We had to get to the airport at early.com yesterday so a run did not occur. (And then our plane was 3 hours late… not my favorite thing).
Brooke and I were goners and slept for pretty much the entire flight.
Don’t be jealous of my veiny hands.
PS If you are wondering why I was wearing the same outfit (some may argue that I am wearing pajamas and not real people clothes) two days in a row… It is a long story and the story doesn’t really justify the situation so we will skip out on the explanation.
I had one diaper left in my possession when I got home so the first stop was to Costco to go buy 150 of them (gotta love bulk). While I was there I decided I was going to buy real groceries so that I stop eating out so much.
What I ended up leaving with: Qunioa, craisins, feta, spinach, wraps, beef jerky, chicken, shrimp and fruit leathers. I will probably buy most of my produce at the normal grocery store because I can’t finish off bulk produce all by myself (unless it is broccoli or spinach) before it goes bad.
I put Brooke down for a nap, had some church things to do and had enough time to fit 2 miles in on the treadmill… This is why I don’t run at night—> I know I won’t do it or I won’t get in a full workout. I started at 7.0 mph and bumped up the speed every 45ish seconds and ended at 9.6 mph (the fasted I have ever gone on my treadmill).
Dinner was a spinach salad with chicken.
Day #2 of our 25 Days of Christmas Traditions!!! Brooke and I went and picked out a Christmas ornament and of course she wanted a dog ornament.
We went over to my sister’s house to decorate the tree. We will be having Christmas morning at her house this year.
Add these to the list of traditions too. The mini peppermint waffles were the best in my opinion.
A question from a reader! I have never experienced problems with blisters so I was hoping that anyone that has could help her out in the comments!
“I have a question I am hoping you can help me with. I have been a runner for several years and haven’t had a real problem with blisters until about a year ago. Any time I run over 3 miles I come home with a blister. Some are small but some are rather large. I have tried different socks, shoes, loosening my laces or tightening them. I have also tried some foot powders. It makes running races very painful and about mile 8 I feel like I have to walk quite a bit because I just can’t run on them.”
Anyone have any recommendations for her? Have you ever dealt with blisters from running?
