My iPhone pictures have a lot to tell you.

There isn’t anything that you can compare to this brownie a la mode ice cream but…

IMG 4725

(PS try a sprinkle cone at least once in your life)

This Greek Yogurt is almost as good:)  I paired it with some grapes and fell in love.  I have tried a lot of different brands of greek yogurt and this one wins by a lot.

IMG 4745

Okay, just two more food items that I have to tell you about that I am loving.

1.  Pistachios.

IMG 4661

2.  This drink.  I chose it over a diet coke at the movie theater… that is #proof that I love it a lot;)

IMG 4648

I wear my You Are My Sunshine necklace every day of my life (even when I am wearing a different necklace… I just wear both) but wearing it was extra special to me when Brooke was away.

IMG 4662

Last night Brooke would play with her toys on the ground and then come stand by the table with her mouth open for me to give her half of a grape.  This happened at least 2 dozen times in a row.

IMG 4740

I can’t believe I am saying this… I actually enjoyed 30 minutes on the elliptical.  The gym at the hotel had this elliptical and it was crazy nice.. super smooth, not noisy, a great workout and I might just have to buy one of these someday to add to my home gym in my mom’s basement.

IMG 4698

Another reason that I like hotels:

IMG 4646

I think I came close to eating 900 waffles when I was pregnant with Brooke and it brought back good memories to eat them again.

Not much better than walking around and holding hands in the hotel with your one year old and her mini donut (it took her about 45 minutes to eat the top half of the donut ((even brooke knows that the frosting is the best part on a donut:).

That yogurt really is the best!

I just can’t get behind the elliptical — I can’t!!

Fage all the way! Hands down best yogurt ever. I used to love the elliptical machine but I don’t use it as much since I am obsessed with running. I have a yoga mat a ton of videos and hopefully a treadmill come Christmas.

Bahaha. The picture of Brooke with her mouth open is both hilarious and awesome. I do the same thing when I want food, but it isn’t nearly as adorable.

I should try that elliptical. It would be a miracle if I ever enjoyed one. I went to run on the treadmill on TDay morning and my achilles hurt (when it is not one thing, I guess it will be another) and not wanting to risk it, I got on the elliptical. I went to the gym with a friend so we talked (re: huffed while talking) and 40min went by quick. Who knew?

I have a crappy treadmill, medicine balls, exercise ball, resistance bands, pull up bar (maybe one day I will be able to do more than 2) 5,8,10,and 15lb weights. One day I will own a spin bike and a step mill (and a nicer treadmill) to round it all out. Maybe when I win the lottery.

pomegranates with cottage cheese….mostly cause grapes are getting expensive ;) Are you home yet? We need to a get together with Ash and Meg, like yesterday.

Love this post. How cute you both are! I am very happy to see you and Brooke together again. It is awesome.

I don’t really eat much dairy so if I do have a yogurt it would just be what we have in the house for my husband. I don’t do the elliptical. When I x-train I bike or swim. I have a full home gym and love it! Snack lately = homemade chocolate shake. Every night ….after dinner….without fail :)

Reply

Favorite froyo flavor is definitely, hands down, cake batter. Oh my gosh, how can it be so good?

I love that black and white picture with Brooke and the grape.

Reply

I do the elliptical at least once a week at my work’s gym. It’s not my favorite, but it’s a nice to get in out of the cold sometimes.
I have a treadmill and a yoga mat at home.

Reply

Mmm…is that Willow Glen Creamery? I might just have to stop by there when I go back home and get some brownie a la mode ice cream! With a sprinkle cone, of course. ;)

Reply

SHe is so cute glad she is back!

Reply

Noosa. Try it, it’s the best yogurt I have found hands down!! They sell it at Harmon’s or smiths that I have found. Raspberry is delicious.

Reply

That waffle poster. You know I honed right in on that ha ha.

Part of the reason I really like my new gym here in NJ is because it is very quiet. I don’t feel overwealmed with crazies and I really enjoy that. If I have a TV I don’t mind the elliptical in the slightest. Though honestly with pocket internets (ie iphones) you can be entertained for hours on that machine.

Reply

I love the elliptical! It’s great to zone out on. I can’t handle that picture of Brooke- hahaha!

