The hardest cardio workout I have done in a long time.

We met in a parking lot at 5:55 a.m. this morning to run.  I was a solo runner for SO many years and it wasn’t until the last year or two that I started running with people and it has changed my world.  Friends + endorphins is almost too good to be true.

Also crazy running fact about me…. I haven’t ran on a treadmill in monthSSSSSS!  If you read my blog (especially in Utah) before than you may remember that 90% of my runs were on the treadmill.  I am a changed woman.  I cannot even begin to understand how I ran a treadmill marathon and multiple 20+ milers on it?!?

I do 0% of my runs on a treadmill, can’t even remember when the last time I was on a treadmill was. I’d much rather run in the cold and wet then on a treadmill.

I run with other people for about half my runs. I run with a group on Tuesday’s and Saturdays and then I normally run with my husband a day or two and other people occasionally.

Reply

That is awesome!!! How did you find your running group?

Reply

When I moved to Seattle I just started googling running groups and found the one I run with now. It’s a group run by a coach who also provides us with training which is awesome

Reply

That is seriously so cool! Good for you Amanda!

Reply

I have to ditto Amanda. Hands-down, best thing I ever did was join a running group. We have one that meets at my local running store. I’m moving to FL in June, and will have to find another one, but already found a local Moms Run This Town chapter, and the running store a few miles from my new house has a running group that meets and ends at a local bar, LOL. :-)

I HATE the treadmill. And anything you plug in to get that cardio in, LOL. Being outside, and especially being outside with friends is the best. :-)

And Brooke is truly one of the cutest babies ever (besides my two kids, of course ;-)

Reply

Hey Shirley,
What part of Florida are you moving to? I am in the Fort Lauderdale/ Boca Raton area and would love to take you out for a run if you are moving to this area! :)

Reply

Bummer–I’m moving to Palm Harbor. A little bit too far from you :-) My dad has a house in Port Charlotte, though, so I’ll be down there a few times a year to visit him when he’s in town.

Reply

Have a safe trip back to Utah tomorrow. We’re heading to St. George to volunteer at IM St. George and visit with my hub’s family.

I’d say that 50% of my runs are with others (the hub and daughter) and 50% are solo.

Reply

Have an INCREDIBLE time volunteering tomorrow. That is so awesome!!! 50%… I like that number!

Reply

The treadmill and I definitely don’t have a good relationship ;) I do most of my runs outside…even in the freezing cold! My Bebe’s both started getting teeth at about nine months! They were actually really good during =) I hope hers are an easy process! Unhappy Babe is never fun!

Reply

HAHAHA I am sorry you don’t have a good relationship. Brooke is almost nine months… maybe it really is!

Reply

I love the picture of you and all your friends with the babies! SO CUTE! It’s like one big mommy and me party. I’ve become a wimp when it comes to running alone and start having withdrawals. I guess being on a team does that to you.

Reply

Seriously… there is just something too awesome about running with other people!

Reply

It’s probably teething! My daughter didn’t get her first teeth until she was around Brooke’s age, but my son is only 5 months and they are coming in. He is waking up every two hours at night until I nurse him back to sleep and it’s driving me bananas! Some people swear by Hyland’s teething tablets. And of course there is Sophie the Giraffe, the most expensive piece of rubber on the market.

Reply

FIVE MONTHS… wowzers! Hahaha friend has that giraffe and I couldn’t believe how expensive it was!

Reply

Sophia is expensive but worth all $25 worth! Why didn’t we think of that???

Reply

My dad took my daughter on a walk once and came back without Sophie. He couldn’t understand why I was upset until I told him how much it cost!

Reply

90% of my runs are dates with the tread. What else so you do while a babe sleeps???

Reply

That is exactly what I did for the first 6-7 months!!! Now I go before she wakes up and Billy goes to school but I don’t know what I will do this summer when Billy goes to work earlier than he goes to school now!

