This last Saturday was my THREE YEARS of blogging anniversary. That is kind of a lot of blogging. You’d think I would have figured out proper spelling and grammar after that many blog posts… I’m working on it;)
You’ve been there through the ups (my favorite up ever—>BROOKE) and the downs and stuck by me through it all. Thank you. I appreciate you more than you will ever know.
You can check out my first post ever HERE! Life sure has changed over the last three years.
I am flying out to NYC this morning (yes, I realized I could have skipped 9 hours of flying by just staying out there in between events but I had to have at least a few hours with Brooke) and I will be back to Utah for good on Wednesday.
Brooke and I had a perfect morning together.
My workout was foam rolling. Lots of it because those hills from the three races ate my quads and right IT Band alive.
Icon Fitness gave me this awesome 3-in-1 foam roller (you can find them cheapest at Walmart) —> A massage stick and a high and low density foam roller. All three saved my life at some point this weekend and you have to admit that it is kind of cool that they can all fit in the big blue foam roller.
Brooke is so incredibly generous with her food (at least one of us is). She will try and feed anyone and everyone that is near her when she is eating.
She is also obsessed with the piano lately and dances while she plays (video coming soon).
We also had an intense conversation with Maggie.
Paige dropped off airplane necessities right before I left. Nothing like new music and candy.
The SLC airport has Cafe Rio in their food court. You know where you can find me.
Bloggers reading: How long have you been blogging for?!?! Make sure you leave your blog link in the comments so we can check it out!
Are you feeling any running related aches or pains right now?
Elizabeth @ my neon running shoes
You and your awesome blog have helped so many people! Keep it up, we love you!!!
I’ve been blogging for awhile (since the livejournal days) – but I’ve really focused on my runningfoodbaby.com blog since April 2012
Happy Anniversary!!! Any chances you’ll have 5min for some Froyo with your NYC readers while here?!?
The Hungry Runner Girl
Hey!!! Could you meet at 16 Handles at 12:30 pm tomorrow? It’s on 2nd ave between 81st and 82nd :)
leigh @ beach and back runner
A week :)
My hips are killing me today from RW Festival this weekend (or maybe the bad shoes I wore to work?)
Brooke is the cutest!
Gabby @ Marathons and Macarons
Happy Anniversary and I second Martina’s request – any time for a froyo date with us NYers?!
I’ve been blogging for a year and a half at marathonsandmacarons.com :)

Hey!!! Could you meet at 16 Handles at 12:30 tomorrow? It’s on 2nd ave between 81st and 82nd :)
Kristen @ notsodomesticated
Congrats on 3 years! That is so awesome! :) I’ve been blogging for 2 1/2 years now. I don’t know how you do it multiple times a day, though! You’re super woman! ;)
I have hit my 3 year blogging mark as well as of last month! :)
How fun! That is an awesome first post! I will have been blogging for three years on december 21st. So I guess that puts you exactly two months ahead of me! :D
My blog is Overflow at http://Proverbsnineteen21.wordpress.com
…running aches and pains are all over right now. I’m just starting my 3rd week of running with a double stroller (my second is 6 weeks old!) and I’m feeling it everywhere. Mostly in my tired feet though!
caitlyn @ city and the cubicle
yay happy 3 years!! so glad you blog :) i’m 11 months in.
Colleen @ CSmithRun
I started blogging about 5 months ago! It made my summer and my training a million times more fun! I started as a way to share my Chicago Marathon training with others, but now that it’s over I’m going to keep blogging because it’s so great.
I don’t have any particular running pains right now…one week ago I would’ve told you that even my face was sore…probably because I was so happy to have ran a PR and smiled a lot. So that counts as running related right?
Congratulations on 3 years! I hope you’ll continue- I love following your stories and you were one of my main influences to start my own! I’m still super new- my blog has been up for about 2 months now. http://www.jgoingthedistance.com
Allison @ Delightfully Ridiculous
I’ve been blogging off an on since 2009- but I only had about 8 posts in 2009. Ha! 2012-2013 have been much more consistent, thought I admire you for posting everyday!
I think it’s so sweet you had to go home to see Brooke even if it was just for a little while. Hope you have a wonderful trip!
I had to look it up, but I started blogging in August 2008. But I’ve gone from 100+ posts a year to this year, where I’ve had I think 15. (Been a busy year.)
And I was just super tired for my run today. The bad news I received last night (latest blog post) meant a pretty restless night for me.
Yay for you! I, too, love reading about your day-to-day activities and seeing how adorable Brooke is. I’ll never be as speedy as you, but I get motivated to do the best I can when I read about your training runs, races, and workouts. Great job, Janae! I’m fairly new to blogging… about 6 months now: http://skinnykimmierunsit.blogspot.com
Katie @ Bevo Loves an Aggie
This is my second blog, and I started it about a year and a half ago. I had a different blog for about three years before that!