Reply

First of all, I am all about the chocolate dipped waffle sprinkle cones and bowls. The ice cream is an added bonus in my opinion…favorite greek yogurt is definintely Stonyfield Organic but since it is so pricey, I go with Fage and then Chobani.

Reply

I’m the first to admit that I’m an elliptical hater but every so often it draws me in and I will get lost in the tv show that I’m watching and forget how much I hate being on the thing. Hotel waffles are the bomb.com. For some reason they taste better than when I make them on my own- mostly because they are usually doughier tasting since I accidentally burn everything I cook. I’m dying over that picture over Brooke and the grapes!

Reply

SO next time you’re in Nor Cal try Strauss Family Creamery’s Greek Yogurt – hands down the best! SO creamy! I love to mix fruit, almond butter, and some cereal in for a hearty snack. I don’t LOVE ellipticals – but when I can’t run or spin I’ll take them for some cardio when it’s cold or rainy outside. I have a yoga mat at home and I have used it…. exactly never. Oops :)

PS why is Brooke so perfect?

Reply

Can get behind the whole elliptical thing…I like running better.

I have weights at home, but no real machines. I do have a trainer to ride my tri bike on most days.

Favorite snack? Hummus with lemon pepper pita chips. Yummmm.

Reply

I prefer Publix cookies’n cream frozen yogurt (this also happens to be my favorite snack :) )

My pathetic little home gym consists of a few hand weights and a mini-trampoline. I really want a treadmill.

Reply

I love pistachios! But beware- you better stick to the in-shell ones so that you have to work to eat them. I received a bag of shelled pistachios one time as a gift and practically made myself sick because they were too easy to eat one after the other. You hit on another one of my favorite beverages: Fuze!!! The Peach Mango is my favorite and the Slenderize Raspberry flavor is my second favorite. The Banana Colada one is a close third.

Brooke is too cute asking for sliced grapes like that :) You sure are doing a great job raising such a sweet, cute little girl.

Reply

I agree that is the best yogurt ever. The honey flavor one…I can eat a whole carton in one sitting. And I am lactose intolerant! :)

Reply

That is the best yogurt. My all time favorite.

Reply

I have a treadmill, pull up bar, weights, and yoga mat at home. Lately I’ve been loving any kind of nut to snack on. Pistachios are the BEST!

Reply

I love Fage Total 0% with Honey…mmm! I love the elliptical, but I never do it because I don’t feel like I get as good of a workout as I do on the treadmill. I have a treadmill, a million workout DVDs, med balls, weights, and mats at home. No gym membership! Lately I am addicted to goldfish!

Reply

I LOVE vanilla Greek yogurt sprinkled with cinnamon and fresh blueberries. I don’t have any exercise machines, but have a couple of mats, hand weights, exercise bands, etc….I don’t mind the elliptical, certainly better than running on a treadmill. The snack that gets me through the afternoon at work is usually almonds and raisins, and if I’m really hungry then a Lara bar.

Reply

I am loving yogurt covered raisins right now! Love that necklace :-).

Reply

The only workout equipment I have at home are some weights, an exercise ball and therabands. I mostly do body weight exercises though and run outside. :)

Reply

I’m not really a yogurt fan.
I’m actually in the market for a good elliptical…
I have a yoga mat, weights, and a treadmill.
Snack that I’m loving lately has got to be wasabi peas! They rock my world!
I tease that my kids are like little baby birds and that is exactly what Brooke looks like in that pic :)

Reply

All ellipicals… bad juju.

Reply

*Ellipticals. I wish I knew how to spell.

Reply

All of your pictures have me smiling! Looks like you had a great time with Brooke!

My favorite Greek yogurt is Fage and Chobani. Noosa is also amazing. I love the Greek Gods yogurt you pictured there because it is so tasty, but I was sad to find out that it is not actually Greek style strained yogurt, but rather just regular yogurt with thickeners added. So it has far less protein. Not a problem if you are looking for just some delicious yogurt, but if you are hoping for the benefits of Greek yogurt, I would avoid that brand. Sorry to be a downer :(.

I am trying to do more arm workouts at home and am so glad for that video you and your sister did awhile ago! Helps keep me motivated :).