Reply

I do about 1/4 of my runs on the treadmill while my youngest sleeps. It’s how I get my speed work in and I catch up on Netflix shows! I have 3 kids and they all got their first teeth around 10-12 months. Lots and lots of drool!! Have a good trip!

Reply

Right now about 80% of my runs are on the treadmill but I can’t wait for it to be lighter and warmer in the morning so I can run outside more often!
I don’t run with others very often but I love it! I think it’s so fun!

Reply

Living in The Bay Area and being able to pretty much run year round-I feel so sorry for those who have to run on treadmills. It’s easy to run in great weather. You guys are my hero

Reply

Right now I do zero TM runs but will start incorporating more as the summer heat sets in. I do about 2 runs a week with my fiancé and those are def my favorite runs :)

Reply

I loooove running with my hubby :) WAY better than running alone! I need to start running with friends, too, I mean, you’re right: endorphins PLUS friends?! Too much good :)

xo

Reply

About 1% on a treadmill maybe and that’s just when I can’t get outside before dark and we’re staying in a hotel. The other 99% of the time I run with people (little ones who ride in a stroller) but I haven’t run with another adult since I got to run with Elizabeth in Katy, TX.
And teeth: Isla was around 1 but Aliana was a lot earlier… 6 months I think.

Reply

The treadmill is a total last resort for me…If I have to run indoors, than usually I head to the track at the Y, even though it takes 14 laps to make a mile, which is a LOT of running around in circles when training for longer distances!! I have one running friend and we run together every now and then, when our schedules magically align :)

My oldest daughter got her first tooth at 6 mo., and I think my youngest was more like 9 mo. I’m embarrassed that I can’t quite remember…They are 7 and 9 now and my oldest doesn’t even believe in the tooth fairy anymore which makes me want to cry a little :( Oh, and I second Sophie the Giraffe, though we had one that a friend actually brought back from Paris before they were really sold here in the U.S. and people used to ask me why my baby was chewing on a dog toy :)

Reply

I used to do every run outside and avoided the treadmill at all costs! Now, however, I tend to favor the treadmill more than running outside! That might also have to do with the crazy minnesota weather…we just got more snow! When it is nice out I will definitely be running outside again!!

Reply

I live in MN too! Maybe we can run together one of these days!
I have been on the treadmill since January, not only due to weather, but also because I am coming back from a tibial stress fracture. I needed to avoid the hard surface of the road for a while, and I am really glad that period coincided with winter. Now I am starting to run outside again, and managed two outdoor runs before the crazy weather started again!
My babies (5 of them) all got their two bottom teeth at 6 months! Then they didn’t start losing teeth till they were 7. Weird!

Reply

Where in MN are you ladies from? I’m from MN too!

Reply

Maybe 2% of my runs are on treadmills. I prefer outside. I love running with people but never do! I can’t find anyone to run with! Sometimes my mom will ride her bike next to me and that’s pretty awesome.

Reply

I do 0.1% of my runs on a treadmill. I won’t say never but it is rare that I run indoors. I also never run with other people. I am trying to make it to a group run tonight. I need friends!

Reply

Pushing a stroller uphill in the -sand-?!? Sounds absolutely brutal. And speaking of brutal… the treadmill. Woof. I try to avoid it at all costs, which unfortunately isn’t possible for a big chunk of the year considering I live in Alberta and we get 6 months of winter. It definitely makes me appreciate the time I’m able to spend outside, though!!

Reply

2% of runs on a treadmill, ony occasional spead work. I do my long runs with a local running store group and I love it. Met some really great friends and there is much easier to do 20+ with other people then by yourself, also have a coach that has done 50+ marathons!!!

Reply

I do NO running on a treadmill. Not only do I not have access to them but I hate them anyways. Lucky for me I live where we can run outside 12 months a year (It may get crazy hot…but there’s nothing on the ground preventing you from running).

My oldest child didn’t get his first tooth until 9 months. It was a miserable time for us and I didn’t really understand why he was so fussy and difficult. My younger got his first tooth at only 5 months old and I had a better idea of his teething cues.