My quads are a little sore bc I ran for 25 minutes straight on Saturday night! I know that’s not much considering last year this time I was three weeks from a marathon, but with all the health issues I’ve been having, I was shocked that I could do it and it felt as awesome as finishing the marathon!
Safe travels and happy blogiversary!!!
I didn’t realize we had been blogging roughly the same amount of time. I’ve learned and met so many great people through blogging (we will meet and race together some time!)
That’s great you were able to see Brooke for a few days but makes for so much travel. (Might as well just staying until NYCM now ;))
Happy Blogging anniversary – it’s exciting to think where you may be in three more years!
No aches or pains today – phew! Just cold hands even here in the Bay Area!
Jessica R @ fromthekitchentotheroad
I am about 2 weeks or so from my 1 year blogiversary. I am pretty excited. Happy Blogiversary to you!
Congrats on 3 years… your one of the few I read on a daily basis. So glad I found your blog last year!!!
I’ve been blogging about my family since 2007, but last year 2012 was my first year of blogging only about my running fitness and losing 50 pounds!
Congratulations on 3 years!
I hope that your IT band heals 100% for your half this coming weekend.
Kim @ Hungry Healthy Girl
Happy Blogiversary! Love your blog so much! Keep it up! I’ve been blogging for a little over a year.
I have been blogging for about 5 months now…and can I just say that runners are the most supportive blog friends ever!!!
I just had a really hard, didn’t go as well as planned race and my blog readers have been super encouraging and supportive!!!
My marathan ate my quads alive also…the hills were crazy hard and never ending!!!…I actually thought the downhills felt worse! At the end someone was yelling it’s all down hill from here and it almost made me cry nooooooooo! :)
I ran my FIRST marathon yesterday so I am feeling all sorts of aches and pains (I pretty much want to amputate my legs from the knees down) but it was TOTALLY WORTH IT!
CONGRATS ON YOUR FIRST MARATHON!! That is a hugeeee accomplishment!
Ali K. @ Hit the Ground Running
Wow, 3 years! Happy blogoversary! I’ve been at it almost two years now. It’s weird to think how time flies! Definitely the best way to stay motivated EVER.
I have been blogging since January 2012! 2 years is only a few months away. I feel like I was just writing up my 1 year blogaversary! I mostly chat about running, circuit work outs, and healing from ACL surgery – check it out : )
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Happy blogiversary, lovely lady! Here’s to many, many more awesome years :) I’ve been blogging seriously for about a year now, although I’ve been in the blog world (with several extended hiatuses) for about 3. It’s become such a regular part of my life that it’s hard to imagine going without it.
Brittany @ The Fit Phoenician
Happy Blogiversary! I read your blog everyday and like how real you are… You’ve inspired me to run and blog, so thanks!
Brittany @ The Fit Phoenician
Have you ever thought about doing a runners link up? Like WIAW or Friday Favorites, but for running?!
Sara @ LovingOnTheRun
I have been blogging since January: http://www.lovingontherun.com but the time has flown by!! I have learned so much in the past months!
Happy blog anniversary!! That is awesome! It is amazing how things can change in a small 3 year period, my life has changed so much too! Brooke is probably the cutest thing EVER – Glad you got to spend a little time with her!
I love ready your blog… I was curious, what made you start your blog?
Congrat a on three years and I hope a lot more… It is motivation to me at 4:45am before I go running!
I’ve just looked it up and am a bit freaked to discover my blog has been running almost exactly 3 years as well! However, I have a much much smaller reader base than you :) all the blogging advice I read tells me to blog regularly and stick to one subject. I write whenever I feel I have something to write about and change focus (ballet/general fitness/baking/an interesting place I’ve visited) all the time!
Janae, we should really be thanking you for blogging and sticking with us! I just love your blog and look forward to it every single day!!!
I am a brand new blogger. I am only a few months in and just started to write regularly. It is so exciting to start connecting with like minded blogger friends.
I don’t blame you for traveling all the way home to see Brooke!!! Her videos are just the best. Please keep posting them :)
Happy Bloggerversary!! Been blogging for almost a month now and I’m loving it!!! Have fun in NYC!
Sam @ Better With Sprinkles
Congrats on three years of blogging! I’m up to almost 17 months. I’d want to travel home to see that face too, so I can’t say I blame you!
Congrats on your blogoversary!!! That’s so exciting! I have been reading your blog for almost two of the three years and you’re such an inspiration.
