The way to his heart.

Did I tell you about the fact that my baby (it still feels like she was born 8 days ago) can now just hang out and sit up all by herself for minutes on end.

Now she is okay with keeping her socks on but her latest thing is not wanting pants on.  I don’t blame her… those legs of hers should be shown off.

BBQ chicken sandwiches is the way to Billy’s heart.  Simple as that.  We also had a walnut/cranberry/bleu cheese salad and I ended up having 3rds of it…

Somehow Brooke scooted on over to my lap and tried to steal the last few bites of my brownie sundae.

I am embarrassed to tell you how many episodes of House Hunters we watch late at night every night.  I am so in love with this show.  Maybe it is because we live in a closet and I want to start planning our future house or something but I cannot get enough of it.   When we are buying a house in the future (give or take 15 years) we will be going on this show.

Taking the BOB out for our first run ever together.  It is going to be a good morning.

Three things you would want in your DREAM HOUSE?!?!

-I really want a pool, a kitchen that is the biggest room in the house with a trillion cupboards and a home theater for my treadmill (complete with a gatorade and water fountain within arms reach of the treadmill).

Do you have a show right now that you are in love with?  Any Downton Abbey fans?  Do you think I would like that show?

What meal is the way to your heart?

I watch House hunters all the time! Did you hear that it’s fake though? It totally ruined my entire perception of the show. It’s still a good one to run to on the dreadmill for me though. They can’t lose me that easily.
First sitting up, next, running marathons ;)

Reply

What do you mean it’s fake?

Reply

It’s not entirely fake. . . we were asked to be on it when we were looking for our house. Basically, you do the show after you buy your house. You then, go through your house and 2 others that are similar and you say what you like/don’t like about each one. So, it is real in the fact that you are saying what you like about each house, but fake because the people on the show actually already have their house.

Reply

I had heard this from a friend who hosted her friends “deliberation” in their house. I still enjoy the show though, because it is so interesting to see all the different houses! I’ve always been curious what you get for being on the show, since you aren’t actually getting the realtor’s help. Did they offer you a check or something?

Janae – Have you ever seen Property Brothers? That one is my favorite HGTV show!

Reply

We didn’t end up doing it, but I think you get a few hundred dollars for doing the show. You get on the show thru the realtor – who wants to be on the show for the publicity usually. And the realtor is the one who helped you buy your house, so they did help you, just not exactly how the show portrays.

Reply

OH my goodness I can’t believe it! I had no idea it was fake!

Reply

Ahhhhhhh!!! I had no idea! I was wondering how they only see three houses and make their decision off of that!

Reply

If you pay attention close enough, the house they buy is usually the only one that is empty of furniture. If it looks like someone is already living in it, they are… as in, not the “buyers”. Totally ruined me on the show once I learned the “secret”! The International version is exempt from this…

The picture of Brooke sitting is so cute! Her eyes are super blue! We also had BBQ chicken sandwiches last night! Have a great first run with BOB :-) I think in my dream house (although I like my house now) I would have a maid and a playroom for the kids next to the living room so I could just throw all their junk in it at the end of the day and it not be displayed all over the rest of the house! I’d also like one of those open showers you can walk through. And I saw this really cool thing on pinterest that was a bathtub inside a giant shower so that your kids can bathe and not flood the floor! Clearly I’ve never thought about this before haha.

Reply

Enjoy your run with the BOB! Currently I’m enjoying the weekly favs like The Bachelor, Biggest Loser, Grey’s Anatomy, Suits… oh yeah and of course Modern Family! I had a pretty delicious lunch today – does that count? I toasted a multi grain bun and then used hummus as a spread and stuck cucumber and tomato on top! Delicious!

The key to my heart is Grandma’s Spaghetti and meatballs. In
My dream home, I’d have a fireplace in my bedroom.

She looks like she’s saying ” look at meeeee sit up by myself”. soooo adorable!

