My first run on my treadmill and they had their baby!

Brooke has another little girl cousin!  Remember my brother and SIL in Arizona that I go and stay with often?  They had a healthy and gorgeous little girl yesterday and everyone is doing well.  I can’t wait to get down there ASAP.

(I always take a little credit for their children since I set these two up on a blind date:)

This is seriously what running in heaven feels like.  Every aspect of this treadmill was made for me.  You will hear a new detail of what I love about it every time I run on it.

I felt so fancy running on this thing today.  The fans on the rails are 1 million times stronger than the fans on my old treadmill.  It is also super quiet (compared to my old one) and for some reason I love that the cup holder is in the back (probably because I used to bump into it all of the time on my old one).

IMG 2152

I had an easy 5 miles on the schedule and stopped right at 5 even though I was tempted to keep going because it was so fun.

The touch screen is by far the coolest part and I love that it keeps track of your lap time because that will be awesome when I am doing speed work on the treadmill in the future.

DSC 6773

On Friday I will probably run parts of the Boston Marathon course:)  How cool is that?  The treadmill automatically matches the incline of the course (uphill and downhill).

DSC 6778

This is how Brooke feels about being strapped into the cart now that she thinks she should be walking everywhere.  Also, can we talk about her sweater pants for a second and why they don’t make these in my size.

IMG 2166

In case you need some new fall/winter workout gear… Costco has the cutest stuff right now.  I wanted each and every piece.

Quote of the month!  Paige sent this to me this morning and it is absolutely perfect.  I hope it helps someone else out there today!

Amen.

I like treadmill running every now and the. But much prefer the outdoors. Seriously, that treadmill already sounds so awesome. Can’t wait to hear more about it!

I have two nephews so far! One was just born last Saturday :) I love being an aunt, especially since my husband & I just got married & don’t plan on kids for a loooong time. So fun!

Reply

I saw that workout gear when I was at Costco Monday! So tempting!

Reply

I’m not the biggest on treadmill running, but I have to admit I’d be tempted to do so more often with that beast! Glad that you’re enjoying it!

Reply

I appreciate the treadmill when it’s freezing cold outside but it’s not my favorite thing. I always feel like if I don’t step right I”ll fall off!

I have a step-nephew but I haven’t met him yet!

Reply

Another reason I need a Costco membership! Workout clothes! Your treadmill looks surprisingly compact for something so amazing.

Reply

Treadmill running – 2. I really hate doing it, but I appreciate that it’s an option in an emergency.

I have 14 nieces and nephews and 1 on the way. 11 of them live within 10 minutes and 1 more within two hours. The other 3 and the one on the way are in Utah. We love it!

Reply

Such a fancy pants treadmill I love it! I do run on an incline but I prefer to run on the ‘mill for speedwork and do real hill work outside. I do run on 1 or 2 though when I’m on it just to simulate the real road.

Reply

That treadmill looks awesome, I don’t mind running on treadmills if they are nice ones. I have one in my garage which is great because with 4 little kids a lot of the times my only option is waking up at 4 and running in the garage but I definetely prefer the nicer treadmills at my gym (or outside) if I can make it work.

The closest Costco is an hour away from me which is probably good as I would go there much too often and spend WAY too much money!

I have 8 nieces and only 1 nephew (I make up for the lack of boys though because I have 3 boys of my own!).

Have a great day!

I am coveting your treadmill SO SO much. Gah. It is legit. I am so glad you got it and it is everything you wanted it to be. Love it so much!! I love treadmill running. So maybe a 7 or 8? I like outside more, but treadmill running has its perks. So convenient when you have kids, naps, etc and so nice to have during the winter months. And makes speed workouts easy. My treadmill is about the lowest of lows on the awesome scale though. lol.

I run at a 1-2% incline.

Congrats on the new niece! She looks adorable and your SIL looks waaay too good for just having a baby! I have 8 nieces and 2 nephews. Girl power?? ;)

Reply

I do love the treadmill! I’d say an 8 on the scale. A hundred years ago I read that you need to set the treadmill to 2% incline to get the same workout as the road. So I’ve always done that at the gym. BUT my NEW home treadmill ( Landice ) “2%” is more like a 5% so at home I set it only to 1%.

So happy that you are excited for your new treadmill. It looks awesome.

Reply

So glad to hear someone else say this! We have a Landice & it’s crazy fast & the inclines are nuts!

