Have fun on the run this morning! I just had to say my daughter has had those wooden cookies since she was about Brooke’s age. She is 5 and still plays with them. I gave her a little lady bug kitchen timer and when it goes off she says “Cookies are ready!”. I never get tired of it.

Awesome!

My day yesterday in word pictures:

*caring for a surgically repaired ankle and reminding my hub that he cannot drive with the meds he’s on in his system.

*crawling laps around the blanket in the living room (my niece and nephew decided to join their cousin). (Would this be a prelude to track workouts?)

*my face in sheer joy when I found cotton scented citronella candles on sale at Target for 70% off!

*a tiny bit of yoga and core work.

Brooke looks SO cute with that headband!! That chocolate thing in the second picture… I need it!!! :)

30 miles in the mountains this morning for me (if I make it that far)! I haven’t run more than 15-ish since my May 50-miler, so not sure this is going to be the most sensible run ever…but when did I ever claim to be sensible?!

Reply

And I hope you enjoy your run! I’ll be thinking of you!

That chocolate thing looks amazing!!

Up at 5am as it’s race day! Does anyone ever get out of bed at the time excited for the race? Ugh I’m sleepy ;)

The only thing better than 10 miles in the mountains is the 7 miles I got to run with my mom this morning :) (Though I think both of us would have preferred 10 in the mountains!)

Reply

That dessert… oh my. Looks delicious.

Glad I’m not the only one who is all like… Wha?! That first dessert! I never saw such a thing, but now I’m sad that I haven’t! Looks unreal.

I’m seriously so envious of your ability to run back to back days at such high mileage. Ever since I’ve ITBS I haven’t been able to go back to back days if its over 2miles. What’s the secret?!?!?!?

If I had Curly’s hair, I would be an extremely happy person. Have a great run and I hope you don’t run into any mountain lions! ;)

Never a dull moment in Utah…love how many things you get out and do with so many friends and Curly too!! If you stay in Utah her and Brook will be as close as you and your sisters…which is very cool!!

Your food always makes my mouth water too!! YUM!

Carrying Brooke while giving Curly a ride on your back = cross training.

That little boy is definitely stylish. So cute! I’m going to come visit and let’s just eat all the desserts. Who needs real food when dessert is an option?

Please describe what that chocolate bomb thing is. I THINK I NEED ONE.

Enjoy your mountain run…tell me about the hardest hill so I can pretend I’m there. Hard hills are my fave. They are the best place to test one’s mettle :)

I had a friend give me one of those chocolate cake mousse things from kneaders after watching her kids for her. I think that should be our countries new currency. Best dessert ever.

I have been stalking/following you for a while now and I can’t get enough of your little Brooker. She makes me want a little munchkin of my own. Your posts have helped me get through a running injury that has been plaguing me for 4 years. I am up to 7 miles now thanks to your encouraging words and my awesome PT! Love your blog!

That just made me excited for a quick second! When I saw that little boy, I thought… wow! He looks really familiar! Then when I saw his mom I knew I was right! My hubby was in the same class as her hubby in Oakley, Idaho (I won’t include names just in case ;). Small world!
