One reason I love my car and I kind of want quadruplets now.

One reason that I really love my car is because next to the cup holder is a little section that perfectly stashes candy.  It is also in a place that you can’t see from looking in the window so that people aren’t tempted to break in to my car to steal my goods.

Brooke’s first tooth came in yesterday.  This is a huge deal so please take a moment to soak it all in.

And just because I love this picture.

Yesterday afternoon I helped my MIL with the finishing touches of her ‘Oh the Places You’ll Go’ themed preschool graduation that is today.  Have you ever seen cuter marshmallows in your life?  From Target, of course.

DSC 4044

My MIL had a girls night planned with one of her friends and when she invited me I couldn’t say no so I had to go eat out for the 30th meal in a row.

If you haven’t noticed yet, I really am having a thing for salads lately.   Salads just taste that much better in the summer.  Cobb Salad from BJ’s:

And then somebody had the idea to get our own mini Pizookies (hot/gewey/delicious cookie with ice cream on top).   I could have eaten 12 of these they were so good.

After dinner we went to Kohl’s and Brooke wasn’t patient enough to go to the fitting rooms and just started trying on anything she could get her hands on.

Photo 2

Finished off with experiencing what it would be like if Brooke was a quadruplet.  Talk about a party.

I think twizzlers might be my favorite although you can’t go wrong with marshmallows. I keep telling my roommate who is from Cali that im going to visit her just to try those pizookies. Ever since I first learned about them it’s all I can think about.

Reply

Brooke as a quad? Four times the adorable-ness. I had three kids in 17 months…not at all quads but triple fun and triple trouble for sure!

Reply

I’m not a candy person – but my vice is chocolate haha! Quadruplets would be crazy! No multiples in this family :)

Reply

A candy stasher is a quality thing to look for in a car, but my question is… how do you keep them from melting? ;) I’ve left candy bars in my car before, only to end up slicing my tongue on the wrapper when I tried to lick all the melted chocolate off. Oh the things I’ll do to satisfy the sweet tooth…

Reply

Summer has brought out a gummi love affair. Liking those orange slices A LOT. Last candy I had was gummi bears.

Reply

Oh BJ’s… I miss that place so much! Their BBQ Chicken Salad is awesome there, and nothing needs to be said about how incredible their pizookies are. Have you ever had their Oreo one? I kind of love it.

Reply

I’ve always thought multiples would be fun! My husband looks at me like I have five heads when I tell him that.

Reply

I love Twizzler Cherry Bites, but the last candy I had was a Kit Kat bar. There is a BJs near my parents, and they always bring us monster size jars of PB when they visit. I like PB, but my husband consumes massive amounts on a weekly basis. He’s so glad that our girls like PB too. My oldest brother just had twins – one boy and one girl.

Reply

My youger brother and sister are twins, but as far as I know, the only multiples in the family.

I’ve been on a smarties kick of late, I’m in a two a day habit :)

Reply

I really like Hershey’s extra creamy with toffee and almonds! Or dove milk chocolate :-) quadruplets would definitely be a party! What’d billy say when you told him you wanted them lol???

Reply

The last cereal I had was Honey Nut Chex, it’s one of my go-to cereals. I also found out that Chex has a new Vanilla flavor that Monica from RER says tastes like Rice Krispy Treats cereal. Not sure if I can believe that, but I need to get my hands on it! We have lots of BJ’s around here. I always thought that they were probably like Costco since we don’t have any of those.

Reply

I am a twin and my younger sister was supposed to have a twin as well but she was the only one that survived the pregnancy. I really hope I have multiples. It would be tough to have two (or more) babies at once but sounds wonderful in the end.

Reply

The only thing cuter than one Brooke is 4 Brookes! I love any chocolate candy but lately York Peppermint Patties are really hitting the spot. I have never had a pizookie but now I feel like I need one.

Reply

I think the last candy I had was pb m&ms when we were driving from Nashville to Knoxville a couple weeks ago.