Reply

The elpitcal = I love it, but I feel like I cheated when I use it :/ But hey, it’s still burning calories, right?

Favorite snack ALWAYS, maple donut!!

Reply

The elliptical makes me mad. I swear it takes me like 25 minutes to go one mile, which gives me a lot of time to think “how does this thing even know what a mile is?!” I mean you’re not really taking steps, you’re just kind of swinging. Pretty sure it doesn’t know what a mile is and that it cannot possibly take me 25 minutes to go a mile. Or maybe I am just lazy when I use the elliptical and it does take me 25 minutes. But you would think my anger would propel me forward faster! :)

Reply

I buy the Greek Gods nonfat plain yogurt. It’s great with honey, berries, granola, and my new favorite, jam. Yum!

Reply

Trail mix.

True feelings towards the elliptical:
That guy saved my booty when I was injured for months and months and months! Not only did I not die, not being able to run, but I somehow didn’t even lose fitness!

I looove me some Fage plain greek yogurt. Sadly it doesn’t love my wallet so I stock up when it is on sale!

Reply

I don’t mind the elliptical really — it’s nice for when my knees need a break, and I can still get a super sweaty workout on it!

Reply

Brooke is a smart girl. The frosting is the best part of any dessert! I used to drink those fuze drinks all the time in college. Have a great night!

Reply

I have never been on an elliptical!! I don’t even know how it works haha. The only workout thing I have at home is a yoga mat – and running shoes! Lately my snack has been toast with peanut butter and cottage cheese. omg so yummy!

Reply

The elliptical is my favorite. I love that I can get that super satisfied sweaty spent feeling without my hip completely being destroyed. To not be limited by the pain of injury…nothing like it :)

Favorite snack…Cocobliss mint galactica ice cream from the carton. And salted sprouted pumpkin seeds. Not at the same time.

Reply

Awwww she is so sweet! I am so glad Brooke is back!

I try to get into the elliptical and sometimes I can but its rare! Glad you had a good 30 minutes on it today!

Reply

I have a stationary bike at home that I looooove. And also weights and a yoga mat and ball :) I do all my workouts at home, so it’s nice to have the essentials! I love greek yogurt sooo much. That one you pictured is delish, I agree!!

I spy Cinnamon Toast Crunch in the hotel breakfast bar! Best.cereal.ever.

I’ve had that brand of yogurt before and it’s definitely a good one. But I’m going to have to say that bananas are my favourite fruit to toss into yogurt — either that or apples. As for favourite snack, I’ve seriously been loving mug cakes lately. I eat one pretty much every day, and if I start getting bored, I just toss different things in em. So good. Although I have a feeling I’d trade ’em for one of those brownie cones… even though it’s currently all blizzardy outside.

T.H.A.T. is my favvvvvvorite yogurt, creamy, yummy. Have you tried TJ’s Dark Chocolate covered Peppermint Joe Joe’s? You MUST!

Reply

Oh going to trader joes tomorrow I’m gettin some!

I don’t really like yogurt! Weird I know… I loathe the elliptical – I feel like an uncoordinated donkey every time I am on it! When it comes to home work out goodies – I have a bosu ball, yoga mat, foam roller (that is definitely an upper body work out), and my roomie has some weights laying around!

My snack of the week is gluten free honey chex! HOLY DELICIOUS!

Reply

Coconut Greek yoghurt…. So deliciously delicious :) I have a few weights, a swiss ball and sometimes borrow my Mum’s treadmill :)

Reply

When I was out with an injury I was on the elliptical more than I had ever been in my entire life.

Hate is the only word that comes to mind and I try not to say it unless I mean it.

Reply

I have a full gym in my basement, but then I’m a trainer and see clients here at my home.

I’m a fan of vanilla yogurt. I’ll have to try the one you like.

I love Fuze Peach Mango. It’s so good, and my hubby and I add coconut rum to it for a cocktail when we’re at the beach. :-)

Reply

My favorite yogurt is the Yoplait Greek 100. My favorite flavor is the tropical.
I don’t mind the elliptical most of the time.
My workout equipment at home… hand weights, yoga mat, DVDs. elliptical, and recumbent bike. I really want a treadmill at home!

