My mother did something extremely kind. She made her homemade lasagna last night for Bangs. As you know, this is my favorite food in the entire world.
Yes, we did plan our matching outfits. Actually, I just wear that jacket everyday of my life so she copied me.
Here is her recipe (in case you want to make yourself and other people in your life extremely happy):
And Mer (grandma) brought the most delicious fruit like usual.
First round of many lasagna plates for me. I have a hard tempo run this morning so I really need lots of lasagna fuel last night to push me through it.
Since Bangs Friend knows how important dessert is to me she made her famous Chocolate Baklava. She says it’s ‘easy’ to make but I watched her make it and it was intense.
My family could not get enough. They have all been trying to convince her (and her husband) to move out to Utah because they really like her.
This is the only dessert that I love that has nuts in it:
And we followed dessert with a massage train. Poor Bangs Friend… She had Brooke behind her and Brooke hasn’t quite mastered how to give a good massage yet.
26.2 miles in 2 hours 3 minutes and 32 seconds. Simply amazing. Can you even imagine? That’s like running a marathon in the time it takes to watch one movie?!?
Last week’s running:
Monday: 10 mile progression run. Starting at a an 8:16 mile and ending with a 6:48 mile.
Tuesday: 8 miles at an 8:09 pace.
Wednesday: 7 easy miles at an 8:20 pace.
Thursday: 18 miles! First 7 were around an 8:20 average then miles 7-9 at a 6:45 pace…3 minute recovery jog….next two miles at 6:24 pace…..few miles of 7:45-8:00 and last two miles at 6:27.
Friday: Treadmill 6 miles (with some random breaks) at an 8:28 pace.
Saturday: Easy 6 with Bangs Friend at an 8:40 pace.
What was your best run last week? What made it so great?
Do you have a jacket/shirt/article of clothing that you wear constantly because it is so comfortable?!
What was your Sunday night dinner?
Do you eat the best part of the meal first or last?
-For example I eat every last bite of food except for the lasagna (the best part) first and eat that last. Save the best for last.