There aren’t any multiples in my family, but my husband is a fraternal twin and I think they might run in his family.

I’ve never been to a BJ’s. I don’t think we have them around here.

Reply

I’m not much of a candy person – I prefer chocolate cookies or ice cream. The last candy I had was an almond joy (I love anything with coconut). Btw: I went to Target for the first time in 5 years yesterday….sadly, that’s not an exaggeration. Of course, I found the aisle where they put there kettle balls and started working out!

Day 3 of my giveaway and it’s getting intense!

Reply

I’ve never heard of a pizookie but that is something i need in my life going forward :) i eat way too much candy- if its around i eat it. ive been pretty successful at kicking my sour patch kids addiction, but ive replaced it with dove chocolates. they’re just so good.

Reply

I think I had some peanut m&m’s during a volunteer shift at a trail race. It tasted so good in the middle of the woods.
And though there aren’t any multiples in the family, I can think of five sets of twins (different families) in my life!

Reply

Oooh this is the perfect question!

Haribo! Have you ever had any? The options are endless! My favorite bag is the
“Color-ado” because it has so many different kinds in them! The “tropi-frutti” are good too. And the “happy-cola”!

When we fly back to the US, I will reserve one suitcase just for Haribo. No joke.

I don’t have quadruplet siblings, but I have three brothers that kinda look alike. Does that count, too?

Have a spectacular first-tooth celebration!!!!

Reply

My last candy was some sour gummy worms I stole from my older set of twins. We actually have two sets of twins and a single in the middle – all boys. Multiples did not run in my family, but I guess it does now!

We don’t have BJ’s around here but the salad and dessert look great! Brooke is really just too cute!!

Reply

peanut butter cups are up there as a favorite chocolate — but for favorite non-chocolate candy, i’d have to say sour gummy bears. OR the best of both worlds: chocolate covered gummy bears.

Reply

Love pizookies :) We do have a couple sets of twins in my distant family. I don’t think I could handle quadruplets! Last candy I had was a york peppermint patty. Yum!

Reply

I’ve been wanting to try BJ’s. Looks like I need to try it sooner rather than later! I love salads in the summer, too!

Reply

My grandpa was a twin and he’s always told me that he predicts, for whatever reason, that I’ll be the one in the family to have twins…someday we’ll see! But I’m not exactly crossing my fingers for that to happen ;)

Reply

I’ve cut back on candy, but I’m fairly sure Reese’s are what got me through the stress the few months before my wedding! Something so right about chocolate and peanut butter together…!

My aunt has twins. I think one of my grandparents or their siblings was a twin. Does that mean it runs in the family? Maybe it’s a fluke. Having twins scares me. So many babies at once!

Never been to BJ’s or had a real Pizookie, but I totally make cookie sundays on my own. YUM! I’m jealous of your food!

Reply

I love starbursts, skittles, and cherry blow pops! Mostly the candies that look super artificial that say its natural! hahah

Don’t the hershey’s melt in your car? That’s my problem with chocolate. I like to stash it and by the time I find it and want to eat it, it’s melted at the bottom of my bag or in my car :(

Reply

I thought that too! Chocolate always melts in my car and makes a big mess :(

Reply

Me too! I’m always devastated when I go to eat something and its melted… More because of the lack of chocolate than the mess to clean up haha)

Reply

Those Pizookie’s look amazing! Yum!!!

Reply

Brooke as quadruplets would be adorable!!! :)

Last candy…hmmm..I ate a bag of pretzel m&ms on monday, which is odd b/c I’m not a huge chocolate fan. i love any and all sugar filled candy – Skittles, gummy bears, jelly beans, etc but my ALL TIME faves are Candy Corn, Conversation Hearts and CIRCUS PEANUTS!. Love.

I used to shop at BJs but have no idea what a pizookie is???

one of my best friends has 2 year old twins, and my Dad has twin cousins but I think that’s it for family…

Reply

M&M’s or Mounds are my favorite candies… I don’t really eat a lot of it because if I’m going to eat that kind of calories I’d rather have ice cream or cookies!

