My dreams came true.

This did happen yesterday.  My dreams came true and I got to go watch my niece and nephew race last night.

Their bibs were $2.50 each and the BYU Cross Country and Track team ran the course with them.   I couldn’t believe how organized the races were especially considering how many kids they had there racing (they ran the different age group races every five minutes).

Can we talk about how determined and strong my niece looks in this picture.  I am so proud.

The final stretch kick.

And my awesome nephew leading the pack.   My voice will be gone for the next week because of all of the cheering.

Brooke had her own little race going on the whole time.

When you have something to go to right at six that is going to go on for a little while (like the above track meet) you need two dinners.  One before and one after.

Dinner #1:  Marie Calendar chicken pot pies with my sister.  Keeping it classy.

IMG 1570

Dinner #2:  The other half of my mom’s Subway sandwich that she had sitting in the fridge waiting for me when I got home (you did do your math correctly, I did in fact have two Subway sandwiches yesterday).

DSC 6440

My lovely date last night.  She even opened my doors.

PS Candice is running Boston 2014!!  Who else will be there?

IMG 1577

We went to Austenland (I loved every second of the movie…  Like every movie I see) and my September favorite candies.

Can’t believe it was just 6 years ago. Seems so long that I’ve been running!

Reply

I will not be running Boston but my husband will be there. My goals is to qualify next year and be there in 2015. My favorite treat are JuJu’s at the movies or bulk candy so I can get a little bit of everything :)

Reply

Ditto for me… I’ll be there with my kids, cheering on my husband. After several failed BQ attempts for me, and a summer injury, I’m hoping 2014 works. May 2014 have lucky BQ races in store for both of us!!!

Reply

That race looks like so much fun! Good for them!

Movie snack…peanut M&Ms or Goobers!

I am like you and love every move I see…but here are a few of my faves.

1. Where the Heart Is (Natalie Portman)
2. Center Stage
3. Once

Reply

OMG, I love Center Stage!!!

Reply

I was 29 when I ran my first race. In fact it was just this summer :)

My favorite movie is Parent Trap, I keep looking for a copy for my kids.
The Bourne movies.

Sour patch kids and cherry icee or dr. Pepper.

Reply

I’ll be at Boston 2014!! Hopefully running- hip rehab is starting with 3 weeks of no running but my wedding is next Saturday so I have more important things to think about!

My first race was January, 2009 when I was 23 and a few hours later I had my first date with my soon-to-be-husband :)

Favorite movie theater treat is sour patch kids!

Favorite movies… that’s so tough! Clueless, Bridesmaids, etc…

Reply

Your neice and nephew are adorable! Congratulations to them!
I help my sister teach cross-country to her elementary students. It’s so cute to watch them!
Junior mints are by far my favourite treat, but then I always need something salty, too.

Reply

First, favorite candy: Junior Mint or Raisenettes. Classics.
Movies: Good Will Hunting, 10 things I hate about you, Definitely Maybe, and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. Sorry. I couldn’t pick just three!

Reply

Yay for your niece and nephew. I guess I ran a one-mile race when I was about 8 years old. I don’t remember my time or anything, but it was through my school and a lot of fun. Popcorn is the obviously one and also whatever I can smuggle into the theater in my purse.

Reply

Top 3 Running Movies
1. Saint Ralph. (See it. See it. See it now. Get ready to laugh, cry, cheer)
2. Chariots of Fire.
3. Warrior (no, it’s not about running, but it is about squeezing the beast out from your soul, which, you know, helps when running.)

Reply

Those kids have a better stride then me. Jealous….

Back in the day I was a fan of raisinets… being a little punk my friends and I would sit at the top of the theater and see how far we could throw them. You would win if you could hit the screen. Now, that’s treason. I would never waste a raisient.

Top 3 favorite movies
Stripes (even at like age 5 I thought Bill Murray was the man)
Sherlock Holmes (hated it first but for some reason I can watch it on repeat now)
Cloud Atlas (you have to think and pay attention- its movie you wont watch more then twice but omhdhfjdsghf soooo powerful and good!)