Reply

I NEVER ran on the treadmill until I moved to a city where I can’t run alone in the dark in the mornings.
Man o Man I miss the good ole days!

Reply

I avoid the “dread”mill at all costs….I run on it if 1) it’s negative degrees outside, 2) it’s 100+ degrees outside (yes, in VA we get BOTH), or 3) my husband is gone and I can’t put the baby in the BOB due to aforementioned weather conditions. I did 18 miles on it during my marathon training…never again! I LOVE running with other people – I find that I push myself a lot harder when someone is with me.
My little guy started getting teeth at 6 months. That was nothing compared to when 3 of his 4 molars came in at the SAME TIME! Talk about pain – for babe and mom! Good luck to you and Brooke!

Reply

0%!!! Partly because I don’t have access to one partly because I get so bored! Noah got his first tooth at 9 months… Although we thought it was coming in at 4. Hope y’all had a blast at the beach :-)

Reply

I NEVER run on the treadmill–I think that running 12 miles outside is easier than 3 on the treadmill! When I run on it, I feel like the treadmill is controlling me and making me go really fast–I don’t know why but a 7 min mile pace feels like death on a treadmill, but on the ground it feels fine.

Reply

I like the TM….but I like outside running the best when it’s perfect weather. Yep, I’m that runner–good weather & I run outside. Hah. I actually like the TM b/c I prefer doing sprints & I get to watch movies. Hahaha!

Love Brooke’s face in the stroller as you pant to get up the hill. hahaha

Reply

I run almost all of my runs with friends… different ones on different days of the week! I run 0% of my runs on a treadmill now, but for the 2010 Boston Marathon, I had to run several 20+ milers and many weekday runs on it because of snow. That was enough treadmill running for me for a while! :-)

Reply

My parents gave me their treadmill when they remodeled their bedroom and I have run on it approx 5 times since I got it in November…I run about 4x/week outdoors, mostly in the woods on trails. :)

Reply

I actually don’t workout with people very often at all. I would love to have a buddy! Have a safe trip tomorrow!

Reply

Approximately .000001% of my runs are on the treadmill. I can’t break the mental wall that greets me as soon as I step on. I never run with people…I guess I’m a lone ranger. I’m incredibly social in all other aspects of my life except for running. Have a safe trip to Utah! Enjoy your family time!!!

Reply

I love the pictures at the beach! I used to love the treadmill but my IT band and treadmills don’t get along so I only run on it when I absolutely don’t have a choice. I’ve run in sleet to avoid the dreadmill!

I use to run on the weekends with my friend but she’s moving and super busy so I’ve been solo a lot:(

My son got his first tooth at 4mo and my daughter 8mo.

Reply

Joshua just turned 9 months and he got his first two bottom teeth the same time, around 7 months-ish.

Right now I try to run outside as much as possible! But I do some runs on the treadmill, I would say about 10%

Sometimes I do long runs with my running group, but most of my runs are solo and I love it. I used to have a running partner but felt like I had to slow down for her which I didn’t like!

Reply

My 8 month old got her first tooth about 4 weeks ago! Woke up one morning and there it was! So far, she’s handling the teething process like a champ. I hope Brooke is the same! :-D

Reply

Beautiful beach…thanks for rubbing it in my face. j/k

I can’t imagine how hard it was getting that huge stroller through the sand!!! I think I may have had to pay someone else to do it me.

Reply

100% of my runs/walks are on dready.

V got his first tooth on Christmas Day, he was born on May 4, so 6.5 months

Reply

Love the term ‘dready!’ Describes treadmill perfectly!

Reply

I’m so excited that the weather’s gotten warmer and I can avoid the treadmill. It wasn’t too bad at my last gym where all the cardio machines had their own TVs, but at a regular gym I can’t do more than 30-40 minutes without going crazy.