Have fun with BOB! :) My fave tv show is Grey’s Anatomy, but my husband and I are also watching X-files on Netflix – we both grew up watching it. Dream house would have a giant kitchen with an awesome gas stove, large pantry, and plenty of storage and counter space. Oh it would also have a large laundry room, a sun room, and large deck for summer BBQ’s….and I guess a garage for the winter! (Although we don’t have one now and it’s not that bad, but I grew up with one. Anything with pasta and cheese or bread and cheese or salad – that’s what I love to eat!

Three things you would want in your DREAM HOUSE?!?!

I used to spend hours when I was a kid drawing floor plans of my dream home. I was a weird kid.

My dream home would have a big open plan kitchen/dining room- one of those super cosy ones where everyone just wants to hang out, with a fire (scotland is cold!) and rugs and big squishy couches and a big old natural wood table. I’d also want a gym room, with all the classics and a huge tv screen with all the channels and DVD capabilities. And this house would be near both trails and coastal running tracks. And I’d HAVE a track on the grounds for sprint training. And it’d have a pool, also with a big tv (same as before) with a hot tub at one bit too. I’d also like a balcony, with a chair for sunny days and star type lighting twinkling around it…

Hey… a girl can dream ;-)

When I was a kid this plan included a whole space for horses including specific stable layouts, fencing type and paddocks etc. I was THAT kid. I even had detailed what I’d feed them….

Reply

Wow… So I totally ignored the ‘three things’ bit…

Also a 2 person shower that has one of those rainfall heads- my SO and I were once in a posh hotel (we got it as a freebie, could not normally afford that) and it had one and it was awesome.

House Hunters is my favorite, I am always telling the people they picked the wrong house. I am right there with you on living in a tiny apartment and dreaming of a home to own, one day soon! The way to my heart, soft shelled tacos, easy hands down winner. Enjoy your run with BoB!

Reply

I LOVE house hunters!!

At this point, I want my laundry room on the lower level (or at least out of my kitchen), I want a bathroom of my own….a bigger bedroom…..a dining room to be used for something other then a through-fare for the living room and kitchen….I want seperate rooms for my kiddos so time out is much more effective when they both go in together (which happens alot). But I would keep it exactly where we are now…just build across the yard ;)

Reply

My dream home would definitely have a room with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves. I can’t think of anything better! :)

Reply

omg brooke is going to be the biggest heart breaker when she grows up!

ps have you heard of lovetaza.com? i think you, taza, yes i want cake, and KERF have the cutest babies!!!! brooke being the cutest of course ;)

Oh I love House Hunters too… Isn’t it so fun to dream?! I would love a ginormous beautiful kitchen with lots of windows, a big grassy backyard with a ton of flowers, and a huge master bathroom with his/her closets. Someday, right? ;)
Love the photos of Brooke… When do I not love photos of Brooke? ;) She is so darn adorable!

Reply

Awwww!! Brooke is so stinkin’ cute!!!!

That BBQ chx looks delicious! How’d you make it???

Oh- and I looooove House Hunters!!! Love, love, love! I could watch it for hours and not get bored.

Reply

I really like House Hunters, but I love House Hunters International! It’s so interesting to see what’s standard or common in houses and apartments outside of the U.S. I DVR all the episodes throughout the week, so come Saturday I basically do nothing other than have a HH/HHI marathon. My life is clearly super exciting. :)

In my dream house, I absolutely have to a have a huge kitchen with a little breakfast nook tucked away in a corner. I’d also love to have a room with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves. I’m a librarian, so I have to have room for all of my favorite books. And a bedroom with a little patio or balcony would be awesome.

I’m a giant Downton Abbey fan! Love a good costume drama. If you’ve liked other popular miniseries like Pride & Prejudice or North & South, I bet you’d love DA. The writing is really, really good, the costumes and sets are gorgeous, and there a few different romances that develop along the way. My current favorite shows are Chopped, DA (of course!), Justified (it’s on Netflix), and I’ve become obsessed with a BBC series called The IT Crowd (thanks, Netflix!). I love discovering an awesome new show and having multiple seasons to catch up on, just watching one episode right after the other.