Hope you have a great day HRG and HRG baby!

Reply

Your niece and nephew rock! I didn’t run a race until I was about 29, but my son ran a 5k with me when he was 10!

Reply

Your niece and nephew are awesome!! The first race (other than High School track races) I ran was the Turkey Trot my freshman year of college…I think.

Top three movies: Last of the Mohicans, The LOTR trilogy (that counts as one), and The Harry Potter movies?

Reply

My favorite movie treats are chocolate covered almonds!

Reply

I ran my first race and received my first bib…sadly just two years ago.

Movies: I don’t really have favorites but I enjoyed the following in random order~ Argo (yes, I really liked it), Napoleon Dynamite, Breakfast Club, and my daughter got into the Avengers so she bought THOR, Captain America, Iron Man, and one of the Avenger movies….I watched them ALL and actually enjoyed them!!

Reply

My father-in-law taught at Preston HS and he calls Napoleon Dynamite a documentary.

We went back for my hub’s HS reunion this summer. He also went to HS where the original Footloose was filmed (Payson, UT) and near Mystic Pizza.

Reply

What a cool kid’s event! My daughter has a fall mile coming up in early October, and I can’t wait. Running with her is the best and watching her cross the finish line far surpasses any race I’ve ever run! I’m hoping to run a BQ at Richmond in November, so I’ll have to wait until 2015 for Boston.

Favorite movies? Ohhhh, there are so many good ones! Let’s see. Classic movies: Singing in the Rain and Fiddler on the Roof; More recent but still not new: Shawshank Redemption

Reply

Awww the running gene must run in the family (literally!) ;) I haven’t been to the movies in forever. I go mostly for the movie theatre foods. Otherwise I’d rather watch it at my house.

Reply

Awe what powerhouses. They are going to be just like you! My very first race was a few years ago but I coached a local running club in my area and they were adorable. I loved watching the 6 year olds complete their first mile or the 12 year olds PR. Nothing makes me happier then to watch younger kids truly enjoy running.

Reply

Awwr! That’s too darned cute about your niece and nephew. They definitely got some killer genes in them for that :D And movies… if you’ve never seen Despicable Me and Despicable Me 2, you HAVE to. I didn’t watch them until a few months ago because I never thought they’d be any good, but omigosh… freaking amazing.

Reply

Those kids have perfect running form, right?

My first race was 2001, then I was 36. Better late than never.

Favorite movies:
Amadeus
Gone with the wind (first movie ever)
Jungle book (first movie I saw when I lived in the Unites States, I had to watch it 300 times until I unterstood everything – my son, then 2 years, loved it as much as I did)

favorite movie snack: M&Ms

Reply

Wedding Date, Juno, Elf- Three staples of moviedom!

Reply

I was probably 24 or 25! I ran school races before but nothing with a bib.
I always need popcorn when I got to movies!
So hard to name my favorite movies, I always seem to forget about one…Cinderella Story, Bridesmaids, and Must love Dogs.

Reply

Congrats to your niece and nephew :)
My favorite movie food staple would be, Froyo. It’s hard to smuggle in, but once you do, you won’t regret it :)
Hmmm…..The Proposal-Sandra Bullock, Betty White, and Ryan Reynolds are just hilarious. But that’s the only movie that I watch ALL the time haha

Reply

I thin I was 20 when I ran my first real race and my favorite candy at the movie theater is lemon heads and sour patch kids. I love seeing little kids run! Your niece & nephew are such little rock stars!

Reply

I’ll be running Boston 2014! Boston 2013 was my first Boston, so I must go back and come away with better memories!

Reply

I wish I could run the Boston Marathon! I need to complete my first marathon first before I even think about BQing (although it would be awesome if I could BQ on my first [so not that talented]). I think my first bib-ed race was when I was 15, but I may be misremembering. It was the six mile Turkey Trot I try now to run every year.

My top three favorite movies (as in movies I HAVE to watch if I see them on the TV listings) are dumb, but I love them dearly: Zoolander, Clueless, and Mean Girls. They just always make me giggle.