Reply

I did a lot of treadmill running during my second pregnancy. We bought our own, so it was a great way to get in some easy running without having to drive somewhere first. I also do a lot more treadmill running in the winter, but try to avoid as much as possible once weather warms up. I love going to the local high school track for speedwork. Goes by so much faster than inside!

Reply

Winters are spent on the treadmill, and then as soon as the snow stops falling, it’s all outside. Jealous you got to spend the day at the beach….love the beach. Have a safe trip tomorrow

Reply

UGHHH I do not run on the treadmill. I put it on max incline and max power walking speed for hours, but will not run on it. I only run outside. 50% of my runs are with friends. Amazing!! Enjoy your Utah time!!

Reply

I used to run much more on the treadmill, but then I moved in with my boyfriend who has a dog and the dog just loves running with me :-) Now I run outside most of the time!

I should run with other people more often, but sometimes its really hard!

I am not a mom, but I now write for a dental publication, so let me know if you have any questions about teething :-)

Reply

I don’t ever run on a treadmill. Literally in the past year I probably have 2 times, maybe. It is so boring! I was always amazed at how far you would go on those dang things.
I just helped start a running group with people in my apartment complex. There are 4 and possibly a 5th starting next week that go with us. It is so much easier to stay motivated when your with other people then I feel like it changes it up when your alone, so that is nice too. We run every Monday and Thursday together.
I’m jealous of your beach shot. I’m craving sand and water!

Reply

I do ZERO runs on the treadmill. I have braved ice, snow, winds, and rain to avoid it. I do the majority of my runs with other people – 5 days a week. We have a great group of 8 girls going to Boston next year and our am runs are full of laughing, venting, and huffing. My 3 kids got their first teeth at 4 months, 1o months, and a year…they are all different.

Reply

I don’t have any friends to run with and I am so bummed about that. I need to find a good running group because running with other people is so nice. I ran a TON on the treadmill this winter, like more than 80% of the time, but now that it’s spring I love getting outside. Glad you had an awesome time with your friends! Your bag of Swedish fish is making me wish I had some. :)

Reply

I’m usually a lone ranger when I run. The hubs and I run together every now and then, but he likes to chit-chat and I’m usually all business…..not a good running combo :) The pictures you posted are beautiful!!!! Makes me long for the beach!

Reply

Now all I want is Swedish fish!

Reply

haha since moving back to Tampa 100% have been in the treadmill, but that is due to the awful weather we’ve been having. I have bright hopes for tomorrow though! There is only one person I feel confident enough to run with, and that is my dad – I’m rather slow, and I am embarrassed to run with anyone else!

Reply

I don’t know how you used to run so many miles on the treadmill. I run 0 miles on it. If I can’t run outside – I just don’t run, ha. I view a treadmill as a form of torture. Running is just so much more enjoyable and easy outside for me.

Reply

I do most of my shorter runs on the treadmill. There aren’t any great trails or routes in small town. I do a 1.0% incline on the treadmill to make it a little more challenging. When I do run outdoors I try to always have a partner, even if it is just for part of my run. AND… I think my little man got his first tooth at 6 months. Teething is no fun. At 16 months we are back to teething yet again. I wish they would all just come in at once and get it over with! :)

Reply

I love the purple flower ground cover plant on the beach! What’s that cookie thing behind the Swedish fish?

Reply

A marathon on a treadmill?!? You are crazy! I can barely stand to run a 5K on a treadmill.

Reply

Maybe 20% are on the treadmill 1 out of 5 each week. More during the winter though. I run with friends at least twice a week. Wishing it was beach time here!!

Reply

I love running with friends but it’s hard when some of them are a lot faster and I end up feeling like I’m holding them from a really great run! Do your running friends usually have the same speedy pace as you???? Do you ever feel like you want to go faster?

