Brooke’s first Christmas party of the season was a success.
Why don’t I eat breakfast casserole, fruit and hot chocolate for breakfast more often? It hit the spot.
Brooke did not warm up to Santa yesterday…
My cute friend Jessica WON the ugly sweater contest by a landslide. Doesn’t her sweater look extremely comfortable? I kind of just want one to lounge around in my basement all day.
And another snowstorm. Saturday morning when my alarm clock went off to go running at 6 a.m. I decided that I would run after the Christmas party so that I could go outside when it was warmer. We walked out of the party and a blizzard started. Down to the treadmill I went.
What I did to avoid complete boredom on the treadmill:
2 miles running and then I hopped off the treadmill for 5 minutes of weights/push-ups/planks etc and then I repeated that 4 times for a total of 8 miles.
After my run when Brooke woke up we went over to my sister’s house because she always knows how to put me in a good mood (she turned on the Mindy Project and gave me a head massage… That is all it takes).
Her kiddos were loving the fresh snow and they were playing in it for hours.
Brooke chose to stay inside and stand directly on top of the heater.
For dinner (also Christmas Tradition Day #7) we went over to Paige’s house to make snowmen pizza. You have to admit this pizza is pretty cute. You could use olives for the buttons on the snowman but I refuse to ruin pizza by topping it with something like olives.
And then we watched the Polar Express with hot chocolate and chocolate chip cookies.
What are 2 simple things (besides running) that always put you in a good mood?!?!