Yay for Brooke’s first tooth!!!

Reply

My cousin has twins. And for some reason my boyfriend is so positive that when we get married we will have twins. Not too sure how I feel about that but if it happens it happens! And we will make millions off his future seeing skills.

Reply

I have twins! Fraternal boys who just turned three in May. I also have a 6 year old and 5 year old. The twins were kind of a surprise. We were trying for #3 but were definitely blessed with #3 and #4. Having twins is awesome! Challenging at times, but so, so fun. They are the best of friends, but can be the worst of enemies.

Reply

Last candy I had was at a friend’s place- candy covered fennel seed. I know it sounds strange but they were actually pretty good. Fav candy though would probably be any type of gummy. My cousin had triplets (phew), I can’t even imagine having twins let allowed triplets lol. I think I’d need lots of candy yo get through the day!

Reply

I actually have been to BJ’s! We don’t have them in Canada, but my boyfriend has taken me there a few times because there’s one in his town in Washington! They definitely have yummy food. I had the California sandwich last weekend!

Reply

Brooke is too stinkin cute!!!

Reply

I had Reese’s Sticks this past weekend- totally the exact same thing as a nutty bar.

My sister has identical twin boys- apparently identicals are not genetic which makes me happy- one at a time, please.

Reply

Favorite candy right now: swedish fish! I ate them at one of the aid stations during my 50-miler, and now I can’t stop thinking about them! :)

Reply

Some dark chocolate – of that counts ;) I love any dark chocolate or gummy candy, just nothing sour!
No multiples in my family, I was a little scared when I got pregnant I hear the words twins though.
Never been to BJs, and can you believe I have never had a pizookie, not sure I have seen them anywhere!

Reply

How is that chocolate not melted in your car? Last kind of candy I had was some dark chocolate with caramelized nuts in it. Very good!

We have twins on my mother’s and fathers side – natural too. I hear they skip generations though so supposedly I am “safe” but my children could have twins.

Reply

It’s been a while since I’ve had candy…but ice cream, everyday! Cookies and cream is my fave!

My grandfather had two sets of twin siblings…I’m wondering if twins will make an appearance again ;).

I have been to BJs but I totally missed the Pizookie train!

Reply

My Mother in Law is a twin and my Sister’s Husband is a twin.
I have no idea what the last candy I have had was, but my guess is that it was something chocolate.

Reply

Haha Brooke as a quadruplet–you’d have your hands full!

The last kind of candy I had was 70% dark chocolate with pistachios. My favorite is Twix…I don’t get quite enough of it. Probably because my definition of enough would make me twice the weight I am now.

Reply

I am & always will be a York Peppermint Patty kinda gal :)

I have twin nieces… I had to go over every night to help with baths (my brother worked 2nd shift)… 2 babies is tough!! I can’t imagine more then that…though 4 Brooke’s is a pretty darn cute thing! :)

Reply

The pizookie’s are DELICIOUS! I was looking through some of your older posts and saw you mentioning beignets at BJ’s and thought it was blasphemy that you weren’t eating the pizookies. You were definitely missing out before. The chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream is my favorite. It’s one of the only desserts that I can eat all of, no sharing.

Reply

I have a stash of candy in my work refrigerator. Currently I’m really into reese’s mini cups and york peppermint patties. I’m not one to refuse any type of candy though. Well except orange flavored ones, those are just not my cup of tea.

I love how happy Brooke looks in the picture of her looking in the mirror! So adorable!

Reply

Last candy that I had was a mini Reese’s cup and they are probably my very favorite. I seriously cannot resist those things!

No multiples in my family but I wanted to be a twin so bad! I remember being little and obsessed with the Olsen twins and unable to understand why it was too late to wish for a twin. Oh how silly I was.

Reply

That salad looks delightful. Yum. My stepdad is a Twin… he’s old enough that they didn’t know he was a twin until his mom was giving birth and there were two babies! Could you imagine?