Reply

– I hate treadmill running but I’ve never ran on a fancy treadmill like that. I find the treadmill very boring compared to outdoors. I should probably change my opinion though because it usually means I stop running completely during the winter.

– I have 2 nieces and 1 nephew. I love them to death! They are all I’m ever going to have (boo to me for only having one sibling).

Reply

I like running on a “dreadmill” 0…never, notta…well okay maybe when there’s a snow storm, the end of the world or something equally apocalyptic , but otherwise I much prefer to run outside. Maybe I just need to test out a better treadmill…I’ve just never liked the ones the gym has.

I have 7 nieces and nephews, all under the age of 6. You can imagine family dinners on Sunday get kinda crazy.

Reply

Congrats on the new the addition to the family!

I would give running on a treadmill a 1. I pretty much only run on a treadmill if it is too icy to run. But your new treadmill does look awesome as far as treadmills go!

Reply

I really like to incorporate treadmill running into my routine every once in a while – it keeps things fresh. Although I can only wish I had a fancy Boston Marathon treadmill!

When I’m on the treadmill I HAVE to listen to music to keep from going crazy. However, when I run outside I never listen to music. I know when running on the street you should not listen to music because it’s a safety issue, but even when I’m somewhere safe I still don’t listen to it. Outdoors I like to listen to the sounds of nature and people!

Reply

That treadmill is seriously cool! I actually don’t mind running on the treadmill, I probably use it 3x a week. I always set mine at 1.5% incline, unless I feel like doing hills, but I usually don’t do those on the treadmill.

I don’t have many — only 3 nieces and 2 nephews. One of my sisters and one brother (there’s 5 total of us) don’t have any and don’t want any kids.

Reply

I love treadmill running! I run at a 1.0 incline…baby incline, but it works for me!

I have 4 nieces and 2 nephews…they’re all my little sweeties! Congrats on your newest niece!

Reply

I hate treadmills and would rather run in negative temperature and hurricanes (I’ve actually done that) but that one is SO COOL. I love that you can literally run the Boston course. It may be the best part of the whole thing.

Reply

I would run on a treadmill if I had yours!! So awesome! (Lucky girl for sure!)

OMG…that quote is perfect for our family right now…we are selling my hubby’s “Family’s” cabin that lot specifically has been in the family for 100 years!!!! Hard to let go for sure!!

Reply

I don’t hate treadmill running but I prefer to keep running outdoors until it gets too cold (read sub-60). I always keep it on 1% incline and like to incorporate some hill work to keep things interesting :)

Reply

I’m about a 5 on the treadmill. I love it during the winter cause I refuse to run in the dark outside. During the summer I want nothing to do with it. I always keep it at a 1% incline htough I’m tempted to do some hill work on it. Just haven’t done it yet.
I have two nephews and they are so much fun.

Your treadmill looks amazing! Glad you are having fun on it :)

Reply

Congratulations on your new niece! I have a hard time getting on the treadmill. I have to really give myself a pep talk, or put in a good movie. I haven’t been on one in months, but as winter approaches, and it’s my only option to run, I will have a better attitude! I don’t run with an incline, I think treadmill running is hard enough, I’m lazy and don’t want to make it worse ;) I will try to add some incline this winter!

Reply

I hate treadmill running. The only thing I feel like it’s good for is making me run slow on recovery days – and that’s because I can run a 10:00 min pace on it and it might as well be my 8:00 pace – feels the same to me! I’ll do it if I have to, and be glad you missed Utah last winter because the cold I can do, the NASTY AIR QUALITY was what put me on the treadmill last winter. I don’t run on an incline because, like I’ve mentioned, treadmill running for me is hard enough as is :)

Quote is awesome. And so true. I’m one of those people that has a hard time stopping and appreciating everything, and it’s a good reminder :)

Reply

I give a treadmill a 9 if it is a very good treadmill, if I am doing speedwork or something to change the pace up consistently, and it is only once a week or so. Other than that, if I need to run 7+ miles at a slow or steady pace, I need to be outside and I give the treadmill a 3.

How does your coach feel about you doing treadmill running? I know you mentioned a while ago he wanted you to be outside. I think mixing it up is good.

Also (sorry for the long post) when I lived in China, babies and young kids wore sweater pants like that all the time in the winter. Their grandmas would knit them in like a day. It was fascinating to watch them knot so fast.

Reply

Target has sweater leggings for adults!! I just bought two pairs yesterday. :)

Reply

I was just going to say that! i saw them there too!

