My new favorite pictures and a giveaway from UTAH RUN!!!!

I have two new favorite pictures of Brooke…  Her little personality just jumps out of these pictures.

Whenever I am laying down on the ground (which is often) she loves to come over and tackle my head.

She thinks that she is absolutely hilarious whenever she sneak attacks me and she is getting pretty good at it.   My other favorite part about these pictures is the fact that Curly (my nickname for my niece) took them.  She is just 5 years old and she got my DSLR out of my bag on her own and started snapping pictures.  I see a future in photography.

Speaking of Curly, we celebrated her birthday yesterday.  She got a scooter and a sweet helmet.  She is the queen at posing, as soon as the camera comes out she gets into position.

This store has it all.  My favorite part about Utah Run—>  their workout clothes.  They offer a huge selection and they carry one of my favorite brands (MPG) which is a brand that has a lot of pieces that remind me of Lulu clothes but they are half the price.  I feel like Utah Run has figured out how to carry clothes that are extremely functional for our workout needs but also really fashionable and cute.  I pretty much wear what I got from this store all day long.

Fuel walls get me every time too (Honey Stinger Waffles and Shot Blocks are almost as good as candy).

The employees at Utah Run are very knowledgable, super friendly and help you to find the right stuff for you and your needs!  Go on over and check it out Utah Friends!

Have you ever seen one of these Flip Belts before?  Utah Run is the only store in Utah that carries them and they are awesome.  You put it around your waist, slide your things into the little pockets and then flip it over… Super comfortable, no way that things are going to fall out and an easy way to carry your stuff on your run.

This morning I hit up a Bar Method class. I absolutely love The Bar Method. It’s the perfect mix of strength and flexibility training. Two things we runners all need!!

Oh My God!! I really want one of those flip belts!! :) My last work out was some youtube videos yesterday night. I did some tracy anderson for arms. A tahitian dance cardio and some other dance videos.

My last workout was yesterday. I did three miles on the treadmill then came home and did laundry. Laundry totally counts as strength training (carrying heavy baskets of clothes) and cardio (carrying said baskets up and down stairs then folding clothes) in my book :)

I did 5 yassos this morning, along with some warm-up and cool-down miles, but there was a major thing missing! My watch…I woke up this morning to find out it hadn’t charged over night so I ran with my phone and used the stop watch. I think it worked out just as well!

My last workout was a lunchtime treadmill run – 3.25 miles. The building I work in just got a gym with awesome showers that we can use – for free! – so I snuck in a 30 min workout during my lunchbreak. AWESOME!

My workout last night consisted of the following on a spin bike aka my road bike on an indoor trainer. Give it a try if you enjoy a good sweaty spinning workout :) Base the levels on your experience and fitness level. For my level 4, I basically maxed out the resistance that I could handle for 5 minutes at a greater than 100RPM’s.
15 minutes Level 1 Warm-Up
4 min Level 4 greater than (>) 100RPM
5 min Level 2 (easy)
5 min Level 4 > 100RPM
5 min Level 2 (easy)
4 min Level 4 > 100RPM
10 min Level 1 Cool-Down

I then performed 3 sets of planks for a minute each, 3 sets of pull ups X 15, 3 sets of 20 pushups, and 3 sets of 13 front squats with weight/barbell.

My last work out was this morning at Bootcamp, it was the dirty 30 x 3. 30 each of burpees, jump lunges, cross county, boy band, walk outs, squat to jump, donkey kicks, dips, some other stuff and a short lap. The goal was 3 times in 35 minutes. And it was the first snow day in Boston!

My last workout was on Saturday. I walked/did squats all day in The Grove at Ole Miss. I walked from 9 am to 7 pm and helped put up and put down the tents and carried everything across campus.