Reply

I almost always run by myself, but found a great group to train with at the track for intervals once a week. The speedy ones I run with are literally close to twice my age! We haven’t been able to train at the track near my house for the last few months, so for the first time ever, I have been consistently running on a treadmill once a week, for speed work…. and I can’t believe it, but I really, really love it! My two year old daughter didn’t start teething with her first two teeth until almost one year, but apparently, she’s on the late side with teeth.

Reply

My little one was born in January so she was too little and it was too cold to go outside with the jogging stroller. From about January to this week 100% of my runs were treadmill. Now that spring has sprung in PA I am in love with my BOB, the three of us (me, baby & Bob) go out almost every day :)

ps. I want so bad to have a running group, but I live pretty much in the middle of nowhere. The nearest group I can find is 30 minutes away. Boo.

Reply

I really do not like treadmill running, so I rarely use it. However, I did 6 treadmill miles yesterday because it was my first run after feeling some soreness and I didn’t want to go to the trail and find out that running wasn’t a good idea.

I loooove running with my running buddies. We have a group at work that goes out at lunch time. We have a few routes…5.6, 6.3, 6.7, 7.1. It’s really fun to get out of the office and get in a good run during my lunch break. :)

Reply

I would say about not even 5 % of my runs are on the treadmill….only when I am desperate…like today! Snow/rain in MAY!…That put me on the treadmill. Under 10 degrees, too much snow, ice, hard rain or no babysitter put me on the treadmill. Spring, summer and fall are usually pretty much never..this winter was about 10-15 times. Last winter I only had to 2 or maybe 3 times!
I run solo pretty much all the time…all my running friends are in the cyber world :)!

Reply

Pushing a stroller in sand is NO joke!! Going up is even crazier!!
Looks like a great day at the beach!
I’m hosting giveaways all week on my blog and today posted one about a chocolate fondue kit that I think you would enjoy…;)
Do we have a lunch date set yet for your visit to UTAH?!

I ran all of my miles on the treadmill until I did Race for the Cure in October and thought the streets and hills were trying to kill me- it was only a 5k lol!! After that I made friends with the road and since I live pretty far out in the country my only running buddy is my black lab Harley. He is way faster than me so I don’t even try a leash!! Last weekend I ran with a friend which was a first and my first half marathon. Oklahoma Memorial Marathon – such an inspirational and meaningful race. Thanks to you, SR, RER, and Elizabeth I believed in myself enough to overcome all of my excuses & try. Now running is my sanity!! So very glad I stumbled across one blog which led me to yours!

with 2 kids living in antarctica (ok – minnesota) i do a LOT of treadmill running. but i have been getting out there more the last month or 2. it’s wonderful. my 2 year old is becoming quite fast on his bike so we went for a run while he biked outing today:)
teeth = 5-6 months for my kiddos.

Reply

Yep, 20+ milers on the treadmill? You’re crazy. I took a hiatus from the treadmill for awhile, but I’m back and loving it. I stick to under 5 milers though. It gets toooooo boring.

Reply

I know you love yours, but I can’t handle the treadmill. In a pinch, it’s fine, but I’m spoiled with San Diego sunshine year round. I’d rather run outside than inside, but talk to me again in August ;)

I should be better about running with people, but I see it as my time with myself to decompress. I love putting my headphones on, cranking my iPod up and just spacing out while the stress melts away.

Reply

I’m jealous of your beach day. I cant wait to get to the beach this summer. I don’t have access to a treadmill so all my runs are outdoors and I love it! I get so bored on the treadmill. I also never run with anyone. 99% of my friends aren’t runners and those who are I rarely see and or live a bit away.

Reply

It’s so awesome how fast you made lots of friends in Cali. Ever since moving to Arizona, our friends are totally like family to us. Love the pic of you in the orange tee with Brooke. Frame that puppy. :)

My son got his first tooth the day before his 6 month birthday. And his second tooth started coming in the very next day. They basically came in together (his two bottom front teeth). At about 7.5 months his third tooth started coming in (it’s an upper one but the 2nd to front one which is very unusual). That one was/is a whammy! He’s still cutting it and it’s come with lots of pain and even blood. Not fun. Poor little guy.

