In need of a good sweat and GOOD LUCK!!!

I really needed a good sweat yesterday and so I made sure to get one.  I woke up early, had a ton of energy and started out my Saturday in my favorite way…  I did 2.5 miles on the treadmill, went to a pump class and then did another 7.5 miles outside.

Strength training with a group of people/fun music/an instructor that tells you what to do > anything I ever attempt to do on my own in the weight room.

After I got home Brooke and I went over to a friend’s house to take their family photos.  It is supposed to snow on Wednesday here in good ol’ Utah so we had to take advantage of the leaves while they can still be seen.

We had lunch together afterward at one of my favorites.

This is the roasted veggie and steak salad from Mountain West Burrito.  This restaurant is in a gas station type building so when you are driving by you would think that the food couldn’t possibly be good but it is amazing, fresh and really cheap for all that you get.   A hidden gem.

I found out yesterday that Brooke does NOT like going through the car wash.

She does like playing in the play place at the car wash while they clean the inside of the car.

PS I did not ask a random stranger to take a picture of us in the play place… my mom was with us.

Last night my sister and her husband invited me to go to the BYU basketball game with them.  Yes and yes.

Brooke has come a long way in her feelings toward Cosmo.  She likes him a little (a very little) bit more every time she sees him.

The BIL brought me up two pieces of pepperoni pizza.  He is a very good person.

And after the game I met up with a good friend of mine to split a cookie and I also had their Hot Lava (the thickest and most rich hot chocolate I have ever had).

Good luck to all of those running NYCM today.  I cannot wait to read all of the race recaps!

I just kind of liked that race;)

Sadly, running doesn’t feature on my ‘things I am doing’ list for today, as today is my designated ‘rest’ day.

Thanks for all your entries Janae – your blog is awesome, and I wish you all the best with your running, motherhood, blogging, and travelling to races – I don’t know how you do it all, you are such an inspiration hey.

From Lou :)

ps – Some of the things you write about really resonate with me hey, and just wanted to let you know that I feel exactly the same way about cereal! And for a time I didn’t go near the stuff either – actually, a lot of your past stories really resonate with me, and I feel I know where you’re coming from. If you ever come to China, please get in touch! Actually, there are a fair few awesome races held over here too – ever consider running on the Great Wall, or through groovy Shanghai?

Reply

pps – if you DO fancy a big trip to run a race in China, please let me know and I can give you the links/info etc. It would be an incredible experience I reckon!

All the best, and keep up the great work Janae. Cheers, Lou x

I’m a little jealous of the snow as it hasn’t snowed here (well anything significant) in two years! I want just ONE snow day off from school :)