I’m very behind on the movie theatre times, because I haven’t seen a movie since before the baby was born. When I really think about it, I think the last movie was the Hangover Part 2! Eep! For snacks, I tend to sneak stuff in. Most notably, my best friend and I once took in Chipotle under our jackets.

Reply

I was 26 years old at my first race… It had never occurred to me that people who won’t win would still participate in these kinds of events but surprise, they do! I think we all know swedish fish are the best candy and I always buy mine at the supermarket and smuggle them in so I don’t have to pay insane movie theater prices. Popcorn, however, is not negotiable.

Reply

Haha I love this post. Yours is the first blog I read every morning, and you always put a smile on my face.

First real race I ever ran I was age…23! Haha only a year younger than I am now!

Reply

I was 30 when I ran my first race!
My favorite movie candy is Hot Tamales dumped in my salty popcorn.
1. Beaches
2. Chronicles of Narnia (probably the 1st one)
3. The Little Mermaid

Reply

I went to my daughter’s track and field day this year and it was the cutest thing I have ever seen. She was in Grade 1 and they were so into it. My bf was cheering so loud for all the kids. It’s so easy to get so caught up in it. I just signed my daughter up for another 1k race at the beginning of November.

Reply

Oh gosh, I only started running like 10 years ago and my first actual race was only like…4 and a half years ago?? I think it is awesome your niece and nephew are getting started early :) Looks like they got the speedy genes!

I am SOOO jealous you got to see Austenland!! My mom and I are dying to see it and it’s not in theaters around here :( I’m glad to hear you enjoyed it…I wasn’t sure if it’d be good or not, but I love Keri Russell.

I don’t know if I can pick just a top three…my all-time forever and ever favorite movie though is “While You Were Sleeping.” I have seen it so many times I can recite the entire movie!! Sandra Bullock is the absolute cutest in it and Bill Pullman…so dreamy back in the day! hehe Another movie I can watch over and over is “27 Dresses.” I also love the Pride and Prejudice movie(s) that was on the BBC back in the day, with Colin Firth. I have seen that countless times as well :)

Reply

I’m not running Boston but I know someone who is!

I think I was 15 when I ran my first race.

Favorite movie theater treats are the icee’s!

Top 3 favorite movies..that’s a hard one…at the moment Dumb and Dumber, She’s the Man and A Cinderella Story!

Reply

What a cool opportunity for your niece and nephew!! So awesome!!

I am anxiously awaiting my confirmation for Boston 2014… let’s hope I get in!!

Reply

I couldn’t imagine running a mile at their age! So crazy! Way to go kiddos!

Reply

Favourite movie theatre treats: buttered popcorn with a bag of M&Ms dropped in and shaken about. Sweet and salty at it’s finest.
And my first race would have to be when I did cross country in elementary school…which I’m pretty sure the first year i joined was about grade 2? So that would have put me at…about 8 years old.

Reply

YAYY for them! Curly looks SO much like you it’s amazing!

Reply

i was 20 when i ran my first race! late to the game. i love popcorn at movies. keeping it classic. you have so many runner/blogger friends!

We went to the movies last night too! I love hot tamales and chocolate to snack on:)

Reply

I can’t get over the view on that track…it is beautiful!!!!! Your neice has good running form!

Reply

I was thinking the same thing about the view!

Reply

Awesome! Love that the kids are active at such a young age. I also hate/love those 6:00 meetings or things you have to do… 5 is too early to eat but I’ll starve to death if I wait. Two dinners is always the answer ;-)

Reply

I don’t feel alone when I get Subway twice in 1 day:)!!

I’m running Boston 2014!!! 4th year in a row and can’t wait:)
I was 7 when I raced with my first bib. My parents made me run a kids race and I ended up having fun!
LOVE gummy bears, swedish fish, sour patch kids, and white choc. Toblerone
Tough choice between Old School, Sixteen Candles, Rudy and Love Actually

Reply

I just love the photos of your nephew and niece racing! They’re totally following in your footsteps.