I love tacos/nachos/burritos, so Tex Mex is always a favorite, but lasagna with garlic bread and chicken, stuffing, and gravy aren’t meals I would complain about either! :)

Reply

A home theatre room for your treadmill? I think you are on to something BIG here!! Way to go Brooke, sitting up so strong!!! :)

Reply

Seriously, cutest.baby.ever.
I love House Hunters. I feel for some of those realtors when they get people with such unrealistic expectations. And it is crazy to see how the cost of living is so different, I bought our house for $51,000 here in Iowa. And some cities you cant buy a decent place for under 200K. Crazy.

Reply

Hooray Brooke for learning a new skill! I hope you enjoy your big innagural run with your BOB. I think the show that I really love right now is Game of Thrones. (And I also really like to watch Vampire Diaries; it’s my secret guilty pleasure…shh!) I have not yet watched Downton Abbey but want to sometime. I hear such good things about it.

Reply

Downton Abbey is awesome! It’s a bit like a soap opera set in the early 1900’s. I got hooked early, in the first or second episode. I just wish the seasons weren’t so darn short (only 7-8 episodes per season).

Reply

I am so obsessed with Downton Abbey right now!! I watch it on LoveFilm and am nearly up to date with the latest series which I am dreading because I have heard the last episode is a real cliff hanger. It is such a good series!

My dream home would have to have lots of spare bedrooms for people to come and stay :)

Reply

AH BROOKE! Too cute! and I LOVE House Hunters!!! My dream house would include a fully equipped gym with lots of TVs, a huge open kitchen so I could have tons of people over, and a ginormous yard/just have my house really close to a big park (hiking trails would be ideal…).

Reply

I am obsessed with House Hunters & House Hunters International, so good!

The shows that I am obsessed with right now are Sons of Anarchy and Parks & Recreation (very different types of shows..lol). My boyfriend has Netflix so we watch marathons of them on the weekends sometimes and its awesome. I need to check out Downtown Abbey, I have heard great things!

PS Brooke is the cutest baby ever

Reply

House Hunters all the way! We started looking (just online) at houses available to get a sense of what we want and that show came in handy.
BBQ chicken is great, but I prefer it with rice or quinoa rather than a sandwich (I’m weird).

Reply

Brooke can’t be sitting yet! Then you will tell us she is crawling! Make her stop! *although her crawling would be cute….ok you can let her grow some. :)

I like House Hunters International – guessing I will never know of the $$$ it takes for those people to be looking at exotic locations to relocate or purchase a 2nd home.

**I find if someone loved Anne of Green Gables – they will love Downton. They are very different, but the romantic feel of space/time/characters – is similar.**I need to catch back up on Downton – missed the last 2 weeks. But if you start it – start at the beginning! Netflix / Amazon will be able to help you.

Reply

I love Brooke’s legs! My kids had legs like that when they were babies, so squeezable!
My dream house would have my own closet (rather than sharing with hubby), and a big screen tv in front of a treadmill :)
Downton Abbey is one of my favorites, you really should watch it, it’s soooooo good!
Like lasagna, also my favorite food.
Can’t wait to hear about how you like your BOB on your run!

Reply

Love that show too! A massive, chef style kitchen, a huge jet tub in the ensuite with a TV and a beautiful backyard.
I love New Girl & Vampire Diaries.
Pancakes!

Reply

LOVE some House Hunters!! I like seeing the cost of living in different parts of the country and what you can get for your cash.
3 things: A big flat back yard for kids to play and for my future chickens and garden, CLOSET SPACE (and this includes an enormous pantry and 8 million cabinets in the kitchen), and a huge master bath.

Nothing I’m in love with currently. I couldn’t do Downton Abbey- the story line really didn’t interest me and I’m the type to watch TV while reading blogs and talking to someone and you really have to pay attention to D.A.

Thai food is the way to my heart. The hotter, the better.