I literally just started! I thought maybe it was just time to start documenting my running and life…for the public of course. http://irun4chocolates.blog.com/
Have a great time in NYC!
Jenn @ Happy Hour Miles
Congrats on 3 years! I’ve been blogging (www.happyhourmiles.com) for a little over two months!
I also ran the Hat Trick at Runner’s World, but I feel awesome today thanks to my rolling massager and a good night’s sleep!
HAPPY BLOGIVERSARY! I have only been blogging about a month and I love it. I first stalked this blog then more and more and just couldn’t get enough.
I am a newly addicted runner / workout junkie. I ran my longest run with out stopping yesterday at 1:28:01 > 10 miles. I am training for my first half on Nov. 17th and want to be under 2 hours. Training is awesome so far.
Blogs keep me honest and focused. Love it!
Leah @ Running with the Hayneses
Congrats on 3 years! I’ve been reading for about a year, and I’ve loved every day of it! :)
My sisters and I blog at runningwithhaynes.com, and we’ve been at it for almost a year and a half now!
Congratulations on your Blogiversary. You (and Brooke) are my favorite blogger, I really enjoy reading your posts-a lot! I was so busy reading and smiling at your first post I almost didn’t finish scrolling down and I would have missed that awesome picture of sweet Brooke! I did a little run earlier, but then walked ALL over downtown Cincinnati so my legs and shins are screaming at me right now and as soon as I’m through eating my bowl of chocolate chip cookies and ice cream I’m going to foam roll too!
Laura @ Live, Run, Sparkle
Happy Blogiversary!! I discovered your blog about a year ago and actually went back to the very beginning and read every single post. I’m a little ashamed/proud to admit this haha.
I have been blogging since January 2013 and I am loving it! My blog is http://www.liverunsparkle.com
I’ve been blogging a while (and reading your blog for a while), but I just started a new one about my experience with my husband’s addiction. You know your advice to blog about something you’re passionate about? I thought a running blog would be my writing outlet, but I think this one is serving me better. (Going anon to protect all those involved :)). http://amommyous.blogspot.com/
I’ve been blogging for 7 days! Yup I’m a newbie :) I moved to Paris about 6 months ago so it’s a good way to share with my friends and family what I’ve been up to. Ok so maybe it’s just my mom that actually reads it but she likes to know what I’m doing. http://www.jumpingthroughparis.wordpress.com
Happy Blogging Anniversary!
You are my hero and I adore your blog… You are ao amazing and it’s awesome thr it’s already been three years! Wow!!!! Congratulations!:)
I’ve only been blogging since August. I originally started my blog bc of a few reasons:
-people always ask me running advice&I think I was driving my friends/fan crazy with my “run talk”
And also because I had ALOT to say after the 2013 Boston marathon since I was directly across from the 2nd bomb.
You are such an inspiration to me!
Don’t stop blogging:):)
Happy blog-iversary! Yours is so fun to read, and I love all the Brooke pics!
Have a safe flight & a fun trip!! :)
Happy Blogiversary to you my friend!

Happy blogaversary! We all obviously adore you!
I’ve been blogging for about 5 years, but it’s basically journaling since no one reads my blog anyway, and I’ve been writing in a journal regularly since I was a kid.
Have fun in NYC! I love brooks so I’m excited to hear about the event!

I’ve been blogging about a year but only really bloggng for a few months (ie actually posting daily, interacting more, etc). I started reading your blog about a year and a half ago and look forward to it daily :) Happy blogiversary!
I feel like I’ve been blogging forever– since 2005– but it has changed so much since the beginning. Kinda bonkers, huh?

I’ve been blogging since February 2013…and all because of you my friend :) http://www.seethisgirlrun.com
This weekend I developed plantar fasciitis :( So I can’t do the race this weekend after all. I’m so bummed about it.
Aimee - funfitgirl
Just started blogging in August! I’m a newbie but loving it so far.
I ran a 13.1 yesterday so I’m definitely feeling it today EVERYWHERE. I have a date with my foam roller later. And some brownies. Brownies are key to a speedy recovery.
Wait…yours was one of the first blogs I read and I started my other blog on October 6, 2010. I’m so confuuuuuuused!!!!
I’ve been writing this blog since January of this year. http://www.milfrunner.com/2013/01/my-goals-for-2013.html is one of the early posts.
Congrats on three solid years of #BLOGGYAWESOMENESS :)
Reese (Pieces of Reese)
Happy three years! I have been reading your blog for close to two years and I love it! You really make all your readers feel like they are your friends :) I just started my blog and am hoping/looking forward to meeting lots of awesome people through blogging!
Fiona @ Get Fit Fiona
Congrats on 3 years of blogging! I’ve been blogging for two years. Like you, when I look back at when I first started, I realize how much life has changed.