I used to do all my runs solo. I hated running with other people. Then I ran throughout my pregnancy with my lil’ guy ;) At 3 weeks PP I started training for my first half marathon with my husband so 90% of my runs were with him and Jackson (our son—he’s 4 days younger than Brooke). I LOVED running with them. It seemed the days I was dragging my husband had excess energy and vice versa so we were always able to push each other. Now I’d say 99% of my runs are with them since solo runs would be me with my son in the jogging stroller and since he now weighs 22lbs it’s not that easy.

Also,

1. Where did you get your bathing suit? We’re taking a family vacation to Florida in August and I cannot find any cute one-pieces around.

2. What stroller do you have for Brooke? Not the BOB but the convenient one that you use for errands? We only have the BOB and have used it religiously since my son was born but with the beach vacation we’re renting a small car (cause it’s cheap) and that mammoth stroller most likely won’t fit in the trunk.

Thanks and as always Brooke is so cute!

Hi! New reader here. I have never ran a marathon, but I do a few miles here and there. I definitely prefer the outdoors for longer runs, but the treadmill at the gym keeps me pretty entertained with people watching. Your daughter is adorable! My kiddos never wanted down during that age as well. It is cute and hard all at the same time.

Reply

Almost none of my runs are on the treadmill. I avoid it when at all possible, so the only time I use it is during the winter if the weather is awful.

The beach looks beautiful!! Wish I were there haha.

Reply

I usually do 1 run out of 5 or 6 a week on the treadmill. I use the treadmill when I do my tempo runs so I know that I’m going a steady pace of sub-8 minute miles (it’s easier to do inside). I do not like doing short tempos outside for the fact that I have to stop for traffic lights and all those other minor annoyances.:) I can do up to 6 on the treadmill and at that point I’ve had it. I cannot imagine doing anymore than that!

Reply

That pic of Brooke lounging in her stroller is too cute!

I wish I ran with people more often. Right now 99.9% of my runs are solo. I don’t know enough distance runners in my area.

I really love my treadmill, especially because it gives me an excuse to watch tv, so I probably run at least one run a week on it.

Reply

I “think” my daughter got her first tooth around 8 or 9 months. She’s 16 now and I can’t remember much of anything these days. LOL. I was very lucky because she wasn’t fussy when she was teething. The only way I could tell she was getting a tooth was she would get a runny nose. I hope Brooke feels better soon but in the meantime enjoy all the time she wants to be held!!! Have a great trip too!!! Enjoy every second you have to spend with your family!!!

I have never run on a treadmill. I will use my elliptical when it is too cold to run outside (below 20 deg) I have to read to make the time go by and it is hard enough on an elliptical. My daughter has the slowest growing teeth ever. Here first tooth came in around 10 months. She was never really fussy just not her normal self. She would also wake up a ton and the day a tooth could come in she would be up for about three hours during the night. Lovely. We are working on molars now…

Reply

OMG Brooke’s bathing suit is too stinking adorable!!!

I would say I do about 20% of my runs on the treadmill (in the non-winter months. During winter it is much more!) It’s not my preference, but I like doing speedwork on the ‘mill so I am forced to keep pace and can easily track my intervals.

I run with a running group every Saturday and I honestly look forward to it all week. It’s an all-female group and I thank my lucky stars every day that I found them online because after training alone in the past, I can’t imagine doing it without friends now! Many of us are training for the same events, even using the same training program, so we have that comraderie of knowing “ok we have 15 miles this saturday but we are going to do it together!” I love it.

No treadmill runs. I ran on a treadmill at a gym in Dubai when I was there for holidays last year and I just found it a bit weird. I wish I did have one though for those dark, rainy days when I need to get a run in.

Usually run with my sister once a week – used to be more but now we have different running goals! I miss her and have replaced her with my iPhone… Not the same… I’ve become a very good listener though! :)

My boys were very different – one got his tooth at 6 months and the other one was 10 months – all very different!

