I am sore. The most I could handle today was a short little walk with the Brookers.
I am obsessed with taking pictures of her.
Here is how the week went from 10/20- 10/26
Sunday: Runner’s World 1/2 Marathon!!! 1:34:24
Monday: Rest day
Tuesday: 7.25 miles with the Brooks team in NYC. About an 8:10 average pace.
Wednesday: 6 miles along the Hudson River. A few 7:30 miles thrown in but mostly easy miles.
Thursday: 8 miles with Josse at an 8:45 pace
Friday: Rest day
Saturday: Provo Halloween 1/2 Marathon!! 1:23:55

If you are craving soda at an aide station you could always make the transition to Ultras. My husband has been an ultra runner for a few years now and I support him at his races, but honestly I don’t know why he has me bring his gu and such when they have amazing spreads of candy, salty and sugary snacks and soda! If my old knees could take it I would totally be an ultra runner solely for the aide stations! On the down side, no medals. However at his last 50k he scored a super cool tech jacket.

I know this is belated (for some reason your site hasn’t been loading, perhaps due to the volume of other people congratulating you) but CONGRATULATIONS! That is an AMAZING PR. I’m awestruck and so so happy for you! You must know this results predicts a sub-3 marathon. :) Moreover, I’m glad that you have trained smart and stayed healthy this training cycle (knock on wood). Your advice to me re: being injured really helped me keep my chin up–btw I’m healthy and back at it building up slow and easy miles, so thank you again.