I’m pretty new to blogging but here it is:
I’ve been blogging for three months now. I’m constantly training for races, so I talk a lot about my runs and things I’m learning while out there getting my booty kicked. My blog: http://runningrosa.com
I’m definitely feeling some soreness in my quads today. I ran the Nike Women’s Half Marathon in San Francisco yesterday and the steep hills wiped me out. The 7 miler I did this morning didn’t help the soreness like it usually does. :(
Sounds like a congrats are in order ;) Happy Blogiversary! (Or however you spell it!) Glad I stumbled upon your blog a few months ago, when I started mine, which would be about 9 months or so ago! It’s definitely fun and I have enjoyed every minute of it!
Have fun in NY!
I’ve been blogging off and on for seven years since I started running, but I took the plunge and committed about 11 months ago while training for marathon #6. More to come… I’m thiiiiiis close to signing up for #7.
Have a great trip to NYC, Janae. You’re so sweet going all the way back to Utah for a few hours with Brooke. :)
Next February will be my 3 years of blogging!
I recently was diagnosed with exertional compartment syndrome in my legs making me ineligible to run without surgery. I’m trying to enjoy the elliptical and weight lifting, but nothing beats a good run!

I am so so sorry Lindsey!
meredith @ The Cookie ChRUNicles
Happy Anniversary! I’ve only been blogging for about a year but the time flies by…my legs have been bothering me lately, more the right than the left. Can’t quite pinpoint the location but I know something is annoying me – maybe the calf, the quad, the hamstring, the knee. Maybe all of it lol
Alaina @ MerryMarathoner
Congratulations on your big blogiversary!! I posted my first post approximately one year ago, but then didn’t keep up with it until about February when I started blogging more consistently. So, I’m about 8 months in.
I’m still a little sore from the Chicago Marathon last weekend. But, I did travel to Iowa to cheer on my Dad as he did his first half marathon and then I ran beside my mom for her 4th 5K ever. I had never ever run with my mom before this weekend. The whole weekend was such a blast!!!
Enjoy your trip to NY!!!
Just FYI – I never ever get sick of all the pictures of Brooke – she is absolute cutest!!
I’ve been blogging for 10 months and I love all my friendships!!
I just discovered last week that there is a new Cafe Rio near me! I will send pictures of my first meal!!!
I’ve been blogging for two years and my writing is atrocious!! I thought blogging would be super easy but, its’s a lot harder than I thought. I write about my running. Check out my blog if your interested.
I should have said you’re and not your. See I told you my writing stinks :/
Congratulations on 3 years blog . I like to read your sport’s adventures in the other side of the world.
Kisses from Portugal
Are you running at all in NYC?! I would love to come to froyo too!
The Hungry Runner Girl
Hey!!! Could you meet at 16 Handles at 12:30 tomorrow? It’s on 2nd ave between 81st and 82nd :)
Allison (Ms. Whirlwind)
Happy three years of blogging!
Ha. My blogging history. So I had an early prototype of a blog/site on Angelfire, Tripod, and Geocities in the dark ages of Internet history, and I remember when Blogger first started in 2000(ish?) because I had a couple of them. I’m both sad and glad that I can’t access them anymore, hah. Then I hopped to LiveJournal for a long while, and then back to various blogs on WordPress and Blogger. I’ve been kinda blogging for a long time! Unfortunately, I’m not always consistent, so I’ve never gained much traction, but I do like to write and share when the mood strikes me :) I hope to be more consistent in the future and maybe get a little Internet famous? Haha.
Happy anniversary! I’ve been reading for awhile, and I just started blogging. It’s only been a few days now :)
Elise @ 9toFit.com
I want that three in 1 roller! And happy anniversary! lol
Three years! Thanks for the daily smiles and inspiration!
Brooke is so cute, with her mouth open and tongue out while she feeds you!
I have been blogging for about 9 months. I actually started my blog shortly after your post about how to get started with blogging. I had been considering it for awhile, and that was the final push I needed :)
Currently my lower left leg/shin is being a big pain. It has stopped my marathon training dead in it’s tracks (training for my first full on Nov. 16). I had an awesome 20 miler two weeks ago and felt fine after and then 3 days after that my shin started hurting even just while walking. I’m cross training for now, but I’m really worried about what’s going to happen to my endurance and the rest of my training, and what may happen with my first full if my leg doesn’t feel better.
Miranda @ Lovely Wife Lovely Life
I’ve been blogging for 2-3 years since I started documenting my recovery from anorexia. I just renamed my blog to better encompass where I’m at in my life now! :)
Happy 3 year blogging anniversary! Thanks for 3 years of fun and motivation! You’re awesome!