Reply

No nieces and nephews yet…but I do LOVE the treadmill. I know. I’m crazy.

Reply

Sometimes I feel like quite a running anomaly since I really enjoy running on a treadmill… let’s go with a 7.2. I like being able to really zone out and listen to a podcast. I don’t listen to music while I run outside so its kind of a treat to have music or a show on while I’m on the treadmill. Usually I just put the incline on .5 or 1, and sometimes I’ll warmup by walking at a higher incline.

I don’t have any nieces or nephews yet! I’m an only child, so no chance on that side of the family. My husband has a younger sister and brother though so there is still hope!

I’m glad you’re keeping us posted on the Boston treadmill! I’m planning on purchasing a treadmill after the baby is born in January, so that I can watch baby while I run, instead of leaving little one with the husband or a sitter.

Reply

Now that I have a “new” treadmill? I would rate it a 9. I can’t really believe I even wrote that…

Incline depends on the kind of run but I should probably use it more. But running on 0.0 is just so much easier! :D

2 – One nephew, One niece. Both deliciously adorable.

Reply

Haha oh treadmill running…something I do not enjoy. I run for fun, and treadmill running is just not fun for me. I have run 3 miles on a treadmill in the last 3 years…(I am more of a skip it if you are not feeling type of person, and treadmills=automatically dont feel it)

HOWEVER, if I had such an awesome treadmill, for my own, at my own house, where I could watch tv shows or something…I could probably overcome my dislike. ;)

Reply

So glad you love your new treadmill! It looks amazing! I go in phases with the good ol’ treadmill. I like it a lot more during the cold months because I hate running in frigid winter weather.

Brooke looks so grown up in that photo of her in the cart! She is all sorts of cuteness.

I saw all of those adorable fitness clothes at Costco too. Cody had to hold me back.

Reply

Meh, I’m not the biggest fan of running on a treadmill, but if necessary, I will! ;) Lucky you for getting that awesome one!!! Love that quote. Ain’t it the truth.

xo

Reply

Congrats to your brother and SIL! What a precious little girl.

As much as I love to hate on ’em, I can’t deny that treadmills definitely have some perks. One is that they don’t kill my legs the same way that the pavement does, and another is that I don’t have to worry about getting tired when I’m far away from home and not wanting to turn around and go back. That and there’s the added bonus of magazine reading and TV watching.

Reply

A big fat 0 for the treadmill. Although I’m a little jealous that you can simulate running on the Boston Marathon course.

Reply

Congratulations on your new little niece!! :)

Reply

I saw sweater leggings on Jane.com not too long ago that were for adults. You could rock those.

I despise the treadmill, I only run on it when its too icy to run outside or its lightning.

Reply

i’d give it a 3. definitely prefer outside, but i appreciate the treadmill for those days when the weather is absolutely terrible and/or i need to catch up on an episode of The Bachelor.

Reply

congratulations on your new niece! Sweet!
I have 25 nieces and nephews on my side of the family and 18 on my husbands side. COOL, huh? Love it. In fact I wanted to have at least 4 kids (and I do) in the hopes that they would give me lots of grandkids someday. (If they can handle it of course)

I like running on the treadmill because it MAKES me run and I’ve been trying some speed work lately and that’s easier for me to attempt when the belt is going so fast. So I guess I would give my treadmill love an 8 out of 10. oh and I’ve been running at a 1% incline lately but I think its time to try a 1.5%.

Your new treadmill is so awesome I am still so happy that you won it!

Why does Brooke look so big all of a sudden! Wow!

Love that quote from your friend. You are blessed and you will continue to be blessed, no doubt in my mind.

Reply

I actually like treadmill running! I LOVE to do interval training on it and sprints in between my circuit workouts! Your new treadmill looks incredible! I didn’t even know they made touch screen treadmills!

Congrats on the new member of your family! She’s beautiful!

Reply

The baby is beautiful!

I always put at least a little incline when I’m on the treadmill – otherwise I kind of feel like I’m cheating.

Reply

Congratulations to your brother and sister in law!
I don’t mind running on the treadmill too much, it’s nice to have a warm place to run when it’s freezing outside (although I dont think NJ gets as cold as it does by you :p).
The nearest Costco is an hour away from us! I would live there if it were closer :)

You look so happy running on that treadmill! And Brooke’s hair is just the cutest with her bangs and headband.

I love the quote that Paige sent you. It takes some time to get to that place, but definitely true in the end.

I do not like running on treadmills at all! Not even a little bit. Nope.