Snack I am loving lately is Weight Watchers Jalapeno cheese sticks. So good!

Reply

I have a stationary bike/dumbells/a chin up bar (which is still in box) and weight plates with a few different bars.
I’d love to get a treadmill but I love running outside too much.

My 4 yr old eats the sprinkle/frosting part of the donut and gives me back the ring of dough. It’s disgusting lol.

Reply

Hotels are just fun….for some reason I love the ones with pools the best.

Reply

I just found out about the wonders of greek yogurt this year. I ate it with grapes first and I’m now convinced I cannot eat yogurt without fruit in it…grapes = the best fruit

I don’t mind the elliptical. I think my body enjoys it every once in a while as a break from the pounding it takes from running.

All I have at home is my foam roller…LOVE it! So, not exactly a piece of workout equipment, but essential to my recovery! I do have a yoga mat, but I don’t use it. I probably should.

I am in a snack bermuda triangle. I can’t find one lately that satisfies whatever I’m craving. I have been eating a lot of cheese with pretzels though.

P.S. Love the photos. Thanks for blogging. Glad you are reunited with your Love and get to head home!

Reply

Maybe I wouldn’t mind being on an elliptical so much if I could find a really good one! The ones at my gym are so old. I have some equipment at home including a stability ball, weights and a yoga mat, but I really wish I had some cardio equipment! (I don’t think my downstairs neighbor would like it though)

Reply

My friend told me about the Greek Gods yogurt all summer but I just can’t seem to find it anywhere! Perhaps I need to look harder…somehow she always had it! I LOVE greek yogurt!

Reply

I’m obsessed with the Fuze drink too!!! The punch flavor is my absolute favorite! I really don’t mind the elliptical, I try to mix it up to stay entertained and sweat. I used to have one at home, but ended up selling it and putting a treadmill in its place ;)

Reply

I LOVE Greek Gods yogurt too, but I typically go with the Fage 0% because it has the most protein with littlest sugar.

I used to only use the elliptical but over the past few years, I haven’t been on it once.

I have a few yoga mats, free weights and a full set of Group Power (body pump) weights, bar and bench, so I do that a lot at home.

Snack that you are loving lately?!

Reply

That fuze drink is really tasty, I agree! I used to buy it all the time.

I like the elliptical! It is a great cross training device ;)

Reply

I love Dannon vanilla greek yogurt and I put some granola on it. I will use an elliptical when I can’t run anymore…until then, I just don’t really feel like I get as good of a workout and I just don’t love it like I love running :). I have a treadmilll at my house that I don’t use very much (only on those freezing days) and some Jillian Michaels dvd’s that I never watch but threaten to all the time :).
Snack= goldfish!!!!! I LOVE goldfish :)

Reply

I LOVE that yogurt – the vanilla orange cinnamon is the best greek yogurt flavor I have found! So happy for you that you have your baby back with you!

Reply

Of course the icing is the best part! I do not eat a lot of Greek yogurt. So I don’t have a favorite. But if you asked me about cottage cheese I’d have a favorite of that.

I’ll have to try this Fuse drink.

I only like a few elliptical and they are the ones that ride more like a ski machine. They might be called something else.

Reply

I like the elliptical much more than I like the treadmill. Treadmill running is just so hard for me for some reason. But running outside it far better than both of those options! Its not much of a snack but the treat that I am loving recently is the holiday colored dark chocolate M&M’s!

Reply

I am LOVING Noosa Honey yogurt. It is so creamy and packed with protein!

Snacks: Raw cashews, Yogurtland fro yo: coconut, pistachio and
peanut butter, and can’t live without my Starbuck’s soy chai latte and See’ s chocolates.

Reply

I love the elliptical, but I never do it because I love running much more (and I avoid working out inside if I can help it)

Reply

I’m a Chobani girl when it comes to Greek yogurt (orange vanilla), intimidated by the elliptical (such a chicken!), home gym: treadmill, recumbent bike, weight set…snack of the week: milk duds and white cheddar Cheetos! Rory does the same thing with food!!!! Comes back for one bite of something then runs off to play until he needs another. Hilarious! :)

Reply

yes everyone knows that part is the best~

I got lucky and my roommate moved her treadmill in when she did. We now have a little fitness room with some (very light) weights, resistance bands, and yoga mats. Plus the good ole TM :)

Reply

Oh my gosh. That is my Favorite Yogurt! The honey one is soooo good! I have to put it into a little glass bowl and really limit it or else I will eat the entire thing!!