Janae! I have been reading your blog for a few months but this is my first comment! You’ve inspired me to think about starting a blog. I even reserved the domain. It’s just that the first post is so awkward! Guess I should just jump in! Anyway, I’m sore from running my second marathon yesterday. I made my goal of sub four hours! Thanks for being you!
I’ve been blogging since May and it has nothing to do with running! If you saw me run you’d know why :)
Congrats on 3 years!! That’s awesome and your first post was kind of hilarious :)
My quads are a bit sore from the Nike Women 1/2, but the necklace and camaraderie was well worth it!
Aww! missed photos of Brooke while you were gone :) I blog at http://fitncookies.com ! I started in February :) I have an in grown toenail from running at the moment, lol, and tendons in my right foot are inflamed or something. I’m still running, though :)
Teresa @ www.fitinwoodbine.com
Almost 2 years!!! http://www.fitinwoodbine.com/
It really feels more like your blog with brooke. I missed her this weekend too and shes not even mine! (I have 4 lil ones of my own) I totally get why u wouod want to fly home and see her even if its just for a few hours. I go through withdrawals when Im not with my kids. We r together all the time. I hope I still like them when they r all teenagers :)
That foam roller looks so cool! I will have to try it out and see if its one I can recommend to my clients. I use a gaiam one that has bumps all over it. Hurts so good!
Happy blog anniversary. Im so happy to check your blog everyday and since I’m new (only been visiting about 3 months) I’m going through all the archives and loving it. You’re silly and I love it.
Have fun in new york!
Yay I get to see you tomorrow!!! Get ready for a day filled of New York City fun!!!! I can’t wait!!!!
I’ve been blogging since October 2010! I guess my blog anniversary just passed!?! haha I had to look it up!
Not a blogger…I think there’s an age limit and I’m too old :). I LOVE Brooke’s face when she’s feeding you – awesome!
IT band issues during my last half marathon. I haven’t run long since and it’s been ok for short runs. I have an 18 mile run on Saturday. I’m afraid. I’ll be on my foam roller if you need sympathy.
I’m a newbie when it comes to blogging, though I’ve been following blogs for a lot longer. I think I started my blog in May of this year, and I have loved every minute of it.
Happy Blogaversary!!!! Loved re-reading your first post!
Nicole @ Work in Sweats Mama
Congrats on your three-year anniversary! That’s incredible! I’ve been blogging for six months at Work in Sweats Mama and hope I can become half the blogger you are!! Love following your adventures!

I started in January. minougirl.com
And I am so happy I did! I’ve met so many amazing people and I can’t imagine my life without blogging now. So happy I made one!
I’ve been “real blogging” since after our wedding in July
I’ve been blogging for about a month or so, mostly about running and my family. My site is: lifebetweenthemiles.com
I ran a half this weekend, so I am a little tight, so I’ve been foam rolling as well. Foam Roller=my BFF for the next few days!
I have been blogging for 5 years now, keeping memories of my girls.
As for aches and pains, I ws recently diagnosed with avascular necrosis/osteonecrosis of my left knee and what is possibly torn cartilege. I am on meds and am to try PT and no excercise for 6 weeks. If it is the necrosis causing the pain then I will not be able to run again until I qualify for a knee replacement (the necrosis is not quite there but very impressive) and at age 37 I want to put that off as long as I can. I am very upset about the diagnosis!
[email protected] runner girl
3 years!! WoW! That’s awesome, well done. I have been blogging for almost 2 years over at http://www.curiousrunnergirl.blogspot.com and I love it!
Congrats on the blog-iversary and keep it up. Have a fun year ahead- training, racing and blogging.
Getting back to some races in the next year myself.
You were the first person I wanted to talk to about when it comes to an injury. I don’t really know what my question directly is.. So I’ll just ramble a bit :)
I just started running races and fell in love hard (big time!!). I ran a 5k and my mom, sister and I planned a trip around a 10k in Canmore Alberta. Anyway, we travelled to Alberta (I’m from Ontario), and the day of the race, I was sick. I took some gravol and felt comfortable with running after lots of water and laying in bed. I got to 4.78km of the run when my knee dislocated. It went back into place, but I was done and could not walk, let alone run. I gotta say, the support that I had from other runners absolutely blew my mind and still makes me tear up! This was on Sept 8 Ps.. So, when we got back to Ontario, my knee didn’t hurt that much but I took time off running to heal and hung out on the elliptical and did extra weight sessions. I decided on Sept 28 that I was ok (didn’t see a doctor.. What a dork move that was..) and decided I was fine to run 8 miles. I was ok during the run, but the next day, exactly 3 weeks later, I fully dislocated my knee again bending over to pick up a bag on the floor. I was sent by ambulance to a hospital and it was put back into place. I have seen my doctor and I to get X-rays, am being referred to an orthopaedic doctor and have been prescribed an anti inflammatory. I still have intense pain and cannot bend my knee. The worst is the emotional part.. I just got a puppy (a PUG aka the cutest) and can’t take care of him (walks and all the fun stuff!). I feel like I am wasting away and am now a huge couch potato. A doctor/coworker of mine said I would need surgery. I cannot even think about that without tearing up and eating too much ice cream. I think I need support/advice/encouragement and success stories from other runners with a similar injury. I’ve been lifting weights for upper body only and still feel like crap about my abilities. Healing is taking forever and I jus want to stay in shape so I can run again and get that kick butt feeling! I feel lost and like I lost part of my identity with this injury. Help!!