Hope you’re enjoying your day, Janae!

I have 6 nephews and 6 nieces. :) And that’s all on my husband’s side of the family–my siblings haven’t started having kids yet, so someday I’m sure we’re going to have at least double that! :)

I don’t really like treadmill running, but I think I would if I had THAT treadmill! That virtual BM course is so cool!!!!!!

Reply

Congrats on your little niece!! She is a cutie :)

I LOVE to run on the treadmill. I ran 24 miles last winter on one because it was just too cold to run outside. Thank goodness for Netflix and Arrested Development. Those 4 hours just flew by ;)

Reply

Sometimes I like treadmill running……I try not to do it too often though because I tend to get numbers obsessed. In fact, I’ve been thinking of getting a cardio machine and I’ve decided it won’t be a treadmill. Maybe an elliptical. I don’t want to be on it day and night. haha.

I have one niece and two nephews. My nephew just joined the running club at his school. He has a 5k in a couple weeks. I’m SO excited.

Reply

Not a big fan of the treadmill. I have a gym membership so I have somewhere to run when it’s frigid outside. I don’t mind it too much, but I know if I had one at home I would never use it! I’m about a 5 and I always have a little incline.

I have 7 nieces and 8 nephews. They range from 1 year to 22 years old. I love them all to pieces and think they are awesome!

Reply

I have 16 nieces and nephews

Reply

Whoops.. my 10 month old hit enter for me. 16- 1 from my sister and 15 on my hub’s side.

Treadmill running= a 3. Treadmill walking doing incline work = 9.

I just got a new little niece, too! And she’s the most precious thing ever. I was so happy to get to visit her this weekend!
Treadmill is, unfortunately, a 0 for me. I just can’t do it!

Costco has clothes?! I need to get there! I like treadmill runs for speed work, but I know in the winter I will need one to keep my running going! Congrats to your SIL and brother! So sweet!

Congrats on the new niece! So exciting, what did they name her??

I’m super jealous of your new tready, I would run on that thing every day if I were you. I have a real love/hate with the treadmill. I go through phases, right now I’m really loving running outside in the crisp Fall weather.

I don’t have any official nieces/nephews, but my cousin (who is basically like my sister) had a baby in February and I call her my niece, and my boyfriend has 4 nieces which will one day be mine if we get married. lol

Reply

I don’t like treadmill running much at all. I would give it a 2.

I have 13 nieces and nephews. The oldest just turned 22 on Monday. The youngest turned 5 weeks old yesterday.

Reply

I used to run on the treadmill all the time and then this fall I took it outside and I love running outside more, but if I do like the treadmill for when it’s raining and I’m catching up on my dvr.

Reply

I really hate the treadmill. I have not run on it since probably March. Although, last winter the treadmill and I were forced to get along because the weather was so bad I had no choice. And I vaguely remember getting used to it and not hating it as much as I think I do at the moment. Your new treadmill looks awesome though! Enjoy.

Reply

I love the treadmill and only run on it. I do not run outside. I like being in a comfortable temperature, having a fan on me, listening to music and totally zoning out.. I never worry about it being too dark, rainy, cold, cars, dogs, or having to watch where I am going.. Just get on, zone out and get my miles in. So for me it is a 10.

We love Costco but our money just seems to disappear fast when we are in there, so we limit our visits to once every 4 -6 weeks or so.

Congrats on winning that cool new treadmill.. It looks amazing, enjoy your winter runs in comfort :)

Reply

Zero love for the treadmill, although that is how I got started running about 17 years ago! I split my time between So Cal and Hawaii – no need to run indoors!

I have 6 nieces and 3 nephews – no kids of my own. I love being an aunt!

Reply

You mean the dreadmill? Yeah, definitely not my fav, but it works great when I don’t have someone to watch my kiddos. At the gym, I always run on an incline, but I can’t do it at home because my treadmill makes way too much noise. I have 4 nieces, 5 great nieces, 5 nephews, and 3 great nephews, so 17 in total. I <3 being an aunt! It's the best.

Reply

Well, I’m going to say about a 4 on treadmill running. It doesn’t excite me on a day to day basis. I do own a used Landice which I got for a steal. It is nice to have access to the ‘mill if the weather is really bad (not often in California but certainly necessary in Utah!), or I am lacking in motivation to go outdoors. I set the incline at 3% (2% for speedwork rarely) and use it for supplemental short runs mostly.

