I knew I was in trouble when my warm-up had me out of breath:) PS I went to my old high school’s track….. go Timberwolves.
On my schedule for today I was supposed to go to the track to do a timed 5k after a warm-up and followed with a cool-down. My mom came and walked around with Brooke in the jogging stroller while I ran.
My coach told me to go out conservatively and shoot for negative splits (second half faster than the first half).
I thought I was being conservative because I felt great in the beginning but by mile 2 I realized I went out way too fast.
I did an incredible job at positive splits though;)
6:25, 6:35, 6:45 and I don’t know what the last .1 was…. total time 20:30 average 6:37. My legs positively wanted to die but this will help us see where I am at and how I progress in the next few months. FYI I literally finished and within 2 seconds I was laying on the ground because I was so tired.
I did a little bit of super slow running with Brooke afterwards. You simply cannot be sad ever when this is your view (ps don’t worry, she had 12 layers of sunscreen on):
Do you hear angels singing when you see the below image like I do?
I am going to Arizona tomorrow so my mom took me for my favorite salad and bread twists before I left.
The sister is sick today so I took Curly with us and then I am going to pick up the older kiddos from school and take them all on an adventure in just a few minutes.
Curly is already mourning the fact that Brooke is leaving… evidence below:
Mom’s really are the best. I could hang out with her every day.
