We are back together again and my next race (with a giveaway)…it will probably be the funnest races I will ever do.

First things first.

We are back together again and it feels oh so right.  I have never been more excited for something in my entire life and we had a full conversation in the hallway about our weekends.

IMG 1673

Sunday morning started out with sleeping in until 9:30 (I don’t remember the last time I did that…maybe it was because I went to bed 5 hours ((no joke)) later than my normal bedtime because I was biking around San Francisco Saturday night) and then a reunion with my really good church friends.

IMG 1683

After church Bangs Friend invited me and my mom over for Linner.

So you know how I exaggerate a lot about things?  Well, when I say that Bangs Friend is the best cook ever…that is not an exaggeration because I now have my mom as a witness to the truth of that bold statement.  She agrees, Bangs Friend knows her way around the kitchen.

Parmesan encrusted pork chops, steamed broccoli and mushroom risotto.

IMG 1669

And THIS peach cobbler for dessert.   The maple cream sauce was the best part.

IMG 1670

After Linner we were able to pick up Brooke and head back over to my aunt and uncle’s house.

IMG 1681

They had our favorite foods there waiting for us.

And now we are currently on our way back to Utah… Brooke has been on more airplanes that any other one year old I know.

PS: the best feeling in the world is kissing my little girl’s cheeks after I’ve been gone for a weekend. Brooke is so cute!

Reply

It sounds like fun but this race also seems like the kind of thing someone does, they get terribly injured and then when it’s on the news that night everyone at home is saying, “well, yeah, I could’ve seen that one coming…”

Reply

I’m glad you and Brooke are back together, and I hope she had a good weekend too :)