Reply

I can only imagine how hard that was to push that stroller through the sand uphill. I wanna go to the beach!!!

Reply

I run on the treadmill a lot too, but I never run long distances on there. My treadmill runs are for speed work since I can control it easily, but my longs runs are saved for outside :)

If I lived where you do, with that weather, I would NEVER do a treadmill run!
I ran outside all winter and i loved it.
I have a running group I signed up with and have yet to meet up with them.
That will change next week after my first Half Marathon, then its all fun and run for me!

Have a safe trip home : )

No treadmill running for me lately – I live in the middle of nowhere and don’t have a treadmill or a gym very close. I do still want a treadmill for when I have a baby and for the winter months because running on icy gravel is just not happening for me.

I always run by myself – I like it, and I have no running friends nearby.

Reply

I always run on a treadmill during the winter, unless it hasn’t snowed in awhile, and the sidewalks would be cleared. But even then, I’m a huge wimp, so I’d rather not freeze my ass off haha

Lately, most of my runs have been with people. I LOVE it! A good friend of mine is home from out West, and pretty much every run has been with her. It’s awesome, because she pushes me past my ‘limits’, and I just enjoy running with someone else. Even if we don’t talk, knowing I have someone supporting my habit makes me happy. I don’t know how I’ll go back to running alone :-(

Reply

Oh, the beach looks so fun! Sand always makes me itchy though, just looking at it reminds me of sand in the bathing suit which is the most uncomfortable thing in the world.

I haven’t run on a treadmill in years, since I was training for my last marathon. I hate treadmills and the only way I survived was by watching Law and Order: SVU because it was so scary it made my runs fly by (although it was hard when it got so scary I wanted to close my eyes because it’s hard to run with my eyes closed).

I love running with people! I do about half of my runs with my sister and the other half solo during lunch at work. It’s much more motivating to go with other people. Are the people you run with as fast as you? You are quite speedy – I’d be intimidated to run with someone super fast, I always screen my partners!

My son is almost 8 months and has not one tooth. I didn’t get my first tooth until I was 18 months old, so I have a feeling it could be a while before his come in. You never know though! I know a lot of babies that started getting teeth when they were 4 months and my co-worker was born with TWO teeth!!!

Reply

I love santa Cruz beaches. I don’t run at all on a treadmill. 100% road runner! I run once a week with two other women. I look forward to that run all week. My son got his first tooth just shy of 6 months.

Hahaha…that hill prevents me from going to that beach without my husband anymore! The last time I went, I had Lola on my chest in a baby carrier, a beach chair on my back, Ada holding my hand, and the beach bag and umbrella over my shoulders! That hill is killer…way to go mama :)

I love the treadmill! :) I would say I am 100% treadmill when running (for now!) sometimes I switch it up though! Sadly I don’t run with other people, I’m pretty much fine running on my own!

I would say about 25% are on Treadmill. But really with the Spring weather upon us… I want 100% to be outside. Treadmill is so rough for me… I am usually about to die by mile 3! I just get hot and bored. But sometimes, when the training gets tough and its cold Ohio weather… You gotta do what you gotta do ;-)
I LOVE to run with others. We have a running group at work and about 4 of us will run before or after work. Plus my sister and I run together. I rarely run alone. Actually my husband is starting to run too! So now I will have him! Yeah.

HAHAH I am just now reading this, and I completely agree with you and how pushing a stroller in sand is the hardest thing to do. I live in south Florida and am a runner, but every time I have to push my daughter’s stroller through the sand it completely wares me out!!

I never run on a treadmill (although I used to and can’t believe that I ever did). And the only person I run with is my 1 year old daughter, who is obviously in a stroller and not running.

She got her first two teeth at 4 months and now at 1 year she has 6. Every tooth that came through was a problem for her. She was super cranky for each one, and it lasted for days.