Reply

Awwr! Lookit little Brooke! She’s growing up so quick :)

The number one thing that my dream house would need to have is a library, Beauty and the Beast style ;) After that, a gorgeous kitchen, and a room where the floors are made of trampolines :D

Reply

yay Brooke!! soo cute! she’s photogenic like her mommy & daddy. :)

have a great run with BOB! xoxo

Reply

Love those pictures of Brooke! She is so precious! I hope she enjoys her first run in the BOB. Those strollers are so awesome that I own two of them — a single and a double. :)

We are obsessed with HGTV at our house. Property Brothers is my current favorite but House Hunters is a close second.

We started Downton Abbey two nights ago and have only watched one episode. I like it so far but don’t love it yet. My husband will give it one more episode. If he doesn’t like it after that, it becomes a show I watch on the treadmill. Ha!

Reply

Me too! My boyfriend is moving out here to CO (he is based in San Diego now) and he is going to buy a house, so I’ve been doing the pre-search for him before he gets here. Who knew it was so fun?! I’m realizing all sorts of things that just HAVE to be in the house!!

Reply

We love Impractical Jokers and Big Bang Theory. Impractical Jokers is the most hilarious show ever! The new episode comes on tonight!!! :)

I think there are multiple meals that would be the key to my heart…home cooked Italian, some delicious pizza, fresh sushi, anything sweet… You get it.

Brooke is just adorable!

Reply

We just bought our house. I so wanted to be on the show.

Reply

I watch that show too.

My favorite meal would definitely have to be pasta.

Reply

Opps, forgot to congratulate Brooke on her big accomplishment in my earlier comment:) Good work Brooke!

Reply

I’m not normally a baby lover (not that I hate them! Just don’t coo over baby pictures). But Brooke is really freaking adorable and I can’t get enough of her big cheeks!

I think the meal to my heart would be something warm and comforting, so probably a great pasta dish. My boyfriend makes this amazing Indian veggies dish that’s typically potatoes, eggplant, and cauliflower. It’s spiced-up comfort food heaven!

Reply

I would have to have a huge fitness center, a pool, and a huge, modern kitchen:-)

I think the way to my heart is afghan food or a really good BBQ. haha. Total opposites!

Reply

I love a good pasta dish. That is the way to my carb-loving-heart!

Reply

If I was Brooke I most definitely would’ve been trying to steal your brownie sunday;)
I am in love with Greys Anatomy right now. Best show ever. Spaghetti is the way to my heart.

Reply

I LOVE House Hunters International. I dvr that show. I don’t really like House Hunterrs as much unless they are in Austin and Houston. And that is me being curious about seeing places I’ve live or live. I haven’t heard about it being totally fake. I will ask my friend who did HHI last year.

I need a big kitchen that looks like old mediterrean with warm colors and pops of blues. I love wraparound porches with a swing and/or a rocking chair. And all my houses need a big living room.

My two favorite shows right now are The Walking Dead and The Neighbors. I haven’t watched Downton Abbey, but I heard it is good.

Reply

A walk in closest, lots of windows for natural light, and lots of trees for shade.

Yes, please please watch Downton Abbey it is sooo good. The first season is on Netflix, second season on Amazon on Demand (free if you have Amazon Prime) and the third season is on TV now. I think most of the episodes are on pbs.org.

Homemade meatballs are the meal to my heart.

Reply

Huge closets! My next house hopefully has those. Also a friend let us borrow Walking Dead and it’s intense. Food I love most chicken mole.

Reply

OMG Brooke and those baby blues! Too adorable! In my dream house I’d want a pool, a library (purely because of Belle in Beauty & The Beast) and a full gym so I would never have to wait for a cardio machine or dumb bell!!

Reply

Hmm…dream house would have to include a pool BUT it has to include a pool service to take care of it, haha. We have one now and it’s SUCH a pain to manage! I’d also love a big open floor plan– our current house is very closed.

Such a great, addicting show though!

Reply

Have fun with BOB!