Reply

I am so jealous of the salads that you get to eat. I think California must have better salads than I’m getting in the Chicago suburbs. The last candy I ate and my current favorite candy are the same–Swedish Fish! (Best post-run fuel to restock glycogen stores ever!)

Reply

I want a hot cookie topped with ice-cream…even if it is only 9:52am. I already have cinnamon sugar on my pancakes (WITH maple syrup), so what’s another cookie?!?

Reply

Last candy I had was Mento’s, love them to death forever :)
I’ve been to BJ’s, but the last time I went, which was 4 years ago!!, not sure why I haven’t gone since, I will need to change that ASAP since that salad looks so bomb!! And I’ve never had a pizookie :/

Reply

Bt doesn’t the chocolate melt? Or do you eat it all, Nom Nom Nom?

At camp we used to have chipwich night which was a giant freshly baked cookie, ice cream all drizzled with chocolate and caramel – we would go nuts for it. And by we, I mean the staff haha

Reply

Skittles. The candy doesn’t melt?

The Kidless Kronicles

Reply

Last candy – kit kat bar. Mmmm. Love BJs, love the pizookies… I crave them randomly sometime but the nearest one is in the town about 45 minutes away. Rawr.

Lol, Brooke as a quadruplet would be so awesome! Too much cuteness. :)

Reply

Last candy I had was Lucky Country licorice – seriously the best licorice ever (just posted about it and have a giveaway going right now). Love that stuff! And you are CRAZY (times 4) for wanting quadruplets! Brooke may be a super duper cutie, but I couldn’t imagine 4 little babies at the same. Talk about a workout!!

Reply

Last candy I engulfed was those mini Kit Kats that I would eat the whole bag of in one sitting so I had to stop buying them. Before that it was chocolate covered blueberries so I had to stop buying those to-I have no self contol-lol! I have never had or heard of a pizcookie, but do I ever want one right now!! 4 of Brooke would be pure awesomeness!!

Reply

Pizookies are the best! But I actually like making my own.

Reply

I ate some M&Ms yesterday…among other treats. Ooops

I have a set of cousins who are twins!

Pizookies are delicious! I love combining as many treats as possible. Probably why I like froyo so much

Reply

I definitely have a candy stash in my car along with a snack bar stash and some dried papaya sticks. ;-) Just in case I get hangry. And I don’t believe anyone could say no to a pizookie! You’re not human if you do! Last candy I ate was chocolate chips straight from the bag. YUM

Reply

My sister and I are identical twins and I would LOVE to have twins! But identicals are a fluke and don’t run in the family so I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed.

Reply

Last candy I had was chocolate covered raisins…the last of my stash, unfortunately!
Twins run in my moms side of the family, so we’ll have to see what happens when I get to the baby stage…quadruplets would be intense! Although four of Brooke would be an awful lot of adorable-ness ;-)

Reply

YUM! Pizookies are such a delicious treat. And your salads look so good too, love a fresh salad in the summer. You inspired me to get Cafe Rio for dinner tonight!

Reply

Yes to the triplets! We live in Irvine and I would be thrilled for you to meet my tribe. They are 12 and love “babysitting” because they don’t have younger siblings. Please let me know if you have time tomorrow or will still be in Orange County next week. You can see what your future would look like with Brooke X 3!!!

Reply

My sister has a daughter and then a set of twins- a boy and a girl. I only want to have two kids (boys preferably). I go back and forth on the twin desire- on one hand I get it done and over with at the same time… but on the other hand- if I mess up with one kid I don’t get a second chance at another after I’ve learned from my mistakes ;)

Reply

Any kind of chocolate is good for me, preferably dark. Or with sea salt and caramel. The last candy I had was a handful of mini chocolate chips after breakfast.

No multiples here, though I secretly wanted to have twins.

LOVE BJ’s and their pizookies! Their buffalo chicken pizza is one of my faves!

Reply

I’m living chocolate covered raisins from Costco right now! I actually think twins would be fun ha it’d be crazy though!