I hope those are the Swedish Fish I bought you. Or that you already ate them and had to get more. ;)

Favorite movies would be Marley & Me (sad, but so good), The Blindside, and Pretty Woman.

Reply

My hub is a writer, so we watch tons of movies. Rather, I should say, he does. I fall asleep during them- except some very special ones.

Lately we’ve been watching Foyle’s War on Netflicks. It’s BBC based and absolutely fabulous!

Reply

This is sort of random, but either your niece Curly is a children’s clothing model for Smocked Overstocks or I found her long lost twin! So cute!!

Reply

Ahhhhh they totally do!!!! so awesome!

Reply

your niece and nephew are so cute, they’re going to be awesome runners like you and your sister! love Brooke’s polkadot hoodie! haha cutest!

My favourite movie snacks are popcorn and rootbeer, I never normally drink pop (soda in Canada) but the movies is my one exception and its the best. Usually I just get the kids combo to prevent me from eating a whole bag of popcorn to myself. haha

Reply

So cute! Congrats to your niece & nephew on their race :)

Oooh I want to see Austenland — I’ll have to fin someone to go with me, because I’m pretty sure my husband won’t want to haha!

Have a great day!

Reply

I will be running Boston 2014- CAN’T WAIT! This will be my second Boston Marathon. My first was in 2009.

I was 23 or 24 when I ran my first race with a bib. What can I say, I’m a late bloomer!

Well I love movie theater popcorn but I do not eat it because welllll it would make me feel like crap! However, I do get hungry in there because I pretty much eat all day, so I either smuggle carrots, protein bars, or even a piece of chicken in. I know it is crazy but I usually always have a piece of chicken breast in my purse!!! When I was younger, I will bring subway subs into the movies!

For top 3 movies I am going to try to list ones that may be a little more obscure and maybe you didn’t see. (Because honestly one of my fav movies is Dumb and Dumber but who hasn’t seen that!!!???)

Oh and it looks like I’m giving you 10 movies haha!

1. Orphan (thriller)
2. Any Paranormal Activity movie (soooo creepy… not gory, just CREEPY!)
3. About A Boy (comedy/drama)
4. Rat Race (comedy)
5. Where the Heart Is (comedy/drama)
6. Silver Linings Playbook (comedy/drama)
7. Mean Girls (Comedy)
8. Empire Records (Comedy)
9. Mystic River (crime/drama)
10. Juno (comedy)

Reply

I was 18 when I ran my first 5k. Well, ran is being generous. I walked more than half of it. I hated running. Oh how times have changed. lol. It is so fun to watch kids race. Anna telling me she wants to race and seeing her do it (2x now) is the greatest.

Junior Mints, peanut m&m’s or chocolate covered cinnamon bears.

1)Mean Girls
2) Clueless
3) Drop Dead Gorgeous

I obviously have high standards for movies. Basically I just want something that will allow me to zone out and laugh :)

Reply

You must be such an inspiration and a great role model for your nieces and nephews. Look at your nieces form! ;)

My top three favorite movies: A Cinderella Story, She’s the Man, and The Holiday. I think I’m still 14 years old at heart. Lol

Reply

My husband is running his 6th Boston this year. I am going along for the ride! Can’t wait!!!

Reply

HA my very first run with a bib was when I was 22 years old, about to turn 23! It was a 10K and the furthest I’d ever run – 2 years later I was running a marathon! Addictive, running is…

Reply

I want to see Austenland, and Saving Mr. Banks, and then because my kids are dying to see it Planes.

I live a very exciting life. Try not to be jealous.

Reply

What a fun family race! Yum, I want Swedish Fish now!

Reply

so cool that they had a kids track meet! My bros were in track when I was growing up so I probably would have loved a “race” to do just like them!!

Reply

Thanks for posting pictures of BYU! I miss it!

Your nephew and niece running is so adorable! They have a great role model!

Reply

My favorite movie theater treat has to be Nachos.

My 3 favorite moves are:
1. Spacecamp (I am sure no one has heard of this one, came out just before my 8th birthday in 1987 and I have watched it once or twice a year every year since!)

