Remember on my birthday last week when I said I had good news?

Say hello to the newest employee of Google and Gold’s Gym.

IMG 7786

I had the Google spin audition last Wednesday and the Gold’s Gym audition this morning. For google I actually taught one of the classes and then today I just did a few songs for the director.

Both gyms do not offer child care so I will be doing the early morning classes before Billy has to go to school… looks like it is back to waking up at a decent hour again:)

For Google I will be a sub for a little while until a class opens up but I am pretty stoked because I get to eat breakfast at their amazing cafeteria (seriously, it is ridiculously good) after I teach a class. I start teaching at Gold’s in just two weeks.

It felt so so so good to be teaching a cycling class again. I kind of love it a whole lot. Getting paid to work out is pretty much the best.

We are off to take Brooke to her 6 month appointment. Hope you are having an amazing day! See you in the morning!

Reply

Reply

Congrats!!! You rock! We want a full report on the Google menu!!!

Reply

Congrats! Both sound like great gigs! Like you, I was a teacher (and a school counselor) before kids and then decided to stay home. When my oldest was about one, I got certified to teach Spinning. It has been such a great part-time job over the past seven years. Just enough to keep the mind busy and allow for adult interaction while getting paid to do something you’d likely do anyway. Have fun getting back in the saddle!

Reply

That’s so awesome Janae, congrats!! And I have heard Google has awesome food!

Reply

Congrats on the new jobs!!! I do have a few questions regarding fitness and how you stay fit. Do you run every day? If not, do you take rest days or do alternative cardio? Also, do you snack or just eat three meals a day? Now that I’ve hit 31, I’m having difficulty losing weight. My goal is to run at least 5 days a week (average 6 miles per day?) and keep my meals down to three per day. Thoughts? Thank you!

Reply

Congrats!! I finished my first day at my new job today. I wish I could get paid to work out instead of what I’m doing!

Reply

YAY! Congrats! I wish I lived in California, I would come to your class everyday. I hope you make up some fun new spin routines to post on the blog as well!