Reply

Never been to BJ’s., but there is a restaurant in Logan called Firehouse Pizzeria and they serve pizookies. My roommates and I used to go get when them when any of us had ‘troubles’. Now when we have our annual roommate get togethers there is always food involved, and it changes, but we ALWAYS make pizookies to finish it off. Mmmm. Do you think it would be inappropriate for me to eat one for breakfast right now?

No multiples in my family. Though I still have a fear that instead of getting pregnant with #3 next, it will be #3 and #4. Oh man. Two at a time. I would die. But then I see the picture of Brooke and think having 4 of her might be a dream. She is so dang cute. Yay for teeth! Hopefully she has been doing alright? Teething is usually no fun. Anna’s took for.ev.er. to break through and she was a mess. I could never even tell with Evan. He would smile and there would be new teeth in his mouth. My children could not be any more different in every way.

Enjoy your easy run today and I hope you get another yummy salad to eat. I am jealous of all your yummy food!

Reply

Haha, think twice before you want multiples! My brothers are twins (were supposed to be triplets, but things happen) and they were enough to handle when we were younger! But fun of course!

Reply

I have twins and they are just the best thing that has ever happened to me. They are best friends and play together all day, every day! Hearing their little conversations is so funny! Not quite 2 yrs old yet and they say the funniest things to each other. Now I’m pregnant with #3 and I kind of worry that he/she won’t have a buddy and will feel left out of the twin bond :( I’m sure it will all work out though :)
Doesn’t the chocolate melt in your car? Or does it only last from one stop to the next, anyway?? Haha

Reply

Hehehe you bring so much joy to my mornings! You are a riot. This made me laugh out loud: “It is also in a place that you can’t see from looking in the window so that people aren’t tempted to break in to my car to steal my goods.”

I just recently went to CA to visit my boyfriend and I celebrated my birthday with a BJ’s pazookie!! :) Most recent candy I’ve had? M&Ms!

Reply

My husband has a twin….identicals. Although I really don’t think they look all that much alike anymore, maybe more when they were kids.

My favorite candy is anything chocolate!! Last one I ate was a mini twix.

Oh and pizookies are to die for!! Yum!

Reply

Hahaha. Love the idea of brooke as a quadruplet.

Mmmm pizookies are so delish!

Reply

omg pizookies are sooooooo good. Now you’ve made me want one!!! And Brooke is looking so happy and cute- but nothing’s new there :)

xo

Reply

I grew up with BJs in my town and now I live right by a Costco, I MUCH prefer BJs. I only shop for one so at this point wholesale is not super helpful, they do sell uber cheap wine though! So does Trader Joes…

Reply

Sour jubes are my fave right now! Mmm so good!

I totally do that in my car too but the other day I went for a chocolate and it was totally melted because my car got so hot in the parking lot! Be careful!!! I’ll stick to things that don’t melt now ;)

Reply

Last candies I had were the mint & dark chocolate swirls by Dove. They were good but ultimately my favorite candy is peanut butter M&M’s.

Twins run on my dad’s side of the family. My grandma has twin sisters. Personally I think it would be pretty cool to have twins, either identical or fraternal.

Ahh BJ’s…I’ve been there numerous times. My favorite pizookie is the chocolate chip one. Usually I try and get a mini but sometimes I just have to get the regular sized one. So delicious!

Reply

Awww! Brooke is really growing up! *sniffle sniffle tear* ;(
I last had … umm … caramels I think? I love those …
I am a twin! :D
And I go to BJ’s a lot :) I’ve never had a Pizookie though

Reply

HOLY PAZOOKI i would give up my left hand to try one of those. Yum!!!! :) Also brooke literally warms my heart. She is precious.

Reply

Dark Chocolate almonds, I live on them. I have 3.5 year old triplet girls and it is the greatest thing. There is constant entertainment in my house. They enjoy road races too, I see some racing buddies in the future!