2. Love Actually – I pretty much adore everything about this movie.

3. Center Stage – My favorite dancing movie of all time!

Reply

I LOVE “Space Camp”!!!! When I was little I’d spend ages in the video store and always come out with the same movies to rent, and Space Camp was a common one. But I can never find anyone who has heard of it!

Reply

I hope that my future child(ren) will fall in love with running the way I have.
Top 3 favorite movies: The Empire Strikes Back, The Holiday, & any Harry Potter movie. Currently re-watching all of them haha :)

Reply

Your niece and nephew look like they’re having so much fun. Such a neat little thing for the college to do for the kids. :)

my favorite movie treat is popcorn! i worked at a movie theatre for one summer during college and got to see free movies and eat all the popcorn i wanted. it was pretty much the best job ever ;)

i think i was 23 when i ran my first “real” race (a local 5k) and 24 when i ran my first half marathon. my favorite movie is “garden state.”

have a great day! :)

Reply

Your family sure makes good looking kids :) Congrats to your niece and nephew-that rocks! I LOVE Marie’s chicken pot pies-hmmm, maybe that’s what I’ll have for dinner.
I am NOT doing the Boston marathon. My very first bibbed race happened just 1 year ago. I was 52-yikes. I’m slowly but surely converting from a couch potato to an active healthy ‘middle-aged’ female :) My absolute favorite movie snack is sno-caps poured into my popcorn…and diet coke of course. I’m going to have to ponder my favorite movies-this is a serious topic and I want to steer you in the right direction.
Love Brooke and her happy self!

Reply

How cool that you got to cheer them on at their race! I wish my stepson would enjoy something like that but whenever I offer to get him into a kids’ run at one of my races he runs away, lol

BTW Marie Callender’s pot pies are the BEST.

I was a late bloomer to running so my first real race was when I was 24.

I am weird and don’t ever buy treats for when I go to the movies. Probably because I’m not a big fan of movie theaters to begin with. I’d much rather watch a movie at home on my couch :)

Top 3 movies are:
1. Reservoir Dogs
2. Bridesmaids/Pitch Perfect (it’s a tie – both are so hilarious)
3. Blow

Reply

What a fun night you had!

MOVIE CANDY! Sour patch kids. The entire gigantic movie sized bag with 6 servings until your mouth is numb. Forever and ever. YUM.

I saw The Butler a few weeks ago and it was so good! Other favorites include Before Sunrise and Before Sunset (haven’t seen Before Midnight yet), The Holiday and Love, Actually (and not just at Christmastime), and Waitress (unconventional, but a really beautiful story of a woman coming into her own).

Reply

Okay, some of my favorite movies ( I left off romantic movies and depressive movies-you probably don’t want to go there right now)
1. Any movie by Pixar (because I’m a kid at heart)
2. Kung Fu Panda (no really I’m a kid at heart)
3. About A Boy
4. Billy Elliot
5. Zombieland (I know, but it’s hilarious)

Favorite movie snack: Reese’s Pieces!

Favorite movies: Definitely Maybe, Ladder 49, A League of Their Own, PS I Love You, He’s Just Not That Into You, The Proposal, The Hangover, Crash

Reply

That is an AWESOME race! Since I don’t have kids – yet – I don’t know if kids races are few and far in between or not, but I LOVE seeing races for kids pop up! Kids in sports = less ‘getting in trouble’! Fave movie? The Abyss. I think I wore out 2-3 copies when I still lived at home and was taking scuba lessons. And decided I wanted to be a professional scuba diver. Until my uncle called and explained to me that meant I would be working with heavy equipment under water and welding things – NOT swimming around in tropical waters taking pictures of pretty fishies. Scratch that. I’ll scuba for fun! I’m a comedy girl, so other faves are: white chicks and how to lose a guy in 10 days.

Reply

I think my first race was in about 4th grade – a local 5K with my dad. I had pigtails :)

My 3 favorite movies are: You’ve Got Mail, Forrest Gump, and Toy Story … all have Tom Hanks!