Reply

Since we are house hunting right now, this is easy. Dream house would have double ovens, deep sinks, wine cooler, fireplace, pool, spa, jetted tub, seperate sinks, seperate closets. I could go on. Reality would have an updated kitchen with lots of cabinets. Separate tub and shower, separate sinks.

I can’t believe how fast Brookie is growing up! :) I am hooked on the bachelor right now..list so dumb yet so addictive. I must check out Downtown Abby as it seems from my fb news feed that it’s awesome.

Reply

*sigh* Brooke is just so, so, so sweet. I want her. Send me one of those please.

Also, you changed the color of your site! You must be starting your blog changes soon. :-)

Reply

My dream house would be small, with just enough space for me but not so much space that it feels empty or difficult to furnish. I also don’t want to clean a big house! It would have LOTS of windows because I love natural light, and at least one of them would be a bay window. The backyard would have room for a garden. Most importantly, I want it to have character and be cozy!

Reply

Ahhhh She’s getting so big already!

My dream house would have a mini library with a loft. Preferably a spiral staircase up to the loft. Also, window seats that I could sit and hang out in.

Reply

Walnut, cranberry and blue cheese? That sounds delish!

Reply

I love, love, love Downtown Abbey. Totally recommend it! and I love Parenthood and lasagna too, so you know you can trust my judgement on pretty much anything. ;)

My dream house would have a huge master suite with a walk in closet just for me and an awesome bathroom, a big library (Beauty and the Beast style of course) and a workout room. Needless to say there’s a reason it’s called a “dream” house haha

Reply

I totally get you on the pool. After a run? My goodness that sounds fantastic.

Reply

Your dream house sounds like my dream house. Can we be roomies? The way to my heart would def involve avocado and seafood of any kind. I’m drooling just thinking about it.

Reply

That salad looks so good. What kind of dressing did you use?

Reply

I love house hunters!! I was JUST thinking about that this morning in the shower haha I was wondering what do the couples get out of the show? Just a chance to be on TV?

Reply

Hahaha I saw House Hunters and was like, ‘oh, I know some people who were on that show…”

And that’s a picture of them!

Reply

No way!!!!! That is so cool!!!

Reply

Mac n Cheese is definitely the way to my heart for sure! Or good buttery pancakes!
My dream home would definitely have an inground pool, home gym with the works, and a movie theatre with huge bean bag chairs :)

Have fun with BOB today! Good luck!

Enjoy your run with the BOB. Mine came in yesterday (to my mother in laws). I almost want to start pushing it now, just to get practice!

Reply

I love love love House Hunters! I’m on maternity leave right now and HGTV is pretty much on all day every day. They have great HH marathons on during the week – it’s awesome.

Reply

I LOVE Downton Abbey. It is really a great show. Maggie Smith is amazing in it. You really should watch it.

Reply

The first time I watched Downton Abbey I HATED it. I was so confused and couldn’t figure out who was who… Then I realized I was watching episode 6 instead of one!

Reply

OMG – That is me in the house hunters episode picture! My friend reads your blog and told me about it – hahaha – it was a fun experience even though I feel like they made me look a little trophy wife-ish…..I hope you enjoyed our episode – Brad and I are now married (he proposed 3 days after the episode aired), got married Nov 2011 and and we just welcomed a baby boy in Nov. 2012 – that episode seems like a lifetime ago :)

Reply

This made my day!!!! I loved your episode so so much plus I love that you are a runner!!!! Congrats on the marriage and baby!!! So exciting!

Reply

Downton Abbey is the best show on right now! I absolutely love it! My dream house will have an entire room will nothing but wall to wall, floor to ceiling bookshelves. We’re building it next year!

Reply

Brooke’s face is just so precious! She’s a beautiful gal!

My dream house will be on a lake. I don’t really care about the rest of it, as long as it’s loacated on a lake. It would be nice if it had space for a big gorgeous piano, but I’d rather it was on the lake. Can you imagine how awesome it would be to be able to end your runs by jumping into a lake? Among all the other amazingly fun possible lake activities…

Reply

Basically when we get to build our dream house (when we are 50 and actually have money to do so) I could put all the money into the kitchen. Basically that is where every dreamy thing about a house is for me ;) Oh and built ins – book shelves, beds, etc I love them all!