Reply

Every day after school my son eats a bowl of that brand yogurt honey flavored topped with frozen fruit sprinkled with flax seed meal I kid u not! My other son requests pizza. Two very different boys who r 5 and 8.

Reply

I used to live and die by the elliptical but.. not so much anymore. But I still love it for a break on the knees or some cross training!

Reply

My favorite yogurt is from a local farm by my house. Full fat, sweetened with maple syrup, yummy yogurt!!
No equipment at home. Although I do have P90X but no motivation to workout at home. Love my gym membership.
Not a question today, but I LOVE hotel breakfasts. I will only book a hotel with free breakfast it is the BEST!!

Reply

We usually just get our grocery store brand of greek yogurt. It’s surprisingly good.

We have a treadmill at home and sometimes I borrow my mom’s bike trainer. Right now, though, our treadmill is waiting for some repairs, so I feel like I’ve lost a friend.

I really am not a fan of the elliptical. I never feel like I really accomplished anything after I get off of it.

Reply

I have a love/hate relationship with the Arc Trainer- my smooth gliding non-running machine of choice. I LOVE to watch the food channel and ride the arc trainer- yesterday I was XTing and caught Farmhouse Rules- I think I like it!

Home gym- weights, and a ball. LOTS of foam rollers, sticks, tennis balls.

Yogurt- it is SPLURGE but I am loving the citrus ginger flavor of Siggis Icelandic strained yogurt!

snack = dried fruit or chocolate chips standing in my pantry pretending no one is watching.

Reply

I like the elliptical, especially if I can increase the resistance a whole lot.
I have a treadmill (kind of noisy), elliptical machine, punching bag, yoga mat, weights, jumprope, stability ball, and resistance bands at my home.

Reply

The elliptical machine in my building’s gym is right in front of the tv with the cable box that works… So it has that going for it.

Reply

That photo of Brooke with her mouth open resembles a baby bird waiting for her momma to feed her. :-)

Reply

I love oikos raspberry or strawberry yogurt! It’s the best! I just to be all about chobani but I’ve crossed over. I’m not crazy about ellipticals either. I feel like I might as well run since I’m doing the same motion, but I think it’s cause I don’t like that tingly feeling i get in my feet on the ones at my gym.

She’s a smart girl! Grapes & donut frosting! Where can you go wrong?

Reply

I love Greek yogurt too! I love Fage & Chobani the most!

Reply

I really wish I liked yogurt! :( In a smoothie I can handle, and sometimes with honey, but straight up yogurt…nope!

That elliptical DOES look nice! I don’t mind it but my feet hurt after 30 minutes?!

I have a spin bike that takes up the better half of our dining room :) And I do use it at least once a week! I think it’d be fun to own a row machine.

Reply

I only like Chobani Flips key lime or coco loco. I literally have tried dozens of types and flavors of yogurt and these are the only ones I can tolerate (even though they’re loaded with sugar LOL).

I don’t mind the elliptical and I actually have one at home. It’s not gym quality, but gets the job done. I also have tons of other equipment because I used to work for a fitness supply company and we got everything at a steal price because we worked there. I’ve got kettlebells, dumbbells, yoga mats, resistance bands and all sorts of fun little goodies!

Reply

I love Chobani yogurt, especially the coffee/dark chocolate Chobani bites. So good!

I actually don’t mind the elliptical, as long as I have my music I can stay on there for at least 45 min.

I have an exercise bike that was a Christmas present to my dad a few years ago…he never uses it. I’ve tried it a couple times but I prefer the upright bikes. I have a few weights at my house but I prefer to do my strength training at the gym.

Reply

Noosa Yoghurt made in Colorado…AMAZING. Eat it…love it!

I don’t love the elliptical but its good for me. I have a yoga mat at home…haven’t been using it much though.