I have two nieces and one nephew. Love them all…

Reply

Yay for a new baby! I’m the oldest, so no nieces or nephews in my family. I decided I need to marry into a family that already has them so I don’t have to wait for my siblings to getting married and have kids haha
So jealous of your treadmill. Looks awesome!!

What an adorable little one! Congrats, and good job setting them up!

I’m not a huge fan of treadmill running, but I do it out of necessity. Since I run at pretty odd hours (4am, hello) and I don’t have a jogging stroller, treadmill it is. I run at a minimum 2.0% incline for extra credit ;) I think if I had a treadmill like that, I’d never want to get off!

Reply

Aww, congrats to your brother & sister in law!

Your treadmill looks amazing — so fancy!

And I think I may have to make a trip to Costco soon. I’ll take one of everything please :)

Reply

Now THAT is a thing of beauty!

When are you posting a vid of you running on it? PLEEEASE!!!!

I much prefer to run “in the great outdoors” but that isn’t always possible here in Canada. My treadmill is an eBay junker though, so I don’t really dig it, but it will do in a pinch. I prefer to x-train (skate ski, or classic xcountry ski, or ride my roadbike on a trainer on my deck–yes, in winter, I just layer up an peel them off as I ride. It’s very cool, like road riding outside in the winter!).

Tell Mer and Bangs I said hi!!!

And congrats on your new niece :)

oh yeah, and GREAT QUOTE!!! XOXOX

I like it about -5. Hate it! I do a 1% incline when I have to run on one. I don’t have any nieces or nephews! Btw, that video of you in the last post is ADORABLE!

Oh. My. God. That treadmill is ahmazing! I need it.

Ugh. Running on the treadmill is probably one of my least favorite things. I find it so boring, and I always let my mind’s boredom translate into exhaustion and give up.

I’m so glad you’re loving your new treadmill, though!

Wow – Brooke looks so grown up in that picture!!!
Your new treadmill looks awesome – I’m a huge treadmill fan!! The belt doesn’t look very long – does it make you nervous?

Reply

I love treadmill running…probably like an 8. Some people get bored but I really just enjoy zoning out. Brookes pants should definitely come in adult sizes. They are adorable!

Reply

I am SO jealous of that treadmill! I *think* I hate running on the treadmill, but ours is so, so old (doesn’t have a touch screen, or even a COLORED screen, any real type of measurement and no fans!). This makes me think that with the right, updated treadmill, it might not be so bad!

Reply

You look so happy on that thing! I am not a treadmill fan but do groove on the elliptical. Congrats to your brother and SIL!!! About the cart…I remember putting off shopping way too long when my oldest was about 1 because he hated the cart at that point. I ended up needing to do Costco, TJ’s and Target all on the same day and having to carry him the whole time. And I wonder why my hip’s been screwed up for so long :P I have 2 nieces and 2 nephews all on my husband’s side (I’m an only child). Our kids comprise more than two-thirds of the grand kids.

Reply

Over the past year I’ve really learned to like the treadmill! (7.5/10?!) no incline although I’ve heard there’s actually a slight decline if you are at zero. Ever heard of this or did I make it up??

Also, Costco sells workout clothes?! Now I really need a membership.

Glad to hear you love your new treadmill! Looks amazing! Looking forward to hearing all the new details :)

Have a great rest of your week HRG!

I kinda hate treadmill running….at least right now…maybe come winter I will like it more. It is really hard to get back into after summer and fall running outside. I am actually oozing jealousy iver that treadmill though! Fans on the rails….seriously! Mine doesn’t have fans anywhere, I just open a window :)…and a touchscreen are you seroious?!?! Thatbis just awesome!!!

I have only been a runner for about 8 months and have ran on the treadmill only my last 2 runs. So far, I don’t love it. I really miss outside!
Your new niece is super cute! Congrats. I have 30 nieces and nephews!
P.S. I actually do own some sweater pants. They are actually leggings, and I love them!

Reply

I would rate my feelings of the treadmill at a 1. That is, a 1 being I pretty much hate the treadmill. Luckily I live in Florida where it may be miserably hot, but technically there is nothing to stop you from running year-round. My only nieces and nephews are on my husbands side. We have 4 nieces and one nephew.

Reply

I give the treadmill a 7. I used to hate it and would have given it a 0, but I started doing some speedwork on it and all of a sudden I am finding myself enjoying it. It’s weird, but I am soaking it in. Love your new one! It looks pretty awesome.