Your niece and nephew are rocking it. Very cool. It is so fun watching kids run, their form is so naturally looking.
I don’t think I ran a race when I was younger…except track and field days in school. My first official race I can recall…24???
The treat I get when I watch a movie in the theater is White Castle’s burgers. The theater here sells them. I know they are terrible but I love them so dearly. Then wash itdown with peanut butter M&Ms or the chocolate cover cookie dough. Oh man now I need to go see a movie and indulge in these items ASAP.

Reply

Favorite Movies:
1. Silence of the Lambs
2. True Romance
3. Stand and Deliver

National Treasure, Valentine’s Day, Fever Pitch love seeing Boston.

Look at that form!!!! Man the kiddos have it going on!! Sad how little things like that fall apart as we age.

What a fun day for them!

So much fun! My son will be running his first race in October (he’s 4) and I get to run it with him. I am beyond excited and love that he has already started practicing by running laps around our house :)

Reply

I applied for Boston, but not counting on it–my qualifying time is only 49 seconds faster than the cutoff.
My first race was a 2-miler that was part of the Cherry Blossom (DC) event when I was about 14. I went to watch my dad run the 10-miler, but when he asked if I would run the other distance, he gave his entry to my brother and ran with me instead. I don’t remember a bib, though.
Popcorn. When I was a kid, it was giant, soft SweetTart candies. I don’t know if they even make them anymore.
I don’t get to the movies much. Princess Bride, Shawshank Redemption, and an assortment of Pixar films come to mind for favorites.
Awesome that your niece and nephew blazed the trails :)

Did you see that m&ms has a white chocolate candy corn flavor now? They are selling them at target along with a pumpkin spice flavor! They are pretty yummy!

Reply

How cool is it that the BYU cross-country team ran with the kids! Congrats to both your niece and nephew for running such good races! Brooke and Curly are next! :-)

Don’t faint, but I’ve never eaten anything other than popcorn and a soda at the movies. It’s not that I don’t like candy, it’s just not something that I would think to eat at the movies…

Now you’re speaking my language talking about movies!

My favorite go-to movie treat is always nachos. There is just something about eating stale nachos in luke warm cheese sauce while watching a new movie that’s magical.

I mostly like stupid humor, which is not always everyone’s favorite, so don’t judge. If I have to think super quick off the top of my head, this is what I come up with: Empire Records, Pitch Perfect, Anchorman.

Congrats to your niece and nephew for their first bib’d race!!

I think I was 11 or 12 when I ran my first race with a bib.

Favorite theater treats: Popcorn and Coke Zero.

Favorite Movies: Julie & Julia (watched it last night – LOVE the passion for food), Scent of a Woman, and Airplane!

My first race was when I was 3 :) It was a mile race and I finished in 17:something. I have the results sheet in my memory box.

I am so, so proud of my 4yr old son that ran and completed his 1st ever 5km last weekend!!!

I’m running Boston 2014! It’ll be my 2nd.. I think I was 22 when I ran my first race, but I was competing when I was 6 in another sport. Your niece and nephew look adorable!

My first race was when I was around 12 years old. I can’t remember exactly but my family started a tradition of always running/walking (with kids) a 5K together on Thanksgiving day morning. It was one of our favorite things that we looked forward to every year.

My favorite candies are M&Ms when at the movies. I need something that I can mindlessly pop into my mouth and the peanut butter ones are my favorite. Also, have you tried the Strawberry Licorice at Trader Joes? I don’t even really like licorice and it is TO DIE FOR. I crave it all the time now!

Favorite movies: Remember the Titans, Finding Nemo, and maybe Mean Girls. Have a great day, Janae!

I have really bad Mountain Envy right now and your gorgeous photos do not help! Grrr…I love the Bay Area but I need a mountain!