I know exactly what you are feeling right now. I am a D1 cross country runner and had a similar injury. Back in February, I started getting some knee pain. It got so bad that I had to stop running. I went to the doctor, got an MRI, and nothing showed up. I went through 6 weeks of PT (missing my entire senior high school track season) with no improvement. My option was either to get exploratory surgery and hope they could solve my problem or deal with it and not run. Obviously I chose the surgery. I am just now coming back into running over 5 months later. It was a really hard time in my life knowing I would be going into college and cross country season injured. I know how you feel. Just stay positive and do what you can. I did lots of upper body lifting as an outlet for stress until I could bike and swim again. I have not had a kick butt run workout in just about a year and I miss it greatly. Just know that you will find a way to run again and that you are not alone. Hope this helps and stay positive!!!!
Thank you so much!! You’ll get there and be running again in no time! Good luck with your recovery! You’ve come so far already!
I’ve only been blogging for a few months! I just recently had a blog makeover and now have a new “blog home” :) I would love for you to stop by!
Best first post EVER. I’ve been blogging for a little over a year at http://gettinmyhealthyon.com/ It’s cool to see what all can happen over such a short period of time.
Rachel @ Undercover Diva: A Sitcom
Have a safe trip!
I’ve been blogging for 10 months! Getting close to a year :) How exciting! I have a really uncomfortably tight IT band so I’ve been foam rolling and doing strength exercises to make it feel better. Fingers crossed!
AND I AM SOOOOO GLAD you started blogging! My day would be WAY more boring without reading about your fun adventures!!
I have been blogging since 2007 — crazy, huh?
So jealous of Brooke’s ponytail. Audrey’s hair is getting longer but still won’t hold an elastic.
Amy @ Long Drive Journey
Happy blog anniversary! I’m so glad you’ve stuck with it all these years because I love reading your blog! It’s the first one I check out every day! I’ve only been blogging for a few months, but I already love the community!
I’ve been blogging for about four months, inspired in part by your blog! I’ve mostly been blogging about my half marathon training but since my race is Sunday I’ll have to branch out to other topics soon. I’ll probably write about concerts I go to and smaller races I run until my next half! :)

I started my blog earlier this year!
Thank you for sharing your life via blog! I look forward to reading every darn day :)
Ps gotta get me that 3way foam roller!
Gracie (Complicated Day)
I have that roller! It was really cheap – like twentysomething dollars – from Kmart online, of all places. I like how compact it is. I don’t have a lot of storage space.
I’ve only been blogging since June but I haven’t missed a day! meggorun.blogspot.com

I LOVE your blog and I am so grateful for you and the inspiration you bring day in and out :)
I’m spankin new at blogging and you have made me want to do it for ME and not anyone else. Thanks so much! You’re awesome
Congratulations on the blogging anniversary! You are my blogging inspiration, even though my blog has nothing to do with fitness. Ha Ha! http://momtimes4.com/
I’ve been blogging close to 8 years, although my latest blog is only a little over a year old. I started blogging when I first got sober because I needed some place to write about the struggle, including trying to come to terms with my childhood.
Now my blogging is more about just life in general, being a mom & the wife of a swimmer… and RUNNING! Which I finally took up again after a 20 year hiatus. And I write about trying to learn to play the guitar, which I kind if stink at, lol. Too obsessed with running to practice like I should. http://soveryslightlymad.wordpress.com
I’m dealing with capsulitis of the second metatarsal. It’s on the mend (knock on wood, especially as I have a half marathon in less than 3 weeks).
Love your blog, btw. I bet you never get tired of hearing that :)
I’ve been blogging for about a year and a half, but only really consistently for six months. (Www.Clean-project.com)
I’ve loved reading everyone’s hat trick posts, what an inspirational weekend!