I tried to watch Downton Abby. Eeveryone keeps telling me to watch it. I only tried the 1st ep, but it just wasn’t happening. Maybe because I was running on the treadmill. I am more of a comedy person when I am running.

The salad you had for dinner is probably one of my all time favorite salads. With poppy seed dressing. Mmmmm.

Have so much fun on your run today! You and Brooke both. I can’t believe she is sitting up already too. Those last (nearly) 6 months have gone by crazy fast!

Reply

Ahh my boyfriend and I love HGTV. I am obsessed with Property Brothers. If you haven’t seen it, it’s where the couple buys a fixer-upper and the brothers help them create the house of their dreams.

Reply

I cannot get over how blue Brooke’s eyes are.

You’d definitely like Downton Abbey. It sucks everyone in. Even my husband watches.

Reply

Watching HGTV is good the way it inspires me to get things done for my house and the bad, making me want the greener pasture :\ Dream home includes pool, large yard, garden area with fruit trees, 5 bedrooms, guest house with a workout/gym area and an artists studio space for me. oh, and close to trails so I can run and bike safely :) I would LOVE to have HGTV come to my house and fix things up. We seriously need some help in some areas.

Haven’t seen Downton Abbey yet.

Meal to my heart. . . . chicken paprikash with german potatoes and hungarian dumplings. and a big hunk of artisan bread. -droool- and cheese.

Reply

I already had my dream home. Sadly due to this horrifying economy we had to sell it. Here are three things that made it my dream home: his and her walk in closets in the mast bedroom, hardwood floors, under cabinet lighting, huge backyard, double ovens. Okay so that’s more than three, dang I miss that house!

Right now we are loving The Following which is absolutely terrifying and gives me nightmares but I am addicted anyway.

Seafood, seafood is always the way to my heart. Brad proposed to me at the Cliff House restaurant in San Francisco at sunset. We had oysters for an appetizer and he slipped the ring into one of the empty oyster shells and presented it to me that way. Perfect in every way.

Reply

I love house hunters too, it’s so addicting. In my dream house I would like an amazing kitchen, a workout room and a library

I want a large outdoor kitchen with an indoor pool. I need hardwood floors & a kitchen that flows into my living room. I want a big master bedroom & bath. We also NEED a fenced in yard so I can just let the dog out & not freeze at 6 a.m. every morning!

Anything with buffalo sauce on it is the way to my heart!

I just read the first comments about how it’s fake. What a bummer! Property Brothers is so good! I don’t have a TV or cable but I really love HGTV! Makes me wish I did have a TV…

I live in a studio apt, Janae, so I feel your pain! I drool when I watch those shows.

My dream house would include: a walk in closet with a chandelier and an island (we can dream big right??), a wrap around porch/deck on the front, and a room just for running shoes/clothes/etc.

House Hunters is a great show. I have watched it so much that I’m all caught up and have watched many of them a gazillion times more. What I want in a house has changed over the years. I really suggest watching Downton Abbey, totally! Amazon.com has all of the seasons and I’m not sure about Netflix. The story line is fun, the actors are fun, and my husband loves watching it with me ~ bonus:) There isnt any one particular food that is a way to my heart. I rather try new recipes. Here is one you and Billy and Bangs might want to try and you can eat them while watching Downton Abbey!

My husband (of 5 months) and I love House Hunters! When we were in college they played House Hunters all day on Saturdays and like the crazy fun college kids we were, we would spend all day on the couch planning out our dream home. Now we’re in escrow for our first house! It may not be our dream home, but I think it’s pretty perfect for us right now. Our families are a little too excited over the fact that it has 4 bedrooms, I think they’re expecting grandchildren now?!?!

you NEED to watch “Kitchen Cousins” and the new show “Cousins on Call” on HGTV. I’m totally obsessed–the best part of the house is the kitchen anyway (duhhhh)

Have fun on your run!!!