Fave movies that you might like: Room with a View (old-ish but SOOOO good), the Slipper and the Rose (the Cinderella story) and Thelma & Louise (which might sit nicely with you at the moment). :)

They really do look so good! Go niece and nephew!
My first race was when I was maybe 12? I don’t really remember. Our family used to do Race for the Cure every year and that started when I was around 11. So maybe 11? First racing race was when I was 14 and I placed. Proud moment!
I loved Austenland. So funny! 42 was the best movie this year by far. I love the Meg and Tom classics like Sleepless in Seattle and You’ve Got Mail. Never fails me.
I love Junior Mints for theater treats.

I ran my first race with a bib when I was 26. It was a 10K partly through the Philadelphia Zoo. What great photos of your niece and nephew! And of Brooke! My youngest two NEVER stop running…until they CRASH at the end of the day.

I am a total movie slut. The only kind of movies I don’t like are ones where women and children are hurt or mistreated. Some that fall in that category are still really good, but I have a super hard time with them. Three of my favorites are (and I have lots of favorites):

1. A Fish Called Wanda
2. Love Actually
3. Joy Luck Club

My favorite movie treats are Junior Mints and gummy worms.

Brooke is so cute and she just keeps getting cuter!! What you are going through must be so hard but I’m proud of you keeping it together for you and Brooke! I’m so impressed with your coping skills, diet coke and all!!!

Your niece looks just like you in the running pic! Too cute!

Those are some awesome shots of your little racers! And the mountains in Utah compare to those here in Washington, which is awesome because they’re both gorgeous. Good candy choices, but you already knew that. ;)

I was 43 when I ran my first race with a bib, just this past April. You’re never too old to start!

Are you running boston?

My brother in law had a tough race on the Boston course last year — but like so many runners there is no way he isn’t returning this year. I get chills I’m so proud of him :)

Speaking of chills — those pictures of your nieces and nephews racing. What a great little event! I love it.

I won’t be at Boston, but I’ll be cheering on all my running brothers and sisters from Oxford, MS!

I ran my first race when I was 24. I’ll be 25 in October :) I’m training for my first half in December!

Favorite movie theater treats – Popcorn with lots of movie theater butter!!! Mmmm. I also like the fries my theater back home has (Studio Movie Grill). They have parmesan cheese on them!

Three favorite movies (right now):
1. Zodiac
2. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
3. The Incredibles

My first race was when I was 10… Cellcom 5k ’09! I always used to get chocolate covered cookie dough at the theatre. I haven’t been there in forever! I don’t really watch any movies. I can’t sit still for two hours… :)

Top three movies…Now and Then, Beaches and 500 Days of Summer

*http://expertbrand.com- is where I’ve been getting great new running gear for fall!

I’m doing Boston ’14 (but with one of the non-time-qualified bibs, and will be raising money for charity as well, as it’ll be around the one year anniversary of my mom passing away).

I just read Austenland a few weeks ago without even realising they were making it a film!

I love the race pictures! They look so intense!!!! There’s nothing cooler than watching kids run. I didn’t run my first race until I was 31- and now I’m training for my third ironman at 38. It’s never too late to start!

First race age 34. I had been running all of five months at the time, was in a
very hard spot emotionally, and had no idea what I was doing. I wore the race shirt to the race even!

Best movies: Say Anything, My Best Friends Wedding, The Paper Chase, The Breakfast Club and Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

I jumped on the bandwagon late and didn’t run my first race until age 30. I was the kid who faked an injury on field day so I wouldn’t have to run…and now I will be running my 15th half marathon next week…go figure!

Favorite movie snacks would have to be hot tamales and milk duds.

I was an adult, however V was 6.

When Harry Met Sally is my all time favorite! I can now quote it word for word.

OH SNAP. Austenland is OUT?! Ok, that will be my next movie to watch!

I love getting kids up running and racing so young! Adorable pictures!

I will not be running but I live in the Boston area and I will be there!!! Boston Strong Cheering on all my blogging friends!!!

Totally random question – where’s your grey animal print shirt from? I love it!

That one picture of Brooke cracks me up. She is way too cute!

The last movie we saw was Despicable Me 2. Hilarious. Up next, we can’t wait to see Cloudy with A Chance of Meatballs 2!