Natalie @ Free Range Human
I’ve been blogging for just over a year, and I’ve already made so many great friends.
Yes, I am having some issues! My IT band is acting up and I’m not exactly sure what to do about it. It’s definitely thrown a wrench in my training.
I’ve been blogging only as long as I’ve been running. 6 months or so. Follow me at . I’m not that interesting, but it helps me remember everything :)
I’m just a little sore from my half marathon Saturday. I should be feeling back to normal tomorrow.
I loved reading about your trip. I followed you and skinny runner and Monica all weekend and pretended like I was there meeting all of you :)
Happy blogiversary! I’m so glad you got a few moments with Brooke before you sped off on another adventure! Those little moments count!
I’ve been blogging since I was 15 (so almost 11 years), but the blogs when I was 15 were all about boys and them breaking my heart. Now my blog focuses on my running and lifting. My how 11 years can change us.
Congrats!! I really love reading your blog and like so many others have said, it inspired me to start one as well. http://www.running-towards-joy.blogspot.ca
Nikki @ will run for pizza
Congrats on the blog AND the race this past weekend! My goal is to be there next year! I started blogging in July this year so I’m still far off from making it my job. ;)

Happy three years!! I’ve been blogging since we studied abroad in Sweden as a family in 2009, then I took a break when we got back, but I missed blogging so much I started a new blog (this one!) and have been blogging here for 3.5 years, but I kept it a secret from people I actually know, and just have randomly started letting people in on my little secret :) http:/youngmammatales.blogspot.com which by the way I need to change the name of my blog at some point, since I was a young mom when I started (22-23) and not such a young mom anymore (27)
Ange @ Cowgirl Runs
Congratulations on 3 years of blogging!! Have an excellent trip to NYC :)
I’ve only been writing my current blog for a few months but I’m loving it. https://runningcowgirl.wordpress.com
No running training for me right now. I’m recovering from my first marathon, so lots of foam rolling for me :)
I love how Brooke has her mouth open while she’s trying to feed you!
Congrats!!! I’ve been blogging a little over 6 years….so many great moments captured. :)
I have been blogging for years (not regularly at all), but have just discovered your blog in the last couple months. I am hooked on reading about your cute little Brooke and running adventures…you are truly inspiring as I have been training for my first half marathon. Have a great time in NYC! suznilsson.blogspot.com
Wow! 3 years – that’s amazing:) I’ve been blogging for just about 3 days! Can’t wait to see what my blog will look like in 3 years.
Happy blogiversary or happy blog bday :) Your blog is always so fun and uplifting to read! Love it!
I’ve been blogging for almost 2 years -so fun!
Happy Anniversary! I LOVE, LOVE your first post ever, it made me laugh out loud! I have been blogging for 5 months :-) http://citysneakerssf.com
Have a great time in NYC!!
I love that you have kept it up for 3 straight years!
I have been blogging for a couple of years, but only seriously (as in, without month long hiatuses) for a few months.
I can’t believe your going to NYC! So jealous. Post lots of pics please!!!
I started a new weight lifting program today so I am just starting to feel the beginnings of major DOMS. Ouch.
Happy 3 year anniversary!
Happy 3 years! I’ve been reading your blog since the beginning and can’t believe so much time has passed. I’ve been blogging at http://www.sweat-happy.com for about 1.5 years
Congrats Janae! That is awesome!
I have been blogging for 3 years too!
I have plantar fasciitis right now and it was feeling better but I went for a run yesterday and taught body attack tonight, and now it is KILLING me.
I’m so jealous of your latest adventures! Next year can I tag along like a stray puppy?? Everyone likes puppies. Ha!
Have fun in NYC! Love you!! xoxo
Happy anniversary! So glad you had the perfect morning with Brooke. Safe travels and my quads are killing me too! Ugh.
Happy Blog Birthday!!!
Hmm, I’ve been blogging in different places, different things for probably four years. But, I started my current blog in December. Actually doing it regularly is hard!
Your awkward post rocks, it’s you and that’s what we love.
I stumbled on your blog a few months about. Around Mayish I think.
I blog over at http://www.runmum.com not much but hey i like it.
I have been blogging off and on since July 2010. I was blogging a lot last year and then stopped, so I am just getting back into it again. I really enjoy doing it and reading other’s blogs as well. You can find my blog at
http://adayinthelifeofarunner.wordpress.com/. It was actually your blog that got me into blogging more often! :)
Congrats on the blog anniversary!!!!
I’ve been blogging for about a year, not so much frequently as I am a new mom and still trying to find a balance on how to manage my time : )
Lauren @ LITP
After reading this blog for so long, I have officially made it my life’s mission to visit a Cafe Rio. Not only do we not have them where I am from, I have never even seen one in person! So it’s going to be a challenge. But I’m determined.
