It’s okay to be stalkerish when…

It is okay to take stalkerish pictures of your fitness instructor as she is walking across the room when she is one of your good friends.

I met Kim in college and she lives in the bay area now and she is an awesome pump instructor.  I will be sore for days so maybe we won’t be friends for the next little while until I feel normal again.

I did 3 miles before class to make it 49 miles of running this last week… yes, it is driving me crazy that I didn’t run just one more mile.

These two girls are also some of my college friends (it’s crazy how many of them ended up in the bay area after we graduated) and we met to take pictures in front of a Christmas tree..

And for lunch at Lyfe Kitchen. The eggplant flatbread in the back was my favorite.

My real favorite part was walking to a place called Cream for the best ice cream sandwiches ever.

Eating ice cream outside on the last day in November = awesome.

After lunch I went with my aunt to one of the fancy malls in the area and I saw a very simple vest that was $3,500… HOW!?!? Do you know how many bags of chocolate covered cinnamon bears that could buy me?!?

Next up we had a plank lesson for my aunt.  She is starting to incorporate planks into her daily workouts so we did them together on the kitchen floor and I showed her a bunch of variations.

Turns out that doing planks makes my bangs even more greasy than usual.

My mom and I had an awesome dinner together at some random restaurant that we found.

I had the pollo platter… chicken, fried potatoes and enchiladas.   My mom and I could not get over how much we loved her random find…

And the last two notable things of the day…

1.  Bangs House.

2.  Blogging while watching Full House.

So glad to read that you have been busy this weekend. Not running one more mile would have driven me crazy too :) So much so that I would probably “borrow” a mile from this week and in my mind add it to last weeks to make it an even mile ~ haa haa works in my mind:) So excited that you get to see little Brook today. Take a picture and post! I know she is going to be soooo happy to see you, Grandma, and of course your aunts little dog too!

Sounds like an awesome day! I did eat bfast yet, and all those yummy food pics are making me really hungry, as usual! :)

A vest at $3,500?? Seriously?? Was it a magic vest?? That’s even worse than the snowman ornament I saw for £1,795! It wasn’t even a particularly nice snowman ornament! Hugs to you and Brooke! :-)

Reply

But 49 is perfect square (7^2) so that’s a beautiful number and you should not be crazy at all :)

“like”
All of my family’s birthdays are prime numbers except the baby. We have a 5, 13, 13, 23 and then…30. So wrong. He put off being born four extra hours. Blew the whole thing. Don’t think we ever let him forget it.

Where is Cream?! I will be up there for Christmas and want to go!!!!
You are stronger than you know, making it through these days without your little one. I can’t imagine how difficult that would be. Enjoy your reunion!

Yay you get to see Brooke! And so do we!

Moms are the best. Seeing u with your mom right now (knowing u dont have Brooke this weekend) made me think of the time I called my mom crying at midnight, 12 hours after my baby was born. Crying because I had just had an unplanned csection and my baby was in the nicu struggling to breathe. It was just too much and the worst part was, I hadnt even held my baby! They wouldnt even let me touch her because she was so critical. my heart was hurting so badly but my mom talked me through it and cried with me, supported me through that really hard time. Thank goodness for moms!

Now I am focusing even more on my strength training because of u and the body pump classes. I realized I was being kind of lazy about it because I was loving my new found (over the last 18 mos) love of running. So now im trying to do both running and weight training with more focus. So thanks for the Inspiration :)

I’ve been to Cream, I think we sat at the same table. I didn’t know how big those ice=cream sandwiches were so ordered one for me and one for my three-year old. It was the size of his head. His sugar-high kept going for hours!

So happy for you that you get to see Brooke today! Sounds like you did a great job at keeping yourself busy with such amazing family & friends! I know the 49 miles would but me too lol. So I don’t blame you. I know you’ll have a wonderful reunion!!

Reply

It’s supposed to be ice cream weather where I live, too! 71 degrees on the first day of December is NOT my idea of wintertime. Bring me snow and hot chocolate and all of the christmas trees!

Reply

I just tried Group Power which is basically the same class as Body Pump, just under a different name. I am sore today, but in a good way! :)

Reply

I just love finding random tasty restaurants. Your dinner looks so so good! So exciting that you’ll have Brooke back today! :)

Reply

I love randomly discovering fabulous restaurants!

In college I had a ton of friends who were fitness instructors, and I kick myself in my booty now for not taking their classes, even though I am 99% positive I would giggle the entire class.

Reply

Even I miss Brooke! Can’t wait for the two of you to be reunited!

Happy December :) Glad you got to spend some time with good friends and have fun with family, too. And now you’ll have your girl again :)

Reply

Happy December 1st!! Yay for seeing Brooke today!

It’s December 1st so you know what that means! Time to break into the advent calendar! No cheating though, only 1chocolate a day ;) AND the 25 days of Christmas has started on abc family. Christmas movies everyday!
So glad you and Brooke will be reunited :)

Reply

Brooke?! :)
chocolate covered cinnamon bears sound amazing – is it similar to a cinnamon graham cracker covered in chocolate?

Reply

Your lunch and dinner look amazing! Where are the pics of plank variations? :) Hope you had a great weekend.

Happy Training

Yay–you and sweet Brooke reunited! Awesome. 49 miles in one week. You are a rock star. I am happy to get 49 miles in a month! I’ve been meaning to ask you if you are following a marathon training plan? If so, can you share it with us? Have a fabulous Sunday!

SO glad you get your Brooke back today. She’s going to be SO HAPPY to see you.

A vest for $3500? I would MUCH rather go to Paris for a week! I really need to start planking more. I’ve been slacking lately, but this post is making me get my booty back in order!

Reply

I love when you find the most random, awesome restaurant! We try to do that on our “adventure dates”. We’ll usually yelp something we’re craving and then pick whatever is highly rated. We’ve yet to find any place that has been a disappointment!

Reply

What an awesome day! I would like to try the ice cream sandwich place!

So parenthood and Hart of Dixie helped while I sat on my butt post egg collection. I just got a positive pregnancy test!!! I can’t wait to get the ok to run again!

Reply

Sounds like a perfect Sunday. The green color of that shirt looks great on you.

Reply

Happy to hear you are reunited with Brooke!
49 MILES THIS WEEK?! You are serioulsy an inspiration. I am crossing my fingers that one day I can run fast and far.
Today I ran my first 20 miler…it was exhausting and wonderful at the same time. I came home and collapsed on my couch and don’t plan on moving until it’s time for bed :)

Wow! That eggplant flat bread looks really delicious. I would love to try that. I am a gym addict and I really love working out. I guess I need to eat this after my workout. Glad that I have found this post.

Blogging while watching full house – doesn’t everybody do that? I think Saved By The Bell and Fresh Prince also deserve honorable mentions! :)

I’m not sure I could go to a pump class my friend taught. I usually end up cursing the teacher at some point along the way.

That food looks amazing!! Good find mom!!