My ‘dream’ house must have a pool, a huge yard, a nice/huge gym, a dance area, a movie theatre room, really comfy couches, and really fun play rooms for kids/teenagers. :) oh and a nice kitchen would be good too. hah

Reply

I want the same pool and kitchen. Do you want a slide into the pool? I do. Kitchen with double oven and HUGE fridge and freezer and doors onto a patio in the beautiful backyard. I want a view of either the water or the mountains. I want to be close enough to walk places but close enough to the freeway that we can get of town easily. I want all the kids to have their own bedrooms. I want my husband to have an office that isn’t our closet. Windows and light! And enough money for a staff to take care of it all and keep it nice and clean :)

Every picture you post of your baby is cuter than the last. She is beautiful!

we are in our second house. the first was a toaster. a little box if you will. this one is quite nice. 3 levels a lot of fixing up took place. but the yard is fantastically large for a city suburb (corner lot) with an amazing tree house in the back. i am all about big nice open well lit kitchens with tons of cupboards and gadgets. storage and bedrooms are high on the list and a place for my treadmill too. so far so good:) oh and i was hooked on downtown abbey before the end of the first episode. GREAT SHOW!

I like House Hunters International! We just moved to a new house and the best part about it is that I can step out my backyard gate into a park with running trails. Today I saw a deer on my run! A couple of days ago, I saw 3 deer!

Reply

In my dream house I would have a pool, a kitchen, and everything would be eco-friendly. I REALLY want a HUGE kitchen though. The kitchen is one of my favorite rooms in the house.

My favorite TV shows are Pretty Little Liars, Switched at Birth, and recently the Millionaire Matchmaker (shameful, I know!). I watch plenty of Boy Meets World in the morning during the week while I eat breakfast/before I go to work.

The way to get to my heart is through all vegetarian-friendly foods. But if I had to pick one food, it’d be dill pickles. Just bring me a jar of dill pickles and I’m in love.

Ahhh GO BROOKE!!! Such a big girl :) And I am a newly obsessed fan of Downton Abbey. LOVE it. SO SO SO much. I just finished the 1st season on Netflix, and will be starting the 2nd soon, and ohhh it is just so good. So much drama!

I would love a huge kitchen where it’s super comfortable for everyone to hang out, complete with a double-convection oven and a big gas range. Also, I would love a home gym with a treadmill and elliptical. Finally, I would love a balcony off of the living room where I could spend lazy mornings, drinking coffee and reading.

I’m kinda obsessed with “The Joe Schmo Show” and “Top Chef”.

I love crab cakes!!

3 things in my dream home? For one, a bigger kitchen with more cabinet space. Two, a cooktop with a built in skillet for making pancakes. Finally, I would love to have a rustic-Colorado style house that is super cozy.

Downton Abbey is incredible. It’s just a beautiful show and well acted. Highly recommend!

I fall asleep to watching House Hunters every night! I’d love to be on it someday [in the distant future whenever we decide to buy a house]… Especially the international episodes, sign me up :P I have seen a few renters though! Three things that I’d love to have: a pool, a fabulous kitchen, and a workout room [save time commuting to the gym].

We actually watched season 1, episode 1 of Downtown Abbey last night and I thought it was okay, nothing great… Maybe it’ll grow on me?

Even many posts later, I still think that, right now, a Chipotle burrito bowl is the way to my heart.

^But this changes on a weekly/daily basis. :)

Brownies are usually a pretty good bet, too. What do you mean, they aren’t a meal?!?!

My dream house would definitely focus on the kitchen – I want lots of prep/counter space, storage everywhere, and a pizza oven hahah

I love House Hunters too…I for sure want a hot tub…I think it would be awesome to get in after a hard run or hard workout!

A home theater for your treadmill/workout room? That would be sooooo great! (Along with the water/Gatorade fountain). I would also want a spin bike and stepmill in there and I would be in heaven.