That foam roller looks amazing! I desperately need one of those stick-type rollers.
I think I’ve been blogging for around two or three years… I’m not really sure! I have never celebrated my blogisversary, I don’t think. Which is weird because I am getting married in one year and made my fiance take me out for a one year pre-versary dinner on Friday :)
I’m at http://www.eatrunwrite.com
Congratulations! I can say I’ve almost had a month of really trying to blog daily. I can only hope to last THREE freaking YEARS! Go you!
Is it just me, or is Brooke getting cuter and cuter every day!?!?
Happy Blog Anniversary!
I actually started blogging 2 1/2 years ago. BUT I only blogged for less than 6 months and had some life stuff going on and chose to stop for a while. Well I ended up stopping for 2 whole years eek! I just started back up again a few weeks ago and I’m happy to be back at it. I’d love to have some more followers, so please go check out my blog! :)
I have lots of running related aches and pains right now! I just ran my 2nd marathon on Sunday and after a 10 minute PR and a BQ I don’t mind any of them!
Wow I wish my first post was at least funny, yours rocks.
I’ve been blogging for about a year and half and love it!
Kari @ Running Ricig
I actually have no idea how long I’ve been blogging. I think it might be about 3 years also. Crazy!
I can’t make it to a midday froyo meetup [my work apparently frowns on me leaving for froyo dates :)], but let us know if you end up being able to do something in the evening. Regardless, have fun in NYC!
PS – I did my first 5 mile run Toni’s morning, which is making me feel kinda fancy. :)
Kimberly @ Keeping up With Kimberly
Happy Blogiversary! I’ll hit my three year mark in January. I am still looking for a magic potion that will give me a few more hours each day to blog, but for now my posts are a bit spaced out. You can check it out here: http://kimberlyhuber.blogspot.com/.
Luckily I have no aches or pains right now other than a bit of soreness from my weekend long run.
Congratulations on 3 years of blogging! I just started blogging (and just started to get back to running after taken too many years off!). http://www.runningwithdenise.blogspot.com.
Have a great time in NYC! Safe travels!
My blog will be 3 in December. I still remember when I started it my Mom said “that’s a lot of work” and “you have to post multiple times a week” and “who is going to read it”. Well that was just the fire I needed to prove her wrong.
She also thought I was crazy when I wanted to run a marathon and said “it’s too much work” and “you can’t train by yourself for one” but I did. And have completed 11 of them now.
Our anniversaries are so close. It has been one year. October 18,2012 was my first post. It was nothing exciting, just the start of blogging. I need to get better at it!
Technically, I’ve been blogging since 2003, however I stop and start a lot. I mean a LOT. My blog’s most recent incarnation began just last year but I’ve added my off and on blogging archives from 2009 on. :)
Blogging for about one month! You inspire me! =]
My whole body’s pretty sore (hips and knee especially) after my half on Sunday. WORTH EVERY MINUTE OF SORENESS!!! xx
Happy Blogiversary Janae! Your blog is truly one of my faves to read.
I started a blog this year and am on the fence as to whether or not I’ll continue for various reasons. Time, effort, content….I don’t have a lot of readers and I don’t feel like I have a lot going on that would interest others. I also struggle with ‘prettying up’ my blog. Right now I post about once a week, so perhaps I’ll try to continue at that rate – daily just isn’t happening.
You can find me here: http://www.kimkanrun.blogspot.com
Three years is awesome! Congrats! I am not quite sure how long I’ve been blogging but my best guess without looking is that it will be 2 years in February. And absolutely yes to the running aches. I am having the weirdest pain where my left calf meets my shin. Not happy about it since this is supposed to be my last high mileage week of training before tapering for my marathon. Boo.
Samantha @ 24 to 30
I’m so happy you decided to start blogging because I look forward to reading what you have to say every day! I’ve been blogging for one whole year last week.
Sally @ sweat out the small stuff
I just started blogging this past June! I’m a newbie. Probably have about 5 loyal readers outside of my family. =) I started with the hopes of saving my facebook friends from hearing every last detail about my running. They aren’t all runners.
You can find me at http://www.sweatoutthesmallstuff.com
Congrats on the 3 year blogaversary!
I have been blogging for 8 years! Craziness! I can’t believe it’s been that long!
Love your blog Janae! Have a fab time in NYC (one of my fave cities)!
Megan @ Lazy Runner Girl
I just started my this month. I’m still working the kinks out of adding pictures.
I am having a bit of twingy (is that a word) pain on the side of one knee. I’ve been really careful to foam roll twice a day in the hopes that my IT band is just tight.
