I go out. That’s the best I can do for my resolution :)

I’ve never bought running shoes online. Something about it just makes me a little nervous, but maybe that’s just silly:) Your sweatshirt is cute and looks REALLY comfortable!

I used to try resisting getting sucked into Bachelor, but it’s useless. I love it! I am down to only 2 ladies I like this season though; there’s always so many seemingly unstable people on there!

Sadly, I watched The Bachelor last night:( With all the great TV shows on Netflix, Hulu and On Demand one has to ask why!?

I’m an in-store girl but I admit the buy-forget-surprise factor of online shopping is fun too:)

When it comes to V-Day I love cheesy over the topness! Flowers aren’t necessary but candy the size of my head and a stuffed animal the size of my body are winners. My bf has a ball:)

I can’t stop eating chocolate chip cookie dough Quest Bars(protein bar). They’re like crack, seriously.

Chocolate over flowers any day. For shoes I usually go into the running store, try on the shoes then go online and search for deals.

As soon as I hit the door, dress clothes come off and pjs go on..

love the sweatshirt!

I watch the Bachelor with a group of girls every Monday and we are in the same boat as you.. It is just SO hard to take JP seriously. We did make brackets at the beginning of the season though which was fun.
Getting dressed in real clothes was a New Years resolution of mine too.. I’ve been about as successful as you have. But I’ve been better about semi-styling my hair and applying a tiny bit of makeup so at least I have the “I just came from the gym” look instead of the “I just rolled out of bed” look.