How can I enter a contest to win one of those!? Hope you enjoy every single mile ran on it and if you don’t….then enjoy the miles after your done. :)

5 – don’t love but don’t hate treadmill running. It gets the job done now that I have a baby :) I generally just use it for speed work and do it at a 1.5% incline

On a scale from 0 to 10 (10 being you love it) how much do you like treadmill running? Be honest!
-Err…it can vary! I love it more if I have absolutely no other option. It is nice that if there’s a tornado going on, I still have a place to run.

If you do run on the treadmill… do you run on an incline?
– Yes and I will change the incline as I go to match how it is on roads or trails.

Treadmill at my gym? 3
Fancy treadmills at the gym where I used to live: 8

I typically run on a .5-2% incline since I only run on the treadmill to practice for running outside, lol.

I’m not a treadmill fan but I tolerate it BC it beats running in the Ohio snow. We just got a Costco by my gym! Just opened 2 days ago so I’ll have to check out their workout clothes! Can’t have too many ;)

Honestly treadmill running is probably about an 8 right now for me! That could be partly due to the fact that I CAN’T run right now do to a femoral stress fracture, so anything would be amazing to me right now!

Congrats on the new niece Janae!

Treadmill running is usually a 9.99 outta 10 for me, but I was spoiled all last week with running outside so my 9 miles on the treadmill felt like a prison today. I have to address my treadmill setup (no TV, looking at a wall) before winter takes over. That Boston treadmill is deadly! I really hope Canada Costco has running clothes (we don’t always get the same stuff as the US which is lame).

I just want you to know I find you very inspiring. The quote hit home tonight. I personally am going through separation after 6 years with my boyfriend and my days are extremely up and down, like a rollercoaster of emotion really. I find my training therapeutic and I look forward to it everyday, and also the copious amounts of sweets I’ve been eating afterwards haha! Thank you for sharing your positive attitude and zest for life, it helps more than you know.

I have to say treadmill running is like an 8. I like it much better than outdoor running. The only thing outdoor running has over treadmill (for me) is the sun/fresh air.

I always run at 2.0% incline.

I have 5 nephews, 3 nieces, 1 niece on the way (due next month) and 1 nephew on the way (due Feb).

Congratulations on your new niece!

Reply

To be honest, I would probably have to say 3. I don’t completely hate it, because sometime’s it’s a necessity, especially when running in an unsafe part of town, or at night, or squeezing a workout in, etcetra…

I usually run at a 1.5% incline if I can choose it. Our treadmill, which is pretty old, is stuck on a permanent incline, so that’s what makes running on it not as fun.

No nieces or nephews yet… :)

I LOVE running on the treadmill. Honest. I take my ipad and watch things like gossip girl, revenge, glee….all the shows I wish I had time to watch at home. There are always lots of people at the gym to talk to.

I don’t typically run at an incline, but had to work some in this year because I am running the NWM in San Fran next week! The first half looks really hilly, the second half not so bad.

I don’t have any “official” nieces and nephews because I am not currently married, but my boyfriend has several and that makes them mine too. 2 nieces, 2 nephews. I hope there are more soon!

Seeing how adorable Brooke is does NOT help my baby fever. We need a baby in the the extended family. STAT!

Hi! I have just recently discovered your blog, and am loving reading your updates and seeing your pictures. Your blog has been pretty inspiring as I have recently gotten back into running after a long absence from it.

Truth be told, I really don’t like running on a treadmill, so I would rate it at a 3. There’s something to be said about actually feeling the progress and distance you’ve accomplished… I just don’t really feel that with a treadmill.

Congratulations on your new niece! I have 10 nieces and nephews, all on my husband’s side of the family, and they’re not done yet. :)

Hey!

I love it! I prefer outside but in the bad weather or when it starts to get dark earlier at night I’m in the gym on the treadmill!

hmmm. I actually kinda like the treadmill…. i Would give it a 7. One time I was away on a rotatoin for school (I am a PA) and it was dangerous area and i had to train for philly marathon. i ran 18 miles on a treadmill. i thought i would gain hatred for the thing but i gained a new respect for it haha

If you do run on the treadmill… do you run on an incline? yes at a 1.0…what do you run at?

How many nieces and nephews do you have? 0! not yet anyway. congrats on the baby!! so cool that you set them up!!

oh and i love that quote…it really is just perfect

I really like my treadmill. Mostly I walk fast, I rarely run. Usually I watch one whole movie while doing it.