Reply

Candy isn’t my favorite but give me chocolate and it’s all gone. Omg I want a pizookie!!

Reply

Haha if Brooke was a quadruplet that would be WAY too much cuteness to handle! And I got some froyo yesterday, so the last candy I had was on there – a couple sour gummy worms and reeses pb cups!

Reply

I just went to BJ’s yesterday! I got the ahi poke appetizer (ahhhh – so good!) and the thai mango chicken salad. yum!

Reply

I’m not much of a candy person… my hubby does get the occasional craving for jelly beans though, so there’s always a mini stash in the house, usually.

And oh yes, my family is all about the multiples. My mom is a fraternal twin, and I have an identical twin sister! Plus, I have cousins who are twins. I’ve always wanted fraternal twins myself, but many people say it’ll probably skip a generation… so I’ll guess we’ll see one of these days! ;-)

Reply

I will always be a peanut butter & chocolate candy lover. Reeses, reeses pieces, etc. I love reeses ;)

Reply

I cannot control myself if Swedish fish, sour watermelons or peaches are anywhere in sight! Yay for a first tooth!

Reply

My dad was a twin but all of our kids are singletons. I always thought it would be a blast having multiples. But a part of me knows better!

Reply

May I please have a copy of Brooke too?! Gabriella would LOVE a friend like Brooke to play with all of the time :D
I also would like one of those Pizookies IMMEDIATELY!
YAYYYYY for her tooth. Still waiting for G’s first one, I wish I could help her push them through, poor thing is hurting :(

Reply

I always go to BJs for my birthday because you get a free pizookie! That’s pretty much the only time I go there.. But my boyfriend and I have talked about going there just for pizookie before. We saw another couple do that and thought it was so cute.

Reply

Last kind of candy was M&M’s….plain, but delicious! So good when they are warm….is that weird?

I have twin nephews!! I’m seeing them this weekend when I go up to Seattle to do the RNR Seattle Marathon (SR’s 50th!!!! Hot dang!). I have been so ready to cuddle with my two boys all year!! (They’re seven months….and I am in love!)

PIZOOKIE!! I think you should have BJ’s themed party…..pizza, salads, cookies, ice cream….YES!

Reply

Just devoured 3 Reese’s Fast Break bars and dark chocolate Kit Kat. Nice little afternoon pick me up.

Reply

That pizookie looks amazing! I like any candy that has chocolate in it. I love the bags of Halloween candy that have a variety of bite sized candies. That way I don’t have to choose!

Reply

Sadly, I’ve never had a pizookie. I am incredibly jealous of yours.

Reply

Brooke’s first tooth, how exciting! As my cousin says, she’s one step closer to eating bacon. :) Little G was late getting teeth, but once she started, it was like they all came in at once!

The last candy I ate was chocolate covered peanuts…so good!

Reply

I had my first pizookie a few months ago. It was so sinfully delicious that I swore I’ll never have another one–too dangerous. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Trader Joe’s almond butter too, but it has not been on the shelves in months at the two stores I visit–going through withdrawal. And, yes, I have twin grandkids–double awesome! :)

Reply

I have twins, trust me you don’t want more than one at a time!:) Only Fraternal twins are hereditary (on the mom’s side). My twins are identical and that can happen to anyone!

Reply

I’ve been hooked on s’mores lately! I know it’s not really candy but it involves candy! ;)
One of my friends sisters just had triplets… talk about crazy!! I’m a twin and probably wouldn’t mind having twins but triplets and quadruplets… that’s crazy talk!!
YAY for Brooke’s first tooth! :)

Reply

I’d have to say my favorite candy is chocolate dipped pretzels. Something about the salty, sweet combo. Yum!

Reply

I bought the book “Oh the Places You Will Go” and I am going to have all of his homeroom teachers sign it and give it to V on his high school graduation

Reply

Hot Tamales :) They are the perfect road trip candy. We love pizookies and nothing is better than a homemade one!

Reply

Haha, I love the candy stash! But, how do you keep it from melting??