2 nephews! I adore them, but the small one is really cranky:)

I’m not the biggest fan of running on a treadmill. It’s too easy to just turn it off and stop, I go outside because I still have to run back home. I do use it for working out though, like using the belt for resistance (walking on it barefoot and pushing the belt myself).

I *sort of* have 2 nephews. My boyfriend and I aren’t married but we just celebrated the birth of our son and our 9 year anniversary on the same day. But he’s got 2 nephews (5 and 2 yrs old) that I adore and spoil when I can.

Oh, and we’re finally getting a Costco here in Southern Maryland, but it won’t be till next year… but we’re getting one..

I have ZERO nieces and nephews but I can’t WAIT until I do!! :)

I have a treadmill and although i appreaciate running on it when it is super dark, cold and snowy- i also hate it because, well, it’s not the same as pounding the pavement!
Wait til you run the Boston course for REAL. You will love it :)

Congrats on your new niece!!!! Lucky you!!

LOVE the quote! Have a great day ;)

I am so happy that you love the treadmill, you deserve it! My boyfriend’s brother and sister-in-law just had their third daughter a few days ago, I cannot wait to meet her. I love the quote and your strength during this time.

I dislike treadmill running immensely. if it was my only choice I would likely just walk it on a high incline.

I have a niece and a nephew. And my (sort of) sister in law is due to have her first baby girl in February so I will have another niece!

they sell those leggings in target for adults!

Man I wish we had room to put in a treadmill! It’s mornings like this when it is cool and pouring rain outside that I would love to be able to just hop on the treadmill! You totally deserve a new one and such a running inspiration!

Congratulations to your family on the little one!!! Love babies!

My treadmill looks similar to that one! I love the screen on it!

I canceled my costco membership about 2 years ago and I’m secretly hoping I get a new costco membership for christmas. I miss it so much for the food and the clothes!

Though I love outdoor running WAY more, I like being able to watch movies on the treadmill!

I usually run with a slight incline, but if I’m just pushing to get through a run, 0% incline it is!

No official nieces, but I treat my boyfriend’s niece like she’s all mine (and she calls me aunty, so I’m a sucker for life! :] ) xx

Nice treadmill! In the winter, I rate it an “8,” but in the summer, it’s down near a “3.” I always set it at either .5 or 1% incline rather than 0. Sometimes it’s just nice to tune out and just run on the mill while mindlessly watching HGTV or drooling over the food channel.

I love my treadmill!!! Between it’s nifty speakers (for audio books, music, or watching Netflix) and it’s fan – it is my favorite way to run. Definitely a 10. Also, I have to run really early in the morning and I hate running in the dark. The only downfall is the timer won’t go past 99:59 and you have to hop off to restart, but I always feel pretty tough when I run farther than the timer allows.

I didn’t used to use an incline, but that kind of bit me in the butt when I did my first half last month and discovered hills and heat, so I’ve started using a 1% incline and would like to work up to 1.5 or 2, and save the outdoor running for the weekends.

I have two beautiful nieces (6 and 9) that I love to death.

I am an outdoor runner most of the time but I would LOVE to run on a treadmill like that! So fancy! Brooke’s face – adorable!

That treadmill is bomb.dot.com! I HATE treadmill running but I think I’d like it a bit more with that beauty hanging out in my one-bedroom apartment.ermm….

Good thing I was planning on going to Costco this weekend. Although I do not need anything else, but since when is that a valid excuse? ;)

I would say I like treadmill running at about a 6 – in general. If it’s icy and windy and nasty out, that number may be higher :)

Does anyone tell you that Brooke looks more like your mom every day? ! Also those sweater leggings are too much :-)

I just emailed this post to my husband with the caption…I seriously want this treadmill!

I’m thinking that treadmill would cure some of my dreadmill anxiety. In fact, I love the treadmill when I go anywhere other than my house so I obviously have a crappy one and NEED one like yours!

Reply

Well, I’d say I hate treadmill running but I always have to run on a treadmill that doesn’t have things like fans or cup holders so you know obviously I’m missing something… Here’s to hoping someone chooses to put this cadillac of a treadmill up on Craigslist.

1. Brook’s hair is getting so long!!
2. Beautiful baby cousin! :)
3. That quote is totally right!! LOVE it!
4. I’m jealous of your treadmill!! That thing is a beast and totally awesome!!
5. I use the word “totally”, totally too much! ;)
6. I hope you are having a great week Janae! I’m sending hugs and prayers your way! :)

1. *Brooke’s (sorry… I’m typing with 3 out of 5 fingers and it’s kinda difficult! lol) … reason coming up on my blog later today! ha! ;)

umm… we still need a few more lunch dates (or fro yo or diet cokes or something) before I go back to work (sniff sniff).
and I want to steal your treadmill (and Brooke’s sweater pants!)

I HATE treadmill running. But I think that’s because I have never had a nice treadmill to run on. Old treadmills in a sweaty gym were no good. That baby in my living room would be perfect. Santa? Are you listening ?

Reply

0!!! Hate the dreadmill. I have 0 nieces and nephews, though my husband has 2 so I’ll count them :)

I’m actually one of the few who actually enjoy running on the treadmill. I prefer to get outside, but if I can’t, I love that I can get on and off and walk to my bathroom and take a shower. I usually always run on atleast a 1% incline since everything is pretty flat in Houston. I have two nephews and one niece.

Reply

I prefer outside but it gets so cold here that its necessary in the winter. Also I hate running when its really windy.

I’d love that treadmill it looks amazing!

YAY for your first run on the new treadmill. Did you pick a name yet?! ;)
I seriously want a new treadmill, ours was given away before we had Gabriella because we didn’t have enough room with the pack n play…but now that she doesn’t use the pack n play there is room! (well, I will MAKE room!)
& HUGE CONGRATS to your SIL & brother. Beautiful little girl!

I’m so glad that you’re enjoying your prize! Brooke’s hair is getting so long, super cute!

I don’t love it…but it certainly beats running in the snow

I’m so jealous of that treadmill! It’s amazing! :)

I honestly just started running on a treadmill literally this week. I’ve done it twice. Ever. It’s not bad, but I get scared I’m gonna hit the side or something. I actually did last night and almost went down, but it’s because I turned my head to the side to talk to my wife and wasn’t focused on foot placement and went a little off center. It’s not bad so far though.

I have one niece that I see once a year if I’m lucky because they live in Vegas and I’m on the east coast.

Reply

I don’t mind the treadmill. As long as I have a tv or music, I’m good.

No nieces or nephews yet!

I am in love with your new treadmill :D

The picture of Brooke in the cart kills me. So freaking adorable. That treadmill was made for you. :)

I HATE treadmill running. I wish I could run to Costco right now, I want their stuff.

I also know things have been rough lately, I hope you are taking time for you. You are important to me, and your family and not to mention Brooke. So please take care of you.

Not a huge treadmill running fan. But maybe I should give it a second chance!

Congrats on the little one!!

I have 3 nephews and 1 niece.

I live in an area in Florida with zero jogging paths so treadmills are my only friend :)

I know some people have suggested other places to get the leggings, but I get mine off eBay because they’re the cheapest I’ve found and I’m a penny pincher :)

P.s. I’m pretty sure I need to take a break from reading your blog every day because I had a dream last night I was hanging out with you guys haha hope that’s not creepy?!

I get bored on a treadmill in about two seconds. I also run SOOOOO much slower that it is tough on the ego ;-) So, I would have to say that I am at a 1. Maybe if I had that super cool on you just got I would like it a lot more! My niece was born on Monday!!!!!! And I have one nephew who is 2. Things are getting exciting :-)

Reply

That treadmill is awesome! How do you get Brooke’s hair looking like that? It’s absolutely adorable. And all of her outfits make me really want a girl! My two boys don’t dress nearly as cute, although they are matching in their “I Love My Bro” shirts today!

Reply

Congrats on your new niece! I have zero (#onlychildproblems) but hope I marry a boy with siblings that have/want kids!

On a scale of 0-10, I like running on a treadmill a 0. I don’t even have a membership to the gym… I’d rather run in 10 feet of snow (and I’ve ran on 1-2 feet of packed snow) rather than the treadmill.

Reply

That treadmill looks amazing. I’m jealous. I actually really love treadmill running. I usually go through phases where I exclusively want to run on ours. Then I realize that I should probably go outside because the weather is so nice and the dog needs exercise.

Reply

I finally gave our “dreadmill” away. Hate it. I’d rather run outside in the rain/snow/sleet. Though I don’t want to sound too dramatic since I live in N. Cal and we rarely have anything too drastic.

Reply

I love my treadmill!!! I go back and forth between my elliptical and treadmill. I can’t do a whole lot of running right now (long story) but I’m doing a lot of inclines and walking. When I do run I run on an incline of 2-3. Love love love Costco! And I have 9 nieces and nephews and two more on the way!!
